The hotel is conveniently located. But needs an upgrade. The room was clean enough, but everything is seedy and out of date especially the bathroom. The included breakfast menu hasn't changed since we stayed there quite some years ago and doesn't compare with other hotel breakfast offerings. We did not get much sleep the night we were there, as there […] were young people who apparently never went to sleep and since we were on the first floor near the elevator, we heard them constantly. It was fine until the people on the 3rd floor decided to go outside and get loud and drive off with alot of noise, people and cars slaming doors at about 1:oo AM then they returned at about 3 AM with the same noise and running up the steps, so the sleeping part of our trip was interrupted twice that night . "Only if it's the last place in Rehoboth"
The location and the neighborhood was great. However the hotel itself is extremely dated. The bathroom door was rotten from the bottom, the vanity missing paint, badly chipped, the furniture in the room itself was in need of repair. The bedding and curtains need to be replaced also.
"Slept in Old Smoky!"
Reserved no-smoking. Definitely was a smoking room. Clothes that were unpacked the next day, needed to be washed because they were so smokey. Cheap hotel in a desirable neighborhood = you get what you pay for. No, I would not stay here again. Fortunately, I checked in and didn't get to my room until 9pm and checked out at 6am. Cheap pit stop!

we have been to this hotel at least 7 times in the last 2 years; place have great price and is very close to everything in Rehoboth Beach. Only thing it lacks is an ocean view, but Rehoboth is not that big to have all the hotels in the shore.... Very happy that Hotels.com FINALLY allows us to book this place throw their website!!!

"bargain hotel a few minutes from the beach"
We were just looking for a place to check in, sleep and check out, so we took a chance on this low cost hotel. It's an older property, but it was clean and well maintained for its age. The staff was very nice, and even came out at 5:30am to check on screaming by a very rude couple staying at the hotel. Breakfast is available in the lobby, and Cracker […] Barrel is just across the parking lot, so economical meals are plentiful. Mehr
The Hotel staff was very nice, and the room was clean except for the towels had a mildew odor, and we couldnt find the location of the ice machine, we stayed at the roadway inn and suites last october and the room was much larger had a full size kitchen and couch & chair and it didnt show age and wear.

"Coastal Highway"
not a bad price for what you get... do be sure to book through a web site it will save you lots of money just make sure to have your conformation with you b/c they won't take your word for it...
"Too Much Noise!"
Other guests were extremely loud all night, barely got any sleep. Hallway echoed, doors slammed, loud talking - very annoying. We make frequent trips to Delaware, we will not be staying in this hotel again.
"Rehoboth"
During our stay in Rehoboth for the Pride festival we stayed at the Econo Lodge and I must say the location, cleanliness, and customer service was wonderful. We are already planning on using this hotel again next year and to recommend it to all of our friends.

"Very Pleased"
The room was clean and very well furnished the cleaning staff did a great job.

This hotel is conveniently located to shopping and restaurants. The physical plant has potential but is poorly maintained. Rooms need to be updated and deeply cleaned. Odors of mold and smoke are in evidence. Friendly and helpful staff. Hotels.com map inaccurate. Hotel is south of Route 24, not north.
"Very Bad"
The room had the odor of smoke and we had requested a non smoking room. The floor was wet by the balcony door and there was mold/mildew around the window and on the ceiling.The bathroom door did not lock. The stairway smelled of urine. The only thing we liked was that it was close to the beach and attractions. We will never stay here again.

this nonsmoking room reeked of cigarette smoke. the mattresses were lumpy and uncomfortable. the "Free breakfast" was crowded, dirty and limited. what a flea-bag! will never stay again!!

The room had a very strong smell of something resembling cleaning supplies. It was so strong, I had difficulty being in the room let alone try to sleep there. When we got in, there were flies flying around the room. There was mold in the corner of the room. The bedding looked old and was not particularly clean. The staff was not friendly.. Location and price are the main reasons to choose this property along with Pat at the front desk she is an angel. Property has weathered some storms and the bathroom was in need of some repair. "the Econo Lodge Rohoboth, DE"
For the most part my stay was enjoyable. My only complaint is that the fitted sheets did not fit very well. They kept slipping off at the corners.
"Perfectly acceptable"
We booked at the last minute and got a fair price for a no-frills room. Front desk was friendly and helpful. No problems, no complaints. Just don't count on the continental breakfast for much -- just juice, coffee, and donuts/muffins. No milk, no cereal, no yogurt, no hardboiled eggs.

I very much enjoyed my stay at econo we were in room 326 which was a suite had lots of room the living room alone was twice the size of any hotel room then I had two separate bedrooms and a bathroom along with a front balcony.. "Great place.."
The hotel is acctually in better condition then the pictures show! We were kind od afraid when we arrived because of the pictures, but it was nice.. 10 minuts away from the beach, a small pool at the hotel and close to restaurants! Very good to the price.

"Everything but the Tub!"
Overall, we were very pleased with our stay. The front desk staff were friendly and our room was clean. The hotel was only a few miles off the beach which was PERFECT for our day trip. Oh! And there was an unexpectedly HUGE jacuzzi tub! We were excited! However, the drawback came when after a wonderful day at the beach and romantic dinner, we came […] back to our hotel for a relaxing dip in the tub, and the jets blew out a ton of black/brown mold. EWWW! Thank GOD my honey had the foresight to test the jets before we got in. When he called down to tell the front desk what had happened, they promptly offered to switch rooms...but it was 10:45pm & we just weren't up for that. No other attempt at compensation was made (BOO). Anyway, we salvaged the evening & settled on cleaning the tub ourselves then taking a dip sans jets. It was still relaxing, and for the price I really can't complain. We will stay again if the price is still right but we will test those jets when we check in! Mehr
"Econo Lodge at Rehoboth Beach"
Not very clean hotel. Upkeep of the rooms are very poor. Even the plastic chairs in the balcony were so dirty that we were not able to hang out wet towels there. Good location, very close to the beach. It is better to go to the park and ride and get a shuttle to the beach. Parking near the beach is ery expensive.

"Good Price for the Beach!"
I was there for the beach not the room; so therefore it was a good price for the beach! Rooms in need of updating eg. new carpet, walls redone & bathrooms overhauled! Very friendly cleaning staff & the continental breakfast was pretty good but small eating area! Would stay there again!
"Dirty, Falling Apart, Etc."
Room was dirty. Ceiling tiles in the bathroom sagging/falling. Wall paper ripped and damaged. Air Condition Unit leaked in the room during entire stay. All sheets, and pillows stained. A very bad experience overall.

I found the Econolodge Hotel in Rohobeth Beach to be a great place to stay, It was right in the middle of everything, just 2 miles form the Beach, in which was very easy to find. I would recommend the Econologe to everyone, and I plan on going back. The price for my room was in my opinion excellent.

My travel experience was horrible. I traveled 4 hours to the hotel with 2 small children (1 and 3). When I got to the front desk the person was very nice, however when we went to our rooms they were smoking rooms. When I booked the rooms I indicated NON SMOKING which was reflected on my confirmation. The two woman at the front desk told me two different […] things. One stated that it was not indicated what type of room I wanted and the other stated that it indicated that I wanted a smoking room. The smoking rooms were horrible. In addition to giving us the wrong room they stated that they did not have any rooms available. After insisting that they give me another room they offered me a suite that was too small. When then had more dialouge and they had a room at the hotel next door. I will never book a room at the Econo Lodge!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mehr

"Econo-Lodge Rehoboth Beach"
The hotel was below-average overall. The people were very, very friendly. However, the room was absolutely disgusting. It was the worst hotel room we have ever been in. The pool was nice and the location was fine but the room was so bad it trumped everything else about the hotel. Econo Lodge location made my stay at the beach a very pleasant experience. The pool was always clean and perfect for the kids. Breakfast was excellent. Coffee was among the best. We really enjoyed out stay. Staff was friendly and willing to help.

Reasonable rates. Clean, comfortable room. would have liked a "late checkout" but that was not possible due to "heavy booking" on my departure date.
