Hotel Metropole - Venedig

Wenn das Zimmer nach hinten zum Garten liegt, ist es sehr ruhig. Im Bad fehlt eine Ablagemöglichkeit. Die Lage ist super: alle Schiffe und Fähren verkehren vom Anleger in 100 Meter Entfernung. Und wer im Sternerestaurant essen möchte, sollte schon bei der Buchung des Zimmers einen Tisch reservieren. Sonst gibts absolut nichts zu meckern

Schönes romantisch Hotel an sehr zentraler Lage. Top Gastronomie im Hotel zu fairen Preisen. Bei empfindlichem Rücken jedoch stören die alten Betten etwas.

great hotel beautiful antiques and decor. Breakfast very expensive and TV's and electronics need updating. Very well located and close to all shopping hotels and main sights. Highly recommend but expensive.

We loved our stay at the Metropole. It is unique,eccentric and wonderful.Staff were friendly and helpful - from the desk to the behind the scenes room staff all made our stay an extremely enjoyable one.The Garden at the back of the Hotel is a delight for breakfast -or to relax during the day -even in the unfortunately extreme humidity during our stay.You […] could easily spend a morning enjoying the cases of collectibles and other ancient items which fill every corner of this magical place.Our room was larger than we expected in Venice and although we would have liked a view these dont come easily in Venice. Our room overlooked a canal but to see it you have to climb on the window and look straight down. This did not interfere with our enjoyment of our otherwise lovely room complete with a dozen Roses. The Hotel is dark with shadowed lighting which we found wonderfully atmospheric and appropriate to Venice but if you are of a modern,minimalist frame of mind this might not be to your liking..The area immediately outside the Hotel is very crowded all the time but this is a price probably worth paying for the location and accessibility - particularly with luggage. We didn't find it a problem once inside the cool and quiet of the Hotel.Overall we loved this Hotel and it added greatly to our enjoyment of Venice. Would love to return one day. Mehr

I could not have been MORE pleased with this hotel! It was everything I imagined a hotel in Venice to be AND MORE! Be sure to take advantage of their free excursions. Rely on the staff for recommendations-you WON'T be sorry. I fully plan on returning!

The Metropole Hotel is ideally located on the water near many vaporetto (water bus) stops, gondola station, and within a few minutes walk from San Marco Square. It is a beautiful hotel with excellent service and a wonderful small outdoor dock with a seating area on the small canal adjacent to the hotel where water taxis deposit guests. We ended our […] evenings here before returning to our room - most relaxing. Breakfast was not included but is available for an additional 20 euros. We did not use the dining facilities here as there are so many wonderful outdoor restaurants within an easy walk but did enjoy a nightcap in the bar one evening. Nice Photos shame about the actual room. As my husband descibed it it was like staying in his Grandmas bedroom. Not because of all the beuatiful antiques(one of the reasons we chose this hotel) but because it was old, faded and boring.

Although this hotel is conveniently located, the service is lacking. Most of all, we were attacked by bed bugs, and the hotel tried to tell us that mosquitoes had bitten us. We never saw a mosquito the whole time we were in Italy, and we slept with the windows closed. The front desk staff came across as condescending, and the concierge was less than […] helpful. We had trouble with many of the reservations the hotel made for us. Whether going to Murano or to a local restaurant, the Metropole tends to refer guests to more expensive establishments making me wonder if they were getting a referral fee. Mehr

Exceptional hotel and we've stayed in a few! Not cheap but well worth pushing the boat (gondola even) out . Close to everything "must do" in Venice and the water bus from the airport stops right outside. Staff couldn't do enough for us and deserve particular praise. Great bar (and bar staff) for that pre/post dinner drink. Will go back!

If you like antiques and old buildings this hotel is for you.Lovely convenient location with excellent helpful staff.Expensive but so is Venice

We had a family room on the second floor. It was full of antiques which gave it a degree of charm while still having a good clean modern bathroom and plenty of room in the beds. The staff were very pleasant and we completely enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would go back despite not being able to turn off the air conditioning in the room at night. […] The room was not ready until about 4 but we just spent the time seeing more of the delights of Venice! My husband and I loved this hotel. Hotel was elegantly decorated, comfortable room, breakfast was good. Convenient location. Great service. We had an outstanding meal at the restaurant MET in the hotel. Everything a 5 star hotel can offer. We would definitely go back to this hotel if we visit Venice again.

The hotel is in a very convenienct location to all of the historical sights and restaurants and shopping. The front desk personnel were very friendly and assisted us in a tour to the Murano Island glassworks and to our ship departure location for our cruise. This was our first trip to Venice and arriving by water taxi that pulled up to a dock off the lobby was the perfect entrance to this fantasy-land but real city. Beautiful Hotel. In the heart of Venice. Strongly recommend. They have a nice breakfast(included) in a very quite garden. The hotel is very elegant. They provide a free shuttle water taxi to Murano Island. The hotel has a lot of history behind it. You will not regret it.

The hotel is a living museum of Venetian history and culture. It was wonderful to stay in Vivaldi's backyard. The amenities and location justify the price.

I have just returned from an excellent weekend in Venice with my partner. We took a water taxi from the airport direct to the hotel’s private dock. This was a memorable experience and the perfect start to our break; it was expensive, but it was worth every penny. On arrival at the Metropole the reception staff were welcoming and friendly. Our room […] was brilliant. Each room in the hotel has a different theme, ours had Chinese theme. Superb silk panelling on the walls. We also had a small terrace with views of the canal and over the lagoon. Breakfast was served in the garden. This was a real treat in the centre of the city. The selection was impressive, and the quality of product was first class. Special mention to the breakfast staff who were attentive, friendly and funny. It was the ideal start to the day. Location-wise the hotel is well located a short walk from St Mark’s Square. The hotel probably isn’t for those who like their hotels corporate and sterile. There is bags of character and the standard of service make it worth everyone of it’s five stars. If you like pretentious rude service don’t stay here. If, however, you enjoy efficient, friendly service where the staff have personality and actually remember your name then this is the place for you! We shall definitely return! Mehr

The whole place could use a renovation of HVAC system and more

We arrived in Venice quite late in the evening. By the time we arrived at the Metropole, we were quite tired and hot. The staff were very helpful and the check-in process was easy and fast. They had even upgraded our room. The room itself was fantastic. Very well decorated and comfortable. The included breakfast was quite good with a nice variety of […] items. It was a great stay. Hotel lindo, super bem localizado, com wifi gratis e o pessoal do hotel super atenciosos! Com certeza recomendo e gostaria de me hospedar nele outras vezes!!!

Excellement situé, cet Hôtel est à deux pas de tous les sites d'intérêts du centre de Venise. Le personnel est attentioné, parle français parfaitement. Le petit déjeuner (buffet) est copieux et d'excellente qualité. La chambre (standard) était bien dans le style vénitien, un peu chargé, donnant un aspect un peu viellot sur certain point (électricité […] notamment). Le confort correspond à un bon 3* français. La salle de bain était quelconque, avec un rideau de douche vraiment anachronique pour un 5*. A noter: il est indispensable de réserver une table au restaurant 2* Michelin dès la réservation de la chambre... Mehr

サンマルコ広場に近く、海岸沿いのメインロードに面しているので、場所が分かりやすく　到着の時も、出歩いて帰ってくる時も、便利でした。 食事なしのプランでしたが、周りに飲食店が山ほどあるので、困る事はありませんでした。 部屋は、重厚な感じで、いかにもベネツィアという壁紙やカーテンやシャンデリアでしたが、造りは古いので、好き嫌いはあると思います。でも、バスルームは機能的且つ清潔に改装されていたので、不自由は感じませんでした。 ただ、暖房が効いていたので、切ったのですが　その後も暑くて寝れなかったので窓を開けて寝ましたが、今度は蚊が入って来てしまい、それには困りました。

Un hôtel fort charmant qui hébergea autrefois Antonio Vivaldi. Un luxe désuet, un peu passé, mais plein de charme... une situation incomparable au plein centre de la plus charmante ville au monde et last but not least... en face de tous les pontons de vaporetos... Hotel à la décoration très kitsch mais tout à fait en harmonie avec le style vénitien. Tout était parfait, le personnel très aimable. Seule la chambre familiale n'est malheureusement pas au niveau de l'hotel. On a l'impression de dormir en dortoir en rang d'oignon, c'est le seul reproche que nous pouvons faire. Hotel à recommander.

o hotel é lindissimo parece uma volta ao tempo, deve-se visitar todos os andares, para cada um tem uma decoraçao diferente tipo uma exposiçao de obras de arte, o cafe da manha muito bom o pessoal de serviço muito gentil

un albergo ben tenuto , pieno di collezioni di pezzi antichi che rendono l'ambiente molto ricercato . peccato che i bagni siano stati realizzati in miniatura

Hotellets innredning og beliggenhet gjør det til en opplevelse i seg selv i en by som ellers er mettet av severdigheter. Dessverre trakk servicenivået i resepsjonen ned (holdning og vilje til å hjelpe i en bestemt situasjon), men staben for øvrig var svært servicevennlig.

La posizione e` ottima come anche l`accoglienza e la cortesia del personale , l`arredameno della camera un po sottotono (ad un prezzo sopra la media ) se paragonata al livello (5 stelle) ed alla fastosita` della hall , dell entrata e dela sala attiennte alla reception..
