Days Inn Woodbridge - Iselin

I do not recommend this hotel! We got into our room where we found paint peeling off the walls and hair in our beds. There was also a domestic violence situation going on when we got there. There was 8 police cars and drunk people everywhere. It is worth your money to stay someplace a little more expensive than to stay here.

This is a truck stop not a days inn

Talk about nasty! Ugh, the website says it has a 3.2 satsifaction rating, there is NO way anyone in their right mind would give this establishment that high a rating. There was trash in the lobby, filth on the door, the toilet was not clean, there was dust in the curtains and the AC unit. The linen was threadbare and tissue paper thin.

the room i paid for was a double and recieved a king single with no compensation for price.arrived to hotel early only to be told 4 hours later that i can pay additional money to check in early even though i explained that i had driven 12 hours to get there. paying it was not a problem, the problem was that this could have been told tom me earlier.my […] guests and i ended up sleeping in the car for three hours in the parking lot because of this and i still paid to check in early. the continental breakfast was by far the worst ever..bitter coffee, warm milk and stale coffee cake. the bathroom was filthy and the toilet did not flush properly and the comforter had not been washed. Nonsmoking room stunk of smoke. Cigarette burns in comforter. Crusty stains on sheets. Not enough towels. Thin walls. Cobwebs in corners on room.

The key card for the room did not work which made staying there quite an inconvience. We could not enter the room unless we went to the front desk and asked someone to open it every time.

The room was not clean. There was mold on the tiles in the bathroom, dirt and make-up on the phone, stains on the carpet and furniture, an old bedspread with threads pulled in it and two of the pillows had an unpleasant odor. There was also dust on the furniture and the aid conditioner was off despite the 90+ temperature outside - it took about 2 hours […] for the room to cool off. The light on the phone was blinking, indicating messages. I called and there were none. When I reported this to the front desk, asking how to get the light to stop blinking, they told me there was a problem with the system and the light would just keep blinking. I finally covered it with one of the smelly pillows so it would not keep me awake. Also the alarm clock didn't work. I can't believe I stayed there - prepaid or not! Mehr

Front desk staff did not seem to want to help, had to call and go to the desk several times to get a replacement coffee pot. The one in the room did not work. Finally the housekeeper got me a new one. Every time I had a question for the front desk, that acted like I was disturbing them. the hotel is in need of major maintenance and repair. convienient to shoping malls and hyways

When I checked in after the posted check in time, the owner or one of the many family members that apparently live on property, told me our room wasn't ready and to try back in an hour. I sat in my hot car for the hour since there is nothing around this hotel. When I went back to check in a different person told me my room was ready and checked me in. […] I lugged my bags upstairs to find that my room hadn't been cleaned at all. I told the man at the desk and he told me to sit in the lobby and he'd take care of it. Ten minutes later he left the spot to go find the housekeeping staff. It took almost 45 minutes for my room to be cleaned and it wasn't done well. The whole stay was pretty much like this. Just stay away. Mehr

Not a fancy hotel, by any means, but good if you like things low-key. Staff basically leaves you alone. Good for self-sufficient travelers --don't ask the staff for a lot, though. (I asked for change of a five-dollar bill so I could buy soda and snacks in the vending machines, and they could not manage to come up with it. Yes, there are potholes in […] the parking lot (hopefully to be fixed -- it was a bad winter) and the internet network is weak. But it is by no means the noisy or dirty place former reviewers claimed. The rooms are not really deep-cleaned -- there are stains on carpet and walls -- but they are swept, vacuumed, and generally kept up. And I didn't see bugs of any sort. Mehr

just nasty, stay far away

People who run this hotel do not have any clue what clean environment is supposed to look like. Dust is many years old. Stained carpet, bed sheets. Bath towels have marks of lipstick and hairs and G-d knows what else. Room was stinky. No iron and ironing board in the rooms. Horrible experience.

This hotel is just off the highway behind a chinese restaurant. Originally I requested a smoking room, but that room was so bad that another room had to be requested. The non-smoking room had just been renovated and was much nicer. If you stay here and get a renovated room, those look exceptional. Upon seeing the price i was immediately surprised, especially for the area. When I arrived, I was not asked for a card or any type of identification. I was simply handed a room key and directed towards my room. When I entered the room it smelled like a strong odor of cigarette smoke. There were holes in the bed and the sheets had male lovestains on […] them. The walls and couch were also covered with these lovestains. I then changed my room only to find a several vicodine pills in the sheets and behind the nightstand. Not to mention the bed was extremely uncomforatble. The price is great, the hotel is not. Mehr

The hotel room was pretty decent. The guy at the front desk wasn't that friendly, but he wasn't rude either. The room was nice, but the WIFI could have been better. The surrounding area is decent but its easy to get confused because you can't make left turns. The only bad thing is the parking lot. If you're driving through it at night, be careful. I called the hotel before my trip for some information and I found them to be not very nice or helpful. Received continuous runarounds and totally disinterested. Never staying there again..

This Hotel has all what you need only if you go to sleep.Well maintened, clean, good location. Be ready to go somewhere else after you have breakfast the first day. Too lightand no variaty.

After reading some of the reviews, I had mixed feelings about booking here. Upon arrival, I was able to check in early with courteous service. The room was clean and I was impressed with the low rate, yet pretty decent accommodations. As a single mom traveling with two children, I felt safe in the neighborhood and did not worry about parking my car […] at the hotel. You need a car to travel to the NJ Transit, but the transit is only a few minutes away and you can park for a about $5-9 for the day. It was worth staying at this hotel and riding the train into the city. The bonus was that children ride free from 7pm Friday-6am Monday! We are planning to return to the area after Christmas so that we are able to enjoy NYC without the huge Christmas crowds. All in all, it was a great, inexpensive weekend trip. The only complaint is not related to the hotel, but the over abundance of one way streets which made traveling to restaurants challenging. Bring a GPS for sure! Mehr

Overall rundown, somewhat dirt. holes in bed spreads, carpeting, skeeved me out to be honest. Had a no smoking room but it reaked of smoke. ick - won't be staying here again

Nice clean affordable hotel with excellent service.

The hotel was horrible. It was so dirty, smelled and there was no type of managment. I switched into 3 rooms and all 3 of them was horrible. Carpet was dirty, toilet didn't flush, had a rustic old smell and it was dark and disgusting. I wouldn't not recommend this hotel to anyone. Spent the weekend with significant other to relax. This is not the hotel you want to stay in if you are looking for comfort or relaxation. Room was small, (Clean) electrical outlet was exposed (bad for small children) Hall way smelled of cats (due to must accumulating during the hot summer months) Hotel was quiet overall (suggest getting breakfast elsewhere […] unless you are comfortable with bare minimum). Close to Rte 1&9 Parks and shopping nearby make it an OK stay. Overall it got the job done...if you need a place to lay your head and spend the day out of the facility. Mehr
