Im NH Giustinano stimmte alles: Zum Mittelklassepreis gab es ein sehr modern und stilvoll eingerichtetes Zimmer (hatten allerdings das Angebot zum Upgrade wahrgenommen). Das Zimmer war groß, das Bett sehr bequem. Das Bad war klein, aber mit allem ausgestattet, was erforderlich ist. Das Zimmer war nach erstem Anschein sauber. Der Service war in Ordnung, insbesondere beim Frühstückspersonal hätten wir uns mehr Freundlichkeit gewünscht. Aber das ist nach unserer Erfahrung Rom-typisch. Das Frühstück selbst war vielseitig und schmackhaft (mit Ausnahme des Automaten-Kaffees).

Das Hotel liegt ausserhalb von Rom und ist wirklich sehr günstig über die Bahnstation Pantanella zu erreichen. Es ist in einem sehr guten Zustand mit Marmorböden und vielen Details, die es schön verzieren. Ein typisches italienisches Früstück ist zu erwarten, das sich in Umfang vom deutschen unterscheidet. Leider haben wir gefühlt das mit Abstand schlechteste Zimmer bekommen, da es im Gegensatz zum gesamten Hotel wirklich sehr einfach eingerichtet war. Aber es war sauber und wir hatten vier schöne Tage in Rom. Empfehlenswert vom Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.

Wir verbrachten insgesamt 4 Tage mit unseren Kindern in Rom. Das Familienappartement des B&B war Ideal für uns. Die Lage In unmittelbarer Nähe zum Kolosseum und zur Metro war hervorragend. Der Vermieter ist unheimlich freundlich und hat sich bestens um uns gekümmert. Die Zimmer waren sauber und ruhig gelegen, die Betten waren sehr gut.
Lage
Mercure Delta Colosseo in Rom befindet sich im historischen Viertel in der Nähe von San Clemente, Kolloseum und Konstantinsbogen. Nicht weit entfernt befinden sich: Santa Maria Maggiore und Forum Romanum.
Ausstattung
Mercure Delta Colosseo bietet Ihnen Folgendes: Außenpool und Außenpool (je nach Saison geöffnet). Ein kostenloser W-LAN-Internetzugang steht in den öffentlichen Bereichen zur Verfügung. Dieses Hotel für Geschäftsreisende bietet folgendes Gastronomieangebot: Bar/Lounge. Außerdem steht Folgendes zur Verfügung: Dachterrasse, Bibliothek und mehrsprachiges Personal. Die 160 klimatisierten Zimmer im Mercure Delta Colosseo bieten Folgendes: Minibars und kostenloses Mineralwasser. Die Zimmer haben einen Internetzugang (gegen Gebühr). Satelliten-TV-Empfang mit Pay-TV stehen in den Zimmern zur Verfügung. Alle Zimmer verfügen über folgende Ausstattung: Schreibtische und Direktwahltelefone. Zur Badausstattung gehören: Bidets, Haartrockner und kostenlose Toilettenartikel. Außerdem steht Folgendes zur Verfügung: zu öffnende Fenster und Verdunkelungsvorhänge. Alle Straßen führen zum Forum, dem Herzen des antiken Rom. Besucher strömen hierher, um durch die Straßen zu gehen, in denen einst auch Julius Cäsar wandelte. Zu seiner Zeit befand sich hier das Zentrum von Handel, Politik und Rechtssprechung. Das Kolosseum befindet sich nicht weit davon entfernt. Es wurde von Lord Byron als "blutiger Zirkus der Gladiatoren" beschrieben, ist das größte Amphitheater der Welt und gilt als das beeindruckendste Bauwerk unter den Ruinen und Gebäuden Roms.

in gar keinem Fall 4* Hotel, für deutsche verhältnisse eher 2*. Man kann nicht schlafen, falls jemand im Nebenzimmer auf die Toilette geht, als ob es in deinem Zimmer ist. Zimmer sind schrecklich!!! Frühstück bedürftig

Zur Besichtigung des Kolosseums und der Foren zu Fuß. Fürs Trastevere und das Stadtzentrum hält der Bus direkt vor dem Hotel.

"Standort 4 Sterne, Zimmer 3 Sterne."
Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, zu teuer ! Hotel muss dringend renoviert werden. Frühstücksbuffet ist reichhaltig aber nicht immer frisch (alte Eier). Einrichtung schmuddelig und sollte erneuert werden (Teppiche, Böden) etc. Einzig Pool-Bar und vor allem Barchef Maurizio ist Spitzenklasse 1AAA! Ebenso das Personal ist sehr, sehr nett und zuvorkommend.
"Zentrales Business Hotel auch zum Relaxen"
Nettes und hilfsbereites Personal, die jedoch nie aufdringlich ist. Pool absolut top - habe ich als Siesta Aufenthalt sehr genossen - war trotz hoher Aussentemperatur angenehm kühl, aber nie kalt. Sauber, professionell und sympatisch geführtes Hotel.

There is so much to see and do in Rome, you don't spend much time in your hotel room. This hotel offered basic ammenities for a traveling tourist. The front desk service was great, the location is a 2-3 minute walk to the Colosseum, and a 10 minute walk to the Red line Metro (subway). However, the rooms did not offer a dead-bolt on the door, the ventilation/AC […] did not work, the internet WiFI was spotty, and the shower was very cramped for a 6' male. I didn't travel to Rome for the hotels--I went for the sights. The rate at this hotel worked with my budget, but I may look at other options next time I am fortunate enough to visit this city. Mehr

Having read reviews from others who had stayed at this hotel i was slightly dissapointed in that our group of 12 had all upgraded to superior rooms and found a mismatch of different rooms, all had a view of colosseum but most were very small. Carpets were marked and shower curtains needed changing. The downstairs of hotel very nice as were the staff. […] Dont expect to get a drink after midnight as the bar closes. Mehr
The Hotel Mercure Delta Colosseo was very comfortable and within a three minute walk to the Coloseum and Metro station. The rooms were very comfortable, some smaller that others. Most had a good view, but some rooms didnot have a balcony. Overall, there were 6 of us who would all definately use the hotel again. The Mercure Delta Colosseo was an surprising good experience for us. We had wieved the rating before our visit, but were very pleased. Nice hotel and super location. The rooms are small, but nice and clean and with a nice bathroom. Effektive elevators. Vere nice breakfast buffet also including af few, hot dishes. Excellent hotel. Room, and particularly the bathroom, are small. However, it's very clean and in good condition. Rooftop bar and pool are stunning - watching the sun sink behind the Colosseum is breathtaking.

Basically the staff doesn't care if you're happy or not, or even if you have air conditioning or anything else they promise you on the web site. Not worth the location to deal with the hassles and staff. lots of other hotels near by that met expectations of service.

The pictures you see are not a good example of the hotel. The rooms are dirty and the hallways are worse! The rooms are very small and the beds touch the wall! Don't stay here.

we had been booked at eurostars saint-john but we were sent to another hotel by them siting unbeleveable stories of elecrical failure on one floor.

"Not a 4 star"
Yes the hotel is close to the historical area, but that all it has going for it. The rooms are very small and the showers are tiny. Hotel looks dated and needs a makeover. Pool and bar are the only good thing about this place. Had problems with the air conditioner and they solved it by bring a fan to the room. The staff made no attempt to fix the problem. "Great Location next to Collessum"
Hotel was 5 minutes stroll from Collessum, nice very rooftop bar next to swimming pool. Hotel clean and tidy although downstairs bar didn't appear to be open. Staff understood English well and helpful. Would recommend hotel for young couples who are happy to explore Rome on foot or via tourist buses.
"Good Location, But Dirty Rooms"
Real good location to the Colosseum, but hotel needs to be updated. My single bed room on the 2nd floor was a non-smoking room but smelled to high heaven of smoke and must. Air conditioner could not be adjusted, nasty stains on the floor, bathroom shower curtain was messed up, all the water from the shower was leaking onto the bathroom floor. Not able […] to give me ice to chill a bottle of wine. If you have a rental car, do not use the parking garage, find free parking on the next street a block to the northwest. Great hotell with pool and a magnificant view from the top floor. Very helpful and serviceminded staff. Two alternative breakfast, Italan 6 € and American 15 €. Perfect location! Small room but clean and quiet.

Though my one person room was extremely small the location was great. the shower was also very small which was the only thing i was a little disappointed with but it wasnt so small that i couldnt still enjoy my shower. after reading some of the other reviews, this hotel was better than i had been expecting.

"Disappointment, Look Someplace Else"
We spent 5 days at this hotel on vacation. The pictures as well as favorable reviews led me to book here. I was very disappointed. I honestly do not know why this hotel is so highly rated. The rating is the main reason I booked here. I am a frequent traveler both domestically as well as internationally so I have a decent perspective with regard to accommodations. The […] location is about the only thing this hotel has going for it. It is close to the colosseum, the forum, as well as the Metro stop. This is where the good part ends. Some of the other complaints of customers are well founded. The air conditioner didn't work properly which made the room sweltering hot. There is a tiny bathroom with a very small shower. In our room the water did not properly drain in the shower and constantly spilled all over the floor. The beds were not very comfortable and seemed to be pretty short. One of the reviews mentioned that the hotel had free Internet access in the lobby, this is absolutely not the case. Internet access is rather pricey and billed by the hour. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything going on in the adjacent rooms and vice versa. Very annoying with people coming and going at all hours of the night. We had one of the superior rooms which has a glass balcony of which you could walk out on to see the small sliver of the colosseum visible from it. What you don't find out until after you book is that you share this balcony with the adjacent room. Not very good if your room's air conditioner doesn't work and you want to open the door to let some air in. The overall room size is pretty small as well, but livable if you are not planning on spending so much time in it. The satellite TV basically consists of a couple of news channels that are in English. Once again, not a huge deal if you aren't in the room that much. "Bad experience"
Location is great but the rooms (we got 2) are pretty dirty and with a bad smell (sew). The next day at 8:00 AM they begun a power drill till 11:00 AM. It doesn't like as a Mercure Hotel or even as a Accor hotel.

The hotel is a block and a half away from the Colloseum and metro - so there is easy access to transportation. The room is convenient and clean but do not expect more. There is just enough room for a twin bed, a small desk and small tv. Bathroom is no more than a 4 x 4. The bed was hard and pillow flat; however, it is clean. "Perfect!"
The hotel was perfect! It has a lovely roof deck with infinity pool on one side and a bar with modern couches, tables and greenery on the other. The staff was fantastic and the rooms quite big for Rome. The Collesuem was a block from the hotel as were many delicious eateries.

My wife and I booked this hotel for a four night stay to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We chose it as it was a little away from the centre of the city, although as it is between metro stations for both A and B lines, (a short walk away), getting to the major sights was very easy. We walked to the Pantheon from the hotel which took about 30 […] minutes, but saw so much more on the way. We booked a superior room and were very pleased to have a stunning view of the colossuem. Not all rooms have this view, although there is a rooftop pool, (only 1 metre deep), terrace and bar with fabulous views of the city. As other people have pointed out, the rooms are not large. The view we take is that the location is more important and the room is just somewhere to sleep at the end of the day! However, the en-suite bathroom was annoyingly small. In a space about six feet by six, they have jammed in a shower, (impossible to bend down to pick up anything you drop!), toilet, basin and bidet. The only way to dry yourself after a shower was to do so in the bedroom. Personally, I think that the bidet could have been removed to make better use of the floorspace. That having been said, we had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel and would go back. I could imagine though that having a room without as decent a view as we had could change one's opinion of the hotel. Mehr

As the title says this hotel had a great location. Pros: Location overlooking the Colosseum Nice rooftop pool and bar Room was relatively clean Cons: Small stand up shower Lobby makes it look newer than it really was When they say a single room they mean it. Great location. Bus stop and metro nearby. We got room with the view to Colosseum. It was amazing to see it every morning and every evening. The hotel and the room were great, modern and stylish. I liked the roof bar it had nice views and my favourite pina-colada cocktail!

We stayed 5 days in a superior room. Not that big, but big enough, and nice bathroom with tub. We had view directly to colloseum (small round window though, but also view from joint small balcony) The pool on the roof is very nice. you can actually swim while looking at the colloseum, and its nice with a swim after a day of sightseeing. We stayed here for two nights and found this hotel is one of the only hotels in Rome that does not include breakfast. The rooms are adequate around the motel 6 rating. The internett service is a nightmare. It is in a wonderful location and they stowed our bags for one day a we went to Venice and rechecked back in to the worst room on our stay. Too small […] filthy carpets and torn up walls. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone who was was asking for anything better than a two star hotel Mehr

"Great Location - Fab pool"
For a family travelling to Rome in August this hotel was the best, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was pleasant and clean BUT the best bit was the location - we could walk to the Colosseum and San Clemente was a favourite. The rooftop pool was fantastic - a great way to cool off after a hot day sightseeing.

Hotel Mercure Colosseo is so central you can't believe it. It is walking distance from all the main sights that you will want to visit. It is a great base from which to view all of Romes best attractions. The hotel is very clean and modern throughout. The bar on the roof is a great place to relax and recuperate in the evening and watch the sun set. "Very good hotel if only the rooms were bigger"
It is true to say the room and beds were a little small and I did bang my head on the shower which is a shock for someone under six foot but the Hotel was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. We never had a problem getting served at the bar but to honest there is a supermarket near by if you want to go cheap on the drinks. The metro is a five mins […] walk that takes you past the Col and gets you to every part of the city. There is a great restaurant nearby and a few ok ones. The pool on the roof is a winner, although it can get busy if you want a sun lounger. Just a note, the park behind the hotel does get a little dodgy, some rough elements there and it is covered in the doings of dogs. All in all I enjoyed my stay and though it was a great location, quite enough to sleep but close enough to stagger home. Would recommend for couples wanting a get away and families. Mehr

Great location, very helpful staff..Sergio with fabulous restaurant locations and bar staff very friendly. Roof top pool with the outstanding views was a perfect way to unwind after a long day of walking and sight seeing. Will definitely make this my home base the next time I am in Rome!

"Recomendo"
Excelente localização, muito proximo do Coliseu Romano, Forum Romano e Palatino; proximo a uma estação de metro, com restaurantes proximos com boa comida. O Hotel mantem o padrão Mercury, com quartos bem confortáveis e excelente café da manhã. Oferece também estacionamento no subsolo.

Ok beliggenhet. Like ved Colusseum, men et stykke å gå til sentrum. Traffikert vei utenfor. Frokost inkludert. Grei pris. Små rom. Fin takterasse. Vannflasker i minibar var gratis.

Dette hotellet har en meget flott og relativt sentral beliggenhet i Roma. Hotellets største fortrinn er den store takterrassen med svømmebasseng og en fantastisk utsikt mot Collosseum, som ligger bare 2 - 300 meter unna, med Vittorio Emmanuel- slottet rett bak. Hotellet ligger også sentralt plassert m.h.t. T-bane-nettet, der en av stasjonene ligger […] rett over gaten for Collosseum. Man kan jo nå de fleste severdigheter med T-banen (Peters-kirken, Spanske-trappen, Trevifontenen) ! -Hotellet anbefales på det varmeste ! Mehr
