Good sleep, quiet and clean

When I checked in the computers were down and the staff was unable to retrieve my reservation, however, they quickly put me in a room and finished the check in process later. The room I stayed in was clean and nice. It is an older hotel and the furnishings were worn, but clean. The bed was comfortable and clean. The parking lot and walkways were well […] lit and I felt comfortable staying alone, as a female, which is not always true when I travel! The breakfast was nice, the staff helpful, the pool small but clean, and the airport shuttle free and available when I needed it. I would definitely stay again, especially for the good price. I have stayed in other hotels around the Phoenix airport that weren't nearly as comfortable, clean, or safe. Mehr

late booking needed a room fast ok for the price a bit outdated but if you miss that late decade feel will take ya right back.

Small room, dingy and dirty. Front desk was nice and the hotel is extreemly close to airport but is a small room and not very clean.

Super cheap and easy. Not the Ritz by any means, but for the money I would recommend this hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Cancelled this reservation after arriving. Pictures on website and the hotel itself did not look the same. Location shady and did not feel safe. Cancelled.

Simple. Flew in late, stayed one night. Shuttle right there at terminal. Only 5 minute ride to hotel. Check-in was easy and friendly. Room not fancy but it isn't meant to be. It was clean/ Breakfast was good. Reasonably safe area. Good value for what I needed.

The owner lied regarding the actual cost of the room and tried to get me to cancel my reservation with you. I did not and told him what I thought and also called and complained to you

the only good thing about this was the free ride to the airport, nothing real special about the hotel. the bed was comfortable

I discovered a dead bug (cricket) in our room. I thought the selection for the continental breakfast was poor and there was no one there to report an issue to.

Rooms are dirty and missing essentials like a blow dryer!!! Although they insist it had one and I could not find it.... The holes in the bathroom wall where it used to be was the clue!?!? Had to be moved from a closet a room??!!!!!

It is a dump! Third world standarts. AC doesn't work just makes horible noice. Worst hotel ever been to. Had several rooms at the same stay all really bad.

The room was clean but somewhat worn and the area was not the best overall it did the job I had a place to sleep

I made the reservation at the last minute due to flight cancellation. The first room I was assigned was on an outside wall and was very hot even after 5 hours of running the AC. The manager was pleasant about my request to move to another room. I did not eat the free breakfast the next morning, but I did have coffee which was good.

Much older building than I was expecting, but easy to get to from the airport. Room was clean & neat, but very small.

My room was very clean. The price was great and the access to the airport was excellent. They use the 24/7 shuttle from the Fastrak Parking lot next door so the shuttle was there in 3 minutes and ready to go to the airport at 4:30 AM. Five minutes to the airport. Nice people that were friendly and helpful at the desk. Within walking distance ( 2 blocks) […] to Ruby Tuesdays for dinner but not a lot of restaurants nearby. It was a residential/ commercial office building area so it felt safe but not much going on. Quiet area. Overall a good deal that is convenient to the airport. Mehr

Well the hotel is good but the bed no good I have my backache the bed is old need to replace a new one. The tv is old the ironing board is dirty. some lights is broken.

I arrived in Phoenix around 11pm and called the hotel to see if I could get a ride. The gentleman on the front desk was extremely helpful and pleasant. I walked outside and the shuttle was already there waiting...impressive. The room was a standard HJ room...nothing fancy but very clean and more than adequate. I was a little nervous bc I was by myself […] and a female. But the neighborhood is totally fine and reasonably quiet. All in all I would say I was very impressed with the hotel. It was cheap, clean, with friendly staff and a decent continental breakfast. Perfect for a quick nights sleep.... Mehr

A rather inexpensive motel (not really a hotel) which is extremely convenient to the PHX airport. They have a 24-hour shuttle service that is great! There is a restaurant (Ruby Tuesday's) about 1/2 mile away, which is very good. I had a very early morning flight and this made the airport check-in connection very easy.

Room was clean but the bathroom was dirty. There was disgusting hair in the shower and I felt dirty after my shower. Do not stay here!!!!

At first appearance the hotel seemed clean and OK. The lobby was very clean looking small and utilitarian. The person at the desk was affable and very helpful. The snack bar was actually a room very pleasant setup. However no one checks to keep the breakfast foods stocked so everyone can have a choice. The room seemed clean the mustard brown color of […] the walls gave it a dingy look, (Management should change that color immediately.) We found we had an issue with the linen and the night manager pretty much let us know he could not help us. I insisted quite vigorously and he found someone to resolve our issue. Andy the day manager was just prefect as a hotel host he was prompt and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay safe and comfortable. Just an after thought the hotel has a very nice loggia with attractive tile, it is crying out to be brought to its former beauty with a good buffing. Mehr

The place is older and needed work but for the convienience of not having to drive into downtown and price, it was worth it. The rail stop is a 6 minute easy walk. You are just down the street from hotels costing three times as much. If all you need is a bed at night then you are here. I mentioned to the desk clerk a couple of things that I noticed […] needed attention in the room and he put a maintenance man on them pronto. I didn't use the pool but there were others around it and it looked clean from what I could see. Easy freeway and airport access and the rental car terminal was also easy to get to if you had need for one. There is a free airport shuttle to the rail stop if you didn't want to get a car at all and then that 6 minute walk to the hotel. Have Enterprise bring you a car and save the airport fees and hassle. I will stay there again if my business has me in that part of town again. Mehr

We understand the difficulties of maintaining a hotel/motel however room was not equal to Howard Johnson standards. Room was 1970's, toilet facilities shower ect. were worn, outdated and in disrepair. This along with two cockroach roommates made my stay uncomfortable. Bed OK, pillows, OK , bathroom substandard, shower stall prehistoric, breakfast area […] OK, Location OK, sfaff very good, friendly, helpful. Would I stay again, not under the same conditions. Very clean and great location

The proximity to the airport can't be beat. I arrrived the night before for an early am flight. I had to run out to the airport at night to confirm some details. I was there, conducted business, and back within 25 minutes yet I never once heard an airplane pass overhead during my stay. I had to go back to the airport a week later and happily stayed […] in the same hotel. The Free shuttle was also right on time, as requested, even at 4:45 in the morning. Mehr

This hotel was old. The tape on the ceiling was coiming off, the room had old carpets & the entire room, hallways, & hotel needs painting & an upgrade. I would not recommend this hotel.

I did not realize this was just a "Motel" when I booked the hotel. Did the reservation in a hurry, and did not have time to do the due dilligence. Hotel was very shady, to say it bluntly. The room did not have all the light fixtures working. Bedsheets had stains on them, and looked like the appearance of dead termintes as well. Did not feel like touching […] anything in the room. I wanted to leave the hotel and check into another hotel, but we were so exhausted that we did not have the energy to look up another hotel. This was my first and hopefully only experience with Howard Johnson. I dont think I will ever stay in this hotel again. Mehr

The ONLY reason I selected this room was based on the location. I specifically needed to stay there. Having said that, it filled its purpose. I would expect MUCH better from a Howard Johnson. The building is in DESPERATE need of rennovation... not merely more layers of paint. The bathroom was laden with mold and there was long hair clogging the drain […] that house-keeping didn't care to clean. The rest of the room wasn't filthy but it was FAR from being clean. In essence, they are cutting costs where ever they can... this is obvious in maintainance and cleaning. I would expect this from a "Benny-Lava" motel ... for about half the price that I paid for this room- certainly not from a Howard Johnson. Next year I will spend a few more bucks and stay at a nicer hotel up the street. I advise you to do the same! Mehr

The only reason to stay here is for the location near the airport. The room was dirty, worn, broken tiles in the bathroom and seedy. Also, every time I went to the front desk I had to wait at least five minutes for someone to show up. I would not stay here again.

Your hotel is close to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. This location makes it easy for one traveling by air. Thanks for having your shuttle service every 15 minutes 24/7.
