Gute, einfache Übernachtungsmöglichkeit für Aktivurlauber und Selbstversorger. Lediglich Entsorgung der Abfälle wäre verbesserungsfähig (Sammelpunkt hinter dem Haus >> viele Gäste lassen ihre Müllsäcke bei Abreise einfach in Treppenhaus stehen). Ansonsten sehr zu empfehlen

Ich war auf Geschäftsreise in Helsinki unterwegs und fand das Hotel für diesen Zweck mehr als ausreichend. Die direkte Umgebung ist touristisch nicht ansprechend und wird von Einheimischen gerne als das "Kneipen- und Arbeiterviertel" angepriesen. Dennoch hat man abends und nachts ein hohes subjektives Sicherheitsempfinden auf den Strassen. Ich hatte ein Zimmer zum Sparpreis, es war sauber und neu. Einziger Knackpunkt: es hatte keine Fenster ! Das ist recht unkonventionell, hilft aber beim Schlafen, da Licht und Strassenlaerm effektive ausgeschlossen werden. Das Fruehstueck ist sehr zu empfehlen !

Das Hotel liegt unweit des Flughafens Vantaa und ist damit problemlos mit dem Free Shuttle Bus erreichbar (Vorsicht: kein Taxi nehmen, da völlig überteuert!). Die Lage des Hotels ist zwar landschaftlich nicht gerade schön, aber die Anbindung mit dem Bus nach Helsinki City klappt wunderbar. Insgesamt war ich sehr zufrieden mit diesem Hotel - großes Zimmer, saubere Ausstattung, freundlicher, kompetenter Service und sehr gutes Essen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut! Absolut empfehlenswert, vor allem für kurze Aufenthalte.
Lage
GLO Hotel Art befindet sich mitten in Helsinki, in der Nähe der folgenden Sehenswürdigkeiten: Sinebrychoff-Kunstmuseum, Kiasma und Athenäum. Nicht weit entfernt befinden sich: Nationalmuseum und Senate Square.

ich hatte nach einem historischen Hotel gesucht und ich fand ein ehemaliges Studenten-Verbindungshaus (so verriet die Dame am Emfpang), gebaut im Stile einer Burg, mit entsprechendem Foyer, kleiner Lounge mit Kamin, Leseecke und Internet-PC und Gewoelbekeller fuer das Fruehstueck. Versammlungssaal und Billiardzimmer habe ich nicht gesehen. Im Hinterhaus, […] geschickt angeschlossen ueber einen Glasgang, befanden sich die Zimmer, verteilt ueber 3 Etagen: geschmackvoll schlicht eingerichtet mit allem was die Webseite versprach. Internet einfach verbinden und es ist da, ohne bezahlen oder Passwort; Wasserkocher mit Tee und Kaffee incl., Minibar gegen Rechnung. Kleines Bad mit WC und Dusche, fuer mich ausreichend. Stimmig eingerichteter Fruehstuecksraum mit einem leckeren Fruehstuecksbuffet. Mehr

"Sehr zu empfehlen. Familienfreundlich."
Hotel Linna ist ein sehr schönes, sauberes Hotel. Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal. Für „Frühstücker“ gab es morgens genau das Richtige. Auch für unsere Kinder (1 und 2 Jahre) gab es genügend leckere Auswahl. Das Babyfone reicht von den letzten Räumen im Erdgeschoss bis zur Hotelbar ;-) Ausserdem gibt es ein riesen Spielzimmer mit tollen Spielsachen. […] Toll! Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, zu Fuß oder mit dem Rad kann Helsinki gut besucht werden. Den Gratisfahrradverleih vom Hotel aus für die 6 Tage unseres Aufenthalts fanden wir genial. Das Zimmer war sehr komfortabel, der Frühstücksraum und das Mobiliar erinnerte an Frankreich und das Buffet am Morgen war genau richtig. Wir haben ganz wunderbare Tage in Helsinki verlebt, was auch unserem Hotel zu verdanken war. Es liegt ziemlich zentral und ist trotzdem ruhig. Der Service war an jeder Stelle (fast) perfekt: Rezeption, Frühstück, Fragen abseits des Hotels (Wegbeschreibungen) und zum Hotel selber (was wann wo wie) oder zum Beispiel zur Benutzung der Sauna. Alles sehr […] kompetent und unkompliziert. Das "fast" oben bezieht sich nur auf eine winzige Kleinigkeit, als eine Angestellte beim Frühstück offenbar nicht ganz die beste Laune hatte. Das Hotel Linna, Helsinki, liegt recht zentral. Die Tram-Haltestelle befindet sich nur wenige Minuten entfernt, der Hafen und das West-Terminal sind zu Fuss schnell erreichbar. Die gemeinsam genutzten Räume sind in sehr schönem Jugenstil (wie man ihn noch selten sieht) gehalten. "Hotel Linna Helsinki"
Hotel befand sich gerade im Umbau. Zimmer und der Service war ok. Jedoch war das Frühstück sehr schwach. Die Tische waren schmutzig und die eine Person, welche das Frühstück betreute war überlastet. Ebenfalls das Buffet sah unappetitlich aus.

We booked one of the smart rooms. It was small but more than met our needs. The staff were exceptionally good and the breakfast choice was also good. The hotel was in the design area, which suited us. Should we ever return to Helsinki, we would choose to stay here again.

Overall, I had a good stay. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The first room they gave me was a very long walk from reception - two elevators, 4 card key entry doors. It was a very small (but cute) room. When I complained to reception that there was no where to hang my clothes (only shelves), they moved me to a bigger room, closer to reception. […] This was still not huge, but much better and with a closet. The rooms are freshly renovated. I had dinner in the restaurant which was quite good. The public rooms are fascinating, with almost a Harry Potter Hogwarts feel, with a warm welcome and friendly staff. The bedrooms are completely different, havig been recently refitted and are the best I have seen in a long time (though a little compact). When I next return to Helsinki it's Glo Hotel for sure.

Wonderful entrance/reception area. Only about 800 metre from the Helsinki centre so convienient for just about everything.........
"Fantastic place to stay in Helsinki"
This hotel is located within easy distance from the train station. You can take the tram or just walk.It looks like a castle from the outside, and reception is very comfortable. The rooms are very modern with scandinavian design. We walked most everywhere, but there are also numerous tram stops within walking distance. This hotel is in a great location of Helsinki and within walking distance of the main railway station, several museums and shopping areas. My initial booking was for the single room, which I found rather small. So I upgraded to a twin for the rest of the stay and that room had plenty of space. Newly redone - I was the first guest in the room. ALL is done perfect. Friendly service in reception. Good breakfast. And a very well done rework makes it a hit - especially at this price.

We stayed here for 3 nights in January and found it to be a great little place. The outside of the building is fabulous, as is the reception area. Our room was in a more modern part of the building, but it was very clean and comfortable, with nice touches such as a cuddly toy on the bed. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful- really they bent […] over backwards to help us. The buffet breakfast was surprisingly good, real cheeses and plenty of eggs, meats and other continental treats. On the final night there was a problem with our bathroom and they immediately upgraded us free of charge to a larger room to make up for the inconvenience. The location is a short walk from the main part of town- not far at all and far enough to be away from the partying and noise. There are also plenty of small shops and bars nearby should you need food. Overall I would give this hotel a 4/5- for the price I certainly wasn't expecting such great service and surroundings and I would definitely go back there again. Mehr
converted from a beautiful old building; full of characters and details. The receptionists are by far the best I've seen. They really make effort to make you feel welcomed! I'd highly recommend it.

Hotel design is really nice. Nice library with free internet access. Rooms are confortable and well maintained. Bed is real nice. Breakfast has several options (hot and cold). This hotel is rally good and with the cute castle look. The reception staffs are very nice and the sauna is really good. It is a good place to stay with.
"Choose another hotel until renovations finished"
While not awful there are better hotels for the price in the downtown area. Unfortunately, the hotel is going through a renovation which made it somewhat noisy at times. The condition of our room was poor compared to comparable hotels-- all small things that added up to an uncomfortable stay (mold in the bathroom, non-functioning lights and wifi, poor […] ventilation). I can only think that it must be related to the renovations and that maybe all rooms will be remodeled by early 2012. In the meantime, you'd do best to stay elsewhere. Mehr

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel. Set in a marvelous historic setting, the rooms are modern and comfortable. There is sauna available in the eveinings and bikes for use at no cost. The breakfast was delicious - your typical smorgasbord style event. Staff was very friendly and were there to meet to your needs.

Bit of a walk from the towncentre but worth it. Great, friendly staff, lovely rooms, handy for town. Didn't try breakfast but reckon it should be ok. Building work going on at the back...so expect early noise and strange smells.....but hej, it's the City!

Very nice cosy hotel made with knights time style. Rooms are rather bit small, but very cute. The breakfast was very tasty, had a big variety of fresh fruits and gourmet cheese.

Hotel Linna is great value for money. Although the rooms are dated which means that the hotel is more like a 3*. It's clean and convenient and the staff are excellent. The rooms are comfortable (no thermostat, so a little hot). Unfortunately, the sauna is only open for an hour and half each evening (around dinnertime) which meant I couldn't make use […] of it. My husband is from Helsinki so we travel there frequently for long stays. We like to try different hotels and had read about The Linna in a travel guide.The hotel was everything we hoped it would be. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with making special arrangements for us. While the room was typical European small, ours was very comfortable […] and always clean. Location was perfect, just a short walk to the city center and easy transportation. Breakfast was also very good: while not a large selection as we see in the larger hotels, it was none the less satisifing. "Fabulous deal for the price"
A lovely, architecturally interesting hotel with spotless rooms--small, as often in Europe, but with high end appointments. A few minutes further to walk to main attractions than some hotels, with a couple blocks of less desirable character, but in no way dangerous. Great service, great breakfast. The value for price can't be beat.
