Grand Hôtel de l'Opéra - Toulouse

What a Hotel! The night we arrived, we had the misfortune to arrive during a political rally for the French elections and a Bomb scare in town. When we eventually arrived at the hotel after walking for miles as our car was turned away, the staff could not do more for us and did everything possible to make up for something that was not even their fault: […] The restaurant even stayed open late to feed us. The next morning, due to more political stuff in town, the bellboy came with me to the car park to navigate me back to the hotel, a trip of over an hour and even then a coffee was waiting when we got back. The room was great location was great but the bathroom had a bit of a funk, i believe it came from the bowl cleaner but i didnt want to check and we were only there for a night.

The hotel is very well presented and the staff are absolutely lovely and friendly plus very helpful, keep up the high standards! The room we were given was one of the basement level rooms which was a little noisy as the window was near the restaurant and entrance walkway. We asked to move rooms and without hesitation the receptionist showed us another […] room so that we were satisfied. First Class service! Mehr

A lovely hotel, really well placed for seeing all the main attractions in Toulouse.

We stayed at the Grand Hotel de l'Opera our last night in France based on the other reviews. What a lovely place and a perfect location. We were given spacious room 266 which is located on the backside of the hotel with no view at all. Still the room is quiet nice, however, it is located at the top of a spiral staircase and there was no lift. The bellhop […] certainly earned his tip going up and down. All the staff were friendly. Everything we wanted to see in a short period was within easy walking distance. Internet service was reliable without interruptions. Restaurants abound and we would definitely stay here again. Mehr

One downside air conditioning did not work in bedroom,major fault in their system

The location could not have be more perfect - one step on to the beautiful Capitole Square. The hotel has a lovely grandeur yet the staff are very friendly. Super stay.

Close to everything, easy walking around, good neighborhood even though it is a huge tourist area. The rooms we had were clean & large (for rooms in Europe). They were also air conditioned which was great b/c they were having an exceptional heat wave when we were there & they were quiet. The staff was pleasant & helpful in whatever we needed.

il s'agit d'un bel hotel. Le personnel est peu sympatique mais présent. Le gros point négatif est l'accès à l'hotel en voiture totalement impossible compte tenu du nombre incalculable de sens-interdit qui ponctuent le trajet. Nous avons mis une heure pour parvenir jusqu'à la porte de l'hotel!

Personnel très prévenant sans obséquiosité. Un petit bémol vite réparé, oubli de faire la chambre 8

Chambre très agréable et calme. Salle de bain un peu décevante (petite et eau chaude longue à venir). Personnel charmant et très efficace. Petit déjeuner en buffet parfait et copieux. Emplacement central, idéal pour profiter du centre ville à pied. Une belle adresse.

Hôtel bien situé, personnel attentionné et accueil très agréable. Accès inernet wifi gratuit. Chambre confortable et calme, propreté impeccable. Seul point négatif, la décoration un peu surfaite et veillotte dans le hall d’entrée.

Voyageant entre Albi et Biarritz, nous avons passé une nuit dans cet excellent établissement, qui à notre avis, pourrait être classé ****L, voire Palace. Cet hôtel quasiment historique est idéalement situé sur la place du Capitole. Le service et l'accueil sont parfaits sans obséquiosité, contrairement à d'autre maison de même classe. La chambre, où […] nous n'avons passé qu'une seule nuit, était parfaitement équipée et meublée et d'une surface de 50m² minimum. Quant au lit (2 m x 2 m), c'était une merveille de confort. Le bar anglais est sympathique et le prix des consommations sont tout à fait raisonnables. Nous n'avons pas pu aller au restaurant car celui-ci était fermé ce dimanche soir, mais la brasserie de l'Opéra, faisant partie de l'hôtel, était ouverte et accueillante. Lorsque nous reviendrons à Toulouse, nous reviendrons certainement au Grand Hôtel de l'Opéra. Ce que j'ai particulièrement aimé : La situation géographique en plein centre de Toulouse, le service voiturier, la qualité de l'accueil de tout le personnel. Mehr

We have stayed at this one and at crowne plaza just nextdoors - this is definately the better one. You cannot help liking the old french style with red walls and nice furniture. Service was excellent, no complaints.

Koselig hotell og serviceinnstilt personale. Stille og fint. Og med flotte Place du Capitole rett utenfor porten til hotellet, og gangavstand til hele sentrum.

Le choix s'était porté sur cet hôtel notamment pour un accès au Spa qui s'est avéré... délicat. Le sauna et hammam sont mis en route à la demande avec parfois des oublis. Très bon séjour par ailleurs dans un superbe hôtel.

La proximité du Capitole de Toulouse est incomparable. Excellente quamlité de l'accueil et dees services.

nous aurions trouvé la chambre un peu petite si nous y étions restés longtemps, sinon, rien à dire, c'était vraiment très bien. Accueil vraiment très sympathique, serviable et en anglais parfait, appréciable. et même si nous n'en aurions pas fait une grande consommation, nous avons un peu regretté la tv non cablée, pas de films ou programmes autre qu'en […] français (anglophones tous les deux, et mon mari absolument non francophone) attention pour mobilité réduite, hotel charmant, style ancien magnifique, mais petites marches partout extremely nice and charming old style hotel very nice and helpful people at the desk, perfectly bilingual in English rooms a bit small for long stays, but incredibly welcoming no cable tv, programs and movies only in French small steps all around the hotel Mehr

situation exceptionnelle sur toulouse pour un touriste lambda , acces tres facile , et grande classe du service hotelier à la française ; , batiment grandiose , chambre unique ( bois accajou literie etc...) bar intime et 2 restaurants pour tous les gouts

L'hotel è antico e sicuramente lussuoso, ma il pavimento in legno antico, se pur bellissimo, ha il difetto di essere rumorosissimo quando ci si cammina sopra ( anche se coperto dalla moquette... ). Se si ha la sfortuna di avere nella camera di sopra un ospite che cammina tutta la notte, si è probabilmente […] costretti a non dormire... La reception è stata gentilissima e ci hanno cambiato la stanza dandocene una superiore allo stesso prezzo, ma il problema resta... Mehr

Hotellet er veldig sentrumsnært og sånn sett et flott utgangspunkt, men standarder en dessverre for dårlig for 2010. Internett fungerte ikke (noe jeg var avgengig av den dagen og som medførte mye ekstra tid og kostnader), minibaren var varm og det er vegg til vegg tepper overalt. Liten og trang heis og inngangsdør. Personalet var servicevennlig og […] hjalp oss med å laste opp bagasjen i bilen da vi måtte dra. Interiøret er kult og gjennomført, men teknologien og standarden er ikke holdbar for gjester à 2010 som ønsker å bo på et 4-stjerners hotell. Terribel day. Terrible lack of information service. Condemnable service.

Cadre merveilleux, personnel prévenant. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Nous avons toutefois été déçu par le petit déjeuner. Le rapport qualité prix n'y est pas du tout. Nous avons eu le choix entre du pain moisi (énorme tâche verte signalée à la serveuse sans que cela ne suscite la moindre gêne de sa part) et pain rassi... les fruits étaient […] également passés (nous avons tout testé : poires, bananes...) Ca ne devrait pourtant pas être si difficile d'avoir du pain et des fruits frais dans un quartier aussi centre. Mehr
