We had the room we wanted on the main floor. There was no balcony, so the room was stuffy at times. The Breakfast bar was great!!

Our King room was stuffy and small, with no microwave or fridge as described. The ice machine didn't work and when we informed the staff, their response was, "Guess I'll go unplug it." Check-out time for most hotels is noon, but this place is 11am. I tried requesting a noon check-out the night before but was told no, I must check out at 11am because […] they've already granted too many late check-outs for following morning. I explained that I was running in the half-marathon and needed time to come back and shower, and they rudely told me that they'll be sending in the maids right at 11am. Ok fine, we left the race early and came back at 10:40am to check out, only to find that we'd been LOCKED OUT of our room! Our room keys had been deactivated 20 minutes before check out time! Despite the rude customer service and the lack of promised amenities, being locked out of our room was completely unacceptable! This is the first time I've ever stayed at a Quality Inn and definitely the last... travelers beware! Mehr

This place was lacking in a number of areas. Our room was below ground level and looked out at an unsightly dirt area at eye level with the freeway off-ramp just a few feet outside. Hotel backs up to freeway, and is not in a great area, kind of off the beaten path. Rooms are very dated, they did not have a crib for my daughter, even though the website said they did.

Our motel room needed some serious updating. We were on the first floor and felt unsafe because the rooms were easily accessible through an unlocked open Area leading to the parking lot. the neighborhood and easy freeway ramp location seemed sketchy. The room was small, stuffy, and had zero soundproofing. We had a king, bed BUT it was surprisingly comfortable. […] The lobby and breakfast buffet area was mediocre with typical motel free breakfast selevtion. The front desk clerk very friendly and helpful. We have stayefd at much nicer motels for the price of $120 a night. It was a last minute reservation that we made from the road during spring break, so in all fairness we were lucky to get a room. But we would not return there in the future. Mehr

Clean room. Don't let proximity to the freeway scare you; even though adjacent to the freeway, the room was very quiet and we never heard any traffic noise. (The building appears designed specifically to prevent noise from the freeway.) The room was a little pricey for what you get, but you have to remember you are paying for proximity to Solvang, where […] the rooms are crazy expensive (over $200 for a Friday at the Holiday Inn Express in Solvang on the same night we stayed here). Plenty of places to eat nearby, including restaurants with local charm. I would recommend this place if you are on a budget, but not if you are used to staying at more upscale business hotels. Mehr

We chose this location because we were visiting Solvang & Santa Ynez with our dog. The staff directed us to a phenomenal dog park close by, and another park for longer walks. Easy on/off location.

Have stayed here before. Buellton is a great location -- near Solvang and Santa Barbara with easy freeway access. Complimentary breafast is very nice. The only drawback is iffy Internet access. We had no problem the second day of our stay, but could not get on at all the first day.

This is not a fancy hotel but it's clean and safe. My only complaint is the AC. wall unit. It was very loud and it was hard for me to sleep. Other than that this hotel is good for a quick stay and the location is convenient.

A very clean and nice hotel, perfect for a short stay in the Solvang / Buellton area. The room was small, but perfectly sized for a one person, even two. This is not the Ritz, nor will it cost you as much. A great place to relax for the night and then be on your way. The highway is nearby, but I could not hear it from my room. The pillows were dreadful, and our room only had one nightstand, this was very uncomfortable. both my husband and I wear glasses and one of us did not have a place to place our glasses and/or our cell phones near us! Or to place a water filled cup near. Otherwise, it was ok! Pillows were small and uncomfortable was not able to sleep soundly!

WE had stayed in this hotel a few years back. It has been remodeled and redecorated. It is wonderful and clean and very comfortable. The hotel was decorated nicely. and we enjoyed our stay.

It was an ok hotel..I liked that it had a refrigerator and microwave. The only inconvenience was that if you are in the first floor, you get to hear the walking steps from upstairs. I am a really light sleeper so when the guest upstairs got up, I could hear each and every step..Didn't enjoy that experience.

A nice clean inexpensive place to stay. The staff was quick to respond to any questions or requests. The maid service did a very nice job of keep the room clean. The room was small but that was expected. Still all-in-all if you just need a place to stay this worked out very well.

Hotel was clean and staff was available and helpful. Bed was very comfortable. Room had minor motor traffic noise from nearby highway. Free breakfast was GREAT - lots of variety and good food. Hotel is a bit dated - could use a remodel but very clean, comfortable and a great value.

Horrible! Noisy due to freeway traffic--did not stop all night long! People upstairs walking,jumping on floor til 4 am.--no soundproofing. Vending machines did not work. Ramp for easy access (disability, children, luggage) hidden and in inconvenient location--plus, no signage. Breakfast in the am crummy experience--small room, buffet style, but "guests" […] rude and pushy. Recommend sleeping in car over staying in this miserable place. Mehr

Not a bad place to stay as long as you're not stuck with my room! I was right below the registration desk by the elevator and the constant sounds of footsteps and luggage rollers THUNDERED OVERHEAD as if they were inside my room -- It sounded like the ceiling was ready to collapse! The building was obviously not constructed with a hardwood floor in […] mind in the lobby and what would have been a carpeted floor above could have helped muffle the noise a bit. Friendly staff. The hotel is older and the furnishings are showing their age, but it was clean and everything worked. It's located right off the freeway, but our room was not on the side of the building next to the freeway, so there was very little traffic noise.
