Wir möchten immer ein Zimmer zum Hof haben und nicht eines im angrenzenden Hotelgebäude. Ich habe deshalb schon die teurere Zimmerkategorie gebucht mit 2 Betten. Aber wie letztes Mal 10 Dollar Upgrade gezahlt. Aber dafür super freundlicher Service. Super Preis Leistungsverhälltnis für San Francisco und tolle lage zu Fuß 5-10Minuten zur Fisherman-Warf. Auch parken für 12 Dollar in San Francisco ,es sind es in den meisten anderen Hotels 25-50 Dollar.Jederzeit wieder.

Das Hotel liegt in der Geary St. ein paar Blocks vom Union Square. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im zweiten Stockwerk im Mittelgang, was den großen Vorteil hat, dass man den Straßenlärm nicht mitbekommt, sondern nur den gelegentlichen Lärm den andere Gäste verursachen. Die Zimmer haben nur ein kleines Fenster mit einem wenig schönen Ausblick auf den Innenhof. Das Continental Breakfast besteht aus Kaffee, Toast m. Butter u. Marmelade, O- bzw. Apfelsaft u. einem Stück Obst. Problematisch ist die Parkplatzsituation, da gleich vor der Haustür eine Bushaltestelle ist und ansonsten i.d.R. nur Parkplätze für Kurzparker vorhanden sind. Das Hotel bietet für 30 $ p. Tag einen Valetparkservice an, d.h. es kommt jemand u. parkt das Auto irgendwo, was sehr gut funktioniert hat. Das Hotel liegt zwar in der Nähe des Unionsquare aber auch sehr dicht am Tenderloin Bezirk, den man vor allem Nachts meiden sollte. Insgesamt kann ich das Hotel vom Preis - Leistungsverhältnis weiter empfehlen!

"Great for the cost"
Hotel was good, no issues at all. The area was ok. A few blocks from the BART. No convenience stores close by and no vending machines so get your water n food if you need something after hours. Other than that it was good.
"Pleasant Stay"
San Francisco-Days Inn Downtown/Civic Center Area is a hotel that is clean with good ammendities. The hotel is located just off the city centre and is easily accessible by public transport.

Great location, in Hayes Valley right near Opera House, Symphony, Van Ness Ave., and lots of restaurants in Hayes Valley area. Typical motel room, nothing fancy, but clean and decent for the price. Breakfast only toast and english muffins, oatmeal, coffee and juices, plus some muffins, but better than nothing.

"Free parking and super convenient"
I really enjoyed the Hayes valley neighborhood this days inn was in and found it a steal for the location. I was in the city for a concert at the Herbst Theater and this hotel was walking distance to the theater, BART. The rooms could use some serious updating, they weren't particularly clean and felt stuck in the 80s

Cheap and clean! Within walking distance of the symphony, library, War Memorial and city hall. Did I mention the free off-street parking? An overall great deal!

"Close to MUNI and downtown and FREE PARKING"
One of the things that I always look for when booking a room in SF, is free parking. Some places can charge 40-50 bucks a night to park your car at the hotel-I'd rather spend my money elsewhere. So, the free parking was a big plus for me. Location is super close to downtown, California Street cable car and the ballet and City Hall is right on the corner. We […] had two rooms, and the one that we had was super clean and nice, but the one that our friends had was a little run down. Duct tape on the toilet paper roll holder and just overall kinda dingy. It was like night and day how different the rooms were. If I would have stayed in that room, and not seen ours my review would read alot different. The beds were huge and really comfortable. I found this place after much searching for a quick overnight/ affordable stay before an Intl flight out of SFO. Location was good, besides the few shady areas, but hotel was close to some good restaurants and wine bars within walking distance. The drive to SFO was fast and easy. Arrived at 1:15 PM, Check in not until 2:00 PM, waited in car !! Desk clerk didnt know Symphony Hall was just 1.5 blocks due East of hotel. Room pleasant enuf but rather small, kept bumping into things. Nice to have offstreet parking available in front of hotel. "Right price - Unsafe feeling"
Parking lot was tight. When I went to check in the guy was not very helpful. He mumbled a few words about the document I had to sign and pointed toward my room. Did not feel safe in the room. If you need to be near Civic Center good rm for the money. Small but to be expected for price. Near museums, library etc w/ good eating options nearby.

We had yet another enjoyable stay in our favorite Inn in San Francisco. This lovely little Days Inn reminds us of motels in Europe - nothing fancy, but comfortable and convenient. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We love the surrounding neighborhoods, and we discover new wonderful little shops and restaurants each trip that we make. Our room was next to the "Lift" which was only used a few times early in the evening. Could have been a disaster for sleep but was not! Room was clean and comfortable. Front desk friendly and helpful. Lots of places to eat in the neighborhood. Would go back again.

We stayed at this hotel for one night only because we were attending a gig at the Auditorium. The location of the hotel is great, the lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful and the condition of the room was very good. "Very nice stay"
First time I've stayed here - was only a 10 minute walk to my destination which was great. The room, though on the small side, was very clean and attractively set up. Very roomy bathroom with all the amenities. The microwave was very handy for me. The outside area was clean and well lit, I felt very safe here. The wake call was right on time, check […] in was quick, and other than city noises like an occasional siren, very quiet. I got a great night's rest. The only issue I had was the water took forever to get hot (I was on the third floor), the water pressure was a little low, and the water never really got hot - it did get warm enough to shower, but was a bit disappointing because I love a hot water shower. But I would definitely stay here again. I didn't arrive till a little after 9 pm and there was still available parking on a Monday evening. Mehr

"Quaint European style hotel"
The San Francisco Days Inn/ Civic Center reminds us of the quaint little hotels that we've stayed in when traveling in Europe. The rooms are plain and simple, but quite comfortable. The surrounding neighborhood is delightful, with fun little shops, good local restaurants and a beautiful bar/bistro called The Absinthe right around the corner. 3 blocks from the civic center. room was clean. bed was comfortable. fridge and microwave were nice to have. parking lot is small compared to the number of rooms but we found a spot. no complaints!

It is a good place to stay if you want to visit SF, other hotels in the area can be twice or triple what you will pay in the Days inn, it had tiny bits of mold on the bathrooms and it is not a brand new facility but it does the work nice because it is in a very good location it is close to banks, coffee shops, walgreens, parks, civic center and BART. "Day's Inn Civic Center SF"
We came here for our son's wedding and we're looking for an affordable place to stay. We got a queen room pre paid for a very reasonable rate. Others who booked after us on their own paid twice as much. It is in the Hayes Valley which is a great neighborhood. It is accessible to many means of public transportation. Parking and breakfast are included. The […] only drawback was that they only have enough towels for one per person and when they take them to wash they can't replace them until they have been washed and dried. So if they take them to clean in the morning you can't get replacements until that afternoon. Mehr
"Convenient Location and parking"
I appreciate the parking and free breakfast which I could take back to my room. The only real complaint was the water pressure in the shower which was terrible. The room was clean and the bed was okay. Got a great price on this site. I would consider staying there again.

We stayed there because twas centrally located. We caught bees, trains, ad trolleys as wel as walked to just about everywhere. Room wasn't cleaned twice... Front desk opened late every day... Staff was friendy but relatively incompetent. Stay here if you only use the room to sleep in...

Great location if you're in the City for performances at the War Memorial Opera House or Davies Hall. And parking is included (but arrive early cuz it's limited). There are good restaurants in the immediate area, especially on Hayes Street, so you can avoid the over-priced Van Ness Avenue places.

Room was clean. Hair dryer turned off when dying hair. Fridge was loud so my husband unplugged it.Bed seemed small for a queen size one, it seemed more like a double. It was very loud with the noise from the people above us. It caused us to not sleep well. It seemed like the walls above were very thin to where we heard conversation and walking (sounded […] like stomping) so my husband went up and had to ask them to please try to keep it down. "OK hotel near the center of SF"
The hotel is nothing special. The room for breakfast is really (too) small. But you can get to downtown SF really easy!

We checked-in in the evening and the front desk lady acted as if we were bothering her. She was not at all personable or helpful. There was mold in the overflow drain of the sink. And the bath towels were well worn and stained.

this room smelled like bleach!!!! even with the windows open it was very bad!! For the money, this wasn't a bad hotel. It's in a good location, close to the bus stop and city hall. The staff, specifically the maids, certainly didn't go out of their way to be nice. Also, free parking means you have to check in early because there are only about 12 spaces. "Parking not guaranteed"
There is free parking but you are not guaranteed a spot. and we had to pay for parking at a lot for one evening of our stay. We stayed in a handicap room that had very large bathrooms but the floors were slippery. Otherwise a very convenient location with lots of restaurants in the area.

this hotel is perfect for a few days in SF, near all the sites you want to see. The room is comfortable and clean. You can walk to any where in the city from here and if you have a car there is parking for free at this hotel. I would recommend this hotel when you stay in San Francisco.
