The hotel was only for western tourists - therefore the staff spoke very good english but the feeling was very "tourist-like". The service was good with very friendly staff, the location was great. But the rest wasn't good. Bad room, old and many broken stuff. The breakfast buffet was the worst I had in China with lots of old food.

Everything about Crowne Plaza Beijing Wangfujing is great, especially hotel itself and its location near tourist sites. Coffee house food not so good though.

excellent hotel. staff very accomodating and helpful. Restaurants iin hotel very good and not overpriced. Location is fairly close to all sightseeing venues. Tours are easy to arrange through hotel staff. Definitely would recommend this hotel !

large rooms, location wangfujing street

We had a wonderfull time at this hotel...the conciege staff was the best.....our room was comfortable..but the carpet and arm chair were in need of refurbishment... The food at the breakfast buffet was not to a high standard...however hats off to the bakery dept. over all a great stay and many thanks to the concierge staff.....

Although I noticed some negative comments for this hotel on the web; I could not find anything negative on this hotel. The rooms were okay, the restaurants fine with friendly service and I was surprized by the help given from the concierge ; When i made him aware of my plan to visit a shop somewhere in Beijing he checked first by phone if this shop […] was still open, then he arrange a taxi and instructed the driver where to go. Last but not least he even instructed the driver to wait for me and to bring me back for it would be hard to find a return taxi in that area. I was impressed. The reception was very friendly as well at arrival. I would recommend this hotel to all for its a good hotel with value for money. I for sure will use it again. Mehr

5 star rating? That needs to be down-graded to 3 star at best. The best restaurant in the hotel? The wine bottle did not even have a cork, but was a screw off. The food? Average at best. The hotel staff barely spoke any English. The hotel concierge? Didnt know a thing about the city and could not recommend anything. I needed to give them ideas and then […] they would look up MY IDEA on google in order to help me locate MY IDEA. The icing on the cake was my last night in the hotel. We had dinner at the aforementioned restaurant. Paid for our meal and left the restaurant. Only to be followed out of the restaurant by the waitress accusing us of paying for our meal with fake Chinese money! I stated the money I paid for the meal with came out of the hotel ATM. The hotel ATM was dispersing fake money! When i made this clear, they apologized and took care of everything? No, that would have been the right thing to do. They stated I am responsible for ANY fake money THEIR ATM disperses. They furthered their position by stating the ATM does not belong to them, but rather belongs to the "Bank Of China". They then called in the police and a rep from the Bank of China. And the Bank of China rep apologized and took care of this embarrassing issue? Not a chance. The bank of China rep showed me the fine print on the receipt which basically states IF fake money is dispersed by THEIR ATM, it is MY responsibility to KNOW this. Needless to say, the police were no help either and I ended up paying for my dinner twice! Not only should you stay away from this hotel, I think it would be in the best interest of Hotels.com to remove this hotel from their choices in China Mehr

Nice hotel, very clean and rooms were very comfortable . Staff service wasn't the best, especially the concierge who either didn't know much local info or didn't seem all that interested. Besides that, a good location with a local food market and many places to eat in walkable distance.

This is definitely a mid-tier hotel. Most of the staff at desk and concierge were very helpful, but several were downright snarky, especially at checkout. The wireless in the rooms (exta expense) was horrible, made worse by fact that you had to re-sign in eve ten minutes. Rooms were clearly tired but well maintained. Cannot fault this hotel. Clean, perfect location, close to main shopping area, close to Forbidden City.

Excellent hotel to stay at. Many of the employees spoke English which helped us tremendously. We were able to hire a driver to take us to the sites and it was reasonable. Close to many of the sites we wanted to see. Only about 90 minutes from the Great Wall. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

This is my preferred Hotel in Beijing, right @ the beginning of the shopping mall it's a short walk to all major outlets and quality restaurants..

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and found it to be above average. Our room was spacious, relatively clean, and well decorated. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of food ranging from Chinese to International cuisine. The location is great...hotel is right next to a large and trendy shopping street, the night food market (selection of exotic/weird […] foods like scorpions and bugs), and a couple of minutes away from the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. The only negative item I have to mention is the price of the breakfast buffet....way too pricey. Check out tripadivsor for non-retouched photos of the hotel. Mehr

크라운플라자호텔, 지내는 동안 편안하고, 깔끔해서 기분 좋았습니다. 직원들이 영어도 잘하고, 서비스도 훌륭했어요! 관광정보도 친절하게 알려주고, 지도랑 여행정보도 마구마구 제공해주었습니다. 고마웠어요~ 크라운플라자는 동양사람들이 별로 보이지 않더라구요. 주로 서양인들이 많았고, 중국인들이나 한국인들은 많이 보지 못했어요. 조식은 훌륭하지는 않았지만 중국음식이 입에 맞지 않으셨던 우리 할머니께서는 좋아하시더라구요. 볶음밥, 깔끔하고 맛있었어요 ㅎㅎ 무엇보다도 제일 좋았던 것은 위치에요! 전철역까지도 5분이면 걸어갈 수 있는 거리이고, 왕푸징 거리에서 걸어서 1분! 완전 가까운 곳에 있어서 북경여행이 즐거웠습니다. 다음에 […] 북경에 또 가게 되면 다시 이용하고 싶어요! Hotellet ligger väldigt bra till, mitt på en aveny med västerländska butiker och restauranger. Gångavstånd till förbjudna staden och Himmelska fridens torg. Nära till tunnelbana som är ett bra färdmedel i Beijing. Rummen är helt okej, det går även bra att få plats med extrasäng. Dåligt att det kostar att använda internet på rummen, men det är gratis […] wifi nere i lobbyn. Consiergen hjälper gärna till om du har specifika önskemål. Tex fixade de bil åt oss för att åka till kinesiska muren och bokade bord på restaurang. Frukostbuffén innehåller något för alla, både kinesiska mat såväl som västerländsk. Åt inte middag där... Et meget bra hotel som ligger i en av Bejing shopping gater og med gangavstand til flere av severdighetene, blandt annet den forbudte by.

Hotellet rekommenderas varmt! Stora bra rum med sköna sängar och mycket rent. Frukostbuffén är fantastisk, mycket att välja på, både kinesiskt och västerländskt. Kockar som lagar omeletter mm efter dina önskemål. Hotellets läge är toppen på Wangfujing. Med promenadavstånd till tunnelbana och Förbjudna staden. Hotellet ligger inte som kartan på hotels.com […] visar, utan på Wangfujing, den stora gågatan med många varuhus. This is a great hotel and we really recommend it, great location, great breakfast buffet, perfect location. Nice and very clean. We will defenitely stay there nest time! Mehr
