"Urlaubsfeeling total"
Sehr nettes kleines Hotel direkt an einem kleinen Hafen. Perfekt zum Entspannen. Für einen Kurztrip bestens geeignet. Viele Lokale in der Nähe.
"Eine Perle, leider sehr unsauber"
Lage sehr gut, Pool sehr schön, Sauberkeit sehr schlecht. In unserem Zimmer haben wir hinter dem WC 2 Q-Tipps (benutzte) gefunden. Auch waren die Zimmer vorn zur Straße sehr laut, unser Fenster war kaputt und ging nicht zu. Wurde auch nach unserer Reklamation nicht repariert.
"Nettes Hotel am Yachthafen"
Die Zimmer sind einfach und zweckmäßig eingerichtet, allerdings absolut sauber. Die Lage am Yachthafen bietet einen traumhaften Ausblick, vorallem bei Sonnenuntergang. Positiv zu erwähnen ist ,dass im Zimmerpreis ein Continentalfrühstück enthalten ist, dass während unseres Aufenthaltes mit Cornflakes, Waffeln ,Toast und Apfel-Zimt-Kuchen und natürlich […] Kaffee, Milch und O-Saft satt eine erstaunliche Abwechslung bot. Auch der große Pool ist nett. Das Hotel ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für alle, die gerne Schnorcheln, Tauchen oder sich bei einer rasanten Bootsfahrt den Wind um die Nase wehen lassen wollen. All diese Trips können direkt im Hotel gebucht werden. Die Anmietung eines Standardzimmers empfiehlt sich nur für 1-3 Tage. Wer länger bleiben möchte, sollte eine Suite anmieten oder nach einer anderen Unterkunft suchen. Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt ist das Hotel vorallem durch seine Lage und dem Spitzen-Preisleistungsverhältnis durchaus empfehlenswert. Mehr

"Für eine Nacht auf der Durchreise gerne wieder"
...viel mehr aber nicht. Liegt weniger am Hotel, sondern viel mehr an der Umgebung. Nur ein Mini-Strand auf der gesamten Insel, der öffentlich und kostenlos zugänglich ist.
"Ideal für 1-2 Übernachtungen"
ob das Hotel weiter zu empfehlen ist, kommt ganz darauf an, was man sucht. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt sicherlich nicht die schönste Variante aber als 1-2 tägigen Kurzaufenthalt durchaus zu empfehlen. schöner Pool, Bar/Restaurant direkte angrenzend. Schön am Kanal gelegen. Nur ca. 5 Min. vom John Pennecamp Coral Reef State Park entfernt. Die Zimmer […] sind schon sehr verlebt und bräuchten eine Renovierung. Empfang sehr unfreundlich und machte auf uns einen sehr genervten Eindruck. Für einen Kurzaufenthalt, alleine schon preislich gesehen, sehr zu empfehlen. Mehr
"Gutes Hotel an Superlage"
Gutes Mittelklasse-Hotel an perfekter Lage. Das Hotel liegt im Zentrum von Key Largo, direkt an einem kleinen Hafen wo die meisten Tagesausflugs-Boote (Schnorcheln, Tauchen, Segeln, Fischen) starten. Die Zimmer sind geräumig & sauber. Parkplatz sowie Frühstück sind kostenlos. Das Frühstück ist nicht riesig, typisch amerikanisch eben (Kaffee, Saft, Toast, […] Müesli). Die Leute an der Reception sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Gleich neben dem Hotel befinden sich die Tiki Bar Coconuts sowie das Restaurant Sharkys, welche beide für Drinks bzw. Essen zu empfehlen sind. Viele Locals sind auch dort, welche hilfreiche Tipps zu Tagesausflügen geben können. Alles in allem: prima Hotel für einige Tage in den Keys. Mehr

Fitness facilities are on-site and functioning, but the room is dirty plus the equipment is beat-up and dated.

When we got there the Jacuzzi was out of order and there were live red ants floating in the pool. Other than those two items, everything else was great.

"Bed bugs, bad breakfast and busted shower"
This is a tired, run down place. The "continental breakfast" was a joke. All breads, no proteins. The room was truly awful. The floor was dirty (made my white socks black). An oil spill (tanning cream?) on the only chair in the room transferred to any item placed there. What a mess. The shower head did not work properly causing dribbling water to flood […] the floor. Worst of all was the bed bug problem-- not discovered until the morning (I had bites and the sheets had spots of fresh blood-- mine! I complained to the front desk staff who took the problem seriously and sent maintenance up to the room. They inspected the beds carefully and found one dead and one live bug. When they moved the beds and tipped them on their side, it was clear the room had not been thoroughly cleaned, perhaps in years. The hotel refunded my money. All this is true. I wonder if this honest review will be posted. Mehr

Good service good price
Room was clean but felt dated. No view. Only windows had to be louvered closed due to privacy. Felt closed in. Bathroom small with old jetted tub. Teeny insects on bathroom sink area. Breakfast ok. Tables outside on canal with pleasant view. Hard to find. Would not stay again. Would find property on water with beach to relax on. This was tucked deeply […] away and had no feel of being on Keys. Loved it. Can't wait to go back. great music in the Coconut bar. Beautiful big swimming pool
The room was a little run down (power outlet didn't work, toilet needed upgrade), but pool is very nice, the marina is right next door, and the neighboring Cocunut restaurant/bar is about 100' away. Easy to get to Pennekamp State Park.

"Marina del mar- nice marina view from room"
We stayed here for 4 nights the first week of April 2012. Our kitchen suite was large and a good value for the price. The view of the marina was very nice from our second floor common area deck, neat to see different boats come and go. Beds were Murphy beds (both pulled down from the wall) and were just ok, not bad but not super comfy either. Pool is […] very lovely and located near a restaurant/bar; although they do not serve to the pool area directly, you can take your food and drinks to the pool area from the restaurant to eat. Overall a nice place if you are staying in key largo. Oh and FYI, there were NO pots, pans or cooking utensils in the kitchen suite. We had to go to a Kmart to get what was needed to fully access the kitchen, which was very disappointing. Mehr

"Good Experience"
My wife and I spent two nights at Marina del Mar on March 18 &19, 2012. The location was good, and the facility was above average with comfortable beds, a good pool and good breakfast. Two double beds were in the room which gave limited access to one side of either bed and two of the 5 closet spaces but we didn't need 5 closets and access to both sides […] of both beds. For the money, this is an excellent place to stay. However, Coconuts Restaurant was not the quality of food for the price. Despite that we would come back.

Friendly, fun locations, close to dive boats, on marina, great atmosphere, very nice restaurant Sharkey's near hotel. Nothing fancy, but very good bargain and just what you need if you are going to key west to dive, snorkel or fish.

"Beautiful Scenic Stay"
As we had decided to stay an extra night in the Keys before heading north again, we stumbled on this gem. Tucked away in the scenic Marina, the hotel was charming and convenient. The only time we left the area was to take the tour to the coral reefs on the glass bottomed boat located in the Marina. I had wanted, as part of my journey to the Keys, to […] find and photograph the "African Queen". Surprise for me, it too was docked in the very same Marina. The restaurant on the property was not only fun but served delicious food. I wish I could have stayed longer, but almost certainly will return on my next trip to the Keys. Mehr
"Marina Del Mar"
This was our first stay since our honeymoon in 1988. The place was still fun, the continental breakfast was decent. The rooms are about the same, but not a bad place to stay.

The hotel very nice and the rooms were cozy. Nice musical entertainment from the restaurant next door. We stayed on the top floor. Outdoor seats are provided outside your door. Very peaceful.

"Hotel right on a marina"
Beautiful location but was woken up first night at 12.30 a.m. by the hotel's laundry van delivery sheets. It had a loud screeching lift which kept us awake for about 20 minutes. Could not get back to sleep for hours. Complained to reception who said their manager was not in for another 5 days. They also said the laundry van always came at that time […] to avoid conjestion on the roads. No apology from them. Complained to Holiday Inn manager who was overseeing this hotel who was very apologetic and refunded that nights fee. Other than that, hotel is nice, has a nice pool and is right next to a good restaurant. I would stay again. Mehr

"Dump"
The hotel is a dump. The rooms were old and dingy and WAY too expensive. The beds pulled out of the wall and were not very comfortable. The bathroom leaked through the ceiling and smelled of smoke. The continental breakfast was terrible, hardly any choices. The only good thing was the location.

Comfortable, clean rooms, close to everything and very pet friendly. Two restaurant/bars in walking distance, which also allow pets
we stayed in a number of hotels/motels in florida this was the only poor one. It was not as it looked on line. We only stayed one night and the room we were given was at the back, the room was average size but generally dark and dingy. The centre fan/light didn't work, the fridge surround was dirty and there were 'biddies' crawling around the sink area, […] which however many we squashed more arrived. The furniture was knocked and tatty and the pool area although large was very tired looking and needed some TLC as did the entire complex. For the cost of staying at this hotel we were right to expect more!! The location is central however I think the Marriott or Holiday Inn that are close by would be a better option. Mehr

Stayed at Marina del Mar while we went scuba diving @ John Pennekamp state park. Hotel very close, clean, nice pool, good breakfast. Very satisfied with hotel for price we paid.
"Marina Del Mar is not a Resort hotel"
This is your average 2.7 star hotel. The room was quite small, it appears that the door may have been kicked in once, the vending machine did not work and the free breakfast was pathetic. There are restaurant/bars on either end of the hotel which are probably loud during tourist season. Parking is very limited so IF you find a space you probably need […] to stay put. We did sleep OK so that is why the rating is so high. I would not stay at this hotel again. Mehr

Very friendly staff, hanles requests quickly, small room, but nicely laid out and appointed, close to restaurants, located on a popular harbor, walking distance to dive/snorkle boats

"Beautiful Pool area"
Pool is very nice and private. Conveniently located near the the cafe. Has small hot tub and outside showers to rinse off.

This motel was close to several restaurants with a view of the gulf. The motel itself had an inlet view of the water and an adjacent bar/restaurant with entertainment and a view of the inlet. The office people could have been more friendly, but they provided what was required to show us to the room and provide the key. A smile would have been nice and […] a little conversation. Not needed, but as nicety. Nice place to stay on our way to Key West. Mehr
