The Arlington Hotel, Temple Bar - Dublin

Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut, die Lage ist optimal für Besichtigungen und Pub- Touren; Frühstück war für den hotelgästepreis ebenfalls sehr gut;einziger Nachteil ist dass es sehr laut ist, da es an einer sehr belebten Straße liegt;

Die Zimmer sind recht klein und auch schon etwas abgewohnt. Das Personal ist aber sehr liebenswürdig und hilfsbereit. Saubere Zimmer. DIe Lage des Hotels ist für einen touristischen Kurzaufenthalt in Dublin unschlagbar: Busanbindung an den Flugplatz direkt vor der Tür; die wichtigisten Sehenswürdigkeiten können zu Fuß erreicht werden; der Temple Bar […] Bezirk mit seinen legendären Pubs ebenfalls. Wer es abends bequem möchte, bleibt einfach im Haus und sieht sich bei gutem essen udn selbstgezapftem Guiness die irische Show mit Livemusik und Tanz an. Mehr

Das Gute: Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben nach einem ruhigen Zimmer gefragt und eines bekommen. Es ist sauber und die Lage ist wirklich prima. In Temple Bar und trotzdem ruhig. (Wir waren von Freitag auf Samstag da.) Der Haken: Unser Zimmer war klitzeklein und auch schon etwas ramponiert. Vor allem das Bad war renovierungsbedürftig […] (gammlige Fugen, gebrochene Fliesen, dunkel). Achtung: Wasserdruck in der Dusche ist sehr bescheiden. Fazit: Für eine preisgünstige Nacht perfekt! We had a very enjoyable stay at the Arlington hotel. The loaction is good (about a five minute walk from Temple Bar) and the surrounding area is fine. The staff were very helpful throughout and the breakfast in the morning was quite nice too. The room was clean with a decent tv however was a little warm in the mornings for my liking.. The bar downstairs […] was pretty good however, as they have a nightly "trad/ dancing music thing" that is geared towards (i would imagine) non-Irish people, we avoided as best we could the bar. Granted, there are plenty of other bars around, it would have been nice to avoid the painful rendititions of "dirty old town" et al. and have a convenient pint. one of the best hotels i have ever stayed in the staff were very helpful and friendly. i would make this a four star hotel in my opinion it really deserves it.

While the hotel is old and a bit worn, we loved it. Perfect location close to hop-on hop off and city link bus to/from airport. And, right across from castle and easy walk to Guinness, etc.. Loved the restaurant atmosphere and food. Staff in lobby and restaurant were great! Love Dublin and this particular hotel.

We were very happy and satisfied. Good priced and location perfect. Many good and nice restaurants around. We did not eat breakfast but we had a few drinks in the bar.Good wines! Very comfortable room. Not your regular run of the mill hotel room. Old style. A lot to see and enjoy at hotel and nearby. Staff were very friendly.

The Hotel is an old building but it is clean, the staff are more than lovely. My only gripe would be that in a doubleroom it is two single beds pushed together and it makes for a very uncomfortable night. I have stayed a number of times simply because it is so close to work and in a relatively quiet area. Booked incorrect date, needed to swap from a Wednesday to a Thursday. Wouldn't allow it, no changing, no refunds, no flexibility at all. Absolutely infuriating. And the room was seriously below par.

In the heart of the Temple Bar area of the city, just across the street from Dublin Castle. Great entertainment inn the hotel bar, great prices of the food available, especially breakfast and friendly staff. I would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the city of Dublin..

The hotel was located in a great part of town. Walking distance to just about everything. The staff is very friendly & helpful. Room was comfortable. Not a great view, but wasn't there to look out the window. Restaurant and bar were good. Had some noisy party people up all night, but didn't mind. A bit of confusion finding hotel. Centrally located within walking distance from Tons of bars, shopping, tourist attractions. Super helpful and friendly staff available 24/7. Great restaurant with a nightly Irish show. Would stay there again.

Convenient location, perhaps even a little too convenient as this impacted on the noise level from surrounding bars, revellers etc. Front facing rooms had high noise level from road - soon got used to that. This hotel in a very convenient central location was very good value for money and I was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely recommend the hotel.

great hotel great location for the Temple Bar area of Dublin excellent value only fault could have done with a better shower. also outside the hotel there was an extractor fan going 24/7 which was disturbing if you needed the window open

I should admit , I enjoyed staying here. The location is outstanding and the room fairly large. But boy is it noisy .We were on the street and you could hear everything .We had a white noise machine and I put in ear plugs at night and coped very well .The beds could have used new mattresses. The hotel was fine, its clean and comfortable. The fan in the room didn't work but for it wasn't a major issue. Hotel is in an old building so its nice and homely.

Do not stay on a Sat. nite there is a disco in the basement that played very loud music till 3:30 am & people in the alley just below your window till 4am. Good location otherwis to Temple \bar & Christchurch area. The Guiness tour was good.

Hotel is in a good central location, the staff were friendly, room was comfortable and the breakfast was good too, however paying for it was a little different from other hotels (I took advantage of a pre-booked breakfast with the use of a voucher/ticket) which makes for a good discount as opposed to going down for breakfast without pre-booking. My […] room was large and spacious but the bathroom was quite small but it did the trick for my stay of one night. In the room the decor was a little dated but it was comfortable, quiet and well maintained and great value. I would recommend this hotel and stay again should the need arise. Mehr

the people working there are very, very nice and when i complained they gave me a larger room, but the rooms are in total disrepair. everything was not working from the door knob to the neon light in the bathroom. the beds are old and uneven, the toilette seat was smaller than the bowl so it was moving and i fell like i was falling in. but the people […] working there were very nice and helpful. Great place to stay if you want to be in the Temple Bar district. The rooms are big enough although the bathroom is quite small. It is clean with tea and coffee in the room. Breakfast was very good and a reasonable price. Very good value hotel and would recommend to stay here. We would stay again!

very convenient location.the room was too warm and stuffy so had to keep the windows open with constant loud noise from generators outside - not a good night's sleep.

Great location- everything is in good walking distance. Clean, spacey rooms. Friendly staff. Great bar downstairs. The floors are a little creaky, so there is some noise, but nothing too bad at all.

the room were to the highest standard considering the price. the hotel situated in temple bar is in the very centre of Dublin, at walking distance to allt he main amenitties. all range of restaurant and pubs within 5 meters of the hotel. rooms are clean and very big

Take green bus 747 from airport to Christ Church station you will see the hotel on the bus. Amazing venue and the restaurant in the hotel is so amazing , best choice in Dublin!

Very friendly staff and helpful....easily changed my room for a more comfortable bed. Small bathrooms and a bit worn in appearance. Close to everything but a bit noisey at night.

Clean room, good location, downstairs in the bar it has good entertainment with some food. The shower does not have much pressure however it is expected in Europe and in Ireland

Nice location on dame st. No Parking except in garage near by which was 15 euro for the night. Price was right for room at 55 euro. Bar meun was a little expensive and poor in choice.

Not very expensive. Location VERY good (Temple Bar area). Room in 2.floor - never any problem with music from ground floor, but alittle traffic noise. Clean and ok room (got a very! small and cramped room at first, but they gave us a bigger the next day when we asked - no extra pay). Will choose this hotel again for sure!

This hotel was in an absolutely wonderful location, we were able to walk in any direction and get to someplace wonderful. It is in the Temple Bar district. The hotel is at a very convenient location. I always walked to and from downtown area and it took me less than 10 mins. Staff was very friendly.

I am a fan of this hotel. Second time I have stayed there. Not too far of a walk from the Temple Bar district. About a 10 minute walk from the Guinness Storehouse.

room felt small and cramped good food close to main tourist sites lot of noise in surrounding areas in the early hours of the morning thought the window would not have being open fully and there should have being a restricor on it

Fantastic location in the heart of Dublin and quiet enough at night to sleep. It is a pleasant and clean hotel but needs maintenance. This is the 2nd time I've stayed here in 3 yrs but wasn't as satisfied this trip. I stayed a block away in a fresher hotel but the noise at night was much less noticeable at the Arlington.

The Arlington, Temple Bar, puts your right where the action is... It's right across from the Dublin Castle and the Chester Beatty Museum, one block from Christ Church, and in Temple Bar if you like fun night life. The Hop On, Hop Off Dublin Bus Tour stops just across the street. On top of that, the hotel has a nice restaurant and free Irish music and […] dancing every night. The price is very reasonable for such a great location. We enjoyed it so much we came back when we returned from our Killarney trip. Mehr

The Arlington was a real find as far as I was concerned. I was in Dublin to sit exams so was worried that the noise from the Irish dancing show in the bar would disturb me, but I couldn't hear it at all from my room on the 3rd floor, nor could I hear it on a previous visit from the 2nd floor. The rooms are extremely warm, and on my last visit I didn't […] have a working fan, but this time around I did and it made all the difference. The staff were very friendly and helpful, but I asked for a wakeup call one morning which was never made, so don't rely on them alone to wake you! The location of the Arlington is brilliant, it's less than a minute from the Olympia Theatre, across the road from Dublin City Hall and Dublin Castle, 2 minutes from the centre of Temple Bar, 5 minutes to the Red Luas line and 5 minutes to Grafton St through the George St Arcade. It really is within walking distance of everything in the city centre, and Dame St/Lord Edmund St is really safe, even at night there's never any trouble there. I stayed there on my own this time around, and as a 21 year old girl I felt perfectly safe walking around on my own at night which is saying something! There are tons of restaurants and bars and cafes nearby, so there's plenty to choose from, and most will have offers for lunch or dinner. All in all, the Arlington took all the hassle out of going to Dublin for exams, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Dublin, whether for business or pleasure. The rates are generally quite good, especially through hotels.com, and the hotel is much nicer than others in the same price range. Mehr

Right Across the Dublin Castle, and a very short distance walk from all the Top 10 Dublin Destinations. Entertainment nightly at the hotel restaurant. A+

Room was good clean bed linen. Noise radiators in the middle of the night. Food of a standard of a greasy chipper and in no way worth the price they are charging. Very frendly staff at receiption.

hotel is most convenient place to all bars and attractions in and around temple bar and central Dublin, The staff wer very friendly and most helpful. We had a wonderful stay.
