I've stayed at this Hotel/Casino many times over the last 5-6 years, and the service level I've received has always been excellent.

The Hotel is very convenience and clean. Has a very train staff my over all experience I can rated 4 Stars. They can earn the other star once they develop a complementary business center to facilitate one to one business meeting.

Even I got a confirmation whith Hotels.com They gave me the leftovers not the thing I paid for.

Great service. Great location. Restful atmosphere. We stayed in the two story building behind the main tower. It's older and needs some updating, but the room was very clean and of good size. Can't beat the price which included a more than adequate breakfast attended by an excellent friendly staff.

The Jaragua is a good hotel. it is safe and located close to many points of interest like the malecon and the shopping area "El Conde". Ive stayed there a few times so I'm familiar with the accomodations. I found the staff at the Jaragua to be friendly, helpful and well spoken. The rooms ive stayed in were very well sized and the beds were huge and […] comfortable. in fact the beds were my favorite part of the experience (something about those pillows.) although the experience did not exceed my expectations, i had a pleasant time. There is a nice casino in the lobby beside an unreasonably expensive "sports bar" named Champions. breakfast for my girlfriend and me cost something like $45US (outside of the hotel at a nice eatery a similar breakfast cost a lot less, about $12US). They Gym is decent with pretty nice modern and functioning cardio machines. the hotel gets very busy especially when there are guests sponsoring events in the auditoriums. its a very popular meeting place. the tower rooms seem a bit better than the garden rooms but the less expensive garden rooms aren't so bad. the worst part of my stay was that when i arrived at my room and opened the window, there was a very unattractive view of a rooftop and not much else. i could not see the ocean, the palm trees nor the surrounding grounds. i would definately ask for a room with a view if that is importanrt to you. This hotel is a good hotel overall. It's far from the beach but taxi drivers will hook you up no problem. Some of the service is kind of slow and the beds were kind of hard but everything else was good.

Nice place to stay, although paying for an upgrade to stay in the main tower was a little off-putting. They have an outside building where they keep the standard rooms. Rooms in the main tower are suites, not standard rooms. They had a great bar in hotel called Champions..servers were friendly and quick, American football was on the big screen TV. The […] casino was a little small, but live music was very entertaining. The king bed was big and comfortable, almost wanted to stay in it all day.. The buffet breakfast was decent. A guy cooks omelet eggs any way you like. Almost got charged for two days of WiFi so check your room bill before check-out. All in all not a bad experience. I'd probably stay there again. Mehr

The hotel was wonderful to stay in but very generic. We stayed in the garden room. The ceiling in the bathroom might need a little fixing but overall, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was big and it was clean. While it does […] not get as packed as in the US, the minimum bets are much lower and you can play much longer. Plus most of the dealers and patrons are very nice. While it is not close to the beach, the taxis in front of the main entrance of the hotel are extremely expensive, they take only US dollars. Walking where the shops are (El Conde) and the colonial city is not as far as the hotel tells you. If you are in the mood to walk, it is a beautiful walk, maybe 25-30 minutes tops. The mini bar and the restaurant in the hotel are also quite expensive, but if you want to enjoy Santo Domingo, just walk around and you will find a beautiful and good place to eat. Mehr

The jaragua is a great hotel in that it is classy and comfortable. I visited the bar, the casino the restaurant and the paring area and felt both safe and secure. I've stayed in the garden rooms as well and found them to be well kept. The downside is that they are very far from the front seaside area of the hotel with no remarkable view of anything. Its a good business Hotel, a little old but well maintained, for business is a good choise

This hotel was a lot more than what I was expecting. people there was well-educated and nice. I strongly recommend this hotel.

Very nice, I stayed in the garden view side and it was just perfect because I could park my car in the back with out having to pay valet. Staff was very friendly, beds super comfortable and breakfast buffet was very good, its worth the prepay of the breakfast...you will save a lot!!!Will stay there again!

I'm not particularly fussy about Hotels. The Hotel felt old. The mirrors in the lobby and the gauged wood and metal in the elevators helped to maintain that feeling.

If I can say anything about this hotel, it is that the staff is AMAZING and very accomodating. I travelled with an infant, and one day it happened to be raining. I was walking from a nearby restaurant. As soon as I entered the property, at least two staff people came by my side with umbrellas to cover my child from the light drizzle. They accompanied […] me to a covered area and then went back to their job. The people at the front desk were very pleasant and the chambermaids were very nice. The rooms are very spacious, despite the fact that we were in the graden area, which is a good 3 minute walk from the front desk. I would definitely stay there again. My only complaint was that I was only there for 2 days!! Mehr

The hotel on the outside is gorgeous and the amenities such as pool, casino, restaurants etc are great. i booked a garden view room and found it to be a little dissapointing. The room had an intense smell of paint and the ath tub would flood with water whenever you showered. The phone in the room did not recieve or allow you to make calls. Great stay, excellent staff and great rooms and great rooms. You will be 100% satisfied. I have stayed at the Renassiance many times and have never been disppointed.

Hotel was good but no pool available, the one in the next hotel was available for our use.Should have been told before booking. Taxes too high on food and service charge even when i order and picked food up myself. Hotel was nice and clean. i had a half and half stay...

Clean rooms, good price, great location... The hotel was very nice. The concierge was very helpful. The casino was in the hotel and was fun. If this is a leisure trip, beware - there is not a lot to do in Santo Domingo Old city. It was our first time there and it was a shock.

The service is one of the best....by the second day i moved to the presidential suite oh my god!is beautiful,,,by the time they finish everything is going to be the best in Santo Domingo-DR They finished the gym,they doing the pool and casino ,I heard that the renovation is going to cost $60 million dollars! LOVE THE JARAGUA!

Stayed 3 days once more this past week and like all my previous stays, nothing really to complain about except for the wireless internet signal in the room is very low. Best value for the money since I got a deal from Hotels.com "stay 3 nights and get the 3rd night free"

The hotel is one of the best in the area. the location is very good. Close to all the local spots. Cab service is good. Very safe but security would not allow vistors, which was the only bad downfall if your there alone. Casino was also a good spot. Overall I'll do it again

Hotel described the room as garden view. A better name would be parking lot view. Further, the Hotel eliminated the option of self parking. Thus, charging for valet service for each day. This was the last time I will use Renaissance Jaragua. Eventhough I travel to Santo Domingo five times a year.

nuestra estadia en el hotel fue excelente. todos sus empleados fueron muy amables y serviciales. Dandry en el front desk fue de gran ayuda y en el sports bar durante el desayuno enfatizando en el joven que confeccionaba los revoltillos. nustras felicitaciones y hasta pronto!!!

Me vendieron el hotel con sus fotos, y después la habitación estaba fuera del edificio, en una construcción cercana de planta baja.

100% recomendable, sin comentarios, todo muy bueno, felicitaciones.

Muy buen hotel. Las habitaciones bastante comodas y limpias. La atencion del personal del hotel es muy agradable. Volveriamos a hospedarnos.
