we have always liked Wis. So anytime we can,we come to Wis. Not just Madison but the whole state. on whole the trip was nice and relaxing.Why don't you have more then coffee at this hotel

This is my regular spot when I go to Madison, and other than the clerk forgetting to give me my wake up call, everything went smoothly. Glad I remembered to set the alarm clock after I requested my wake up call.

Very nice hotel, room was clean and pleasant. It was a bit too far to the Alliant Center for the show we were attending. Rooms are a tad small but well furnished.

Nice room. Good value. Clean.

Hotel rate was good. No breakfast, but nearby bagels and other fast food outlets were available. Lobby computer required payment to access Internet to do on-line airline checkin. Neaby construction on East Washington Ave made finding access to hotel difficult.

The rooms looked like they spent some money to update them and for the price it was about as good as you can get. The beds weren't at all comfortable, though.

Great price and surprisingly good hotel. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and efficient. Good size room, logical location for outlets to plug into, and good lighting so I did not feel like i was in a cave. Finally, great location to East Towne Malll area.

You get what you pay for. Decent room for the money, but cold in the morning after shutting off NOISY heater. Ask for an extra blanket or ear plugs when you check in.

This hotel was convienient for where I was working but the overall condition of the room needed some upgrade. The carpet was frayed, the beds were hard as a rock. I would not stay here in the future.

The roads out of Madison were to poor to drive back to Wausau, so my Grandson and I registered on line at the Howard Johnsons for the Red Roof which was $45.00 cheaper. Well, you guessed it as to why it was cheaper. Room smelled of smoke and Mary the maid left us a size DDD bra and teddy outfit. I would guess it was from the previous occupant. Was very impressed with improvements from the last time I stayed at this location. For the price for the stay was very satisfied with the conditions. Will stay here again in the future.

When we walked into our room the first thing my husband and I noticed was the smell of stale smoke. The either need to paint or use some Arm & Hammer baking soda to remove the stale smoke smell.

The room was great. The hotel was clean and in a nice location. However, you could hear every little noise outside the rooms from talking to people opening their room doors to driving up to the hotel.

We were given one small packet of shampoo per day for 3 people to use.

This is my go to hotel in Madison, rooms are always at a fair price and it's basic and clean. There is a mall across the street so you can find plenty of food and drink there.

I made a mistake and booked this place. Smelly room. Bed sheet was not changed. And itches to stay. What can you say?

I just need a place to stay for the night, nothing fancy and this fit exactly what I was looking for and at the right price.

Really reasonable rates for a pared down but really clean motel. Staff was really nice.

For an inexpensive hotel, I was generally pleased with the Red Roof Inn in Madison. The staff were friendly and helpful with explaining how to get around. There was a good workspace with free Wi-Fi. All in all it was a good value despite a couple of shortcomings. The first problem was that although it is listed as the "Dane County Airport" Red Roof, […] it was a $ 20 cab ride (with tip), making it less of a good value if you are not renting a car. The second problem was that my non-smoking room reeked of tobacco. This is not the first time this has occurred in an inexpensive motel but was definitely a bad way to start. On the plus side, I am sure that the friendly and helpful staff would have given me another room had I asked. Once the room was aired out it was quite comfortable. Mehr

Decent location right off the highway, next to a number of other chains. Overall maintenance of the place was fair, but linens looking a little tired and threadbare. Time to buy some new sheets and towels. Also pretty noisy, with a group coming and going at all hours, making lots of noise, playing a boom box at 5:45 am. Extremely low rate. Room was clean, smelled good, and had a nice shower. I think the rooms have recently been refreshed, as floors, fixtures, etc, seemed newer. Mattresses were not top end, but they were comfortable. Desk staff was friendly and super fast. Amazing deal.

I went into my room late at night ready to just lay down so I could get some rest for my big job interview the next morning. I get unpacked and turn on the lamp next to the bed (parking lot lighting illuminated most of the room so i didn't need it till this point) and there's a dead bug on the pillow, and cig burns in the sheets. I work in Madison semi-regularly and stay here with my dog. The rooms are simple ( I stay in the one with a microwave and fridge), very clean and inexpensive for the city. The area is safe. The staff is very nice and accomodating which is important since I have my dog with me and sleeping at odd hours. They give her doggie cookies in the lobby which […] scores major bonus points for me; she now knows where we are and runs to the lobby to greet her friends. . . Mehr

Place smelled. Only booked at the Red Roof Inn because of there consistant quality

The hotel is located in a business park area just of the interstate, very convenient. We ere surprised that they didn't offer breakfast, but there are many places nearby to get something to eat. One maintenance issue: the paint near the bath tub near the floor was blistered....it appeared that water is getting into the wall board.

nice place for the money. clean, quiet, just good .

My room was next to a couple with a very large dog. I'm good with hotels allowing dogs, but those of us on the way to an early morning flight would appreciate not being right next to a barking all nighter. My bathroom sink and tub wouldn't drain and the toilet handle had to be wiggled to stop running. It was a long night and not one I'm likely to do […] again soon. Mehr

I booked the room last minute from my phone along the drive to Madison. Super convenient! I checked in without any problems, and the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. It is really easy to get to downtown Madison. Also, it's right off the interstate, so it's convenient to get out of Madison too. The room was clean and the lady at the front desk was very friendly. The rate was good and the hotel is within walking distance to restaurants. I would definitely stay there again.

Nice Room. It was quiet and clean. Just needed a place to rest. Had a diner for the night and just wanted a place to stay in case we would of had to much to drink. Just wanted a Night with out distractions.

Place was just fine..Deb at the desk does a great job and we had a good laugh as I immediately locked myself out of my room. Room was clean and comfortable..recent upgrades are nice..Freshly updated bathroom. I don't care for Madison but I'll stay here again.
