Great little hotel. The front desk was outstanding in answering our questions. Breakfast was good but not outstanding. Room was small but clean and neat.

I was pleasantly surprised over the quality of the hotel, given its bargain cost. Hotel in a major international capital, with breakfast buffet, and taxes included. Super location in historic neighborhood with lots of window shopping, and reasonable and good restaurants. Hotel staff couldn't be more helpful. I have been to Europe where language misfires […] often yield rolled eyes, but not here. Very plain rooms, but very clean. Two days with cold showers as I didn't know to turn on hot water behind toilet and I didn't ask. Mehr

I recently stayed at the Wilton for one night while passing through Buenos Aires. The hotel is a good example of a well maintained older hotel, although small by today's standards. I found the hotel to be a clean and well maintained average hotel, but the staff is what made the difference. They are very courteous and most speak at least some English... […] in short, great service. The location is a short walk (10 mins or so) to the nice Recoleta area... which has many restaurants, a few malls, beautiful parks, and the famous cemetery. Mehr

Clean, convenient fairly good value and fairly nice service. On the bad, the aircon in the room was poorly located thus we were too cold or too hot in the middles of the steamy Buenos Aires weather. We wouls still recommend it because it is good value

The hotel is a little old and could use some updating, but the location is great, and the staff helpful. They have a nice breakfast room with a nice selection of breakfast foods.

If you like walking, this was a great location..lots of cafes, shops, restaurants, beautiful European architecture, museums, several palaces and the famous Recolleta cemetary all nearby. Good breakfast in an attractive art filled dining area. Comfortable lobby. Our room was plain and smallish but clean, had wall a/c, & a spacious bathroom. Service was […] always polite and helpful. Almost everything about this hotel was very good. The room was spacious & clean; the breakfast buffet was certainly more than sufficient & of god quality. The location was convenient & the service was quite good. All of the above especially in light of very reasonable rates. I would most definitely stay here again if i ever return to Rio.

The Wilton is in a good location, nice neighborhood, near Recoleta. However, the hotel is a little shabby, rooms dark and carpet dirty, staff moderately friendly.

The place is well situated but definitely can not be considered a 4 star hotel. Everything is old and seems dirty. The rooms we got the air-con was very loud and you can not open the window cause when you finally do its the back of the old ugly buildings, the ventilation of the rooms are terrible, basically no ventilation at all. The staff are nice […] and friendly. No kettle in the room. The power of the water is very very good due to the old plumbing system. But this is definitely NOT a 4 star hotel! I would say a low 3 star or 2 star dont know how in the world they got 4 stars!! Mehr

Stayed here for six days, in the back tower. 10th floor and therefore no street noise. The room looked a little worn, but clean and well maintained. TV had only spanish language chanels, no CNN or BBC for the English Speaking. Good European breakfast, and friendly staff. For information there are three near by laundry matts that if you leave laundry […] in the morning can be picked up at 5pm.. (just took a walk on the first side streed and asked) Would stay again, wifi had a chagre, but paid one day and it lasted for four.. Mehr

My husband and I booked this hotel after a flight cancellation due to the price and neighborhood. Unfortunately this is a very old hotel and we did not get any sleep the night we stayed. Also both the wireless and dsl internet did not work so I was unable to work from the hotel. The air conditioning and elevators make noise. When I called the front […] desk they moved us to their penthouse, which was a nice gesture, but unfortunately the quality of the room was not much better. We will not stay here again. Positives: it is in a great location, easy to get to Santa Fe shops and Recoleta. The price is reasonable. Mehr

Decent hotel right in the middle of Recoleta, close to everything you would want. The breakfast buffet was ok, but would of been nice if they included some fried eggs...all in all a decent place to stay for a decent price....

Rooms need renovation, but it's clean and comfortable. If you can get a rate in the low to mid sixties per night or less, it's worth it. Location works well and neighborhood is safe.

I arrived at Hotel Wilton at 7 AM, having ridden all night on a bus from Cordoba and feeling lousy. The man at the front desk immediately found me a room and let me check in; no waiting! The breakfast buffet was very complete. I had an interior room (window but no street noise); good sleeping.

Room was nice and clean. Staff was very helpful when needed and spoke English fluently.

The location was very central (in Recoleta, not downtown) to the places I wanted to visit (day and night). The hotel and room were nice, nothing too fancy but comfortable and clean. Breakfast was also good, with a variety of fruit, yoghurt, juices, and pastries. No hot breakfast provided, though, but I did not miss it.

This is definitely not a 5-star hotel so do not expect the rooms to be lavish. However, if you desire a great location and you do not want to pay exorbitant prices, then you should consider this hotel. My room was clean although the cable did not work well all the time (almost as though if someone turned on a hair dryer in another room my television […] screen would turn into a jumble of black and white lines). The hotel lobby was very nice, but do not expect the appearance of the room to reflect the elegance of the lobby. I was on the 12th floor which I thought would be quieter since I would not be exposed to the noise in the busy streets below, but the walls in the hotel seemed paper thin and it was difficult to get a good night's rest since I could hear what was going on in the rooms around me. Beware staying at this hotel if you speak NO Spanish. Although some hotel staff speak English, it is very basic and I observed a few English-speaking guests having a difficult time on account of the language barrier. It seemed that many of the people staying in this hotel during my stay were visiting Buenos Aires from other cities in Argentina as well as from other Spanish-speaking countries in South America. I was a guest in this hotel for over a week and the front desk staff were unpleasant. I asked the front desk to help me get a taxi the first morning of my stay and they told me to get one myself. I found this unnecessarily calloused since the man at the front desk who told me this had just checked me in and I had just told him that this was my first time in Buenos Aires. My overall impression of many of the front desk staff was that they did not want to be bothered. This was irksome to me since I speak Spanish and only interacted with the hotel staff when it was absolutely necessary and yet was still treated as though I were a nuisance. Overall this hotel provided a great location for a fair price, but do not expect the staff to be overly hospitable. Mehr

Really happy with our stay (6 people), many visits to Buenos Aires over the years, great area to be staying and close to subway for quick/cheap access to other parts of town. Clean, friendly, and best price. would easily stay here again

Great location with friendly staff. The rooms are not great but certainly clean and adequate. Breakfast is good with many options for free. The fitness center is inadequate with only a few outdated machines. However, your exercise will come from walking the many neighborhoods of the city. This was an excellent price performer.

Our stay at the Wilton Palace in BA was perfect. The neighborhood is in walking distance to the Recoletta Cemetary, wonderful resturants and shops. We felt safe. But... the best thing about the Wilton Palace was the staff. They were completely helpful, no matter the need. Most spoke English and were gracious, friendly and seemed to anticpate our needs. […] I definitely will stay at the Wilton on any return trip to BA. Mehr

This hotel is generally clean and the staff is friendly. There are not much in the way of extras but for the price its ok. Small rooms but clean. Good centralized location for Recoleta. Wireless internet for $20 pesos per 24 hours (paid daily). This is about $5US. Overall good budget hotel.

Hotel well located, the bed and bathroom were clean. We asked for a room in the back because the one's facing the street are very noisy; we glad we did that. Breakfast was very basic but ok. Overall for a 3 star hotel and the price paid, Hotel met our expectations.

I got this hotel at a special hotels.com promotion, which made it a cheaper accommodation then most 3 star hotels and even hostels. At this price it was a good choice, the location was pretty good (quite close to the center and 3 blocks from the subte underground). Spending some time in the evening at the 14th floor terrace was a nice (unexpected) treat. However, […] I can't consider it a "proper" 4 star hotel. The room was spacious and clean, but some services were lacking: mostly the internet wi-fi connection, which was not free and cost a ridiculous sum of money. Breakfast was also something more in the line of 2 or 3 star hotels - don't expect any worm food except for boiled eggs. If I were to pay the original advertised price I'd find it outrageous. As a big hotel, it also doesn't give the same homey feeling of smaller boutique hotels or family run hostels, and the working staff seemed pretty distant and not very helpful. Mehr

This hotel was in a nice section of town close to nice restaurants. We were about 15 minutes walk to the Ricoletta cemetery. We were less than 10 minutes walk to the D subway. The subway cost is 25 US cents per person and is a great system. The free buffet breakfast was very nice and was from 7am to 11.

I stay at lots of hotels large, small, cheap and expensive. This was great value for the money and the location was ideal for purposes of tourism. The service was excellent and helpful. I strongly recommend this to any one and have already.

Before I booked I read all the reviews and decided to take a chance. I asked for a taxi service prior to my trip and they overcharged me. Well...The staff was very nice and good service(besides the taxi rip off) but the hotel needs lots of improvements. The AC is extremely loud and they put me in a room where I could hear the AC system from outside...not […] a nice view and I had hard time to sleep. When I went to take a shower, I felt I was in a airplane taking off somewhere....Too noisy and I felt sorry for guests downstairs and upstairs. The best part is the location and breakfast included..that's all. Would I come back? Not for the price I paid. Mehr

I travel more than four times a year to Buenos Aires. The hotel is well located. It is the only good thing about it. The rest, is bad quality. Old building in a poor maintained status, old furniture, the individual AC is from the 70s, noisy and useless, old carpets, very slow internet, mediocre breakfast, and the service lacks understanding of the meaning […] of "client" and "customer". In the same range of price, and in close proximity, you can find better options Mehr

All as expected from this level of hotel. Reasonably priced for B.A. Room and hotel extremely clean and in good condition, everything worked as expected, bed big and comfortable, all staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast included in the price. I intend to stay there again on my return to B.A. The hotel limo(remise) was also very helpful […] and reasonably priced. Mehr

this hotel offered everything you'd expect from a good standard hotel--clean room, helpful front desk, and great location. the front desk did seem a little short staffed at times, which is perhaps the only negative i can think of. on the other hand, they were helpful when we could get a hold of them, setting us up with the sauna and patio deck (great […] features that get hidden unless you ask!) plus, the location is great, walking distance to all the recoletta attractions and close to the subway as well. The Wilton Hotel had great staff - they greeted us at checkin and offered a map of the neighborhood, suggested city tours and restaurants within walking distance. They offered to speak in English as soon as they realized Spanish was not our first language. The hotel was clean, the complimentary breakfast was good and the hotel was a 10-15 minute walk […] from tourist sites such as Evita's statue and grave. The hotel is a 7 minute walk from the subway lines to get you even further in discovering the area. Mehr

The hotel location is great. The service very good. The cost excellent. The were only 2 negative points: carpet in the rooms and absence of a frigobar. I would definitely stay there again for the cost-benefit the hotel provides us.

My daughter and I spent a week at the Wilton Hotel in Recoletta in mid-August. We had a marvelous experience. The staff was friendly and courteous and did their best to answer our many questions. The surroundings were clean and attractive. The continental breakfast exceeded our expectations. We especially appreciated the computers in the lobby which […] were available for guest use. All in all, the Wilton Hotel was a highlight in our visit to Buenos Aires. Mehr

Excellent Hotel! The front desk personnel extremely friendly and helpful! They would go out of their way to make your stay a very pleasant one. The breakfast buffet in the morning was great! I highly recommend this hotel. I would definitely stay again!

I used to live in BA while studying abroad so I knew the neighborhood well. Rooms were super clean and maid service was exceptional. Front desk was friendly and bell boy helped me catch cabs in the rain. Breakfast was simple and delicious, I ate media lunas with dulce de leche. I will stay here again as the price was perfect for the level of luxury […] sought. Mehr

The Wilton Palace Hotel is on a main street near a popular shopping district. Very good central location.

Good Location, Lot of good restaurants around the corner on Avenida Santa Fe', Bus station on the corner to all destination in Buenos Aires, including bus 152 to "la Boca" making stop close to Manuel Tienda Leon (bus service to Airports) and BuqueBus (Ferries to Colonia and Montevideo, Uruguay).... when boarding the bus you must have your 1.20 pesos […] in coins.... not easy to find coins in Buenos Aires. If you are looking for a basic room for a great price at a great location, this is the hotel for you. Rooms are very basic and with an old decor. Bathroom is big and vey clean. Breaffast is good!

Location and value is all it has...but is not a 5 or 4 star hotel. At least the room that we had was quiet but looking old.

I feel like this place was overpriced for the quality of the room. It was nice and clean enough. But, they really sank all there efforts into making the lobby look nice. The staff was extremely helpful. We were flying to Patagonia for a few days before coming back to stay here. They allowed us to safely keep some of our bags there prior to arriving […] for our stay. Then after staying with them we flew up to Iguazu for a couple days. They allowed us to keep our bags there again. Although this was my least favorite accommodation we had during our stay in Argentina, the staff was great (most speak english) and the luggage storage was extremely helpful. I would recommend renting an apartment or bed and breakfast for your stay in B.A. if you are staying for a good amount of time. Mehr
