Hier buche man, wenn man jung und unkompliziert ist. Lärm erträgt und gerne im Ausgang ist. Zu sehen gibt es ab 22h bis 3h alles was zwei Räder oder Beine hat, besonders die Vierrädrigen zeigen sich im Lauftempo den Passanten. Strand sehr nahe. Viele Essensmöglichkeiten mit leichtem Preisaufschlag, da direkt am Ocean Drive. Parkplätze sind rar oder […] teuer. Mehr

Das Hotel ist ganz in Ordnung, das Zimmer war sehr sauber. Ich hatte ein wenig Pech und irgend so ein Generator oder was war unmittelbar unter/neben/vor dem Fenster und machte in der Nacht ordentlich Krach. Zum Glück ist mein Schlaf tief und Fest. We expected a small boutique hotel and learned that all of the Ocean Dr Boutique hotels would be small as that was the style when they were originally popular. But my o my it was tiny, tiny! The worst part was checking in walking thru the restaurant that was on the porch and front sidewalk. To be fair most of the Ocean front hotels had sidewalk and […] porch restaurants in the front. But the same entrance as the hotel, walking thru the diners with your luggage? Come on. No one is that cheap. The hotel is on a corner and it would not have been that hard to add a hotel entrance. It was also very difficult to communicate with the "desk clerk" as the music was blaring so loud it was an impossible situation. The pictures are totally deceiving. But overall it was fairly clean and old, old, old. Next time we stay in South Beach we will opt for a street or two back and try a hotel like the Essex. Mehr

It was very clean, the staff were helpful and it is a great location. The restaurant in the lobby plays very loud music which luckily we couldn't hear from our room.

All logistics were fine. No problems found whatsoever. For short stay reservations (few days) just fine. Parking restricted. Surrounding very busy and restaurants and beach very near.

When you arrive at Majestic you are required to pay a resort fee!!!!!!

Good for "one night stand" with a girl but that´s pretty much it.

It was nothing fancy but u can't beat the price or location. I would definitely go back

My husband and I came to Miami to go the Orange Bowl and do some drinking/beaching in South Beach (I'm 28). We are on budget and surprised that we found somewhere on Ocean Drive in our price range. We were skeptical as to what we would find upon check in, but decided to go for it anyway, we were not disappointed. This hotel was EXACTLY what we wanted. […] Close to the stadium, staggering distance from all the bars/clubs in South Beach, beachfront, clean and safe. The staff is amazing. On the first morning of my stay I called and asked for my decafe coffee to be switched to regular, it was delivered in less than five minutes. On the second night of our stay someone had an alarm clock go off at 4 in the morning, and stay on. We decided that person must have left the alarm on when they checked out, or have had a REALLY good night. My husband called the front desk and asked them to check it out and again the hotel staff responded quickly and in less than five minutes the alarm was turned off. The room was clean and comfortable and we could not have asked for a better location. If you are looking for a non sketchy hotel that is clean comfortable safe and in an amazing location with great staff this is the place for you. If you want a large room with impressive artwork and fresh flowers not in the center of bustling South Beach this is not for you. Mehr

My friends and I stayed overnight to catch a cruise the next day. We had a great time but unfortunately it ended on a sour note when it came to check out. The manager (who didn't check us in, had a major attitude at check out) because we had 3 ppl in the rm. He accused me of sneaking my friend into the room. The young man at check-in didn't say anything […] when he gave us all 3 keys. The crazy thing is that even he (the manager) said he remembered seeing us check in the nite before. I would have been fine with paying for the 3rd person, but he was very rude about the issue...then he said we made a phone call but knew we didn't since we had cell phones. I told him the phone in the rm was labeled for a different rm but he said it didn't matter. Again, i was not concerned about paying, but he was soo nasty! The other staff were very nice and made our stay enjoyable. They need to replace the manager! Mehr

I found this on hotels.com. They had a $14 resort fee which most of these hotels charge. Check in was swift. The service was good, the front desk was helpful. I used their valet parking service (at $27 for a day), and have no regrets. The neighborhood was good with lots of food joints around. The hotel also had a restaurant attached to it and the food […] was not bad, though the vegetarian options were very limited. Mehr

can't say more about location; beach across street. old hotel--small rooms--but comfortable. Would not want to stay more than 3 days because of size.

This hotel is in heart of south beach. Rooms are nice and clean.

Had a great time hanging out with a friend from college and going to all the great night spots. Room was small but served its purpose

This's one the worse hotel that i ever stay at and it's very poor condition. It's inconvenience for us to carry our luggages,we had to carry our luggages always to the 3rd floors because elevator is not working. I wouldn't recommend!

I average staying about 100 nights per year in hotel rooms and the room I stayed in was with out a doubt, was the smallest room and bathroom I haver EVER stayed in. Elevator did not work so had to carry luggage up stairs.

Great customer service..great location. The carpets on each floor had a very strong scent that made my allergies go nuts but overall was a good hotel.

It was by far the worst experience in our lives. My wife and I booked this hotel knowing not too expect luxury at the price we payed however the condition of this hotel is deplorable! Old, dirty, smelly. Our room had roaches and blood spots on one of the towels. The noise was extreme and the kind of people that stayed in this place seemed to be like […] a bad neighborhood that you normally avoid. Don't try to bring anything to the staff's attention because they simply do not care an they are very rude on top of it. We have encountered situations where many of the guests had issues and were just ignored and treated bad. In addition to this drunk people, police and ambulances in the hotel lobby to top it off. Also in addition to paying for the hotel and other taxes mentioned when booking the hotel also charges a resort fee of $12 per day. Let me just say, I don't know who owns this hotel but he should be ashamed of himself. I would not stay this place again even if they would pay me. We did check out one night earlier because we couldn't take it anymore so Majestic onlu managed to ruin only 3 nights out of our vacation in Miami. Mehr

Its a good place generally , but they will charge you for about 15 $ as resort fee which is not mentioned when you are booking online

First, the hotel was old and seriously in need of a remodel; the room was very small and the quality of the hotel was extremely disappointing for the price. The ice maker did no work and the front desk attendant appeared to always be either uninformed or disinterested in providing assistance. Wow what a let down!! We were so excited to experience south beach and it's Historic District. Only to find a Dirty, Unfriendly Hotel and equally dirty Beach. It was over all a Yukky experience. I would never bring Children to this hotel with there Pornographic gift shop :p

It's unfortunate that the week I ended up spending at the Majestic they were doing construction on the interior and exterior of the building. Waking up to the sounds of hammers and debris falling three stories wasn't quite ideal. Otherwise the service was nice with Valet parking to get rid of the hassle of parking and the rooms were small and far from […] prefect but on a college budget it worked out just fine. The best part of the hotel is it's location, right on South Beach and two blocks from Washington Ave. The two night we were there we didn't go farther than five blocks for some great drinks and good times. Oh, and the beach is right across the street, can't beat that. Mehr

The hotel is in the perfect location, the staff was super sweet, our flight landed before check in time and the hotel held our bags for us. The hotel is like 40 steps frm the beach wich was perfect because we didnt rent a car and we didnt want to have to walk a number blocks to get to the beach. The room was a tad bit small but that was expected considering […] it was four girl in a room tryin to get cute :-). Al and his staff were also very helpful with day and night activities for me and my friends to do he recommended a wonderful jet ski company and he told us the best club by far on south beach was a the fontainebleau hotel club LIV OMG and he was so true best club I have every been to hand down.I booked my room only to weeks befor my trip on hotels.com where i found the cheapest rate.My over all stay at the Majestic was great I have already told a bunch of my friends and co-workers if they wanna go to south beach this would be a good choice for a hotel.They only thing I can say that I did not know about the hotel was the resort fee of $45 but it was cool because we were able to get bottled water in the room everyday and as many beach towles/chairs as we needed, and the other thing I did not know was that the hotel was under renovation :-( but they did not start working until 11am so by that time I was up and out the room. When I go back to South Beach I will b staying at the Majestic :-) Mehr

I have stayed in some bad hotels but this was horrible. Damp rooms and bed bugs. When we checked out early they not only charged us for the extra nights for the room but also a resort fee! Avoid this place - spend a few more dollars and stay someplace clean and nice!

The Majestic was nothing to brag about. I was promised an Ocean View and was given an alley view....The lobbies at the hotel smelled like if a dead rat was around.....I was charged a resort fee with NO swimming pool......The bathroom at the hotel was NOT spacey....Would i stay in this hotel again? Probably NOT unless there was no other hotel available......This […] place is a DUMP.......Something about myself is that i am a very simple individual and doesn't take a lot to please me and if i wasn't pleased it says a lot of the HOTEL......GOOD LUCK if this is the ONLY place available in South Beach....Thank GOD i was there for ONLY 2 days......... This hotel is OK if you want to party most of the Time. It is relatively clean and personnal will help you. This Hotel is not cheap for the quality of the room but the location is awesome! This Hotel is not quiet and most of the roon DO NOT HAVE OCEAN VIEW! The reataurant is very expensive but good!

It was a nice weekend and the hotel was perfect for our budget. Clean enough and smack in the middle of SOBE. I'd stay there again.

There were a few problems at the hotel that would cause me to look at others next time since there are so many in the area. 1. Beds were hard as rocks. Back ache in the morning. 2. Drab drab room. A little effort in decoration would be appreciated. 3. Roach in room. Just not good. 4. Elevator was dirty and smelled. Thank God for stairs.

Very clean room.

The hotel it self is old and needs updating. However, the location is great. I had an ocean front view. The hotel restaurant is great for breakfast and lunch. Everyone is extremely friendly.

The room was ok, but small, especially the bathroom which had a shower stall w/ nothing to keep the water from spraying out. The hallways were scuzzy, clearly not renovated since the 50s(?). The area is one of constanct noise, music blasting from the restaurants (including the one in the hotel) along Ocean Drive from early in the day until very late […] at night (20 hours a day?). This was a great place to stay for the night. The location is perfect to hang out at the clubs and not have to travel far to sleep. The room was very clean with the exception of the towels were stained, but the front exchanged with no problems. Everything else was perfect. Also having the restaurant right there. The staff is also very friendly.

Upon our arrival, we were instructed that they did not have the two beds that we had reserved and that all that they had was a king. After checking out both hotels to the left and right and finding that this was the only option, I obligingly took the room. We stayed there for a day and upon us leaving we were instructed that because we booked online […] that we were forced to pay an additional $15 for beach towels, the coffee in the room, and the bottles of water in room even though we did not use any of it. When I asked for him to show it to me he said that he didn't have an internet connection but that I could check it out online when I got home. PS, the pictures online are also not accurate, as the lobby is a dirty floor filled with various restaurant tables and people constantly walking throughout. Mehr

Outstanding service from start to finish. Can't believe we stayed on Ocean Drive for such a great price! The rooms are small, but that's expected when you stay in most of the retro art deco hotels on Ocean Drive in South Beach (Miami, FL). The hotel and the rooms were very clean. And did I mention the location? Just across the street from the beach, […] literally. In the evening, we took a nice stroll down Ocean Drive, which is packed with nice restaurants. We walked over to nearby Lincoln Road and Espaniola Way. Awesome place. It was a heck of a bargain. Highly, highly recommend it. The people working in the hotels are never smiling, never helping and solving the problems. The maintanence of equipment is very bad. The hotel is very dirty. The restaurant is a setup to tourists. 500$ dinner for eight people with only one glass of alcohol drink. Concierge is not happy for working in this hotel.

This is an older property and it shows in many regards. Although the room was small, it was comfortable, but everything seemed to be very dated. This hotel is a 30 second walk from the beach, but you also get the noise from everyone passing by the hotel on foot and in cars. In addition, the music from the restaurant below is very loud and lasts well […] into the night. This hotel is great if you are young and want that type of atmosphere, but if you are looking for some peace and quiet, you may want to seriously consider somwhere else. Mehr
