Lage sehr nahe beim Kolloseum und somit in fußläufiger Entfernung vieler Sehenswürdigkeiten. An befahrener Hauptverkehrsstrasse gelegen, dadurch hörbarer Strassenlärm. Zimmer sauber und gepflegt, aber klein, insbesondere Badezimmer sehr klein (Duschtasse max. 70x70cm - somit ist duschen für größere Personen eine echte Herausforderung...). Die Mitarbeiter im Hotel waren mehr oder weniger freundlich und hilfsbereit. Jedoch ist der Teppichboden im Flur und im Zimmer fleckig. Die Klimaanlage prumpt auch wenn sie ausgeschaltet ist. Alle Holzelemente also Türen, Wandschrank,... sehen sehr ausgelaugt aus. Die Dusche ist winzig. Der Straßenlärm ist bei geschlossenem Fenster erträglich. Von einem […] 4 Sternehotel bin ich anderes gewohnt. Ansonsten ist es nahe dem Colosseum und der Metro. Ein Supermarkt ist hinter dem Hotel in 10 min zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Hotel ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt um Rom zu erkunden. Die Zimmer sind klein aber sauber. Das Hotel hat die besten Tage bereits hinter sich. Der Pool mit Blick auf das Kolosseum ist super. Das große Frühstück kann man sich schenken, leichter geht man in die Hotelbar dort gibt es für wenig Geld ein kleines aber ausreichendes Früstück.

in gar keinem Fall 4* Hotel, für deutsche verhältnisse eher 2*. Man kann nicht schlafen, falls jemand im Nebenzimmer auf die Toilette geht, als ob es in deinem Zimmer ist. Zimmer sind schrecklich!!! Frühstück bedürftig

Bereits zum 2. Mal habe ich das Hotel Mercure Delta Colosseo gebucht, da dieses in der Nähe einiger Sehenswürdigkeiten liegt, die man ohne Weiteres zu Fuß erreichen kann: direkt gegenüber die Basilica San Clemente, nicht weit die Patriachalkirche San Giovanna in Laterano, die "Scala Santa", die wunderschöne Kirche Maria Maggiore, nicht zu vergessen […] das Kolosseum, das Forum Romanum, das Kapitol und und und ..... Auch der Vatikan und weitere Sehenswürdigkeiten sind im Grunde genommen zu Fuß zu erreichen, so dass das Hotel als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in Rom ausgezeichnet geeignet ist. Die Zimmer des Mercure Delta Colosseo sind sehr klein.Extra Nichtraucher-Zimmer gibt es nicht. Der Pool ist von 10 Uhr vormittags bis 20 Uhr abends geöffnet. Beim Frühstück kann man sich vor Ort entscheiden, ob man eines für 6€ oder für 15 € oder keines will.Die Lage des Hotels ist ok.

Das Hotel Mercure Delta Colosseo hat eine super Lage, ca. 300 Meter vom Colosseum entfernt . Es besitzt eine Dachterrasse mit Bar und Pool (tolle Erfrischung nach einem anstrengenden Tag zu Fuß) und natürlich einen wunderbaren Blick auf das Colloseum. Unser Zimmer war geräumig (für 3 Personen), etwas schade, dass wenig Frischluft ins Zimmer kommt, da […] der Vorbau fast komplett verglast ist. Das komplette sightseeing Programm kann man von diesem Hotel zu Fuß erreichen. Auch ist die Metro-Station gleich am Colosseum, falls einen der Petersplatz zu weit erscheint. Wir buchten ohne Frühstück und gingen in das Cafe eine Querstraße weiter, Cafe und Cornetto sind am Thresen am billigsten. Sollten wir nochmal Rom besuchen, dann werden wir auf sicherlich wieder dieses Hotel buchen. Mehr

Hotel Mercure Delta Colosseo hat eine super Lage. es ist wunderschön im Pool zu schwimmen und auf der Dachterasse zu relaxen und dabei das Colloseum im Blick zu haben. Ds komplette sightseeing Programm kann man von diesem Hotel zu Fuß erreichen. Unser Zimmer war sehr groß und sauber. Das Frühstück auf der Dachtereasse für 6€ ist absolut empfehlenswert, […] da es in ganz Rom nichts Vergleichbares zu diesem Preis gibt. Einzig die Betten in unserem Zimmer waren sehr durchgelegen. Das Hotel liegt top zentral. Von der Metro-Station Colleseo sind es ca. 300 m zu Fuß. D.h. Anreise Flugzeug - Bahn - Metro gut. Wir hatten ein 3er Zimmer nach hinten. Bei geschlossenen Fenstern war es somit auch nachts sehr ruhig. Der Balkon ist vollständig verglast - wohl aus Geräuchgesichtspunkten. Daneben nur noch eine natürliche Lichtquelle nämlich […] ein ca. 40 cm großes Bullauge. Das Lüften des Zimmers war also nicht möglich. Daher wohl auch der Klimaanlagengeruch. Highlight des Hotels sicherlich der ca. 1 m tiefe Dachterrassenpool (ca. 5 auf 15 m). Die Dachterrasse lud auch zum Frühstück (italian breakfast 1 Kaffee 1 Croissant; aber: Kinder Frühstück frei!) und zum Absacker zum Abend ein. Mehr

Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, zu teuer ! Hotel muss dringend renoviert werden. Frühstücksbuffet ist reichhaltig aber nicht immer frisch (alte Eier). Einrichtung schmuddelig und sollte erneuert werden (Teppiche, Böden) etc. Einzig Pool-Bar und vor allem Barchef Maurizio ist Spitzenklasse 1AAA! Ebenso das Personal ist sehr, sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

Nettes und hilfsbereites Personal, die jedoch nie aufdringlich ist. Pool absolut top - habe ich als Siesta Aufenthalt sehr genossen - war trotz hoher Aussentemperatur angenehm kühl, aber nie kalt. Sauber, professionell und sympatisch geführtes Hotel.

There is so much to see and do in Rome, you don't spend much time in your hotel room. This hotel offered basic ammenities for a traveling tourist. The front desk service was great, the location is a 2-3 minute walk to the Colosseum, and a 10 minute walk to the Red line Metro (subway). However, the rooms did not offer a dead-bolt on the door, the ventilation/AC […] did not work, the internet WiFI was spotty, and the shower was very cramped for a 6' male. I didn't travel to Rome for the hotels--I went for the sights. The rate at this hotel worked with my budget, but I may look at other options next time I am fortunate enough to visit this city. Mehr

The staff was great, location was perfect! The room is not the most clean. The bedding was good but the floor was a bit nasty and the bathroom tub did not looked too clean. The towels had stains. But overall for the value and location, well worth it!

This is a really nice hotel very near most of the historical sites. The staff were absolutely superb and sorted a number of problems for us. The taxis they booked were the cheapest around, for example. Oh and it has a really nice bar/restaurant.

Great location in the city. Very nice hotel with friendly helpful staff. Rooms on the small side but has all the comforts required. Make sure breakfast is included in your package as it's not worth 15Euro per person.Highly Recommended hotel. Note that this hotel falls outside the 40Euro flat rate for taxi's from the airport.

This hotel is in a fantastic location. The Colosseum is at your door as is the Roman Forum and easy access to downtown. Good metro and bus transport is also handy. Check-in was a little complicated as the hotel did not have my Expedia record, but that was sorted after about 20 minutes. The hotel is probably built in the 1980s and is in need of some […] renovation. My room was "double superior" only because it had a view of the Colosseum. There was an unfortunate concrete pillar at the end of the bed (holding the roof up no doubt) and a rather small bathroom compared to other hotels in Rome. The carpet and other fittings were in need of replacement. I was there in November and the much talked about roof terrace (with view) was closed - so I never saw it. On balance, this hotel is OK primarily because of its location. If this is not so important then other hotels probably have better and newer amenities. Mehr

Our room had a great veiw of the coloseum. The red or blue line metro was about a 10 min walk. Right next door to the hotel was a great place for coffee, pastrys or gelato. The Mercure Delta Colosseo. It was a really nice hotel, however it just didnt have anything to make me say wow. When we first got there, we had the tiniest room. I was there for my girlfriends birthday and when I told the staff this and asked for an upgrade, they did do that for us, however there was a slight grumble. We were there for 6 days. The room […] we got moved to was really nice, however it had a shared balcony which we were apprehensive of using due to the lack of privacy. If you are looking for breakfast I wouldn't recommend the extortion from the hotel. there is a nice place just next to the hotel up the Labicana away from the colosseum that sells amazing fresh croissants at a euro each. Also, make sure you don't leave your towels in the bath expecting fresh ones, if you are there for more than a night, you will get the same towels and bedding for the duration of your stay. This hotel is only in a good position, as for the hotel is dirty, the carpet going to the first floor so dirty and the corridor small so bad, however in side de room, the room was ok but the hotel require some maintenance as I cannot say is dirt for one day. The staff not was to helpful when I ask for some attention in the tv remote control and the air condition not was working properly. I have to ask two times before something was done, regarding the air condition they give a silly excuse. Having read reviews from others who had stayed at this hotel i was slightly dissapointed in that our group of 12 had all upgraded to superior rooms and found a mismatch of different rooms, all had a view of colosseum but most were very small. Carpets were marked and shower curtains needed changing. The downstairs of hotel very nice as were the staff. […] Dont expect to get a drink after midnight as the bar closes. Mehr

The staff at the hotel were OK, a bit snappy at times if you couldn't understand what they where saying. I had to iron my tops and pants in the reception area as this is the only was you can iron clothes. Number one it's humiliating and number two the ironing board and iron were like something out of the Flintstones. For a branded hotel and worldwide […] company it's shocking that this hotel is a 4 star. The location is not the best as most restaurants, bars and sightseeing are in central Rome area. I'd highly recommend booking your hotel there than in the Ancient Coty were this one is. Ok the coliseum is just a 2 minute walk and the Roman forum is behind that, if this is all you’re in Rome to see and do and are not after anything special then this is your hotel. If you're going to propose to your girlfriend and have a great time like I did, then do not book this hotel. Modern, Efficient, Less than 200m from the Coilsium if your in Rome to walk the ideal base, no resturant but theres more places to eat in the area than you could try in a month and the Pool and roof bar add the right touch with great views

Hotel location was perfect, however that was all that was impressive about it. As soon as I and my partner arrived we were sneered at and were asked if we were sure we were in the correct hotel (I am 18, my partner is 21) The staff were unhelpful and rude, after we checked in I went down to ask a question and I was shooed away by the staff who said […] they were busy, despite the fact there was no one else being checked in or seen to at the time. The pool isn't really a pool, more a large bath about 3mx6m and the sun loungers are few and far between, when I walked past the reception later I saw a family with young kids asking if they had any more sun loungers and they too were sneered away. I know this hotel claims it has business facilities but it's hardly fun to be ignored on your holiday because you aren't business class and you aren't paying 24euors (yes 24 euros) for a full breakfast every morning. I think if you don't need a pool for your holiday, book somewhere else, there are other hotels just as central as this one and with far nicer staff (we had lunch in one of the other hotels where the staff weren't put off by our age as they understood we were in Rome to buy what we required for the holiday) Mehr

We have just returned from honeymoon at the Mercure Delta Colosseo hotel in Rome. Whilst the room we were allocated was smaller than the rooms shown on the website, the service received, the location, the rooftop pool and terrace bar more than made up for it. The hotel is less than 200 metres away from the Colloseum, about 20-30 minutes walk from the […] Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and Spanish steps so the location couldn't be better. The pool was a godsend after spending the morning/early afternoon exploring, we spent a couple of hours each day recharging our batteries by the pool and cooling down in the refreshing water A fantastic hotel and I would definitely return. Dont know how this hotel has a 2 review score. It is much better then that, the rooms were stock standard, nothing special, but did the job considering you are not even there half the time. Free internet cards, staff spoke english, right outside the Colosseum, great place!

This hotel has a great location just minutes from the Colosseum. Staff were very polite and helpful. The pool on the roof was excellent and great for cooling down in the afternoon. My room was clean and had everything I needed for my visit.

Basically the staff doesn't care if you're happy or not, or even if you have air conditioning or anything else they promise you on the web site. Not worth the location to deal with the hassles and staff. lots of other hotels near by that met expectations of service.
