Pear Tree Inn Fenton - Fenton

This was my third stay here. Location and amenities were determining factors. Comfortable rooms, and breakfast is a bonus.

This hotel doesn't have a lot of frills, but it is very clean and the staff is great. We simply needed a place to sleep while visiting friends. The rooms were cozy (ok, a bit small which was expected) but clean, which is a BIG deal to me. The building is older but you can tell they keep it tidy. Certainly will stay again!

The room was ok. A few hairs on the sheets. Hall had a skunky smell. The beds seemed to be uncomfortable, we had a hard time sleeping because of this. The staff was friendly and accomodating. I price we got from one of the discount websites was higher than if we were have just called the motel directly, so I over paid. Overall...just ok. Not worth what […] I paid. Mehr

A very nice motel that was easy to check in and We were in our room very fast. We had a very good breakfast the next morning there was plenty of everything to eat. Check out was very fast. Our stay could not been better, we will be back. Thanks for a good stay.

Desk clerk was beyond friendly and very helpful and accomodating. Room was IMMACULATE. Thoughtful design of hotel--elevator is recessed so no room is right near it. Comfortable beds, but be aware they are full size. And...thermostat rather than one of those rattling boxes on the wall! On the weekend, this industrial area is mostly deserted. The saying "You get what you pay for" is applicable for this hotel. The price was good, but overall we weren't extremely pleased. The toilet ran a lot, and when I told the person at the front desk about it as we were checking out, it seemed to fall on deaf ears. When we checked out, the lady at the front desk wouldn't even get up off her chair. Her […] shirt had a button unbuttoned and her bare belly was hanging out. When I tried to talk to her about a couple of concerns about our stay, she ignored me. So, I walked away after telling her that would be our last stay there. Two nights later we stayed with a different chain in another town. For $10 more for the night, we had a whole lot better accomodations! It was worth the extra $10. Mehr

Got in after midnight and service was still polite. Breakfast was good and the worker was very pleasant with a large crowd.

The only complaint is the ventilation system does not adequately keep cigarette smoke from entering non-smoking rooms. The hotel staff was accommodating us by moving us to a room that was somewhat less smokey. The whole staff was very friendly and helpful. It is a reasonable hotel for the price.

Great stay! Hotel was outdated and the first floor smelled like an old womans home but over all a comfortable stay! Hotel was so quiet and location was impeccably convienient. Our room was clean and cozy! Bathroom was super clean! I would recommend this hotel again and again! Thanks Pear Tree & Drury Inn Suites! Job well done!

No hot breakfast as was the case in Arnold and no wine or beer in the late afternoon with snacks - this Pear Tree had only popcorn and lemonade. Other than the disappointment of no hot breakfast an no adult beverages at 5 PM - location was convenient.

Got in late and felt like I was not in a good area because you had to stand in the entry and talk through glass. But once in the door the staff was great. Hotel was great. Just a quick sleep over. The beds were comfy, but small. Just full size. Breakfast was good.

This was a very reasonable price for the hotel and a great place to stay if you're on a budget. When I searched around a 10 mile radius it seemed to be the second cheapest one and it was 100% better than the cheapest one. Staff was very friendly, room was very clean and a good size, good bed, shower had great water pressure. It was in a very nice area […] and walking distance to great restaurants and gas stations. I would definetly stay here again and recommend it to others. Mehr

The staff was refreshing, all American, English speaking, friendly people. Loved my time at the Pear Tree Inn.

we stayed at Pear tree for three days and i was very satisfied with the staff and the hotel in general!! my room was very clean(even smelled clean) and i was kept stocked with towels and toiletries!!!

Beds were small. Not used to a full size bed. Traveled with our married son and family. Loved the connecting doors. Great with the grandkids. Breakfast area was a little small. Food about what I expect. Great price and location. Pool area clean.

Easy check in, very friendly staff. This feels like an older property, but from reading previous reviews it was better than I expected. The place did not feel cozy to me, but it met our needs with comfortable beds, decent amenities, and good location. It was quiet even though a fair number of rooms were occupied. Found the hotel convenient to Six Flags, Grants Farm, the Sculpture park, and easy access to Downtown as you go against the stream. Friendly and helpful staff. Good stay for an inexpensive hotel. Left more cash for playing.

I stayed at this hotel after reading many reviews about it being clean and it was. Beds were hard, but we slept well. Bathroom was small, but was fine. Breakfast was good, with cereal, muffins and waffles. Pool was nice.

The place was great. NIce people and very accommodating. We traveled with a dog for the first time--they couldn't have been nicer when he started barking whie we were at a funeral. I will stay there again for sure.

Very clean spot - actually one of the very few that allowed pets and felt clean enough to get a very good night of rest without feeling like you were in an unclean place.

The Pear Tree Inn was a very nice hotel to stay at, very convenient to downtown St. Louis, the surrounding areas that we were visiting. Hotel was clean and quiet. Front desk service was good. Breakfast was good and many choices. Only thing it could have was an exercise room, but I ran around surrounding area for a workout.

The hotel literally stinks...of cigarrette smoke. And this was at the non-smoking rooms. They are understaffed and their service shows it.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights for part of our family vacation. It was very clean and the breakfast in the morning was excellent. My kids and husband LOVED the waffles! We went to Six Flags, the Arch and the St. Louis Zoo and all were with in about 25 min driving distance. I would definitely chose to stay here again.

I spent one lovely evening here. Beds were comfortable, internet was fast, front desk was very friendly.

We stayed here because we were going to Six Flags St. Louis. It's was less than 10 minutes from the park, and the price was better than the places closer to the park. It was a nice, comfortable stay, and they have many places to eat within walking distance, a real plus. Comp breakfast was the usual fare, but worked well for us. Would stay there aga […] in. Mehr

After a very long drive from Oklahoma I was looking forward to a refreshing stay at a pleasant hotel with a dip in the pool before retiring. Upon arrival I discover that the pool had been closed for repairs. I then was told to park in the back to access entry to my room on the third floor. After dragging my bags up 3 flights of stairs (I have a chronic […] back problem) I learned that the elevator was on the far side of the hotel. The desk attendant gave very little infor. on such details. Later I asked about a cart for luggage and he said there was one but when I went to find it there was none. I then was told that there was NOT the extended continental breakfast as they had advertised on line. I have a blood suger problem that requires protein (eggs, yogurt and sausage as was served at some hotels I sayed at on my trip that advertised "extended breakfast") The cost of the other hotels was actually less than at the Pear Tree. On top of the above problems I found the commons areas of the hotel as very dreary. The elevator was about 100 degrees inside and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. It was designed with a window that looked out on the town. Only problem is that the window was filthy. You could tell it was in need of serious cleaning even at night. I did not end up staying at this hotel so can not say how comfortable the bed was. The room was acceptable from my brief look- see but very small and with no extras such as a microwave or small refigerator which I had at other comparably priced hotels. I would never recommend this place to anyone, especially if they have any special needs or disabilities. All in all I'm afraid the Pear Tree was laden with too many "pears" with big bruises for my tastes. Mehr

Breakfast was good. Only problem was the pool was closed that night but they made arrangements with the Drury hotel next door so we could still swim. Overall a great experience and will continue to use hotels.com for future stays.

The staff of this hotel is outstanding. They offered to watch our puppy while we were out. The breakfast staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great expereince. We will stay here again.

It is good hotel, clean and close to everything.

While it's owned by the Drury Inn chain, this Pear Tree Inn was very small in scope. My husband, two children and myself stayed in a room with two double beds. Everything was clean, and the beds were very comfortable, but the room, especially the bathroom, was very small. Breakfast the next morning was fine, they kept the coffee filled and hot! One […] other note: This hotel does allow pets... there was a howling dog on our floor. It finally stopped howling right before I was ready to call the front desk! Overall, for a place to crash on a cross country drive, it was fine...as a place to stay multiple nights I'd put out the extra money for the larger Drury Inn. Mehr

For the price we paid for 3 days 2 nights, we were astounded! The room was always clean when we would come back from sight seeing and it wasn't at all far away from all the places we were to see in St. Louis. Plus you even got a complementary breakfast. How much greater can it get. :)

The casino restaurants were very expensive. But the hotel was perfect. It had a great view and we had connecting rooms. I couldn't have aske for a better place.

The hotel staff were nice and helpful, yahoo directions to their location, not so good. Once we found the hotel we got a good nights sleep, comfy beds and good breakfast. Not the newest building but in decent repair and clean. The hotels.com site indicated a hot tub but there was not one and the top bedspread had cigarette burns in it even though the […] hotel said it was a non smoking facility.
