Gardens Hotel - Manchester

Das Hotelpersonal war stets freundlich, die Zimmer und Bad sauber. Am besten gefiel mir die zentrale Lage des Hotels. Ca. 5 Gehminuten vom Bahnhof und weniger als 3 Min. bis in die Innenstadt mit all den Geschäften, Pubs und Museen. Ich würde diese Unterkunft immer wieder buchen :) Negativ: Da ein paar Jugendliche auf den Nichtraucher-Zimmern geraucht […] haben, ist um 3:30 am der Feueralarm los gegangen. Als ich in der Lobby ankam, war aber niemand da, um den Gästen Auskunft zu geben, was nun passiert war bzw. dass alles okay war. Mehr

War einfach toll. Die Lage ist ideal: Ganz zentral, viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Sauber. Die Servicekräfte sind nett. Im Verhältnis zu dem Preis ist das Hotel echt empfehlenswert.

Wir waren für 3 Nächte im Gardens Hotel, um Oasis in Manchester zu sehen und haben gleichzeitig die Zeit genutzt die Stadt ein bisschen kennenzulernen. Die Lage des Hotels ist wirklich ausgezeichnet man ist mitten im Zetrum und es lässt sich alles perfekt zu fuss erreichen ( Bus / bahn / Supermarkt / Stadt Zentrum Pubs ... etc ) Das Hotel war sauber. […] Man muss allerdings nichts grosses erwarten, die Zimmer sind recht einfach gestaltet und die Türen sind sehr dünn, so dass man jedes Geräusch hört. Die Servicekräfte waren stehts freundlich und hilfreich. Für uns war der Aufenthalt aufgrund der Lage und des Preises perfekt. Ich würde sofort nochmal dorthin gehen. Wär allerdings komfort braucht sollte doch woanders hin gehen. Mehr

Sehr zentral , tolles Preis-Leistungsverhältnis .

Hatten zuerst ein Zimmer zum Innenhof. Bei geöffnetem Fenster hörte man im Hof die ganze Nacht Lüftungsgeräusche anderer Zimmer. Bekamen für die zweite Nacht ohne Probleme ein neues und super Zimmer.

4 night stay - 2 nights of being wakened by the fire alarm, due to a fault!

Excellently situated for the Main Shopping Centre, Railway Station and the Bridgewater Hall which we attended on the Friday Night. Hotel looked after our bags whilst we did a little Christmas Shopping on the Saturday. Excellent Hotel - spacious and very well presented. Many thanks

For a1night stay (to catch the Christmas markets),this was perfect. The hotel is within walking distance of the station and the shops. Bargain price for a city centre hotel with all the amenities I needed (including a hair dryer)

WE STAYED IN THE FRONT OF THE HOTEL AND WAS AMAZED AT THE LIGHTS ON THE SQUARE. IT LOOKED LIKE A WONDERLAND, EVERYONE WAS SO NICE AND INTERESTED IN HOW OUR DAY HAD BEEN. WE CAN NOT WAIT TO GO BACK, SO CONVENIENT TO THE TRAINS, TRAM, AND BUSES.

Nice and central. Staff very friendly and room clean but basic. Breakfast was awful.

A pleasant stay. Felt comfortable in the most part. Just a couple of niggles. Bathroom needed decorating (updating). Lighting poor. Quite noisy. Needed earplugs to be able to get any sleep. Overall though for a 3 star, not bad. All the staff were very helpful and my room was spotless.

Comfortable and clean room with free Wi-Fi in a very central location in Manchester for a reasonable price. Definately will be back.

Great location and close to everything, the rooms are a good size and were clean, staff were friendly. Great for a short stay on a budget.

Rather tired hotel, in need of refurbishment but clean & convenient.

Great Value - Clean and comfortable nights sleep. Roasting though and no fans or air con. Street terribly noisy with window open but despite this was very pleased and have already booked again

I enjoyed my stay tat the hotel. The staff were friendly and polite. The room was clean and very good value especailly as the location was very central to the town centre. I would recommend it, and will coming back again in Setember when i drop my son off to Univeristy.

THE HOTEL IS IN AN EXCELLENT LOCATION ONLY 5 MINUTES WALK FROM PICCADILY STATION. THE OVERALL CONDITION OF THE HOTEL IS GOOD, RECEPTION IS LOVELY, CLEAN & MODERN. MY BEDROOM ON FIRST IMPRESSIONS WAS NICE BUT THE BATHROOM WAS ON CLOSER INSPECTION A BIT AGED, BIG CRACK IN THE SINK, WETWALL HAD BLACK MARKS BETWEEN THE JOINTS AND I HAVE TO SAY A VERY AWKWARD […] SHOWER. I MANAGED TO TURN IT ON BUT COULDNT GET IT TURNED OFF, IT TOOK ABOUT 10 MINS OF FIDDLING WITH THE DIAL BEFORE I MANAGED TO TURN IT OFF. MY SECOND GRUMBLE WOULD BE WHEN I DROPPED MY TOWEL ON THE FLOOR AND ON PICKING IT UP A LONG BLACK HAIR FELL INTO THE SINK, YOU SEE I HAVE RED HAIR SO THIS WAS A BIT YUCKY. OVERALL THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST HOTELS I HAVE STAYED IN AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO OTHER PEOPLE, I CANNOT FAULT THE LOCATION. JUST PERFECT!! WOULD GO BACK AGAIN. Mehr

Fantastic location, friendly staff who couldn't be more helpful than they were and the room was spacious, comfy and clean! Definately stay there again on my next visit to Manchester

Location was excellent, close to all ameneties and main rail and bus station. A short tram ride to Old Trafford which was the purpose of my visit. Accomodation was adequate for the price, would use this hotel again.

really a nice journey

the hotel was exactly in the location that i wanted. it was very cheap to stay in. The quality of the rooms were old but were clean and comfortable. The only complaint i had was that the shower head was broke apart from that it was a perfect stay.

The gardens hotel is very convenient to the city center in Manchester, it is a reasonable rate hotel, and the staff are very nice and helpful. There are clean sheets and towels! I didn't need much more than that! It is not a 4-star hotel, but it is worth the price...I have stayed there several times and would do t again.

Grat location right in the middle of Manchester. Room I got was chilly, but they gave me a new room when I asked and even upgraded it. Definately worth staying.

the only good think of this hotel is locations,evrythink else can be much better .The room we staed no central heating,it start working next day,very small ,window broken.one morning we were coming at 6.30 a.m. tired from 1day trip to london,we had to wait 30 minets outside so the receptionist open for us ,ringing and noking the door.at 8 a.m. fire […] alarm start ringing for 25minets nobody even inform about it,so thay should improve a lot of thinks........very dark rooms..... i recently stayed for 3 nights with my boyfriend at this hotel. we travelled from ireland to a man utd game. the hotel is in a great location, close to the arndale shopping centre where you will find any shop. we got the train from and to the airport which was only five minutes walk to the hotel. the hotel was what i expected for the price i paid which […] was quite reasonably. the room was always lovely and warm and it was cleaned daily. the showers were always good and hot with good pressure. the room might not be modern but it was perfect for our needs. i travelled up from luton about a 3 hour journey the hotel was easy to find it was a nice hotel good service but the only downfall was there was no parking , but it wa a good stay.

Welcoming & very helpful staff over my 3 day stay. clean rooms & hotel. Breakfast was lovely. central to all shops & resturants. 5mins walk from manchester Picadilly station. great value for money.

This is a very nice hotel in excellent location and courteous service.

When we arrived at this hotel, there were rubbish bags in the lobby area just laying about, and the faux snake/osterich chairs were a bit Over the Top considering the rest of the hotel, but the lobby had clearly just undergone a refurbishment of sorts and looked semi-clean (barring the rubbish bags - but at least the rubbish was in the bags and not […] on the floor). Once in our rooms, it was a different story. A crooked lamp (broken) on the desk, brown streaks running down the walls and something that resembled a bullet hole next to one of the beds. The carpets were not even properly fitted to the rooms, it looked like someone had gone out to get the leftovers but they didn't quite fit. Let's move on to the bathrooms. The showers had mold gathering in the grout and crevices, hte sink taps had missing bits, the loo roll holder was broken nad left on the wall as a consolation prize and the loo actually moved when you sat down. In some hallways, there were random holes in the walls and it had a feeling of being in a bad horror movie. In the end, we left the hotel and went to the premier inn, which was like a squeaky clean mecca in comparison. Mehr

Only a five minute walk from Manchester Picadilly Station, so the hotel is centrally located. Was worried that the hotel might be noisy as located on a busy hotel, but as my room wasn't facing this road it was quite, apart from the odd saturday night reveler returing to their room, which is maybe what you expect. Hotel is a little tired looking, and […] the views are not exciting, but more importantly it is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. Our stay was room only, which suited us as plenty of place to eat near-by. Would use the hotel again if I was staying in Manchester. Mehr

The hotel is in a central location; is cheap and very comfortable. The service is excellent and the staff helpful. Its a clean and pleasant hotel. Very impressed.

A nice central location, low prices. So I got about what I was waiting for. Not very clean room, leaking building, drafty and a bit noisy room. But I got what I paid for, no big complaints.

The location of this hotel is excellent being right on Piccadilly gardens but that was the best thing about it. The staff weren't rude but a smile wouldn't have hurt. The room was comfortable and the decor was what was expected for the price, unfortunately the shower was awful which was a deal breaker for me. It kept changing temperature and moving […] so the water was going on the wall. I wouldn't stay here again. Mehr

Myself and three friends stayed in the Gardens Hotel, it was cheap and is in a great location,. If you're looking for somewhere to just sleep and store your shopping then this is the place to stay.

I found thehotel was in a good location i used it for an overnight stay after going to a concert . they had a night porter so no trouble getting in late at night .the room was ok tea and coffee at hand so great for a brew when you got in .Would use it again.

It is not suitable for more than a few days but excellently placed in the middle of Manchester. I was rung up by the porter in the middle of the night, the shower and bath controls were "muddled" so don't be wet in the shower when you turn on the cold tap and burn your feet! But the breakfast was good and the room was clean even if the noise from other […] guests might be intrusive through the paper-thin walls. But although its clearly Victorian and therefore NOT modern, its location makes it a success as a mid-priced Bed & Breakfast. I would give it a go if you're only staying there a couple of nights. The hotel location is nice, in the middle of everything and still close to railway station. There is nothing special about the hotel: everything is not impressing, but quite acceptable. If you find the price reasonable, it is quite OK.

enjoyed our brief stay at the G ardens Hotel which is very well situated for transport,bars and eateries in central Mancester.Only complaint was the view of a derilct building fom the room window !

This hotel was booked for a stag weekend so the location was great and the decor was pure retro: you're only sleeping there, remember?
