Great location, very close to the beach, and the pool area is very nice! But the room was not what we expected, everything is very old and is not worth the money at all.

Rooms could be a little nicer. Lots of construction. Looked at three different rooms and must say some rooms are better then others. Should not require guest to pay for daily drinks between 4-6pm. It should be optional; I don't drink! Overall not a bad hotel, would stay again for the price.

We payed a mandatory $25 per person for breakfast and we were never told about it until 4 days later. The service is great, very sweet . The place is dirty and needs to b rehabd . They pumped all the money in the entrance, curb appeal , lobby , pool and landscaping . The rooms are substandard.

I searched for a hotel very carefully to stay in this past Saturday September 22, 2012 until Tuesday September 25, 2012. When I looked at your website the photo gallery of your hotel impressed me enough for me to book with you. Upon checking in on Saturday night, we were given the key to room 736. To my surprise this room was hideous!!!!! The ceiling […] was going to cave in, the air conditioner was defective as it blew out warm air, the bathroom floor had black spots on it (along with cherry pits on it), the sink was not working, the shower door was off the hinge, the lamp in the room was white with stains on it, the curtains were dingy and not properly hung. I went downstairsto the front desk, to ask was there another a room that we could be changed into. He told me, not tonight because there weren't any rooms available. That room looked as if it was being worked on and was totally incomplete. There was no way whatsoever, this room should have not been rented out to anyone!!!! My stay was brief but nice. The rooms are decent (not great) but comfy and clean (mine was). The hotel is right on Collins ave. (in walking distance of Lincoln Rd.) and the view of the beach (from the room) was awesome. I would definitely consider staying at the Shelborne again.

The hotel's room was crap. roud staff, They are saying WIFi and breakfast is free but then you have to pay for it. bathroom does not have curtain, I do not recommend it to anyone. Im very disappointing I stayed in there 2 years ago and it was not bad that's y I came bak what they advertising is totally not the same when we came and the room was horrible so I asked to b moved to a room next door the front desk didn't want to acamadade so they show me the room with better beds but not room so i moved to that room first I waited […] for 4 hours until they moved me it waisted my relaxing time I came to relax there and I had to deal whith the front desk. not a great hotel. location is nice, right by south beach. staff is overwhelmed with number of hotel patrons. the hotel bar is a joke, totally dead, they say you get 2 complementary drinks at happy hour but that means only a choice of vodka cranberry or vodka orange---and they only give you their cheap vodka. overall, not impressed.

The shower will change very hot and very cold in random moment! The room is not the same with the photos on websites especially the very bad bathroom (broken shower tub)! Service of info center is good and house keeping is kind, but not the front desk. The rooms weren't ready, for hours. The place is old, filthy, scarey. The air conditioning didn't work in either of the two rooms and I had to REALLY complain to change to other rooms. There is a mandatory resort per room, which includes the internet service and breakfast. This fee is not mentined in the booking. The parking fee is very high, not mentioned […] in the booking. The breakfast was pitiful and the service was lousy. We left early, don't bother. The hotel was amazing the staff was so helpful and friendly at all times! I loved that it was right on the beach Which also too was breathtaking!! the pool was always cleaned and well kept! our room was beautiful as well simple and clean room service was always very fast. the pool bar has the most amazing chicken burritos i have every tried in my life!!!!! […] the tacos are also amazing i wish i stayed longer to try the rest of the menu! Wow!!! The hotel also hosted a huge pool party on Saturday which was crazy and so much fun!! Defiantly make sure to rent your own cabana it was $500 minimum but that is used towards bottle and food so between a huge group it works out to so cheap and gives you a great party station! they even provided us with an umbrella upon request so we could have some shade which was amazing ( and for no extra charge) note there is not really need to bring towels either as the do provide them for you however just a heads up the hotel does charge you an extra 25 dollars a night for "hotel fees" whatever that means...so that would probably be the only down fault about the hotel i hate hidden costs!!! Also ask to see the room before you unpack your bags as there are some beautiful rooms and some OK rooms as we experienced with friends... my room was very modern and beautiful and my friends was more like a motel room in mexico...so for the same price you better make sure you get the nicer room!!! oh last tip bring your own music/ i pod player always smart to do! Got off to a ruff start. Got to the hotel and the front desk clerk Kevin act as if I wasn't suppose to be there. The lack of organization and customer service when checking-in should have been an indication of the service provided by this hotel. The night concierge was unhelpful and unpleasant. The morning waiters for the complimentary breakfast were miserable. The lobby and hallways are deceiving - they modernized and well kept. Then you arrive at your room, […] you have to fight the door just to get in and the room is TERRIBLE! Beautiful view, but the room is dirty, the walls are stained, the bathroom is ridiculous - trying to contain the water temperature is a task! Management should be ashamed. HoteL evening staff was rude. Was charged $100 a night (in addition to paying for the room in advance) for a deposite in advance. I used the ATM and was charged $15 to withdraw $300. The pool area was transformed into a night club on Saturday. And unless you paid $500 for bed area ( with bottle service) seats where not available. We had a nice experience at the hotel. The ocean view of our room was great and the staff were friendly as well. However, the carpet was a bit dirty and needed to be replaced. Other than that, there was lots going on at the hotel, there is a bar and a club and pool parties.

The hotel played music so loudly in the foyer 24/7 that it seemed more like a nightclub. There was no warning of the noise levels. Definitely a hotel for younger travelers. Cleanliness of hotel was below standard. I had a suite and was very unimpressed. Location is the only reason this hotel can justify prices.

the room was tired and old, but comfortable. The door itself, room 607, was damaged. The dead bolt could not be fastened. The security latch at the top of the door was totally ineffective. The toilet paper hanger was broken and not usable.
