Alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten sind von hier gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Das Hotel selbst ist ein roter Backstein-Kasten, der im Vergleich zu den umliegenden Hochhäusern relativ niedrig ist. […] Für ein Stadthotel war unser Zimmer relativ ruhig, jedoch ging das Fenster auch zu einer Seitenstraße raus. In unmittelbarer Nähe liegen viele Restaurants in allen Preisklassen und nur ein Block weiter das Hard-Rock Cafe. Im ersten Stock gibt es eine Sitzbereich mit Wasserfall, wo morgens das für amerikanische Verhältnisse sehr umfangreiche Frühstück genossen werden kann. Das Hotel selbst macht Werbung mit "cooked-to-order". Die Omeletts sind wirklich ausgezeichnet. Allerdings sind die Wartezeiten nach 8:00 Uhr sehr lang - also möglichst vorher frühstücken. Alle Zimmer gehen von dem offenem Innenbereich ab, der bis ins oberste Stockwerk reicht. Die Suites sind geräumig und modern mit je einem Flat-TV im Schlaf- und Sitzbereich ausgestattet. Mehr

Lovely hotel in the North River Neighborhood. The suite (11th flr) was spacious, well laid out, and very clean. Friendly staff. Accommodating doormen. VERY convenient to the Red Line Subway (1 blk). Beautifully designed open atrium courtyard with water fall. Both the breakfast buffet and managers evening reception were wonderful (and complimentary); […] seating is set in curving terraces amidst the waterpools and plants. Easy walking distance to Riverwalk, the State/Lake Station and the Theater District in the Loop. Magnificent Mile is only 2-3 blocks away. There is a great food market (1 blk), Starbucks at corner of hotel, 7-11 (2 blks). And two amazing pizzerias (1-2 blks) - Pizzeria Uno and Pizzeria Due. You want Chicago pizza, don't miss them (busy but worth the wait). We would stay at this Embassy again in a heartbeat. Mehr

This is an awesome hotel we will stay there again, close to restaurants and shopping the staff is very helpful and make you feel at home

My sisters and I spent 3 nights at the Embassy Suites Chicago Downtown - This hotel is in an excellent location for shopping, sightseeing and restaurants - all within walking distance or short bus/train ride. The stay begin with a very warm greeting from the hotel staff. The bell captain sang out, "help is on the way ladies" and he helped us with all […] our bags. The doorman Micheal would greet us each time we retuned to the hotel with "Welcome Home Ladies"! First impressions make a big difference. The breakfast was amazing with made-to-order omelets and lots of other choices - the line moved very quickly even at prime-time on the weekend morning (9:30-10:30) and plenty of seating. Our room (two doubles, pull out couch and fridge) was very clean and modern. We were on the West side of the hotel on a lower floor so the view was of the parking garage. I would request a higher floor next time for a little better view and less street noise. Overall our stay was excellent and would recommend this hotel to others and will return again on our next stay. Mehr

enjoyed it tremendously, my sister who was with me, forgot her breathing machine when we checked out. The staff was wonderful especially the concierge offering food suggestions and helping celebrate a birthday. The room was a good size having 4 adults and 2 children. Cab rides were reasonable and easy to walk around the city.

i thought they were a little short staffed so it affected service but overall very good. also don't eat at the hotel restaurant, food was horrible.

Excellent choice. The hotel was very clean, employees were very nice and the full breakfast that's included was great. I would highly recommend this hotel and we will stay here when we come back.

Stayed during Easter weekend. Terribly noisy due to many families Thursdagy-Saturday. Sunday-Monday was much better.Breakfast was excellent, but capacity was too small when the hotel was full.The afternoon reception is excellent!

My granddaughters and I had a wonderful time at the Embassy. Plenty of room for all, the breakfast was awesome. One block to the subway, easy access to the museums, Lincoln Zoo, walking distance to the Navy Pier and of course the American Doll store!

You hear about Embassy Suites and you think it is a good quality hotel. NO shampoos where in the bathroom. you have to pay for the internet. Parcking is much much higher than other similar hotels in the area. For the price you pay, don't assume you get a 4 star quality hotel. Very disappointed . I always enjoy staying here. Room is spaceous and pretty clean. Has nice a good view of the atriums and a fantastic breakfast.

Overall hotel was nice. We stayed with our two kids. We booked a city view for an extra charge and at check in they did not have a city view reserved fo us. When I asked the lady at the front desk gave a bit of an attitude as I showed her my confirmation sheet. We did get a view of th city but it wasn't a very good one. The Embassy Suites in downtown Chicago (State St) is always great to stay in. Love the huge cooked-to-order breakfast and comfortable rooms.

This is a good place to stay if your traveling with your family. The breakfast and mangers reception make this hotel a good economic value. Not to mention the large rooms and great location

Great location, very comfortable, excellent service! Complimentary breakfast w/ made to order omelets was EXCELLENT!! The hotel was very busy, but the lines went very quickly. SUPERB service by all.

overall very comfortable and convenient place, two things negative and worth mentioning are 1. hotel seems to be very crowded and 2. at night time noise is unbearable, impossible to sleep for a light sleeper like me.

This hotel was perfect for myself and two kids. We truly enjoyed how the hotel goes the extra mile for kids from the swimming pool to the breakfast buffet. We were not disappointed and will definitely stay again.

My husband and I and our 6 year old son stayed one night at the Embassy Suites Downtown Chicago. We were very impressed with the hotel. Very convenient to shopping and restaurants. Our son loved the glass elevators, 2 room suite (he got to stay up late watching TV), and pool. The pool was nice and the pool towels were full sized, not like some of those […] hand-towel sized ones. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms seemed fairly quiet, although we were right across from the elevator and it was a bit noisy in the evening. The best part of staying here was the Manager's reception in the evening and the free breakfast in the morning. In the evening, they have a small snack table set up (we had soft pretzel bites with cheese, raw veggies with dip, and a pretzel mix) and you get one complimentary alcoholic beverage (or non-alcohol). This was perfect for us as we had late dinner reservations and the snack was a great way to keep the 6 year old happy. The breakfast buffet was very good. They have an omelet station and a buffet of bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, french toast, oatmeal, cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, and pastries. Best tip is to arrive before 8 am for breakfast, otherwise the line is crazy long for omelets. We will definitely return to Embassy Suites the next time we are in Chicago. Best hotel value when you consider breakfast and a drink. Parking was steep, but you are in Chicago. Mehr

What a wonderful place to stay!

We arrived early about 30 minutes and the desk clerk did an awesome job getting us a great room. Location was 2 blocks off Michigan avenue and convenient walking distance to downtown. Breakfast buffet was a nice surprise and very well done. If you drive, park at a public garage like Millenium and save a few bucks. Take a cab ride ($7 to Navy Pier) […] and hop on the L forban adventure. Will definitely stay there again. Mehr

Getting alittle run down. Tubs are old. I hate it when hotels remodel, but keep in the old tubs. Good place for kid. I don't really like it for business. Long line at breakfast. For the part OK.

Everything was ok but the pool area is cool only The parking cost is expensive...

Wonderful choice for a hotel. Everything was so easily accessible, shopping, great dining, business at the Mart, services at the Cathedral, top notch grocery shops, little boutiques across the street. No street sounds, comfortable for two or more. Breakfast on the weekend a little too crowded, but a great choice of food and beverages. And free! Unfortunetly […] the parking on site was not free, very expensive. I'll do that differently next time! Very good experience, and I stay in the city often, so Ill be back. Mehr

Location is excellent. Service was very good. We did the valet parking which was very convenient. Located within walking distance of major downtown attractions. Chili's and 7-11 are across the street for moderate priced food/convenience items. Short drive to China town and aquarium. Very pleased with the service and managers reception is great!

When I was there, it could not connect an internet with wire which is equipped in the room. After claiming weveral times, internet could be used. However, it could not connect again next morning in spite of payment with $9 for internet use. It might be setting up some restriction for the connection. This point need to be improved for business man, otherwise […] I could not recomend business use. Mehr

Gret location and price. Happy hour every night as well as a wonderful breakfast every morning made this the best choice for the money.

The hotel is great, the staff is superb.. Breakfast was phenomenal and so was the cocktail hour. The kids only complaint was the pool was very small and shallow. Would definitely stay there again.

This was our second visit to this hotel. The staff is flat out awesome and worked with us on some issues we had while visiting Chicago. It can ba a little tricky getting to the hotel if you are driving, but it is conveniently located to the train lines, there are plenty of good restaurants in the area and it is within walking distance of the loop (allbeit […] a long walk). Great hotel! Only problem was slight..maid neglected to leave coffee cups in room second day of stay, so couldn't make in-room coffee. Overall, a good deal, especially if traveling with children and want a separate room. Breakfast included is always a plus. Valet parking is steep, but it iS Chicago.

We stayed at the Embassy Suites Downtown Metro for St. Patrick's Day this year. The hotel is approximately 5 blocks from the river and 2 blocks from Magnificent Mile. There are plenty of restaurants and entertainment nearby. The breakfasts of a morning were clutch and the staff was extremely efficient for so many people.
