Overall clealiness was good, however room smelled of cigarette smoke and was a non-smoking room. Room was very small - thank goodness there was only one of me!

I can't really say anything bad about this hotel. My friend and I were so surprised at just how close it was to Universal; the close distance of the park really helped us, as we didn't have to wake up as early as we thought we would have to, in order to arrive there on time. Our beds were very comfortable and it is very easy to feel safe here. The continental […] breakfast was awesome; there are a lot of options and it stays available for the perfect amount of time. People working at the hotel made sure everything stayed clean in the breakfast area, and made sure all the different foods stayed available. They were also very aware of the shuttle schedule to Universal, and made announcements so no one would miss the shuttle if they were taking it. This is a great hotel! This Hotel is fine, nothing special. The staff was friendly, we had to move to three different rooms. The first one was on the third floor and the room smelled of smoke and the window lock had been removed. The window opened all the way(about 2 feet with no screens or bars), with a 7yr old and a 2yr old you could see how dangerous this could be. The […] front desk assured me the usaully have locks on the windows but moved us to another room. The second room the bed had a large stain on the side of the mattress and wall behind. The front desk clerk came up looked at it and move us to a third room. The third room was nice and a little larger than the first two(621). My only real complaint is that the bathrooms are painfully small. You can not shut the door unless you squeezed between the vanity and the side of the toilet which is about a foot wide. So if you don't mind leaving the door open while you use the bathroom or pretending you Gumby when you get out of the shower it's fine. Giving two kids bath's was too challenging, so for that reason alone I would not return. The bed was comfortable! The hotel had a nice breakfast but was a little busy first thing in the morning when everyone is trying to catch the bus to the parks. We did not use the pool, but it was small. Mehr

This hotel is very close to Universal and Sea World. Disney is a bit of a distance, but there is a shuttle bus that can take you. The bus was old and dirty looking, and the ride took too long. We stopped at several hotels to pick up and drop off more people, and it was crowded. We had to tell the driver what shuttle time we were going to take on the […] way back. Several people told the driver a later time, but took the earlier shuttle because of the rain. We almost didn't have a seat on the way back. Breakfast was free and it was very good, but way too crowded. The room was small, but comfortable and clean. We got an excellent rate from Hotels.com, so it was definitely worth it. I'm surprise that this hotel is a 2 star hotel the ones that have higher stars are that great..... Close to everything universal wet and wild and island of adventure ext we come back to Orlando we will definetly stay here again

I really enjoyed our staying at the Hamptom inn Universal South. I will give this hotel a 5 stars,but the sofa bed was uncomfortable so 4 stars for now . for vacation is the perfect location.

We absolutely loved this hotel. The people were so nice and the breakfast was perfect before going to the park. They have a shuttle that goes to Universal and picks up from a couple of hotels but it didn't take long to get there at all. Maybe 15 minutes on the shuttle so you had plenty of time. It's about a $10 cab ride (including tip) to Universal. They also have a free shuttle that is really convenient. Beds are super comfy, would definitely stay again. Have yet to have a bad hampton inn experience.

This review will be a repeat, as I had 2 separate bookings. ********** I booked a single non-smoking queen room for myself and my husband. While the room was quite small, we did not mind as it was very clean, modern and comfortable. Moreover, we spent the majority of our time at Universal Studios/Islands of adventure (short walk to #37 bus that goes […] right to the park ~5 min), Wet 'n' Wild (10 min walk), SeaWorld & Aquatica (short walk to #8 bus that goes right to the parks ~15 min). We bought a 7-day bus pass to save on fares and avoid pricey parking at the parks. We stayed 1 night, then another 2 nights later in the week. Both rooms were identical despite being on different floors (5th and 7th). I wish we had booked sooner and stayed at this hotel for our entire 10-night stay in Florida, but unfortunately there was no availability on the other 7 nights. The breakfast every morning was great; it included the staples such as coffee, juice, cereal, yogurt, fruit, bagels, warm waffles and pastries. As a pleasant bonus, the warm breakfast varied every day (ie. scrambled eggs & bacon one day, cheese omelets and sausages the other, as well as ham & egg frittata and homefries on another). It was available from 6-10am, and while there was a nice sized dining area, it could be very crowded at times. I found the breakfast staff to be very friendly and professional despite rude behaviour and comments from certain guests. There were plenty of restaurants within a short walk or drive. Parking was free and plentiful at the hotel. There were tons of mini golf and gift shops around and the mall and outlet stores were a short drive or bus ride away. I forgot my sunglasses in the main floor public washrooms and found them at the front desk the following day, as they had been found and turned-in by the friendly cleaning staff. First of all, I am very satisfied with what I got from the bargain price. They say, you get what you paid for, but I feel that I got an extra. We just used the hotel to rest after enjoying Orlando so a nice bed is sufficient, but we got Hampton's great service. Although, I have to comment on the general condition of the hotel; it is an old one and compared […] to the other Hamptons, this needs renovations, but that could cause the price to sky rocket so I'm torn on this one. This is an older Hampton property. Breakfast is OK and rooms are adequate.

Very nice staff, hotel maintenance was great and can't beat it for the price we paid. Very close to Universal and the continental breakfast was hot and fresh.

The hotel was clean and staff was very friendly. The breakfast was good and coffee was great. The beds are very comfortable. The room is very small footage although well appointed. Fine for a couple but family may feel cramped

The hotel was nice, but was not what we were expecting. #1: There is NOT a hot tub. #2: There is no smoking allowed on the property. #3: When we stayed there, the hotel was overcrowded, to the point of not being able to eat breakfast on site as promised. The good news is, we did not ever hear any neighbors, and there were 3 bus fulls of teenage girls […] staying at the hotel, mostly on our floor and we never heard a peep through the walls, which is amazing actually. Very polite staff and clean rooms. I did feel safe there. The hotel is very close to all the major attractions including the outlet malls, but beware there is no pretty view from the hotel. Was pretty happy with the hotel except the bed was not comfortable. they also charged my debit card $40 to cover " incidentals" we have been home for 5 days now and the charge is still pending on my account. We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights and it was a fairly nice hotel. The location was nice, not to far from Disney and close to Universal. They do have a shuttle to Epcot and you can hop to the other parks from there with Disney transportation. It runs 3 times in the morning and 3 times in the evening for return which is great! The pool was nice and […] well maintained, the beds were comfortable, the room was not to small, Ok for 2 adults and 2 kids. The only problem I had with the hotel was that the toilet stunk really bad like it had not been cleaned in awhile and the shower curtain would not stay closed and it was a little tight even thought it was an extended curtain rod. All and all it was a good stay, not bad for the money if you are only there at night. The breakfast was Ok, hot food that changed everyday, bagels, toast, fruit, cereal, juice, milk and coffee. We stayed in Orlando an extra day, due to bad weather on one of the days we planed to visit a park. We had friends staying in the Hampton Inn Universal South, so we moved there from a more expensive hotel. The Hampton Inn offered the same services and a free breakfast for less.

We booked/stayed 3 nights. It wasn't as nice as most Hampton Inns. The breakfast was good, but really crowded--there aren't many tables in the dining area. One of the ladies who worked to put food out and keep the area clean wasn't very nice. I understand that there were a lot of people, but slamming cabinet doors beneath the food and slamming the tongs […] when they weren't placed back in the "correct" location was ridiculous. I appreciate the fast pace, but she was just rude. The room wasn't as big as I would have preferred for a family of four. The room/furniture is a bit dated. The TV is an older tube TV. The coffee that was available 24 hours was amazingly tasty. The front desk staff was extremely nice. Mehr

The Wyndham Resort Orlando is the Bomb! Absolutely Fabulous for anyone wanting to getaway! My husband and I enjoyed all the amenities, the staff, the restaurant, the bedroom balcony view and most of all......THAT WONDERFUL POOL AREA! There is eveything you need and want in a quiet, but comfortable location, including a bar & grille, spa, sauna. and […] a pool table. We will definitely be back realllllll soon. The entire hotel staff gives the best customer service. The receptionist made it her job to call to ensure that my room was comfortable and that I had eveything I needed. I was greeted everyday with a warm smile and every morning with a hot breakfast. Even my twelve year old son commented on how comfortable the beds were. Thank you!!!

The Hampton Inn South is located within a mile of the Universal Orlando parks. The hotel is clean and breakfast is included - a big plus for me. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom is usually not a problem but I guess I got a bad one this trip. The screws for the shower curtain rod were coming out of the wall causing the curved rod to point […] down instead of out. As a result, the shower curtain would not stay closed and would stick to your body while showering. The drain was slow in the tub and the sink. Maintenance fixed the sink and the tub but then the toilet overflowed. They came back right away and took care of it all. Overall, the stay was good. Mehr

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. It was extremely good value for money which included a good breakfast and pool. It was about 10 mins from the Universal Parks and 25 mins from Disney. Although we had a car they also had shuttle buses that took you to some of the parks. Great location. Front desk very friendly. Hotel needs a new face lift. The air condition was leaking water into the carpet and the bath tub had black strains that could not be removed. The molding was loose in the bathroom. I haven't stayed in a Hampton Inn with problems like this ever.

é a terceira vez que ficamos neste hotel, ADORAMOS a localizacao, otima. Sempre gostei muito do cafe da manha, nao é muito grande em opções mais de muito boa qualidade, porem decaiu um pouco, ainda bom, mas já não se torna um diferencial para mim. O hotel fica muito lotado e o cafe congestionado, alguns dias sem mesas, tivemos que fazer nosso prato […] e subir para o quarto para comer. O quarto muito bom, o carpet fica um pouco sujo, se andamos descalço, no banho vemos o quão preto ficou nosso pé. Fiz algumas compras pela amazon, o hotel recebeu e me entregou sem problemas. Tem vários funcionarios que falam portugues, para quem quiser tem transporte gratuito para parques da disney, da universal, para tampa, para outlets.... serviço completo. Recomendo. Mehr

O hotel dispõe de internet e impressão gratis, café da manhã farto, porém em local apertado. No geral, muito bom o custo benefício.

Quarta vez que me hospedo no Hampton e sempre fico satisfeita. Hotel confortável, bem localizado e com café da manhã americano, mas que satisfaz em relação aos outros que nem este tipo oferecem! Recomendo sempre!

Me hospedei entre os dias 20 a 24/08/11, onde segue de forma resumida minhas considerações: Recepção: Muito tranqüilo pessoal simpático e atencioso; Café da manha: Bom, 2 tipos de suco, cafe, pães diversos... (Não tem queijo e presunto, compre no super, pegue as coisas do hotel e coma no quarto) muito mais tranqüilo pois sempre tem muito movimento […] de turistas. Ingressos: O hotel possui no saguão do hotel uma pessoa que vende ingressos para os diversos parques vale a pena consultar os preços sempre. Encomendas: O hotel recebe suas compras com antecedência de até 3 dias antes de sua entrada, então se você quiser antecipar suas compras vale a pena. Estacionamento: Aqui para mim foi a pior coisa deste hotel ele possui poucas vagas na frente e laterais o qual obriga você a estacionar o carro nos fundos, e ai é que todos devem cuidar!!! O hotel só possui câmeras na frente e lateral e nenhuma no fundo... Tive meu carro aberto durante a noite e levaram algumas coisas que tinha, mas nada de muito valor. Então se for estacionar nos fundos do hotel não deixem nada de valor a amostra (isso inclui a ventosa do GPS que fica grudada no vidro). Até porque eles não se responsabilizam, por furtos (até tem uma placa falando disso) pena que vi só depois de roubarem as coisas.... Localização: Perfeita próximo da Universal, Premium outlet e diversos restaurantes e atrações... Mehr
