Ramada Hotel & Suites Metrotown - Vancouver

Wir waren anfangs anhand anderer Hotelbewertungen skeptisch - dann aber sehr positiv überrascht. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis wirklich super. Zum SkyTrain zwar eine Ecke zu laufen, aber problemlos machbar und man ist trotz der etwas vom Zentrum entfernten Lage ruck zuck in der City - schneller als mit dem Auto! Insgesamt top!

My experience of staying at the hotel was positive. The room I got on the 3rd floor was clean and quiet. I was happy that the hotel has a computer work station with internet connection on the ground floor for customer use for 30 or more minutes, if no one was waiting, allowing me to share or transfer pictures with a friend. Regarding the breakfast coupons, […] initially I did not get breakfast coupons when I checked in; however, the next morning I talked to the hotel manager telling him that my booking on the hotels.com showed that the breakfast was included in the price; although there was some confusion between the hotels.com and the hotel itself, the hotel manager said that he will give me the benefits of the doubts and gave me the breakfast coupons. As a result, this hotel with competitive price and services is worth a positive rating. Mehr

Overall ok. I thought that a continental breakfast was included... but I must have been mistaken..... disappointing! The hotel was showing its age.

Great, service was great hotel itself somewhat dated.

This place is kind of dive-y. Very small and the shower curtain had holes in it. Whole bathroom got wet as a result. The roof was peeling as well and didn't seem very well kept up. Overall the room was decent.. Not really a place to stay if you're going to be spending a lot of time in your room.

I bought room with breakfast and they told me that there was a mistake and they didn't wanted to give me breakfast, the gym is horrible; everything is broken, I think that there should be much better places for the same or just a little more money.

The bed and linens were great, very comfortable sleep. I would stay again for a single night, but I don't think I could settle in for a longer stay. The walls are a bit thin; I woke up as soon as someone else started their shower. It was a fine stay for the price.

We will stay here in the future

I was very happy with the house keeping staff-very friendly & helpful. I was not happy with the help or response i got when i reported i had my van vandalized in your parking lot over night but the drunks that probably flow out of the bar! there should be more security at this time!!!!! the quote i got was no less than 300.00 from my insurance/dealership-I […] am a mother of 4 and do not have this kind of money to spend on an issue your company needs to deal with!!!!! The hotel hallways need to be upgraded. The rooms are older but the bed was comfortable and it was clean.

This hotel was alright, nothing spectaculer, you can definately say you got what you paid for.

it was clean, quiet, close and comfortable. i had some trouble with the temperature of the shower but was fine 2nd day. Service was prompt friendly and very helpful. i would recommend this hotel to my friends and will use it again.

First, the front office staff was pain in the a**. They were the most horrible staff I have EVER seen. Not only they were RUDE they even didnt bother to greet anyone (leave apart me). Even other guests shared the same point of view. I would definitely not recommend this hotel, even if they are cheap. It's the second time that I've stayed at this hotel. The outward appearance of the hotel is unattractive, and the location is not central if you want to visit downtown Vancouver (the location was perfect for my needs though). However .... (!) - all the rest is great value for money - clean room, comfortable bed, good shower with instant hot water with […] average but maintained amenities (TV, heating, free local calls, wireless internet ). I used the coin-operated laundry facility and parking and all went great. Last but not least, the staff was very friendly and helpful at the same time. Summary - another hotel downtown or near Metrotown costs double or triple the price, but doesn't give double or triple the value. Mehr

There's no better deal in Burnaby - central, close to transit, great food in restaurant and pub and quiet, comfortable rooms.

Its far from downtown. The neighborhood is ok. There is a bar behind the hotel where you have your parking lot. If you are with your family\kids you might want to let them go upstairs before you park your car. There is a safeway right across the street from this hotel which is good.

Needs major maintence around the hotel in rooms and windows. Balcony filled with bird poop sketchy neighborhood. carpet comming up in room bathroom wallpaper comming down.smells like smoke asked for non smoking room. upgraded to king bed online same price as queen but I guess thats what u pay for. I don't know If we got the older side if the hotel […] because the other side was deffinetly better windows and renovated hallways I think i ts cause we booked online not through the hotel they saw we booked through another company and downgraded us to the old run down side Mehr

We stayed at this Ramada on the Cnd. Thanksgiving Day long weekend and our stay was most pleasant. The room were clean, fairly quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Really everything was as it should be for a budget hotel. Except. The restaurant. On the weekdays the kitchen was closed so there was no warm food other than toast, when the kitchen did […] open, for the weekend, the food was awful and the prices were high considering the quality of the food. Nothing is good about this hotel, i made a mistake. too old building, nothing is being maintained well, smelly inside, weired parking lot an dno easy way to come inside of the hotel. Too noisy and not very friendly staff.

Good hotel for the price range. Close to the Sky Train and fairly close to the downtown area. The surrounding area of the hotel was not the best in terms of the people hanging around on the street but it was not too bad.

The hotel was not exactly as described in the write up, it said poolside bar -- unfortunately not accessible from the pool, pool area was not kept cleaned up, towels laying around and the pool itself was getting quite cloudy by the end of our stay which led us to believe it wasn't being cleaned. Our stay in vancouver was very short (2 days) and we were hardly in the room. This hotel is located close to many event centers and is the main reason for our choice to stay there. The hotel staff was professional and accommodating, but the room was a bit below average. Outdated and a little noisy from the street traffic.

Ceiling in bathroom was peeling. No other complaints.

Good location. Close to lots of restaurants, PNE, and Central Park.n The pool was super cold (not heated like they said). The air conditioner didn't work and we were roasting hot during the night.

This was all around an excellent place to stay. We're a family of 4 with two young children and stayed in the queen/hide-a-bed kitchen suite. The weather didn't cooperate so we didn't use the pool but we felt it and it would have been great! The 'kitchenette' is a bit overstated as all you get is the standard 2 cup coffee maker, a mini fridge and a […] microwave. Plus a sink and a little counter space. There was a serious lack of dishes and utensils - 2 bowls, 2 plates and a mismatched amount of forks/knives/spoons. Luckily we packed paper plates and napkins. Right across the street is a liquor store and a Safeway, so we saved lots of money on restaurant bills by bringing and buying food for everyone to eat in the hotel room. There is a door that separates the bedroom from the living room/ kitchen so it gives lots of privacy. Mehr

The room on the road side are not really quite. I actually booked a room from the other side but when I checked in I was surprised that the room wasn’t ready. The front desk gave me a room that is noisy but in the next day I moved to suite become the room I book initially still not ready. So they make it up for me and provided a suite for free.

As a female staying alone, I found the access at night from the back parking lot very unsafe. The Pub exits into the back parking lot.also when going from your car to the hotel you access the walk way to the doorr blindly. At least a mirror should be put up so that you can tell if if anyone is in the walkway before you enter.

Double sized bed were more like single.. very uncomfortable for the 4 of us staying in the room. temperature setting is either on or off switch which made it very hot in the room or cold :/ took over 15 mins to find my reservation, unfortunately i will not be booking my stay at this location again.

Great location, right on the bus line so getting around the city without a car is effortless. The hotel is a little old, but is clean, has a secure elevator and friendly staff. I would defintely stay here again.

We were a bit leery on account of the budget price - and certainly the Ramada, Kingsway is not a luxury hotel. Nevertheless, the beds were comfortably firm, the room clean and tidy and the staff friendly and helpful. Being natural fibre fans, we'd have preferred some slightly less synthetic sheets (you could see sparks every time you turned over!). […] And, as others have mentioned, a microwave oven would have been nice. But for the price and for a short term stay (3 nights), and for the added bonus of the free video-monitered parking lot, we were pretty satisfied on the whole. If you're looking for luxury this obviously wouldn't be the place for you. If you're after reasonable comfort for a decent price this would be a pretty good choice. Mehr

The lobby of the hotel was very nice and well maintained but once you passed that area the hotel showed severe sign of aging. That being said the rooms were clean, the bed comfortable and the service all the way around was exceptional. I would recommend the hotel but suggest that they adjust their prices down a bit or start upgrading the rooms.

Offers table&chairs, Data port on phone, but no power plugs. Charge my cell phone, had to unplug the coffee maker. Charge my laptop, I had to unplug a lamp in the room. - Nowhere near the table Front desk told me the room was fully paid for, but still wanted more money at checkin.

The hotel is located in a convenient location near the Kingsway St. However, the rooms faced to the street are noisy. We asked to change our room because of the sound/noise, and we were offered another room which was more quite but too cold, because of an unsealed door; the very small offered heater didn't help at all.

Room windows are not well sealed, and it was very cold and no proper heating

Convenient - close to grocery store and restaurants.
