Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Centre - Amsterdam

Would definately recommend this hotel as it is very much in the centre of Amsterdam - only 5 mins walk from the station. The rooms are modern and very clean and the staff are helpful. Would also recommend the restaurant Humphrey's next door and Cafe Mooy a pub nearby where the staff are very welcoming.

I have stayed at another hotel just up Voorburgwal and by far Inntel Hotel was a huge step up in service and quality. Internet was free (major plus) and the hotel has a very nice lounge area. Being located right next to de Wallen is a major plus for those wishing to have a peep (literally). haha I have stayed at three hotels in Amsterdam and this […] one if overall the best of the three. Good hotel, but eat breakfast out as they charge 15 euro per head, which can be done much more cheap and cozy at some of the bakeries nearby. Water pressure in shower very low. Probably a savings measure, but with the prices you pay, they should provide enough water for the shower. Excellent location. Expensive parking - 50 euros per day !

The hotel is OK but would not go back for the price. Rooms are small and not very clean. I know it is hard to find a good room in amsterdam, I have been there a couple of times but i would go next time for an american franchise. My room was dirty and staff are not the most kind. Nice comfortable hotel, centrally located in Amsterdam and handy for seeing all the sights. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and tidy. Only downside is the rate I had did not include breakfast; but is fair enough if you want to wait and eat out later on in a cafe or something.

This hotel is very good and well worth the money we spent. The location is central, and the hotel is very comfortable - both the lounge area downstairs and the rooms. On a particular night, the room next door to us was quite noisy with what sounded like 'a domestic' and myself and my girlfriend did not get much sleep as a consequence. When the same […] started happening again the next night at 11pm, I immediately asked downstairs at reception if we could be moved and the hotel staff obliged by giving us a key-card to another room for that night. The staff were friendly and accomodating and the facilites were ample. We would definately stay here again - top class, and can't really fault it. Mehr

Stayed here over the weekend of the 17th Feb 2012! We booked 4 rooms, all of which were located next to each other! Very spacious and modern, with all the amnesties one can require for a two nights stay! The lounge/lobby of the hotel is also very nice and cosy to have a drink or just relax! The location of the hotel couldn't have been better - two […] minute walk to Dam Square etc.! Only downside is, that the pillows are a little on the hard side! Great location, close to main station, walking distance to everything. Hotel was comfortable, great wifi. Only negative is that I had a room that looked on to the main street. On Friday and Saturday nights the noise from the bars below first and then trash pick up went on all night until 6am. I would still recommend the hotel, maybe just another room […] location. Mehr

Friendly and helpful staff and lovely surroundigs, would Definately stay here again. Very convenient for surrounding atttractions and close to the drop-off point for ferry buses.

Located close to the station so very convenient for arrival on public transport. The hotel is walking distance to many sights; Dam Square, red light district, canals and right by a tram stop for the museum quarter. There are cafes and restaurants very close, try Humphries next door it was excellent and very good value. Also the Yellow Bike Tour (next […] door but one) was great fun and very informative. You get to see a lot of the city so really recommend it. Hotel staff at reception and in the bar were efficient, friendly and very helpful. Room was nice. Bed comfortable, a good selection of channels on the TV including some in English and the free wifi worked very well. Also tea and coffee making facilities in the room were good and the safe was easy to operate. The room we stayed in was very quiet. I can't think of any negatives for this hotel. The hotel was clean and in good condition. The room was comfortable. The hotel was well located near restaurants and cafe's. I didn't have the breakfast buffet as there are good places for breakfast next door that are half the price. The lobby area was nice. The fireplace was nice to warm up to.

Convenient location, just a short walk from Central Station and a few blocks from Dam Square. Clean rooms with all the amenities, superb wireless (@ no additional charge), very nice breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. I'll stay here next time I visit Amsterdam.

We were very pleased with all aspects of this hotel. It had recently snowed, but the walkways were clear and the 5 minute walk with our luggage from the central train station was easy. The location is superb, easy walk from central station. The hotel is in a pedestrian street that conects to the pedestrian shopping street, with lots of places to eat and coffee shops, not bad neighborhood to walk late night, taxis and tram stop within 1 minute walking. Dam square 5 min pleasant walk Great staff. I walways arrive very early to Amsterdam, […] around 6:00am, and they always let me check- in at that time. Walking distance from everywhere... Loads of lovely shops around :) The bed is so comfy. ONLY thing the shower is sooo bad....

Close central railwaystation and downtown.

Booked three nights here on the strength of other reviws and wasn't dissapointed. Very friendly staff in a very clean, well managed hotel. Bar staff happy to help with restaurant reccomendations and gave us a discount voucher for Humphrey's next door to the hotel, which i'd highly reccomend. Try the coffee shop on the corner ran by Dave - which is […] actually a coffee/bagel place, not what's commonly known as a 'coffee shop' in Amsterdam! In De Wildeman a few doors from the hotel is a great Brown Cafe (which are traditional Amsterdam pubs) - and serves a huge selection of great beers. The hotel is walking distance from the train station and you can get trams nearby to the Museum district etc. Mehr

Stayed at Inntel in Jan 12. Found the location very central to everything, only a 7 mins walk from Amsterdam Central station. Coffee shops, restaurants, shops are all really nearby so you can get about by foot so no expensive taxis! Room was gorgeous lovely layout, clean and modern! Definetly stay here again :}

The yays - this is THE location to be as I don't remember even taking a tram to go anywhere - shopping, dining, canal rides, museums, etc. Its tucked away in a cozy, quiet neighborhood, but accessible to everything. Front desk is very helpful and sincere. The Nays - Bathroom is super tiny, even by european standards. But the main problem is that the […] housekeeping is lazy and terrible. Towels were not picked up, sheets were not even dusted, forget changed after 3 days (per policy), carpet was not vacuumed, bath tub was not cleaned....I could go on. I had to complain twice in 4 days. Also, I left some expensive make-up in the bathroom by mistake while checking out and when I called, they said there was nothing to be found. The housekeeping is singularly the reason I ding this hotel. If you are a clean freak, forget this place. But if you are flexible and location is top priority, go for it. Mehr

while the location was not in the centre of all the points of interest, it was close enough to the canal boat centre which allowed great sightseeing

This hotel was very nice. Close to the train station and plenty of shopping and restaurants. I travelled with my family of 3 but the room was for 2 persons. The hotel insisted to charge for an extra bed, extra person, and ultimately an upgrade to a larger room. Recommend that you call ahead to confirm the number in your party. Hotel very convienient to Central Station and central Amsterdam. Staff at Reception very friendly and helpful, Hotel rooms are very clean with good facilities but very small, too small infact to want to stay again. Overall ok to stay one or two nights

Great location and very clean hotel. Really nice bar/lounge area and staff very helpful. Rooms not huge but very clean and modern. One thing to note, ask for a room in the main part of the hotel as otherwise it's two lift rides and rooms can be slightly smaller in older area. Would definitely recommend and we will visit again.

We were very comfortable in this hotel with plenty of room and one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. It was very conveniently located. The staff was very helpful in giving us recommendations for dinner and even made the reservations for us. The lounge was nice with complimentary Internet service which was very helpful. The location of the hotel is great as it is only less than 10 mins walk to the central station and there are tram 2,5 passing by the hotel (a stop right beside it). Room size is decent as well, the only thing is that we had two single bed rather than a double so annoying as it keep slip away durin the night. Sound prove to the street noise to a bearable […] level though not completely sound prove. The other thing is that with the high price of the room no breakfast was included. Good rate, great location, comfortable rooms. Three things to gripe about (1) during our stay someone vomited on the walkway between the two buildings and for a 3 night stay it smelled horrible, I'm not sure the hotel did much to fix this problem; (2) there is a surreptitious 1 euro "war child" donation on your bill, if you don't opt out of this donation […] at the beginning of your stay you can't get out of it when you check out; however, the hotel never told us about it when we checked in. When we checked out they just said that we had to pay our "taxes," and then levied this "war child" thing on us. It's a dishonest business practice. This brings me to (3) hotels.com charges you a tax, but the hotel also charges you for a tax for your stay, resulting in a double taxation which you have to pay additionally out of pocket when you check out. My boyfriend and i stayed for 4 nights 11/12/2011-15/12/2011 at this hotel. It is in a fantastic location less than a 5 mins walk from the train station and ideally located and within walking distance of all the major attractions. The hotel is absoloutely beautiful we stayed in a delux twin room it was spotless and for the short time we were their it […] was cleaned 3 out of the 4 days we were their. We booked a room at his hotel based on other travellers' positive reviews that we read on-line, and we weren't disappointed! The hotel is a five-minute walk from the central station and it's located near everything you could possibly want to see in Amsterdam. The hotel staff was very pleasant when we checked in. The room and bathroom were bigger than […] most European hotels. My boyfriend and I were able to move comfortably around the room without feeling like we were stepping on each other's toes! The bed felt like we were sleeping on a cloud, and the room was very quiet during the day and night. I also love how the bathtub was deep - and the hotel provided complimentary bath crystals, which I used three of the four nights we were at the hotel! My only complaint would be the housekeeper who cleaned our room. On one of the days when we returned to our room, we saw the bathroom had been cleaned and restocked, but the comforter and pillows had been messily thrown over the bed. When I pulled back the comforter, I found the sheets hadn't been changed and my damp towel, which I'd accidentally left on the bed in the morning, was still there. Aside from that, the four nights we spent at the Inntel Hotel were great, and I would recommend anyone traveling to Amsterdam to stay there! Mehr

Hotel was only a few blocks walk from the train station and in a nice location - in a pedestrian area with a few restaurants and bars just off a major street. Easy walking distance to dam square, Anne Frank house, red light district, etc. Hotel itself had good appearance, seemed safe, was very quiet, and was in good shape. I didn't try the bar or breakfast […] area. Room was pretty small, but as expected, and better than comparably-priced hotels I stayed in in Rome and Paris. I would definately stay there again if I were ever to go back to Amsterdam. Mehr

Excellent location, 10 mins walk from Central Station, though not easy to find so take a map! Good quality 4 star, nice room, good bathroom.

We very much enjoyed our stay--our room was lovely (when we arrived, we were told we were given an upgrade, so I'm not sure how big a "standard" room is), clean, and very comfortable. The location couldn't have been better--a 10 minute walk from the train station, and right in the middle of the main historical & shopping areas. The hotel was very convenient to Centraal Station, so it was easy to walk with the suitcase to and from. It was close to everything I was interested in and was in a nice area. Only two negatives ... First, the front desk was crowded when I checked-in. But, they added staff to the counter pretty quickly, and it didn't really take that long. Second, this hotel also owns the building across the alley, and it is part of the hotel. To get there from the lobby, you go up to the second floor, and then go down the hall through over […] a pedestrian overpass that crosses the alley, and then to another elevator. Kinda weird, but again didn't seem like that big of a deal. Otherwise, the rooms are clean and quiet, the lobby is nice, and I recommend it. Mehr
