This hotel was very well located near Del Mar and was unbeatable in terms of bang for the buck. The room was clean, bed and linen top quality and the staff friendly. Highly recommend.

I had a training to attend so it was more of business than pleasure, but I brought my teenage daughter and my little dog too, so I wanted a place that felt pleasant to hang out in all day. The staff was very friendly and professional, the room was very clean and pleasant. The courtyard and pool were wonderful. Great lounge chairs, plentiful towels, […] hot tub for relaxing, music to keep it up beat, lots of palms and beautiful foliage. It also had a very good, although a bit pricey restaurant. The gym was descent and served the purpose. It took about 5 minutes to drive to the nearest beach (Torrey Pines) and there several restaurants on the way. There is a shopping plaza about 1/2 mile away with a grocery store and restaurants among other retail stores. We were very pleased with our stay. For the purpose it was perfect. I would stay there for a vacation, but next time might try the Hilton on the beach if they have rooms available. Lots of value for the price. Mehr

Free internet in the room would have made it perfect. I had to access Wi-Fi in lobby and it didn't always work where the staff said it would, i.e. in restaurant.

I loved the pool area! The room was extremely tidy, bed and sheets were amazing !

I really liked my stay here. We were close to all the recreational activities even though it was not a beach view! The hotel is located in a business park type area. I was willing to compromise that for the price and the comfort of the hotel. The pool area is really nice and so was the spa. The staff was nicer than I would expect for a chain hotel. […] The crowd at the pool was older that I thought so if you are looking for a young fun crowd this is not the place. Mehr

I was very impressed with this hotel it was very clean and the people were very friendly and helpful. But what really stood out was the hotel restaurant it was excellent. I am talking about lunch and dinner if I lived there I would definitely go all the time. They told me the chef was new so I would definitely hold on to him!

Very comfy beds and pillows. Location is far, I didnt realize It was that far from SD.

Nothing bad to say all was great. Even the breakfast buffet was perfect,,,

The Doubletree Hotel in Del Mar California suited our every need. It was clean and well-maintained with an oooh soo comfy king bed and a coffee maker with Wolfgang Puck coffee that was more than adequate to get us started for the day. The hotel's attention to detail was nice also, like the name brand coffee, the soothing colors of the walls in the rooms, […] and the Crabtree & Evelyn products in the bath. We only stayed one night, and left early the next morning, but I will probably use this hotel from now on when I visit San Diego to visit our relatives. The location was easy to find in a quiet office park, near the freeway, and when we arrived at night, tired and cold, and in the dark, that was comforting, and the free warm cookie that each person received upon arrival helped, also. The hotel had a snafu with the travel websites and didn't have our poolside reservation in their system when we arrived. But they found a way to make it work that was satisfactory to all, and in a professional, nice manner, even though we no longer had the pool view room. Mehr

very friendly staff thank you for the delicious cookies excellent pool and jacuzzi room spotless pillows and bed extremely comfortable everything at the ready i could hear the boys in the room next to mine, but fortunately they were not noisy after midnight. i would definitely look for a doubletree in the future. and thank god ALL NO SMOKING!!!!!

One of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. The pillows were fantastic. The pool and spa were great.

We have stayed in a few hotels in san diego that say they are dog friendly. This one really was. Great grass areas in front and in pool/spa areas for the dogs. We travel with 2 pugs and they seemed to be very comfortable there. Only negative about rooms is no fridge. Other than that great overall stay, think we will be back there again.

Great warm chocolate chip cooks upon arrival and great winter rates.

Hotel is comfortable, but doesn't come with complementary breakfast. For those folk wants easier access to San Diego, with this price you can get a more decent hotel with free breakfast in SD area. You need to beware of the road entering the hotel, which is ONE WAY, and I almost hit a car during the night time which I expect it to be a two way traffic. There […] is a Souplantation and Thai food within walking distance for those who doesn't want to pay overpriced meal at the hotel. Mehr

This is a very nice, clean, convenient hotel. Close to restaurants and easy freeway access. Also close to the cost and lovely Del Mar.

We booked this hotel for a family vacation based on previous good reviews and we were completely satisfied with our choice! The pool area was beautiful and even though it was a bit cold the kids just had to take a dip. Even though the hotel is in a business park and seemed to have lots of business travelers, we didn't feel out of place. The rooms are […] nice, beds are comfortable and if you keep the drapes shut it is so dark that you can easily oversleep! :) Can be a good thing, though! This is a newer hotel and it showed...very comfortable.

Had a girls weekend getaway..great place to go for that. Atmosphere was adult and professional but there was a family with kids staying there. Room was tastefully decorated, very clean and comfortable even though I never sleep well when away from home. I booked this hotel at a great price to go to a wedding. A lot of other guests stayed at the Marriott across the street and paid alot more per night than we did. Additionally, we got free parking during our stay while the others at the hotel across the street had to pay a high amount. The hotel was great overall, as was the staff. The price I found from the website was pretty good. I liked the service. the hotel provides free internet and all the usual amenities you would expect. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Our vacation was to venture to the Wild Animal Park and Legoland and I thought this was a perfect location for both venues. Close to stores and restaurants.

A beautiful hotel in a great area! The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! They have an awesome pool area with a gigantic pool and about an eight person hot tub. For the kiddies, they have a wading pool seperate from the big pool. At night they have outdoor fires in the patio.

For the price, very good stay. Very clean, and excellent service. I forgot a razor and shaving cream and they brought them up to my room. Overall, the service was very good and the hotel room was very clean!
