Has a great location walking distance to plaza and sites! Like Hilton expensive for food and drinks (2 double drinks $46). Service is great with knowledgeable staff. I went with girlfriend and very comfortable with her! Would stay there again next time I go!

Convenient to main plaza, resaurants, and bars. Parking can be difficult in this area but hotel does have garage parking for a daily fee. Hotel staff were very friendly and genuinely seemed interested in making sure your stay was enjoyable.

It was all ups and downs. First night we had to move our room because of a dog barking for over and hour and hotel unable to resolve it. We were not apprised of what was happening after our first complaint call and needed to call desk a second time. New room was a nice upgrade that was good.second morning we were awakened at 7:40 in the a.m. with workmen […] pounding, drilling etc... Not good. Next day they waited till 9: a.m. good but in room next door so we really needed to leave for the day. Room service and other service people were great and helpful and friendly. So ups and down to our stay. Plus we e-mailed from home to inquire if we had left an item in the hotel room and never got a reply. so not good. Mehr

Great hotel, but a little pricey. Have stayed there twice in the past year. My only complaint both times was slow service at the front desk. They usually only have 1 person regardless of the number of patrons waiting for assistance.

Call to make sure pool will be open!!! Super pretty and comfortable hotel, but lacked in service. Rooftop pool was closed, which was the main appeal of the hotel in the 1st place (no other way to be on the roof). Parking your car was $24 even for guests, which I found unreasonable. Spa was nice and had a welcoming staff.

wonderful value, especially with winter rates. hotel personal extremely helpful and friendly. excellent food, drinks and atmosphere in their lounge--aguave room , i think. comfortable lobby..right in down town santa fe.

Extremely nice, upscale hotel in downtown Santa Fe.

overpriced for a king room. constant noise from hallway. Fridge is worn out and seems in danger of falling out of cabinet when door is opened. Bed and bath are nice..as are linens but really pricy given the other issues on a holiday weekend. Some kind of brown gunk was dripped on the outside windows. Excellent location! We will stay there every time we go to Santa Fe. Love, love, love this hotel! The bedding and pillows are the best we've had at any hotel that we've stayed at. We rarely drove our car except to go skiing. The hotel was a great spot to walk to all eating places and shopping. It's two blocks from the plaza/square and it is awesome […] ! Mehr

I'm a business traveler and spend 60+ nights annually in hotels so I'm a bit picky. This was my first stay at the Eldorado and you cannot beat the location as it is within walking distance to everything in downtown Santa Fe. The room was nice, but nothing special and a bit bland. Bathroom was updated, but small. The updated bar was very nice and busy […] for a Tuesday night. The $2 lobster sliders were wonderful as well as reasonably priced glasses of wine. However, I was the only diner the next morning for business and the service was very slow. It appeared that valet parking was my only option at $22 per night, but the garage is convenient and located underneath the hotel. Mehr

Pleasant hotel. Expensive parking and restaurants. However, there are public parking options available close by. Service is OK and cleanliness is average. Would stay there again.

This was our second stay at the ElDorado Hotel & Spa. We have been many times to Santa Fe and this is the first time we have stayed at a repeat hotel. We have stayed at more expensive hotels and less expensive hotels. We have stayed in boutique hotels and in major chain hotels but bar none we just like the ElDorado. The rooms are huge. The beds are […] so comfortable and the pillows were so fabulous that I tried to find out where we could buy some. It is a pet friendly hotel but you would never know because the rooms appear to be almost soundproof. Never heard one dog bark but saw them going in and out of the hotel. Fabulous Christmas Day buffet. So popular that all the people we met in line were Santa Feans who just like the buffet at Christmas at this hotel. The food was very very good with everything anyone could want. We will not be experimenting with other hotels in the future. The El Dorado is it for us. Have stayed at the Inn of the Anazazi and La Posada and the Inn at Loreto among others but save your money. The ElDorado is only 2 blocks off the plaza and terrific. Mehr

The hotel was nice but the bed was a little to soft. The room floors were cold which required me to elevate the heat in my room just to keep the floor warm but other than that, the hotel had a warm feeling and the employees were very plesant. It would have been nice to have automatic doors entering and exiting the hotel.

we was not that pleased.. I had ask for a room with a patio to set outside just off the room.. Thought the parking was included at least that was what I was told. We get there and its an additional 22.00 per day. Room was smaller than we thought.

The staff was very nice and the service was great! We enjoyed the Old House for drinks and apps. We were within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. We will stay here again.

Booked King bed for Anniversary, given 2 dbl beds, room overlook a rooftop. Conference took up hotel, loud party late into night, VERY loud band played in ballroom until midnight, despite multiple calls about noise. Miserable stay.

We thought it was exactly whayt we paid for. Enjoyed the proximity of eating places downtown.

Room rate was commensurate with a four star hotel in Santa Fe. However, the $22 mandatory charge for parking (valet) was a bit much.

Our room had no hot water in the shower,no hot water in the sink and no airconditioning.They did fix it but all this should be routine maintanence. Our neighbors also had the same problem.Overall, I would not stay here again.The waiter spilled coffee allover my white pants and brought bleach to remove the stains and still charged me for a full brea […] kfast! Although this is a large hotel, it is extremely well-run. The facilities are fantastic and you can't beat the proximity to the Plaza. Downsides are less-than-luxurious (but very comfortable and clean) bathrooms and limited views, but I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Very nice hotel-comfortable and clean room. Friendly and helpful service. The food was good. The only thing that we were not pleased with was the swimming pool area-really small for a hotel this size. We were pretty hot after returning from shopping and decided to go up to the pool to cool off. The pool/ pool area is incredibally small. No room to sit […] so we left-not an inviting area. Great place to stay, short walk to the Plaza. The Staff was very helpful and made our stay great. The spa was fantastic. I had a massage and my wife had a pedicure. The hotel is very clean and updated and the beds were very comfortable. This is our second time to stay there and will stay again.

Great location and friendly staff. For a medium priced hotel it was nice to have doorman, and they were well staffed. Room and lobby were clean and quite nice. Rooftop pool area was small but not too bad. Location is a big plus, as it is right in Old Town Santa Fe and you can walk everywhere. My only knock is the mandatory Valet Parking (a "feature" […] that's taking over hotels across the country). I didn't so much mind the per day fee to have covered garage parking, it's the mandatory Valet needed to get my car (waited far too long each day of stay, and guests were confused about tipping). Better idea to just let the guests get their own vehicles. Otherwise, pleasant stay, and I would go back. Mehr

Great location. Wonderful concierge. Very expensive bar and restaurant. No minibar. Poor information regarding TV services. We were treated well.

Spent two nights on a holiday weekend.Had an issue with our toilet making a funny noice, air conditioning not working well.and a broken hair dryer. We called the front desk regarding each of these issues as they occured. They were addressed immediately and corrected. Therefore, no complaints. My husband loved the spa steam room. (Free)

Hotel was awesome, however, we brought our dog and there were no bowls or amenity as stated in the information online. Also, I was told by their reservation system that there was a place to take your dog with grass to do her business. Love Santa Fe, but there is no grass in this town whatsoever! My poor Misty adapted to the rocks and pebbles, but was […] not a fan of that. Mehr

The hotel is beautifully appointed with all the great Santa Fe artwork on display. The Old House resturant has fabulous food. The hotel is a short walk from Santa Fe Old town historic district. The Nidah Spa was beautiful and very relaxing. Overall the staff and the property is teriffic. We will definately make this a go to again location....Thanks […] . Mehr

This is right in the middle of all the activity in downtown Santa Fe - fun to just walk out the door to restaurants and galleries.

We lived in SF for many years and it was so much fun to come back as a tourist and stay right in the center of downtown. The staff was very friendly and the rooms clean (a little in need of new paint). Our only complaint was about the restaurant, which we had trouble with when we lived in SF also.

Shows well, but not at all worth the too high prices. Give this a miss.
