"Gute Lage | veraltet | wenig Service"

"phoenix hotel copenhagen"
A great place to stay. Very central..10 minutes walk to metro and to main shoppping area. Nice neighborhood.A pity they charge breakfast as an extra. Should be included. A great place!
"A good place to stay"
Our stay was altogether enjoyable. The staff was friendly and service-minded, especially the breakfast staff. Breakfast is good, but pricey. At that price one expect there to be a larger selection of cheese, and jam that is not plastic packed. The bread is however fresh and of good variety. We were given a larger room than ordered at arrival and were […] very pleased with the space. The bathroom was also big enough, but a bit in need of upgrading, as it took a very long time fror the hot water to arrive at the 3rd floor, and at one time it didn't come at all. The bed was good and we also appreciated the nice dressing gowns. Location is fine, close to city centre, metro and buses, in addtition to Nyhavn and the opera and theatre. Mehr

"Hotell Phoenix - Copenhagen"
The hotell is very dirty. Dirty pillows. Dirty bathtub. Dirty bed. And everything felt very old and the bed was very soft(poor). The standardroom is very very small.

"Phoenix Copenhagen-Close to sights, great service"
We stayed at the Phoenix and walked to all sights in Copenhagen:Kongens Nytorv, Amalienborg Castle, Frederikskirke, Rosenborg Castle, Tivoli Gardens, Rundetaarn (Trinity Church), Nyhavn and the Little Mermaid Statue, etc. We had free internet service at the hotel, a full and varied breakfast included with the fare, and wonderful service. We boarded our […] cruise ship in Copenhagen but on our return we were able to leave our cases at the Phoenix while we toured Copenhagen before our return flight. We would recommend the Phoenix Copenhagen to our friends. Mehr
"Phoenix copenhagen"
We stayed here before our cruise on the Baltics. It is very well located near the middle of town. The service was excellent and they even kept our bags for a few hours after our cruise so we could svour every moment in copenhagn before we fly to Amsterdam. The breakfast was great but the best thing about the place was the service. You won't go wrong […] staying there that is for sure Vanessa from Canada Mehr

"Phoenix Copenhagen"
Good Hotel in the heart of Downtown Copenhagen. Well sorted breakfast and nice and clean room, only thing missing was the safebox in the room.
"best hotel"
I have been staying at the Phoenix for many years. T.he location is ideal, the hotel has maintained the same superior quality throughout the years and the staff are all friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the Phoenix
"Nice hotel in an expensive city"
The rooms are very spacious but not all have a/c which is needed in the summer months. The location is good being a 10 minute walk to shopping and the main canal. The staff greeted us and were very helpful.
"Phoenix Hotel in Copenhagen for Honeymoon"
I went to this hotel with my now husband for our honeymoon to Denmark. We stayed in other hotels in Denmark as well and I regret to say that although this was the one I was looking forward to the most, it was the one I liked the least. The hotel's decorations were very sweet and ornate and just simply beautiful especially in the lobby area when you […] first walk in. However, the rooms were a bit dirty and the bathroom smelled. And the biggest complaint I have about this hotel is that the floor of our room was TILTED...significantly. So much so that I was relieved that the furniture wasn't on wheels or else they would all fly right out the door! We got the "romantic package" which was actually just a bottle of champagne and six strawberries.. which was nice...but not the extra money we spent for it nice. The water from the melted ice was also leaking down the top of the table...that's how much the room was tilting.. The showers were also leaking onto the bathroom floor...everytime we took showers. Also, although they give you a password for the wireless in your rooms...every time we tried to get online, it didn't work and would drop the connection. You would have to go downstairs to the lobby to use the internet. Location was great. We loved being just a stone throw away from Nyhavn--fantastic. The people at the front desk seemed friendly though were only around the front desk and seemed to have a lot of free time as they were pretty much just hanging out with each other and chatting. And the Van Plessen hotel restaurant was great and had LOADS of food for the breakfast buffet. Overall, I would recommend this hotel because of the location and buffet breakfast only, definitely not for comfort or for a romantic getaway as I'm sure there are much better hotels in Copenhagen if you plan to stay there for those reasons. Mehr
"Location and Lack of all else"
Location is great and then it stops - front desk staff where arrogant and not serviceminded. Rooms very very small. Breakfast was good.
"Good location, beautiful hotel, some downsides"
I came late and left early so I can't comment on breakfast. The downside for me, as single female, was bringing my luggage up about 10 steps into the hotel lobby, then 1/2 flight to room. The elevator does not go to floor for # rooms in 1000 range. They had 2 free computers and printer for getting boarding passes, which was great. Bus 1A drops off nearly […] in front of hotel, and to catch bus back to train station is 1/2 block away. Very close to Nyhaven. Mehr
"Don't ask for an early check in"
We arrived at nine AM and as expected no room was ready. After lunch at two pm we asked again as three would be routine. The clerk said he had a room, but neglected to add that it was under the eaves without stabnding room for one person to get to the far side of the bed. It was also hot with no ac and tiny. We were very tired and took a brief nap. […] Later that evening I asked about a room change and was told to bring down packed bags by noon the next day and maybe they wouold have a new room at three. They did and that room was much better with air and standing room. Had I been told the quality of the room at 2pm I would probably have waited for a better one at three, avoiding the hassle of repacking. Denmark is very expensive and this was a nice hotel at a good price, but I felt my wife and I were stuck in a room that was very marginal for the effrontery of asking for early check in, Mehr
"Tiny Rooms"
Stayed in a superior twin room, our friends stayed in a standard room which was bigger ??? But both were really small. The floors are all slanted throughout the hotel giving the impression that you are on a boat at times, spiral staircase slants to the middle, staff not very friendly, would not return, very poor value for money

"Great location, good service, small rooms"
Hotel is in a very good location. Many restaurants around it and close to metro. Service was very friendly and attentive. Room was a little too small but livable. Bed could be better - mattress was sliding off of it. Bathrooms are as big as the rooms. Free Internet - that was great!!
"Phoenix Copenhagen - Great Hotel"
The best thing about the Phoenix Copenhagen is the location. The area is a little quiet at night, but you don't have to go far for a delicious meal or a good glass of wine. The hotel itself is well maintained and our room was comfortable and clean. The front desk was friendly and helpful and gave great tips for places to eat in the area.

"The Phoenix Hotel, Copenhagen"
Hotel was very nice & central. Only flaw was that the bedrooms were quite small, especially the twin rooms. However, other than that, the service was excellent and we very much enjoyed our stay.
"great.....but...."
The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was lavish. Before eating it however, I should have checked to see if it was included in the daily price. All the hotels in Italy I booked through hotels.com included breakfast--this one in Denmark did not and I got the enormous bill for them when I checked out. The breakfasts cost twice as much as […] I've ever paid for breakfast ever! The furniture in the room was beautiful, but the room was too small for it. I booked a standard double but occupied it alone. I could barely fit in around the furniture, much less a second person. A smaller desk would have helped. There was no place to put my suitcase away because I used the closet for all my clothes because there was no dresser!--none could fit in. Bathroom was bright, modern and shower had very high water pressure and hot water (beware.) Mehr
"Good location but that was all"
Very run down, unappealing place. No charm, caters to huge group tours, mediocre front desk staff. Great location and that's about it.

"there are better places"
rather indifferent stuff, extremely small and uncomfortable bed with a single tiny pillow, a lot of stairs (in front and inside) with no help with luggage. Very expensive breakfast. However the location is excellent. I think there are better options for the same price range. Not recommended.
"Wonderful hotel and location"
Fabulous location, very nice room. Service was excellent, as was the incredibly diverse breakfast buffet.
"Convenient location"
We reserved a standard room at Royal Copenhagen for 1 night and since the hotel was overbooked, we got upgraded to a suite which is absolutely gorgeous. The place is impeccable and luxurious. Service was great. Hotel is conveniently located and within walking distance to the City Center (Royal Garden, Rosenborg Castle), Botanical Garden, Stroget (shopping […] area), Nyhhavn and more. We will not hesistate to recommend this hotel to our family and friends. Mehr
"Good location, old all over"
Great location, but the rooms have very old furniture.
"Very close to everything"
The Hotel in placed at a great location in central Copenhagen. With several scenic spots in a 5 min walking distance. the same counts for restaurante in all price levels. The hotel was quiert and clean.
"Great hotel"
clean, well-located
"Phoenix Copenhagen - a nice well situated hotel."
The young men at the reception were really nice and welcoming. The hotel is nice and well situated. We booked online and the offer was good value for money but was without breakfast which we then bought and that was expensive. So next time I would skip breakfast. We booked two rooms, us and 2 boys, only one of the rooms had air conditioning and it was […] during a heat wave! But the hotel is nice and the staff at the front desk was nice. Mehr
"Great hotel"
Excellent location, air conditioning in the rooms... this is a huge bonus in the Denmark summer heat.
"Excellent location and value"
I really enjoyed my stay at the Phoenix Hotel. I stayed in a single room and it was spacious and clean with a great bathroom. The hotel is located at the heart of everything, very close to a metro station to get to the airport. Free internet and a great breakfast. I couldn't ask for much more.
"Hotel Phoenix in Copenhagen"
Nice hotel, great staff, worth booking for couples. Look out if you are single, you may be stuck into a really small room. Our room was great though. Look out to get a room without "streetview". Friends of ours had an upgrade (nice) although the room was very noisy (crap) and the aircon didn't work.(even crapper lol) The staff was very helpful. The […] hotel has free WIFI and 2 computers + printer available for anyone to use. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace. Bottom line: If you get the right room everything is good. Mehr
"Phoenix Copenhagen - Fine"
The hotel itself was fine, with comfortable beds, and quiet (important to us!) They are generous about luggage storage, too. What was odd was that they did NOT recommend any of their own restaurants (calling them overpriced and not very interesting) -- yet tried to recommend VERY high priced restaurants in the area, completing missing one of the best […] about a block and a half away that is reasonable and has long, long hours (Restaurant Vita). One of our rooms had an inoperative air conditioner, and no one seemed to want to correct this or change the room to one with a working unit - for a 4-star hotel, this is utterly unacceptable. Check out was flawless, and because in Copenhagen it's best to call a taxi in advance of need, they had this set up perfectly for us to the airport. I'd say this is really about a 3.5 star hotel in terms of most services, although physically, the place is lovely and the location, close to the Nyhavn Canal but on a quieter street, is excellent. Mehr
"Great Location"
The location of the hotel is right where you want to be. You are in walking distance to Tivoli, the canal, shopping, metro, and the Ophelia Beach. The room was comfortable and was ready by noon(even though check in was 3pm). Overall very satisfied with how clean and friendly the staff was. They also have free internet in the lobby.
"Phoenix Copenhagen is a four stars hotel."
very well located close to the royal place, Amelienborg, channel and everything. Very good service, large room if compared with european and scandinavian standards.
"Exceeded expectations, strongly recommended"
Having tried many four-star hotels in Nyhavn and Tivoli over recent years on regular Copenhagen business trips, my colleague and I were first-timers at the Phoenix last week. Based on reviews of this hotel, and previous experience of other, similarly rated hotels in central Copenhagen, we were pleasantly surprised by the high level and consistency […] of presentation, finish and service encountered during our stay. We had booked superior rooms and were allocated rooms on the first and thrd floors, which-though different in size,-were well-furnished and equipped, comfortable, quiet and clean. Service throughout was attentive and helpful. The location, in a quiet area, but immediately adjacent to Nyhavn and Kongens Nytorv, is ideal for business visitiors to this part of town, and also tourists who appreciate superior hotel standards at the upper levels of four-star quality. My colleage and I have agreed that The Phoenix represents the best value we have experienced in Copenhagen in terms of location, quality, service and cost. It will be our preferred choice in the future. Mehr
"Excellent service, good location, free wi-fi"
WeI ended up being starnded in Copenhagen due to the volcano. We liked the hotel so much that we chose to stay on another 4 days. We really appreciated the free wi fi and the great service. It made out stay so much more comfortable. It is 1 block from the royal palace and 2 blocks from the metro.
"Superb Hotel"
Great Hotel in the Nyhavn section of Copenhagen. Good Restaurants and easy to get around.
"Great service; great location!"
We were able to upgrade on a special rate for a Superior room and it was well worth it (lots of room for luggage)! The front desk helped us with directions, early wake up and taxi calls and personal advice on sightseeing. We love the nearby Nuy Haven area and the antique stores .. and the pedestrian mall walk to restaurants was very convenient. Will […] definitely go back there again. Mehr
