Das Double Tree by Hilton hat eine top Lage. Mit dem Auto ca. 7 Minuten zu Seaworld - 3 Minuten zur sehr schönen Fashion Valley Mall. Zum Universitätsviertel 15 Minuten. Zimmer sehr sauber mit schönem Mobiliar. Poolanlage sehr schön und angenehm temperiert, es wurde immer für Hygiene gesorgt. Lüftungsanlage war aber sehr laut und brummte durchgängig. Aufgrund der Lage ist man auf ein Auto angewiesen. Seaworld ist allerdings in kurzer Zeit mit dem Auto erreichbar und so ist das Hotel ok für 1-2 Nächte um die Highlights von San Diego zu entdecken.

after I took 3 weeks just browsing online with reviews. Requested, (1) roll in shower, ( I put down on request, Hotels.com never attached to my reservation. (2) requested 2 Queens NON Smoking.(3) lower floor. I DISLIKED the fact that my card was charged, REGARDLESS, $16 a day(which we stayed 3 nights) for freaking handicapped parking and we didn't even […] use the garage, our tire had a slow leak, hotel staff didn't know a close enough location, were from VEGAS, and thankfully my GPS mobile device got us around.,We needed a transfer bench and it was as old and outdated with all the fees they make it should be bolted into the wall not the Tub! tub was dripping out alot of water, And floor looked like it has not been cleaned in over a week or 2.Housekeeping didn't do a good job, We decided to leave our dirty towels out side door area,(Whatch out the room door slams LOUD!) We got our own towels. Loved the fact Cali has passed the new ADA law requiring hotels to be compliant with chair lifts for pools/spas, hubby liked every bit, and even wore him & kids out. Cookies were a great treat upon and checking out, eve got some for road! We wanted to extend our trip another day, and were advised 2 night min. We checkd out as planned. And didnt extend our stay. 4 days before my trip I logged onto booking.com & hotels.com, Found the price went down and was refunded the difference!! We found the hotel property in very good condition--neat and clean. The family suite with an adjoining King room was a real winner for our family of 7. Heated outdoor pool, hot tub and outdoor fire pit were a big hit. The staff was excellent--very friendly and helpful with local information. You must drive to any point of interest. Water drainage was an issue in the bathtub. My spouse had to remove the plug so that the water would drain. Hair dryer did not work, had to request a replacement. Room was not cleaned during the first night's stay, maid service stated that according to system, room was vacant. Laslty, parking area was less than ideal. We were booked to stay for 4 nights - but checked out after 1! We checked in late evening to be met by a non-smiling, grumpy receptionist who immediately made us feel unwelcome. Thinking it was just a one off, late night moment , my daughter and I went to breakfast. The service was non-existent, I had to get up and find someone who could help us throughout. […] Again, non smiling server with a grumpy attitude. At that point I asked to see Manager, Josh, who is the hotels saving grace one feels, who apologised and was so helpful. However, the damage was done and there was no way we were staying for 4 nights - we checked out that morning. As a Hilton member this is the worst Hilton I have ever stayed in. The room I was given upon check-in was fine until I discovered that the air conditioning wasn't working. As soon as I reported this to the front desk they moved me to another room, even helped me move my belongings. The staff was cheerfully helpful. I would definitely stay here again. There are two complaints. One is the parking, good thing we brought are small car to get around the parking area. We would had problems if we brought our van. Two the air conditioner was not working good even tho it was cool outside the room was stuffy and we turned the air on but did not get cool inside it had a smell when we turned it on. The sink in the bathroom backup. I told them about it everyday. Finally, they sent someone to look at it and he said that it was ok. I went in the bathroom and ran the water and the sink backed up. The maintenance guy then tried to snake it and it got worse. They moved us to another room which was hot since the air did not work. After a day at the Safari Park, we needed a hotel near SeaWorld. Finding a hotel reasonably priced in the area is usually not something you find in the area unless yo want to stay in a motel. We had an issue with our room the first night as there was a maintenance issue. The staff was friendly and set us up with the Hilton down the road with the night comped. Once we were there the stay was great.

First, the parking is an overpriced nightmare!! They charge $18 to park but, we couldn't even get our standard F150 around the parking garage! They have oversized vehicle parking behind the parking structure but, it's only about 15 spots that aren't monitored because there were small cars in there as well. Maybe it doubles as employee parking? The room […] was clean and nice but, the AC didn't work! I turned it all the way down to 62 and it never cooled off! Location was great and close to all the sites in San Diego. While there was not much close by in walking distance with a car we got around very easily. They charge for parking even though gates are up most of the time and people come and go. Front Desk, while friendly, did not always seem to know what they were doing. One day I went to the pool with […] my daughter and there were no towels. I asked at the Front Desk to have more brought and after an hour of swimming and no towels we went back to the room with my young daughter shivering from the cold and wet. Restaurant food was average at best and service style was more like a cheap diner. Lots of great options in the area, we only ate dinner and breakfast once in the hotel over a seven night stay as a result. Hotel was very clean and rooms were comfortable. Mehr

This hotel had all the "Hilton" touches from the relaxed but professional front desk staff to the "welcome cookies" they give you after checking in - a very pleasant first impression. We were travelling with our 2 children with a solid intinerary so we were looking for clean, spacious, relatively central, budget friendly accommodation and that's exactly […] what we got. The room was perfect for our needs however the balcony was really tiny (not enough space for 2 people to sit down comfortably and relax of an evening). The bathroom was a good size for a family however they don't have a guest laundry so we had to either pay for a cab to the local public laundry (20 mins away) or use their valet laundry service - we chose the latter but it was seriously expensive (to be expected, of course!). They do have a nice, unpretentious restaurant which has a great buffet breakfast that is very reasonably priced as well as a beautiful outdoor area with the pool, open fire etc. It's also close to Sea World and the Zoo but Legoland is about an hour away with no public buses so we had to take a cab! Overall, a great guest experience and we wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again. Mehr

Very nice hotel. My room was huge! It was nice that it had a couch and a small refrigerator also. I'd definitely stay here again. And the best part was that all the tourist attractions in San Diego are within a 15 min drive (some a lot closer).

We stayed in a suite, so I was expecting more than we got. I was hoping for a microwave and decent coffee maker, of which we got neither... Location is awesome - it's centrally located to just about anything you could want. Parking sucks. It's $16/night to park in a structure that is so incredibly cramped with small spaces and ridiculously tight corners […] that anything other than a compact car would have to find parking elsewhere. They even put up a flyer on the entrance of the structure warning that larger vehicles won't fit. They're not kidding. The staff was very friendly, both at the front desk and ordering room service. The food was pretty good. Not sure if this hotel doesn't have AC in general or if was just our room, but all we had was a fan that blew hot air. I was thankful that we were there in January instead of the summer and that the slider opened pretty wide and could be left open all night. The bedding was very comfortable, and the room was very clean. The walls are PAPER THIN so you can hear your neighbor's conversations. They woke us both mornings we were there, so don't plan to sleep in... I wouldn't mind staying here again, but if I went back I'd probably end up looking for a different hotel. Mehr

It was very comfortable, clean and quiet. The room was quite warm; I think the a/c may have been off for winter. I just opened the patio door and there was a wonderful breeze that cooled the room down.
