pool was dirty someone had gone to the bathroom in it. we didnt get to swim due to no one came to clean it.

Three rooms in 2 nights. The first "non smoking' room smelt of smoke from the moment you opened the door, the second room had no heat. The 3rd still had a smoky smell, even tho it wa on a non smoking floor. The breakfast room was small and crowded. Line ups for breakfast. No decaf coffee in rooms. Not a place for non smokers.

I will NEVER stay at this hotel ever again, nor will I ever recommend it to anyone that I even remotely know. The non-smoking areas smelled like cigarette smoke; the beds were extremely uncomfortable; it was very loud. The lobby area was nice enough, but the rooms were in dire need of some maintenance. The only staff that I came across in our 3 night […] stay that was friendly was the housekeeping staff. I found the breakfast area woman was extremely rude. HORRIBLE!!! Mehr

I would not recomend this hotel, the service was bad the room was very small, no microwave and no fridge the beds weren't great and the pillow cases were on inside out overall it was not a good experience.

It was noisy at times and i was continuously disturbed during my sleep.

We we got to the hotel the man working was rude. The walls had not been washed. There was a stain on one of the bedspreads. And megs were not made properly.

The hallways aren't big enough to get luggage down. The elevators aren't big enough for the luggage cart. And the rooms are the tiniest I have ever stayed in. On top of that when I went to put my 'security deposit' on the room the very unfriendly hotel staff member attempted to put $2000 on my card instead of $200. I was not impressed with the staff. […] My husband went to get us the 'complimentary' breakfast and I stayed in our suite with the kids while he went. He came back with drinks and fruit because there were no plates that could leave the breakfast area and he was glared at for attempting to take stuff back to the room. As well, the bathrooms were not exactly clean and the garbage cans didn't even have bags in them. Overall worst hotel stay I've ever had, other than the hotel we stayed at that had stains on the walls and holes in the sheets. Mehr

Dirty, dark and uncomfortable. Price was comparable to nicer hotels in the area.

average room for the price paid. not thrilled, but clean and safe. Breakfast good. Good quick in and out hotel if you want to stay on main drag. Comparable to cheaper hotel. Disappointed that I told hotel of late arrival and that when I got to my room it was freezing cold. Temp outside was 1 degree. No heat had been turned on prior to our arrival. Wireless connection is very weak in 3rd floor. Only one elevator is installed and that makes guests walking and walking. The important landmarks are not suitably displayed causing going round and round. A fridge and a microwave could help guests make something to eat if they do not want to go out. Rooms are okay for one person but too small for double […] occupancy. Mehr

the room was dated and the service staff unfriedly.

The only complaint I have is that the pillows were not comfortable and I made them aware about it when we checked out. Front desk very helpful in telling us about restaurants in the area.

I was about to cover my daughter when a bug ran past her head. The hotel suggested that I was not telling the truth. We checked out immediately. I was extremely upset as my daughter was crying. Don't stay there!

Everything was fine except the walls were quite thin and sound carries from other rooms much too easily.

The hotel l needs to be renovated and brought up to a standard. I would only use this hotel as an emergency for one night but not for long term.

The amenities were adequate, but the services such as housekeeping, wifi, and front desk were dismal. We never had toilet paper, kleenex, ice container, cups, towels etc.

I did appreciate the good rate I got but felt like I got what I paid for. It was noisy from a couple bus loads of kids a few nights and because of the length of my stay I asked to upgrade my room to kitchenette but it wasn't available. There was also a mildewy smell coming from my bathroom. I WAS able to get a small fridge for my room but there was […] an extra cost for it. It is for these reasons why I wouldn't recommend. If you are looking for a low priced extremely convienent located hotel ~ this is the place to stay. I think it would greatly benefit the hotel to do some upgrades in the room's ~ all room's look cheap/dated inside. All room's should also come standard with a fridge/microwave ~ I don't think guests should have to argue with incompetent desk staff to […] get what they asked for when they booked their room. Pool is nice but cold and a little awkwardly located in the front lobby. Based on the size of the hotel there should be more then 1 elevator. Day time desk staff knowledgeable and friendly ~ night staff should possibly seek another profession ~ this is not their calling (took a long time to figure out what room to put us in and then I had to come back down as they did not properly code my key card ~ quite an inconvienence when I was checking in with 2 small children). Free continental breakfast could have more selection and quantity especially based on current hotel occupancy. Bedding should be updated ~ even thou we were staying in a non-smoking room ~ all bedding had smoke/burn holes in it. There was also only 1 working wall plug in the room and it was the one attached to the lamp on the desk. Mehr

We have stayed there before but had forgotten about pool and fitness room - we'll bring our gear next time. Close enough to airport, yet relatively easy to get around city to our various family locations, and in this case to church and funeral home for prayer and memorial services.

The staff were courteous and seemed to want to be helpful. They were not able to make decisions on very simple requests, though. Perhaps they are not allowed? As it was snowing, we requested a few large garbage bags to put our suitcases in as they had to go in the back of the pickup truck we were driving. The front desk staff said they were unable to […] get any for us from housekeeping, and were unwilling to call housekeeping to the front desk so we could ask them ourselves. Mehr

This hotel has a cancellation policy that states you must cancel a day before you want the room or you are fully charged for it. On the day I had to drive to Edmonton from Fort McMurray there was a travel advisory to not drive due to icy conditions. I tried to get to Edmonton anyhow but cars were going into ditches and I was involved in a near headon […] accident. I had to turn arond and go back to Fort McMurray. It was 1:30 pm in the afternoon when i called the hotel to cancel my reservation. Even though i had no control over not being able to come into Edmonton I was still fully charged for the room and tax. Do they even have to pay the tax on a room I didn't use ? How am I supposed to know a day before whether the weather is going to turn bad? Every other hotel I know of allows cancellations on the same day as the reservation. This is gouging at its worst and I will not be staying at a Travelodge again and would advise others to give this poor example of a hotel a wide berth. Mehr

The South Edmonton Travelodge is a very conveniently located hotel. It was very easy to get to all locations. The room itself was small and hot, We were able to turn the temperature down & did manage to open the window a bit. The air conditioning was not working. Wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here. The bed was SO uncomfortable it was rock hard and even the pillows were hard - we had a 2 night stay here and couldn't wait to leave!! Breakfast is also included although the room where the breakfast is held is so small that it could only fit a handful of people. The room was so busy we didn't even stay for breakfast […] either of the 2 days that we were there. The location was great for us though as we were attending a wedding at the Delta Edmonton South and with it being so close we were within walking distance. Would definitely NOT recommend this hotel to anyone!! Mehr

Found the hotel and rooms to be clean. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was easy to find and close to major streets so access to other areas of the city was easy. Would stay there again.

Hotel looked a little tired and is in need of a minor face lift. Room was small and dark with basic comfort and necessities but far from luxurious. Not recommended for a family vacation unless it is all that the budget permits. Free continental breakfast was adequate and it is walking distance to the Edmonton Mall. Old, smelly, uncomfortable. This place was gross. A lot of money for what you got.

The hotel was old and dirty. The carpets were stained and the interriour looks to have seen better days. If you're looking for a budget place to stay the night, I suppose it's fine. Its was usable and the room was decently clean. However, It was not even as nice as most Motel 6' s that I've stayed at. The continental breakfast is one of the least appetizing […] that I've had. You have a choice of bagels, toast or cereal. Its fine, just not worth much. I would have been happier just stopping at the grocery. The area where it's located is not so nice, pretty junky. It's right across the street from a gentlemans club and The Superstore. The staff was nice enough but not great. I would not stay there again. It wasn't comfortable or quiet. Mehr

The standard queen room was VERY small. My husband and I couldn't pass each other between the bed and the TV. The bed was also about 3 feet from the air conditioner and having to run it throughout the night, I ended up with a sore throat. We had to set up a playpen for our 1 year old, and the room was just way too small. The hall ways were also narrow […] and hard to pass other peopl with luggage in the halls. However everything else seemed good for the price. The bed was average on comfort level. The pool and fitness center was a plus. The breakfast was pretty good. They had yogart, bagles, toast, cereal, muffins, juice/milk, and cold cereal. The breakfast lady was very good at keeping things stocked. For the money I'd probably stay there again, but I'd upgrade to a bigger room with a fridge and microwave and more space. Mehr

Checked in @ 5:30 pm, pleasant staff, room was ready, clean but warm, cooled off with AC on. Sink in bathroom was slow draining, fan did not exhaust steam from shower. Bed was ok. Pillows were lumpy. Pool was great. We were the only ones using it. Fellow travellers missed out on the best feature of the hotel.

Not Found! we have 2 hours to find the mail since it was written 45 Street and 45 Avenue on the site. more like the general appearance of the hotel motel that is expected having seen the photo. the pool was freezing and the hot tub so it was unbearable hot. Breakfast was light. should not be hungry. the room was like a […] canteen with a neon-lit dark rather than a restaurant. the gym is a room that was empty for three to weight machine. heating is an infernal noise! can not open the windows the elevator was out of the 3 days we stayed something pretty cool as it has come to the hotel charges you $ 100 for any damage ... unprofessional. the room was decent and clean ---------------------------------------------------------------------- hôtel médiocre par rapport au prix. introuvable ! nous avons mis 2h a le trouver puisque sur le mail il était écrit 45 rue et sur le site 45 avenue. l'aspect général tiens plus du motel que de l’hôtel auquel on s'attend en ayant vu les photo. la piscine était glaciale et le hot-tub intenable tellement il était chaud. le petit déjeuner était léger. il ne fallait pas être affamé. la salle ressemblait à une cantine sombre éclairé avec un néon plutôt qu'a une salle de restaurant. la salle de sport est une chambre qui a été vidé pour mettre 3 appareil de musculation. le chauffage fait un bruit infernal ! on ne peut pas ouvrir les fenêtres l’ascenseur était en panne les 3 jours ou nous avons séjourné une chose assez sympa aussi c'est qu'a l'arriver l’hôtel vous fait payer 100$ pour les éventuels dégât... pas professionnel du tout. la chambre était correct et propre Mehr

Bij binnenkomst alleraardigst ontvangen door een meisje van Oosterse origine. Ze heeft ons gerustgesteld en indien nodig ons alle informatie gegeven die wij als vreemdelingen graag horen. De stad is geweldig, de West Mall is een dagbezoek waard.
