"Very nice visit - even for our dog!"
Nice spacious room; clean and quiet, no bad smells from previous pets. The staff was extremely friendly and my husband was thrilled that a full hot breakfast was included. We have a tiny dog and I was having trouble finding a hotel near Albemarle that accepted pets, but this hotel did and the pet fee didn't break the bank! All in all, a very nice visit. Pool was dirty and slimy. Restaurant NOT open on Sunday. Comfort inn will get my business next time. I stayed here cause they had a heated indoor pool for the kids. Pool smelled nasty and had mold on the side walls. Got there Sunday at 3pm. No restaurant open. Put us on a 2nd floor away from stairs with no elevator. Comfort suites was cheaper and ALOT […] nicer. The service and room was top notch. This is the second location that I used the Holiday in 6-weeks and the whole experience is excellent.

"Holiday Inn- Older than the Hampton Inn nearby"
I asked to be booked in the Hampton Inn and there was a mistake in my office and they put me in the nearby Holiday Inn for 2 nights. I figured I'd give it a try the 1st night. I checked in early (good) and when I got to my room 2nd floor in the back, the AC was on but it was very humid. I thought it would go away, but after I got back from my meeting […] that evening it was the same way. I asked to be moved and the lady at the front desk was extremely nice and accommodating and moved me to another room that wasn't humid. Overall I believe it was just that one room of many that were on property. There were many other guests staying at the hotel based on the number of cars in the parking lot. I was allowed to cancel my 2nd night (as I had also booked it under a separate reservation) and I spent the next night at the Hampton Inn. The breakfast at the Holiday Inn was a meal voucher at a real waitress service buffet restaurant (better). The Hampton Inn had pre-bagged breakfasts that you throw in the microwave (basic), but they did have the make your own fresh waffles which I had. Clientele: Holiday Inn's parking lot had many trucks and work vehicles from out of town guests. Hampton Inn: More regular private vehicles and from the general makeup in the lobby in the morning, more business clientele. I know the Hampton Inn is a little more expensive than the Holiday Inn on the nights that I was in town but the difference between then two was only $11 on the 2nd weeknight. I would have been willing to pay 5x difference for the difference in newness and condition of the rooms. Do yourself a favor and enjoy a newer stay at the Hampton Inn next time you need to be in Salisbury, NC. Mehr
Enjoyed our stay. Salisbury is our hometown and needed to let daughter and grand kids take a walk down memory lane. So we were satisfied. We were upgraded to a suite and the only thing that may have been a downer was the breakfast bar which neede a little refreshing.

Hotel overall condition was average, definate signs of wear. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast buffet was included with room and was average, for price of room thought it could better. Overall stay was good with no complaints, but think the price is too high for the condition of hotel.
