Das Red Roof Inn Pittsburgh South Airport ist eigentlich ein gutes Hotel im Preis-Leistungsverhältnis,wenn wir nicht eine echt Käferplage gehabt hätten.Mit jedem Öffnen der Tür kamen gleich ein paar Viecher ins Zimmer,echt eklig Die Zimmer selbst sind schön groß,zwei Betten und Raucher wie von uns gewünscht. Das Bad ist ziemlich klein. Parken, Wifi […] und der an der Rezeption selbst abzuholende Föhn sind kostenlos. Mehr

Good location... Close to Robinson Mall. 20 minutes from University of Pittsburgh which was our destination for graduation! Go Pitt!!!!

My mother and my kids decided to visit PA to go to Heinz field for the day and then ventured to the zoo the next day. We are not familiar with the area so we relied on the hotel ratings and were very pleased with the outcome. Everything was clean and the staff was very nice! We would definately chose to stay there again if needed!

It was deplorable. The bathroom door did not lock. The maintenance crew never came into our room to give us clean sheets, remove the trash, or bring clean towels. I had to keep going to the front office and ask for them. The bathroom sink stopper broke and filled sink with water. One of our nights we were wakened by someone banging on our door at 3:00 […] a,m. called the front desk and the individual came to check for anyone in the area. It was very scary. The refrigerator did not keep food cold enough. We had some food spoil because of the low temperature. the courtesy newspaper was not available. Coffee was not readily available as described in the brochure. I have never been to a hotel where such services were so bad. The front desk also double booked me on my reservation. Very dissatisfied. It was OK and the rate was fine. Desk staff was a little obnoxious, but it was tolerable. The room was just fine. I would stay there again.

It was nice room, but the bathroom exhaust fan was very loud.

The hotel did not have a refrigerator and a microwave. There were not any guide books and/or phones book to access the surrounding areas as well.

Very impressed with the Red Roof Inn near the Robinson Mall in Pittsburgh. It looks like it was remodeled with wooden floors, new lights and a new bathroom and shower. It was very clean!

Out of the 3 hotels we stayed at on our trip, this overnight stay before flying home out of Pittsburgh was the best, and ironically - the cheapest!! I was very happy with the Red Roof Inn. The lady running the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I had to turn in my rental car the night before and she helped me setup a complimentary shuttle back […] to the hotel, and one to the airport early the next morning. The room was clean and serviceable. No issues there. Free parking, free Internet and the immediate location had plenty of restaurants and shopping options. The complimentary shuttle to the airport was very much appreciated. This was an excellent choice of hotel, and at a great rate for what was offered. Mehr

I was amazed. The place was spotless and the room was comfortable. The WiFi fast and reliable. The lady at the front desk said the place had been recently remodeled. If your room will be like mine was you will not be one bit disappointed, especially for the money. A mall and lots of restaurants nearby.

convenient location, you really couldn't beat it. over all the up keep of the hotel was good, it looked really clean. short distance from the mall. the only fault i had was our room was really dirty, chips under the bed, hair on the bathroom floor and our bed was off the rails. i don't know if all of the rooms were like this, it seemed like a clean […] place it could have just been that our room was cleaned by a slacker but over all it was a good place to stay for the price. I have stayed in a lot of hotels/motels. It seems that a certain quality can be expected based on the room price. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this room was nicer than expected for the price. Front desk very professional and friendly. Even upon check-in after midnight. Thanks.

Have stayed there reveal times. Cheap, convenient, not great though not terrible. Last time I stayed in a recently refreshed room which was quite nice, a much improved experience. The hotel (motel) can still be a bit noisy especially late at night s folks return from an evenings activities. It's a value proposition, if cheap is important, then you can […] do much worse. Mehr

Nice room, spotless, comfortable. Will use this hotel again in the future. Price was good - cheaper and a nicer room than the nearby Days Inn, which I've used previously. Woman at the desk when I checked in wasn't very pleasant but the woman there in the AM was nice. I don't like that they bill you for the lock box in the room and then you have to ask […] to have the charge removed if you don't use it....it should be the other way around. The lady at the front desk was really rude. She should be little more courteous to the hotel guests.

If you are looking to visit the Pittsburgh area and need a nice room at a great rate...check in to this hotel ASAP! The rooms are so clean you can see yourself in them! The bed was so comfortable and the sheets where top of the line. I could not have asked for a better room. Save your money and stay here!

This hotel is super-close to the Robinson mall, other shops and tons of restaurants! The room seemed newly done and was very clean and nice. Will definitely stay here next time I make a shopping trip to Pittsburgh! my only complaint - no breakfast, no coffee machine in the room!

I have never stayed in a Red Roof Inn because of the negative stereotypes of motels and alike. I only stayed in this hotel because of the great reviews and I was pleasantly surprised how nice it was. I also stayed in a DoubleTree while in Pittsburgh and paid $200/night and it did not measure up to the Red Roof Inn.

Don't be surprised by the exterior. The rooms look like they came just out of the Hampton, and at a third of the price. The room was clean and comfy with a better than discount bed. Thanks Red Roof.

I was looking for a clean, comfortable, safe room that would be in an area reasonably accessible to the airport and main highways. The Red Roof Inn (Pittsburgh South - Airport) provided everything I required. It was also fairly quiet. The housekeeping service was accommodating. The rates certainly couldn't have been better. All in all, it was an excellent […] choice for what I needed. The only detraction to my stay was that several commercial trucks and trailers were jammed into the hotel parking lot at night, taking up whole sections of parking. The few remaining empty spots were up a steep hill from my room. In addition, trucks were parked in the driving areas of the parking lot, which created some navigation issues. It would really be better for the hotel to require trucks to park in the large lot in front of the hotel, rather than in the narrow parking areas in front of the guest rooms. Overall, this hotel is a great choice for those with limited budgets. Mehr

Sure the place rates pretty good, just remember u can often get noisy neighbours and that can spoil the otherwise nice comfortable stay and that goes fior any hoitel!

I was very impressed with this Red Roof Inn. The pictures don't do it justice at all, the rooms have been totally renovated with a modern decor since the ones on hotels.com were taken. I only stayed at the hotel 1 night to save myself a long drive back to Morgantown, WV after a concert in Pittsburgh's south side and it was the perfect place for my purposes. […] I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay for a night or two near Pittsburgh. I got this hotel mainly because of the price and also most of the reviews confirmed that the room were indeed smoke free room. The promise was not a let down. The hallway just recently painted, so no smell of smoking in the hallway. The paint smell wasn't that strong though. Then the room itself was really nice. Clean and fresh. Cheap and clean. Nice hotel. Stayed one night for an early flight. Looked to updated. Staff was very friendly as well.

This is the first hotel with wood-like flooring which makes so much more sense than carpet! It was freshly painted, had a nice flat screen TV and new stylish bed linens. Best of all was the great price!

Very surprised for a budget hotel.. Don't let the outside fool you...

When we arrived, one of our rooms was not ready for us...fortunately, we had a conference to go to for the evening. The person at the front desk assured us that she would ready the room while we were gone, and she did. A great comfortable stay. I was pleasantly surprised with the nice wood floors and attractive decor.

The hotel should have a shuttle service from and to the airport.

There was a emptied condom wrapper by the bed, hair all of the bedroom floor!

After seeing some of the reviews from others and from the website itself, I thought I was in for a bad night. I needed a place to stay for a seminar and I'm a college student, so I don't have a lot of money. For the price that I paid, the room was excellent. Hard wood floor, nice desk, and a comfortable bed. The TV was a bit outdated but that means […] little to me. It's not a high class hotel but it was nice enough and affordable. The hallway smelled a little like smoke from cigarettes but it was nothing terrible and once I was in my room I no could longer smelled it. Honestly it was a nice place for the week I was there.Good restaurants and a five minute walk to 28X flyer to Pittsburgh 3.25 way better than parking downtown.Good restaurants right by hotel.

Very nice hotel and staff. They were very helpful and understanding. Room was very well cleaned. I would def recommend to others. This hotel was 10 mins from where i needed to go. I will def stay there next time as well.

We stayed in the hotel for 5 nights while house hunting in the area. Location is very convenient for western suburbs and shopping. A good value!

It's not the most fancy place, but it's conveniently located, the staff was friendly, and the rooms were large and clean.

We couldn't initially find the hotel as the sign was missing. Finally, after stumbling upon it, we checked in and had to carry our heavy backs upstairs (no elevator) and were very disappointed in the room. It was clear that they are apparently attempting to refurbish the hotel, but I would not have chosen it had I been aware of this.

I asked Eva the front desk clerk where I should park my uhaul truck. She was extremely rude to say the least. Eva won't cut as a WalMart greeter let alone handle guest at a hotel. The room was fine, clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was not a good location.

I stayed at this hotel for three nights for a work venture. I was very pleased with the service of the hotel and the room I was given. The desk in the room gave me adequate space for the work I needed to get done and spacious enough to relax when I wanted to take a break. Also found that the Mall at Robinson is very close to the hotel for not only shopping […] but great venue to eat. If you don't want to drive, as I did not on the first night, to get dinner you can easily walk to the Denny's that is right next to the rooms. The only downfall to the hotel is some cleanliness issues I found. The window in my room had some slight smudges on them that should have been cleaned when I checked in, as well as the stairwell that led to the second floor did not look the cleanest. It was a little under par for what I typically expect from a hotel cleaning, however my room was excellent for the price. I would stay here time and time again if my job brings me back this way! Room and bathroom was neat and clean, but passage smelt of cigarette smoke.

This would be your choice of hotel, if you are not looking to blow a lot of $$$ on lodging for a night. But, if you are expecting a great experience, stay away from this spot. The front office person was very nice and proactively gave us additional supplies since there were four of us. That was the best part. Other than that, we were set up for disappointment. […] The room air smelt funny and there were a bunch of insects around the room. Also, the rest room door wouldn't lock. Not far from downtown, the hotel is located in a peaceful location and provides its customers with numerous discounts.

I got in late and there was a person at the check in desk to help me and the lobby was open, no having to ring a bell and talk to someone over the phone. Room was large enough with lots of power outlets and a nice desk.
