...hier werden alle Erwartungen sogar noch übertroffen. Die Kombination aus rustikal-gemütlichem Ambiente und modernem-strengen Design ist hier mehr als gelungen. Und das Frühstück ist ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen.

Hotel verfuegt über eine wunderschöne rustikale Lobby mit Kamin, die bei schönem Wetter für beste Sonnenuntergangsstimmung sorgt. Zimmer sind nett und geräumig. Jedes Zimmer verfügt übe einen eigenen Gas-Kamin, der für behagliche Atmosphäre sorgt. Das Personal war überaus freundlich und kompetent. Das Hotel verfügt auch über eines der besten Restaurants […] der Stadt, welches auch sehr stark frequentiert war. Die Lage ist nicht unbedingt zentral, aber in der Nähe des Space Needle und der Fähre sowie des Aquariums. Uns hat es wirklich gut dort gefallen und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt Mehr

die lage des hotels ist traumhaft und für seattle einzigartig direkt an der waterfront gelegen. leider profitieren hauptsächlich die zimmer mit seeblick von der tollen lage. die zimmer mit city-view führen direkt auf die straße und die schienen auf welchen die ganze nacht über die langen güterzüge vom hafen fahren. die fenster könnten geöffnet werden […] aber auf grund der enormen lautstärke ist dann kaum mehr an schlaf zu denken! also lieber etwas mehr fürs seeblickzimmer investieren und einen traumurlaub mit perfektem service und tollem restaurant geniessen! Das Hotel verfuegt nicht ueber eine Klimaanlage. Das Zimmer wird warm durch den Kamin und kuehl durch den Ventilator, der sehr laut ist. Man kann den Kamin programmieren, wie lange er "brennen" soll, aber die Temperatur kann nicht reguliert werden. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, aber sehr unterschiedlich in seiner Kompetenz. Die Sicht vom Zimmer […] ist auf der See-Seite toll (in der Regel mit Aufpreis) und man fuehlt sich wie auf einem Schiff, auf der anderen Seite recht gewoehnlich. Mehr

The room was really rustic and cute. Great shower. We had room on water that was cool. Highly recommend hotel. Restaurant was good in hotel as well

we had a lovely time at the Edgewater. it is a bit farther out than other downtown hotels but the location on the waterfront is worth it, especially when the sun came out. The room was lovely (really comfy 4-poster bed, huge bathroom, all the ameneties a gril could want!). Balcony overlooking the waterfront was a bonus, we could see Mt Rainier from […] ours - all in all a great experience! Mehr

Very nice hotel with very good service. Prices at restaurant a little hefty but the food was good. Would recommend to friend and would stay again.

The hotel is right on the water with great views and the restaurant and bar were great. The room was very nice but was also very warm. The way the heating and cooling is set up the fireplace comes on at a certain temperature and it gets warm quickly. Also for the amount of money spent and the other amenities of the hotel, I would have thought the bed […] would have been more comfortable. Besides that this is still one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. Mehr

Overall a great stay and would stay again. Would definitely opt for water side room. The restaurant was great.

Be ready to pay $40 to park. Our room wasn't ready when we got there we had to wait 2 hours until it was. They kind of herd you around from parking area to front desk to bell hop, not a very homie feeling.

We enjoyed our stay at the Edgewater as it was the location of the event that we were attending - a family wedding. Just took the elevator to the event and home again. The room we booked was on the water, very relaxing in the afternoon to watch the boats come and go and the seals in the bay. However, the room was small, the coffeemaker was tucked away […] in a cabinet and not easily accessible and there was no other place to put it to make coffee other than on the floor. We would suggest getting rid of the big TV console cabinet and replace it with a smaller dresser and wall mount the tv above. Mehr

amazingly relaxing king bed water view room bath was just like the pics george and shantel were helpful setting up room and amenities prior to our arrival little put off by what seemed like really expensive parking rate

Thoroughly enjoyed my 5 night stay at Edgewater! I admit that I was feeling a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews, but I can emphatically say that my room and the service were both impeccable! I can only assume that those who complained enjoy staying in sterile, new steel and concrete locations. What you get with Edgewater is a feeling […] of warmth, of comfort and old world luxury. Our room was spacious, clean, and beautifully appointed. It was a true pleasure to be welcomed "home" in the evening by beautiful views, and crackling fire place (the fire is a very clever gas design which looks and feels like a log fire, and is climate controlled in combination with the rooms airconditioning). One of the few places to escape the noise of the Seattle waterfront, and well worth the money. The staff in the restaurant and bar were wonderful - friendly and attentive without being annoyingly so. Great food too - I could have eaten a dozen plates of the bar's mussels! I would not hesitate to stay there again - or to recommend to anyone who is sick of staying in sterile, cold, overly modern boxes! Mehr

Edgewater SEA, what a fantastic. Loved the Six Seven Hotel Restaurant, would definitely dine and stay here again. Everyone was so helpful during check in, stay and fun walking suggestions. Love being so close to Pikes Market and great Irish Pub next door, that just opened up. Happy Hour is outstanding! Lastly, highly recommend the Macrina Bakery & Cafe […] three blocks up the hill. Great hotel, great staff, great location. Recommend anyone to get the water view. Walking distance of everything.

The Edgewater is a real place - not a faceless chain that is like every other place you might stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. Food in restaurant is exceptional. A great place to stay!

If not for the great location, this place would be a so-so Holiday Inn. No screen on the water-view window in our room. Indifferent staff. Ridiculous charge for parking. Downtown Seattle is great and the Edgewater was a convienent place to sleep. Definately won't stay there again.

Noisy hotel

Though the room didn't seem like much when we got there, it turned out to be super cozy. We checked in and asked front desk for a dinner recommendation and she offered to make reservations for us. Dinner was great and after walking back in the rain, getting into our room, turning on the fireplace and relaxing while listening to the wind and rain pounding […] on the window as the water crashed against the pier made for a pleasant nights sleep in a very comfy bed. Waterside room is definately worth it, breakfast was awesome. Mehr

A friend from the east coast came to visit, so we spent two nights in Seattle. We both loved being right on the water. The hotel is built on a pier and we were able to open our window, look down and see the water. Some people were even feeding gulls from their window. We also had a lovely view of Elliot Bay and could watch the ferries coming and going. […] The location was also great in that it was only 5 blocks to the Pike Place Market and we were able to walk to the Space Needle and The Ducks with no problem. The decor is NW lodge. We also enjoyed the fireplace in the room. The rooms are a bit small, but the bathroom had been redone recently. The hotel did seem a bit isolated when it came time to find restaurants, but we ate breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and both were delicious. On Friday night there was a lively crowd in the bar. I would definitely stay there again. Mehr

why would have a mountain lodge theme in a hotel downtown on the water, wierd. Lose the bark already.

I stay at hotels around the world. I stumbled on this one. It ranks as a top hotel for me. I'm a tough critic. This place was unique and classy.

I have only two complaints. The lighting in the dining room is verry dim and the print in the menu is very small. Flashlights and magnifying glasses should be provided after sundown. All parking is by valet service and is very expensive for both visitors and hotel guests.

We were very pleased with the hotel staff, location, and rooms.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for a long-weekend getaway. We had both never been to Seattle before, and were not disappointed with the location of this hotel. It is a short walking distance to a lot of different tourist locations. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, and they offered a shuttle service once every hour to take us anywhere […] within a mile. We had a few small issues...one was that we we came back to the hotel around 3pm to take a short nap, and were awoken by a house cleaner that was insisting that she forgot to clean something and needed to come in asap. We told her that the room looked great (it had already been cleaned) but she was insisting that she forgot something and needed to come in. It was a little strange. One thing that we found a little alarming (but had nothing to do with the hotel) was that the hotel called a taxi for us before dinner. 2 taxis showed up at the same time, so we got in the first one. On the way out of the driveway, the two taxi drivers rolled down their windows and got into a loud, cursing arguement. It kind of freaked us out, but again it had nothing to do with the hotel. Our room was very pretty. Yes, we did hear the train come by but it wasn't a big deal and didn't keep us up. We dined at the restaurant in this hotel...it was a bit pricey, but the food was good. All in all, we would definitely stay here again. Mehr

So my wife and I decided to have a special night out of dinner and stay overnight downtown. We chose The Edgewater for the this. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. and we would definitely recommend it and consider staying again. You just cannot beat sleeping out over the water and the semi rustic feel of the hotel combined with the updates like […] the amazing bathrooms make it quite charming. We also got to see a great brother/sister duo perform in the Six/Seven lounge that evening as well as a really nice breakfast in the restaurant the next morning enjoying the spectacular view. I would likely have given it a 5 star rating if it were not for the fact that our fireplace in the room did not work. Real bummer for the romantic aspect. The other complaint I would have would be the condition of some of the carpeting in the hallways leading to the room. We were on the 3rd floor and could not help but notice the thread-bare tattered edges on some of the carpeting. We also took the bus downtown since parking for the hotel is pretty outrageous. That kind of added o the adventure though. Mehr

Great location- close to the "touristy" stuff if that's what you're looking for. We had a lovely waterfront room (I surprised my husband and he was not disappointed!) and the bathroom was SWEET! We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and all we can think is that there was a problem behind the scenes because we saw very little of our server and waited […] a long time between courses (unusually long). The place was no where near busy. I also had a hair on my salad plate and was given a new salad, but still paid full price for my meal. For the fairly steep price for our meal, the service and taste was lacking. I would definitely stay there again, but would go to another part of town for dinner! Mehr

We have stayed in the hotel before, and being here again was like "coming home." The rooms over-looking the water are lovely and spacious. The fireplace adds a welcoming touch. The car attendant helped us with our luggage when we arrived and put all of our luggage in the car when we left. He even remembered where it all went. My wife and I spent 5 days in the Seattle area and picked the Edgewater Inn as our Hotel of Choice. Overall we were very pleased with the location, ammenities, and quality of the staff. The recent renovation was above par. The restaurant and bar were exceptional. The only dissatisfaction we had was with the clean up of our room by the housekeeper. My daughters and I had a girls weekend and we could not have been happier with our choice to stay at The Edgewater. The upgrade to the "waterfront room" was most important. Their room service is great. We had breakfast in the room each morning because it was just that good. Eating by the fireplace in the room and watching as the seagulls & boats fly […] past our window was really amazing. The staff seems sincerely happy and they are most helpful friendly. Mehr

It has a nice setting on the water and loved the fireplace in the room. Room is small - and hotel is old. Service was OK. Would not stay there again with the many other choices available in DT Seattle for the cost.

I would strongly suggest if you are a light sleeper do not stay on the city side of this hotel.

We spend the weekend in Seattle every few months to get away (only 2 hours away). We had always wanted to stay at the Edgewater and finally did. We made sure to book a waterfront premium room. Check in was easy, but when we arrived in the room, we found that the previous people had eaten snacks from the mini bar and had replaced the empty bags so that […] the maid wouldn't notice. It wasn't the price (even though they were overpriced), it was the princple of the situation. And when we called the front desk, they all but laughed at us. The bed was uncomfortable, we couldn't get the heat to shut off, and we were charged for 2 nights of parking, even though we stayed for only one night. When I bought the 2 nights charge of mandatory valet parking to the desk clerk, she said she would fix it and print me a new receipt. As I walked out the door, I noticed the extra charge was still on there, so I had to go back to the front desk again. We did enjoy pulling up the 2 leather chairs to the window and watching the ferries come and go. But next time we'll stay at the Grand Hyatt , which is close to the same price, closer to restaurants and shopping, and not still hung up on when the Beatles stayed there. Mehr

This is a wonderful hotel with great rooms, a courteous helpful staff and an excellent bar/restaurant on the premises. It is located centrally to everything you would want to do while visiting the city.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful bar, beautiful lobby. Room had vaulted ceilings, big flat screen and a fireplace (LOVE THAT!) The bathroom was tiny, but really nice with a modern & cool slate walled shower with no door. The beds were nice and comfy, but not addicting (i've slept in some I wanted to never get out of). I would give this hotel 5 stars if could […] play "God" and control the neighborhood noise - I was woken up to a train across the street (Had a waterfront room but had the windows open) and seagulls squawking for their breakfast. :( Mehr

The hotel employees were very nice and helpful. I think the only complaints I have about our stay would be that the beds weren't as comfortable as I wanted them to be. And there was no switch in the bathroom to turn on the fan. The room was very clean and we had a great view of the space needle so we saw the new years firework show. Its only a 10-15 […] minute walk to pike place. We loved the set up of the bathroom. Loved the rock tile walls. We would deifinitely stay there again. It's a little on the pricey side though:( So it's like a once a year hotel to stay at. Mehr

The hotel was great, the staff was attentive and the room was beautiful. The only thing I would be careful of is they stuck me with a $40 valet tab that I was expecting. There was no mention of it until the bill the next day.

I booked this hotel because it was a special night for me and my guy. The hotel made it that much more special. Our room had an unobstructed view of the sound, with a balcony for a cozy cup of morning coffee. Only two really minor complaints- our fireplace had a hard time working and the lounge downstairs closed at 11 and not many bars within walking […] distance. But other than that, I loved this place and my guy was definitely surprised. Mehr
