Holiday Inn Calgary - Macleod Trail South - Calgary

We stayed for one weekend during the Calgary Comic Expo. Our rooms were small but very clean. The staff were polite and helpful. The food at the restaurant was very good (We ate there 3 times). And the location was less than a 5 minute drive to the BMO center and the Stampede grounds. This hotel was also reasonably priced. We are definitely staying […] here again. Mehr

Overpriced, dirty, sheets felt like sand paper, HVAC couldn't keep temp. Down it was hot in the room and cold outside????? Walls are paper thin. The restaurant is overpriced. I wouldn't stay there again.

We recently stayed at this hotel for two nights. It was clean and good value for the price. The front desk was very friendly but not very efficient. I was told breakfast was included -- it wasn't and no one responded tot the note I wrote on the bill when I paid it anyway. Our wakeup call was not made. Our rekeyed keys did not work. The estimated time […] to the airport was doubled from our GPS -- GPS was right given hat it was 5 in the morning and no traffic on the road on a Sunday. Couple of good restaurants int he area but I think you would be better off elsewhere. Mehr

I reserved and paid in advance for a room with 2 queen beds as there were 2 adults and 2 full-grown teenagers in my party. Upon arrival at the hotel I was informed that they had given out all the rooms with 2 queen beds but we were "upgraded" to a room with 1 king bed and a pull out. The king bed was quite comfortable, however the pull out was a double […] and extremely uncomfortable. I don't think it was right to have my reservation changed especially when I paid in advance for this. Mehr

The room was adequate. The room service people were helpful. The side door did not work and next day was wide open. It,s not the most convenient set up to get to your room. Close to Calgary Stampede grounds. Would be nice if they had a free continental breakfast. someone who needs a place to sleep it's fine.

it was a great stay - only two issues 1- there was no hot tub, we were disapointed # 2-the first time we went swimming there were gobs of hair that we took out of the pool ourselves.....other than these two observations ....the pool was nice and warm!!!

I found the hotel to be clean and quiet and the staff was very helpful. Have stayed there before and will stay there again. I also liked it because it was close to downtown as well as the Chinook Mall.

The hotel was very clean and hotel staff were very helpful and pleasant. Great location close to downtown, shopping and restaurants. Would stay there again. Rates very reasonable.

The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. I have rarely slept in a more comfortable hotel bed. The pool was a good temperature, and very clean. There was some neighborhood noise (ie the c-train), but the noise of the air/fan was enough to mute the outside noise. All in all, an excellent stay.

Very nice hotel clerks. Clean hotel. We got a little lost trying to find the third floor - just down the stairs! (We felt stupid about that later). King-size bed. Clean bathrooms. Quiet floor. I only had one complaint. The f-king vent on the wall directly next to the bed. Stupid thing made so much noise - clicking and clacking all night long. This room […] is not for light sleepers. My b-friend said he slept no problem. For me, not so much. So if that doesn't bother you, then I recommend this hotel. Mehr

- Magnetic stripe door key readers don't work very well. Front staff had a lineup of people they checked in but had to "redo" their magnetic stripe card door keys. And for some reason they insisted that we produce ID even if it had been 2 minutes since they checked us in. - Hot water is only hot for 10 seconds, then freezing cold, then boiling hot, […] etc. Fluctuates many times per minute, making showering nearly impossible. - Heavy daylight blocking curtains don't move, making it impossible to block out the early morning light. - Business nearby with an outside PA system made announcements every 5 minutes, late into the night - paper thin windows and walls didn't block the noise. - Skunk took up residence nearby the hotel (I'm convinced it was actually booked into one of the rooms) and the smell, though faint, was noticeable in my room the entire time I was there. - Restaurant/lounge food was great, as was the service there. Reservation was wrong, POOL was ice cold, NO HOT TUB available, Pull Out Bed in room broken on first night, had to sleep on couch.Will NOT stay here again.

we only stayed one night for a concert, but the rooms were nice, clean and reasonably priced. the food in the restaurant was fantastic.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The only issue we had was in the restaurant. One dish was advertised as a chicken breast with tiger prawns. It actually was served as a leg/thigh quarter with some small and rather bland shrimp. Other than that it was ok.

Hotel trés confortable est trés bien situé lorsque l'on assiste au rodéo (2 stations de métro).
