Das Mediterranean Inn liegt etwas außerhalb des Zentrums Seattles in der Nähe des Seattle Centers (mit Space Needle). Es ist bequem per Bus (tageszeitabhängiger Preis zwischen $2,25 und $2,50) zu erreichen. Gleich nebenan ist ein Starbucks, dessen Kaffeeduft in die Lobby des Hotels zieht. Unser Zimmer war mit einer Mikrowelle, Spüle und einem Kühlschrank sowie großen Flachbildschirm ausgestattet. Leider hatte es keinen Safe, was aber nicht schlimm war. Das Bad war sauber und groß. Leider ohne Fenster. Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer ging in den Innenhof des Hotels. Schade aber nicht so schlimm, denn die Dachterrasse des Hotels erlaubt einen Blick über Seattle. Die Angestellten des Hotels machten einen netten und hilfsbereiten Eindruck und haben uns auch um 4 Uhr morgens bei unsere Abreise geholfen. Das Hotel verfügt über WLAN und ein Business Center. Das WLAN ist für $5 pro Tag nutzbar und kann mit einem Fahrradausleihprogramm (in Summe $7,99) kombiniert werden. Im Sommer bestimmt sehr sinnvoll. Das Business Center ist kostenlos nutzbar (ebenso wie die Drucker und Faxgeräte darin). Außerdem verfügt das Hotel über einen Fitnessraum und diverse Münzwaschmaschinen und Trockner). Noch etwas zur Umgebung. In unmittelbarer Nähe (3-5 min zu Fuß) sind diverse Restaurants, Kneipen und auch ein Kino. Ebenso wie ein Safeway Supermarkt.

Komfortable großzügige Zimmer, unseres mit komplett eingerichteter Küche. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet mit Obst, Joghurt, Müsli etc. Minishop und ebenfalls ein kleiner Starbucks sind auch im Hotel vorhanden. Die Lage ist der einzige Minuspunkt für uns gewesen, da sehr weit vom Innenstadtbereich entfernt (zu Fuß ca. 25 Minuten). Ebenfalls direkt an der Interstate gelegen, somit 24 Stunden die Autos zu hören.

Die Vorzüge des Hotels sind eindeutig: 1.) Die ausgezeichnete Lage für Reisende die möglichst schnell (ca. 200 m zu Fuß) vom Hotel bis zu Check-In Schalter kommen möchten. Wegen der Kürze des Weges geht das sogar zu Fuß bei Regen ohne Schirm! 2.) Die unmittelbare Nähe (ca. 250 m) zum LightRail Link zwischen Flughafen und Seattle Downtown, wobei die Tageskarte ca. 5$ kostet. Fahrtzeit ca. 35 Minuten. Ansonsten war das Hotel älter in der Ausstattung (ungefähr 70er Jahre Bauzeit) mit einigen Upgrades (z.B. zwei neue Flachbildschirme). Das Standard-Zimmer (Bad, Schlafzimmer, Auftenhaltsraum) war sauber. Die Lounch und der Frühstücksbereich des Hotels gepflegt. Das Frühstück war hingegen nur Durchschnitt, so daß man eher in Seattle Downtown frühstücken möchte. Der sehr Nahe gelegene Flughafen bietet diesbezüglich auch nur wenig an. Einzige Kritikpunkte meines Zimmers auf der Seite zum Flughafen war der laute Straßenverkehr des 'Internationl Boulevard' for dem Hotel (der Fluglärm hingegen war gut erträglich). Und die Klimaanlage, welche in Seattle aber selten nötig wäre, wenn man das Fenster öffenen könnte. Das ging zwar mechanisch problemlos, aber bei dem Straßenverkehr-Krach ... Ich würde das Hotel dennoch weiterempfehlen. In der Summe war es rund.

Die Klimaanlage in dem Zimmer musste den ganzen heizen, damit es abends nicht zu kalt wird. Das Bad wurde gar nicht von der Wärme gar nicht betroffen und war entsprechend frisch.
Lage
Alexis Hotel, a Kimpton Hotel befindet sich mitten in Seattle in der Nähe von: Seattle Art Museum und Columbia Center. Nicht weit entfernt befinden sich: Pike Place Market und Washington State Convention & Trade Center.
Ausstattung
Alexis Hotel, a Kimpton Hotel stellt Ihnen Folgendes zur Verfügung: Wellnesscenter, Dampfbad und Fitnessstudio (rund um die Uhr geöffnet). Ein kostenloser W-LAN Internetzugang steht in den öffentlichen Bereichen zur Verfügung. Dieses Hotel mit 4 Sternen hat Geschäftsreisenden Folgendes zu bieten: Businesscenter (rund um die Uhr geöffnet), Tagungsräume für kleine Gruppen und Tagungstechnik. Dieses Hotel sorgt auch für das leibliche Wohl. Vor Ort gibt es Folgendes: 2 Restaurants sowie Bar/Lounge. Das Hotelpersonal hilft Ihnen gerne bei allen Fragen weiter. Die Betten in den Zimmern haben Pillowtop-Matratzen sowie italienische Bettbezüge von Frette, Dreifachlaken und Daunenbetten. Ein W-LAN Highspeed-Internetzugang steht den Gästen kostenlos zur Verfügung. Die Zimmer verfügen über folgende Ausstattung: LCD-Fernseher mit Kabel-TV-Empfang, Videospielkonsolen und Pay-TV. Zur Zimmerausstattung gehören außerdem: Schreibtische, ergonomische Stühle sowie Telefone mit mehreren Leitungen und Voicemail. Die Innenstadt von Seattle erstreckt sich entlang des Puget Sound vom historischen Pioneer Square im Süden bis zum schicken Belltown im Norden. Dazwischen reihen sich Bürogebäude, Einkaufsgalerien und Apartments in Backsteinhäusern an den grünen Boulevards aneinander. Hier befinden sich das Kongresszentrum und Pike Place Market, wo Lachse fliegen können. Gäste sollten auch unbedingt die futuristische öffentliche Hauptbibliothek besuchen. Die Zwillingsstadien Seattles und der International District liegen südlich von der Innenstadt.

"Great place to stay"
We had a great time. The suite was totally worth it. Loved, loved the trees outside the windows, our bedroom window was the best in the hotel. Very convenient location for dining, shopping, meeting locals. Staff was excellent, we appreciated their great attitudes and service.

Great Stay. Located close to the Light Rail (which runs to and from the SEATAC), coffee shops, restaraunts and the Market. Will stay there next time I'm in town. Try to avoid the Belltown area (north of Pike Place Market) and Pioneer Square at night.

The room is so lovely, spacious, terrific art work, very comfortable beds and furniture. Unfortunately, very noisey - the street noise permeates the room. All the buses and trucks sound like they are in the room with reverberation. Counter space in the bathroom would be a plus as there is none of it. Not for light sleepers. We were on the 2nd floor. "My new home away from home!"
I've now stayed at The Alexis for 6 nights, two separate occasions, in the last 30 days. And it hit me on this last trip why I like The Alexis so much - one of the remaining free things we can offer each other is a little bit of humanity, with each interaction we have. From David the Bellman/Valet, to Lisa behind the front desk, to Lindsey and the rest […] of the staff - they do this effortlessly. If you want to win my heart and loyalty - you do this just because. If you want to forever impact me - you also treat my daughter this way when she accompanies me. And they do this - and it is a bit like coming 'home'. So if your'e looking for more than a bed and somewhere to rest your head - come home to The Alexis. Mehr

Upscale, but not too snooty. Attached bar is a plus and had an excellent breakfast at their restaurant. Temperature of the room was fine except during sleep it got a bit too warm. Could have used a convenient outlet for cell phone charger. Had a non-user-friendly alarm/radio. Convenient limo service to the airport which the hotel was able to add to […] the hotel bill. "Dog"
My mother and I just LOVED that your hotel is dog friendly. I live in the San Juan Islands in Wa State and can never get my husband to go to the city w me because he never wants to leave the dogs at home. Now he has no excuse!

Within walking distance to all major attractions in Seattle and on the 99 bus route which is free during the day. Would definitely recommend.

"Alexis hotel - I expected better"
We booked this room last minute for a weekend getaway and got a fairly good price - but the room was awful! Should have been a closet. No storage in the bathroom whatsoever and there was a huge armoire in the entry which made it extremely awkward to enter. Good thing I'm not overweight. Hotel staff did not respond to our complaints AT ALL - told us […] hotel was full and there was nothing to be done. I called in the middle of the night about a noisy fan that kept waking us up and the phone rang for 20 minutes unanswered. They should be embarrassed - I expected much better. Mehr

Rooms are quite tight. Memories of small European rooms. Other Kimpton properties in town are a better value. But it was still a great stay.

A nice looking hotel and close to what you want to do downtown. The elevators smelled like dirty dish water and the room smelled like a cat box. Not worth the price you have to pay. Don't forget when you stay here, if you have a car, you must pay the $36 parking fee.
I am so sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your stay with us. I have not had any other guest comments about a smell at the hotel, but we do appreciate your feedback. Typically the Aveda Spa spreads a very fresh and clean smell throughout the hotel, so I am am suprised that you had a different experience. I hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you back for another smell!

Very lovely Hotel, staff and rooms. Rooms are decorated to feel more like a unique home than a standard Hotel room. Would happily stay again. Pet friendly-they might want to re-think their policy which would include that pets can not be let in the room unattended, barking from a dog next door was a bit irritating.
Alexis in Seattle ticks most boxes Good location,very tasteful decor, fine room and very attentive service The only negative , and it turned out to be significant was a bed and pillows that were simply too soft to get a good night's sleep

"Lovely hotel in Great Location"
The Alexis Hotel was the perfect place to stay for our anniversary! Our room was great with fantastic modern style, and we were greeted with white wine and berries upon arrival. The front desk staff and concierge were very friendly and recommended some excellent restaurants for dinners. Complimentary wine hour in the lobby is fabulous, making all of […] the guests feel really welcome and special. We loved the location, as we were able to walk everywhere, from the Space Needle to Safeco Field and Pioneer Square, and it is only a few blocks away from Pike Place Market. The only downside is that parking fees are not included in the stay, so it cost close to $40 per day just to keep our vehicle parked in the parkade. Overall a fun first trip to Seattle. Mehr

"Always charming"
When I stay with this hotel chain, I am always pleased. Every time I travel to Seattle I pay a little more and book a Kimpton Hotel. Not only are they exceptionally polite, the various hotels in the chain each offer something unique and it makes the stay that much more memorable. The hotel was amazing and the staff was wonderful. The location is convenient.
We were very pleased with the hotel quality and the friendly staff. My only complaint is that our 2nd floor room had a lot of noise from 1st Ave nightlife.

Our recent stay at The Alexis Hotel was wonderful. The hotel is located within walking distance to all major tourist destinations and great restaurants. We stayed in a spa suite and were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room. The bathroom including jetted, spa tub was very likely the largest hotel bathroom I have ever encountered. It was wonderful. […] The room was complete with living area, desk/internet connection and a large closet! The artwork decorating the common areas of the hotel as well as the room added a great touch to the overall theme and feel of the hotel. The only negative comment I can make about the hotel is that the fee for parking a car as an overnight guest is quite expensive. We will definitely stay at The Alexis Hotel on future visits to Seattle and will recommend to our friends. Mehr

We stayed at Alexis over the memorial weekend for our Anniversary. We were very impressed by the art work ad decor of the hotel! It is nicely decorated. The room is spacious and unique. THere was a champagn with a card on the writing desk wishing us a happy Anniversary. Location is great. There is a bar downstair called Book Store. Very cozy and cool. […] Oh there is a happy hour where they give out free wine! The only 2 negative things are 1) During our stay, the elevator got stuck on the 5th floor! 2) The air conditioning doesnt get that cold and not accurate. "Beautiful hotel...not fully friendly for business"
Gorgeous comfortable rooms. But a little loud at times. Great for vacation, but not fully friendly for business travelers unless you have an unlimited expense account. No in room coffee makers. Everything is room service or the pricey lounge downstairs. And limited surface space for spreading out business materials.
