Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel - Flushing

Pros: The Service was ok, a roll-in bed for an additional guest was complimentary even wihtout pre-order. Room was cleaned every day and quite comfortable, nothing to complain. maybe a safe would be good for all stuff like notebooks or money which you don't want to be left in the room. we had to lock those things in the suitcase. the clublounge was […] cool and had normal continental breakfast and another two times some warm like fried chicken or spring rolls in the evening. very good to safe money, as new york dining is expensive. but closed on the weekend which wasn't mentionned before the trip. cons: long distance to manhattan. takes about 40 minutes with local, 25 with express train. the area isn't very nice. like a bigger version of china town, very dirty and crowded, many places with lots of dead animal hanging in the windows.....they are cooked but still whole animals, especially ducks. the staff of the hotel is mostly asian which is no problem but they tread asian guests better than others. we had to get our coffee at the continental buffee, for the chinese visitors it was taken to their table. not very nice. but all in all it was worth the money. Excellent location near the 7 train and a shuttle ride to LaGuardia. Lots of Asian food choice around and they open late. The check-in staff should have warned about the room being for those who need special access (no tub), which meant the water covered half of the bathroom. But overall very pleasant stay.

A especially good hotel if you are asian and need to be around the convenience of finding good asian restuarants. The Hotel is clean but could use some updates. Great parking for your car @ $9.00 a day with anytime in and out convenience for hotel guests. I recommend this hotel if you know how to get around in NYC. The number 7 subway is just around […] the corner and the best way to get to Manhattan from Flushing Queens. Mehr

We enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton. They offered complimentary shuttle service to and from LGA Airport, which was very convenient for us (since we didn't rent a car). The hotel was very clean. The bathtub wasn't draining properly, so we called building maintenance and they came right away to fix it. It wasn't perfect after that, but it was alot better. […] The hotel staff was friendly. Another very convenient thing was that it's so close to the train station. We would just take the train every day. Mehr

The T.V was not hooked up right as the picture and the programs not showing at all. called for service, no respond. The toilet system needed to be fixed as we had to press and hold the knob to flush it down. Called with no response.

It may seem like a not so nice neighborhood, but this is a Gem!!! Excellent service from the front desk to the Bar to the room service. The Angus burger on the menu is amazing, but the Buffalo wings are lame. Tasty, but too expensive and not even a little hot. Overall, this is my new favorite hotel in the NY area. I will stay again absolutely!!!

Quiet, clean and comfortable. Front desk staff switched my original room to accommodate my early arrival--a great convenience.

This hotel is a bit dated. If you are looking for a hotel with a clean bed and a shower then it is o.k. The location isnt that great. It reminds you of China Town near Brooklyn. The overall condition of the hotel needs renovated.

Flushing is THE place to have good Chinese food. So if you want to stay close to that, then Sheraton is the choice. The overall experience is good but we ran into an accident caused on the hotel. My friend reported incidents where we found bits on our feet (it is not likely caused by the hotel, we later concluded), and the hotel sent people to investigate […] the bed in her room. But after that, they didn't put the bed back correctly, resulting in one iron bar sticking out. Her child fell over it, got hurt on the leg. The people who came up after we called was really not that helpful either. Not appologetic to say the least. He said he would put the report together and let them know the result. We stayed in this hotel for one night and its an excellent one. Great location - right on the Flushing's Chinese district in Queens. Would go again, highly recommend this hotel!

This was our second time staying at this hotel and will not be our last. The employees are very proffesional and pleasant. Very convenient if traveling from LaGuardia airport and if driving the Parking cost is very reasonable. The first time we stayed in the hotel the room was wonderful, this time I was a bit dissapointed with the quality of the furniture. […] The room was clean but the furniture was very worn out with lots of visible scratches. Absolutely loved this hotel! We stayed for 3 nights and it was our anniversary and also enjoyed some sports games. Conveniently located by the subway right in Chinatown. Great atmosphere and 10 minute walk to Citi field. About 30-35 minute ride to Times Square but well worth it than driving. Hotel staff was great and friendly and we plan on always staying […] here!! We were so impressed with this hotel. The service was exceptional. The bell hop, the receptionist, the waiter at the restaurant, and the shuttle driver were all absolutely top notch. I rarely, if ever, write reviews but I was so impressed with the Sheraton LaGuardia East I had to make an exception.

The hotel was nice, the only thing I didn't like was they was doing construction one floor up o next door from me but by 7am the noise was so loud that it sounded right inside of my room, I just wished they had told me this ahead of time but other than that everybody was so nice and helpful

The hotel itself was actually good, but consider the area carefully. while it's billed as LaGuardia East, it is in an area which felt unsafe at best and was past the airport.

Comfortable, pleasant and efficient service, clean, good service and food at restaurant, comfortable beds, quiet rooms despite the fact that it's in a busy neighborhood with heavy traffic and close to La Guardia. Perfectly quiet. Convenient transportation into Manhattan. We will recommend it and will consider again on our next visit.

I recently stayed at the Sheraton Laguardia East and it was fine except the tub did not drain properly and practically flooded the bathroom. No bedbugs which is a first for a NYC hotel. Probably a bit overpriced but safe and clean which is most important. Underground parking was convenient too.

This hotel is conveniently located in the Chinatown section of Queens,NY. It is steps away from the subway that takes you to Times Square. There are many fabulous and inexpensive Asian restaurants, coffee shops, and stores located a short walk from the hotel. The hotel itself is very beautifully appointed and the staff are all wonderful and helpful. […] It had an Asian decor which was truly gorgeous. There is lots of activity and people around day and night. I really enjoyed staying at this hotel and definitely would stay there again! Mehr

For a hotel near an airport, the Shearton was very comfortable. Room service was great. It was quick, food was delivered hot, and it was very tasty. The 4:30 AM suttle to the airport left on time and got to the airport quickly. I was able to make my 6 AM flight.

This is a normal Sheraton Hotel. Nothing spectacular to rave about. Service was fine except for having to call a few times to have a light bulb replaced and had to call to get housekeeping. Other than trivial things like that, I stayed on the Club floor and had a decent room. The lounge was smaller but had the normal amenities you would expect. The description didn't really tell us much about the location. Not that I have a problem with the Asian community but the hotel was located in one, so there was a language barrier. No one could really understand us when we asked questions. Also the people working in the parking garage weren't so friendly. Each time we came down to get our car or return […] it they were a little rude. Mehr

We stayed there because of the proximity to LaGuardia but it turned out to be a wonderful find. It was in a lively and safe neighborhood... just perfect. Very clean.

I had stayed here a few years ago and it was decent, but it was nice to return to an obviously renovated and very nice room. Definitely up to Sheraton standards. Also it is nice to see that Starwood is finally following the lead of all the other hotel brands and providing complimentary internet service. That was a long time in coming! Hotel and staff were nice, but the location was not. We were close to the metro, but it did take 40 minutes to get into Times Square...

We stayed here during the US Open. The hotel is in a great spot, and our room was very clean. But the hotel facilities were not. We used the business center to print boarding passes; it was a mess. We used the restrooms on the ballroom level; they were trashed. The lobby was always dirty (trash lying around, dirt tracked in, empty beverages left on […] the coffee tables). Not what we expect from a Sheraton. If you're looking for a clean room and good location, this hotel would be fine. The neighborhood has great Asian cuisine and the hotel is less than a block from the metro. Mehr

Stayed for just one night. The hotel had an Asian theme which looked nice. But the rooms were nothing special to me. I've seen much better. And there's not much to do around the hotel, thank God the city is not too far away.

when i arrive in a hotel i got my key ,i go to my room and when i came back from dinner ,i can no open my room ,the employe on a front desk ,have to call securite for open my room i have to wait 1hour ,before he check my id and my credit card very embarassed and my rom was pay before i get in a hotel ,very ineducate people ,low class very bad

Every employee of the hotel was very helpful and courteous.

This is a very nice hotel right near flushing meadow and only one stop on the subway from CitiField (where the mets play). The rooms were large and very comfortable and well-maintained. The area around the hotel is NY's second largest chinatown. For visiting Manhattan every day I probably wouldn't stay here since it is a thirty minute subway ride into […] the city and on the weekends no express train (there is one during the week, but I think only into the cty in the mornings and out at night). If you don't mind the distance then it is a better deal, spacewise than manhattan hotels. Otherwise great staff and nice, fast room service. Mehr

We stayed at the Sheraton LaGuardia East for a nearby wedding and expected the normal Sheraton quality. However, the service was substandard, they only had (1) person at the desk and it took a long time to check in or have parking taken care of. The restaurant serving breakfast was horrible, incredibly slow service, the beverages were possibly the worst […] and most watered down drinks we've ever had, and the quality of the food was poor. Also you could hear talking and other loud noises from all the adjacent rooms. Overall we would not stay there again. Mehr

If you need to stay in Queens, then I would recommend this hotel. It's unbelievably quiet and well kept. It's close to bus lines and subway if you need those to get into the city. The #7 subway line is one ride all the way to Times Square so it is fairly easy to do. The neighborhood is a bit of a culture shock but seems safe enough in the day time. […] The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. I would stay here again if I need to go back to this area. Mehr
