Eine Woche war ich im Hotel, das nicht weit vom Union Square entfernt ist und direkt an einer Cable Car Linie liegt. Das Zimmer war super sauber und mehr als ausreichend groß. Das Frühstück eher einfach, aber das Personal sehr nett. Leider war der Warmwasserboiler kaputt, so dass es einen Tag kein heißes Wasser gab. Kann mal passieren, aber sollte natürlich nicht. Jedoch habe ich die kalte Dusche überlebt.

Das Hotel ist super guenstig gelegen nur einen Block von einer Cable Station Das Hotel war sauber und hatte in der elften Etage einen tollen Ausblick ueber Downtown Einen Mietwagen für eine Weiterfahrt z B in die Muir Woods kann man sich einen Block entfernt abholen

1. Found sofa bed broken on arrival (a rivet had given in). Fixed temporarily first night with cork screw. Told staff morning second day and was promised they'd fix it. Had to litterally walk janitor up fourth day to have it fixed. 2. Dropped some washing machine detergent on the floor first evening, figured it would be vaccuumed the day after. Most of it was still on the floor on departure (day 5) 3. Breakfast included basically nothing healthy, only the high sugar cereal, muffins and pastry often known as "continental". No even a plain toast to be found.

The location is very good. You can easily get the tram near the hotel. The hotel staff is very kind. But our bed cover smelled.We had to ask it changed.

Wall paper peeling in rooms, no hair dryer as promised, the website of Grosvenor Suites is misleading as rooms were certainly not as depicted, the breakfast room staff was unfriendly and gruff. Our rental car was damaged in the parking lot. The staff indicated there were no cameras and were unwilling to investigate the incident. They did provide an incident report for us, based on what we told them. Then we were charged for the parking at $35.00 a night, after we were assured that there would be no parking charge. We were told our bill was paid in full and there were to be no charges placed on my credit card. Two days later, the parking charges appeared on my card. Will attempt to resolve with Hotels.com as dealing with the Grosvenor Suites itself has proven difficult, to say the least.

Grosvenor's is a wonderful hotel. It's in Nob Hill (great area of San Francisco) and it's very close to everything you might want. As for the staff - they couldn't be better. They are very nice and helpful(even late hours of the night - I never got a rude/disgruntled employee). The internet (which is free btw) went on the fritz for about 1 hr during our stay and when I called to ask about it they immediately set to rectifying the situation and called back (after repairing it) to make sure our internet was working again. As for the rooms - our room was super clean, had a great view, and everything we could have wanted (lots of closet space, nicely appointed kitchen, clean bathroom w/a linen closet). Breakfast every morning is included and was very good (bagels, muffins, cereal, juice, coffee, etc). The rooms don't have AC (which we were worried about originally) but we quickly realized it's NOT needed in San Francisco - we just opened the window and the room was plenty cool enough. As for the location - they are situated in the center of the city so getting to places is really easy. Also the staff gives great directions and if you get lost & call the hotel they will help you figure out your way back (not like I speak from experience or anything). Anyway - the hotel is between Mason & Powell street (Powell has TONS of stores, restaurants, and shops) and you are 2 blocks from Union Square (where is GREAT shopping and you can catch a lot of buses and the sightseeing buses park there too) so you can easily get places without having to take a cab or walk very far. Additionally, you are only a few blocks from China town which you can easily spend the entire day exploring (check out the fortune cookie factory in Ross Alley). The only draw back to being on Nob Hill is that you have to walk up quite a hill to get there. We just did it slowly and were fine - or if we were really lazy we got on a bus and went up to California street & then walked down from there. Warning - t

I was not happy with the parking fees. The staff were very nice and helpful towards toursit. The breakfast was just doughnuts and muffins. Coffee and juices were good. No meat or no eggs.

Everything was ok, except that someone on our floor was cooking fish and the odor permeated the entire floor. The next day the smell was gone.

The suite was large, comfortable for the price. Lots of closet space, if you plan to stay for a while. The kitchen and living area made it easy to prepare and serve meals. The parking fee was outrageous, despite what one of the staff said that it was comparable to other hotels in the area. Most of the staff were helpful. Very convenient to the cable car which was helpful since the hotel sits on top of a steep hill. Nice view of the city from our room.

I was greeted by a very robotic mechanical version of a person at the front desk. She was not friendly at all, and just very down to business. She was efficient, and did not waste time. All the other hotel staff was very friendly and nice. The room was wonderful and huge. I was very happy with the cleanliness, the bedding was a little dated and probably should have been thrown out years ago, but not terrible. the room was clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was the oldest looking part, the tiles were coming up and needed some maintinance, but still usable. It was centrally located and a nice stay. the rooms do not appear to have air. It was nice out so it was nice to have the windows open. I was a little upset to see how much they charge for parking. And of course this website does not say anything with the excuse that rates always change. Well I thought this websote was supposed to make my booking experience easier and tell me everything. So upset with this website too. I can overlook the parking because the hotel rate was very reasonable. I just wish we had be told prior. it can kill a budget.

It worked great for our family of 5. We are finding it harder and harder to find a hotel with enough room for our family at a decent price.

It was definitely nice to have a kitchenette for staying in San Fran for several days. It was a shock not to have air conditioning, but the weather was nice enough for the room to still be comfortable. It took a little bit of getting used to sleeping with the windows open due to the noise, but we got used to it after a night or two.

We were looking for something unexpensive and conveniently located. We found it. It is close to all major points, in a quiet and safe area. Hotel staff very kind and helpful, the room was big and comfortable, packed with extra goodies : microwave, fridge, stove, toaster. Which we didn't use after all, because they even offered free continental breakfast.

Great location, nice room-clean etc, staff were very friendly and helpful, cheap washing machines and dryers. I would stay here again.

The hotel was an old one, but they keep the rooms and hotel very clean and nice. My husband and I took my niece and her three children for a two night stay and we were all very happy with the hotel. The rooms were large and functional and the complimentary breakfast was really great! I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Clean hotel, walls are a thin but was a quite hotel. Parking is expensive but is secure.

Well, dum me, I packed everything but miraculously left out my wireless card for my laptop. I arrived and the front desk gentleman gave me a very good room on the 15th floor with a spectacular view. And I asked whether they still have rooms with the old fashion cable enthernet connection because without my wireless card, I can not use wireless. He went out his way to help me allocate those rooms with the old fashion cable enthernet connection and even went with me personally to check the room and made sure the connection was there. Excellent service!

the only thing that was wrong with this hotel was that the dryer was out of order and the towells were not enough, we called up to ask for more but they did just one day, the other days they did not bring more towells

I was very satisfied with the price I paid for the hotel suite. The room was very big, 2 queen and 1 pull out couch. There is a stove with 4 burners, 1 microwave, and a big frig. Kitchenette is equipped with dishes and pots and pans. The hotel has its own parking garage which makes everything convenient because I hate parking my car in another garage down the street from the hotel. The next time I visit SF I'll be staying here again.

It is well worth for the money I paid. One bad impression I had was the smell in the bedroom, especially in the pillow cover (may not have been changed). However, this is well compensated by utilities provided (free internet, big refrigerator, the room even has all equipment that you can cook). It is located a bit uphill, but close enough from union square.

Great view, walking distance to union spuare, pubs and restaraunts. Price was great for the location and view that you get. We could see Macys all lit up for Christmas from our window.

WAS IN TOWN FOR BUSINESS AND WAS A BIT SKEPTICAL ABOUT THE HOTEL AND THE AREA. WAS MET BY COURTEOUS STAFF, IT'S A SECURE BUILDING, GOOD LOCATION, NICE ROOM. DEFINITELY WILL GO BACK TO GROSVENOR SUITES

This was a quiet and comfortable room for the money (last minute deals!)--even opposite the elevator. The only rumblings were from the setting up for the continental breakfast on the floor below. The room safe is big enough for a full-size laptop. The staff was very flexible with late-checkouts; even with leaving the car in parking until afternoon shopping. And even from my lower-floor room, the citiscapes were picturesque. I'll stay again.

Outstanding hotel in iots price range.

My recent stay at Grosvenor Suites was great. The location of the hotel is excellent with Union Square just a few blocks down the hill. This hotel also offers parking (for a fee of course), but many of the others don't have any parking at all. It was very convenient to where I was going in the city and having the option of taking our own car as opposed to a taxi was nice.

I stayed at Grosvenor Suites in September of 2008. I loved the location of the hotel: it is half block from Powel Street cable car line, 3 blocks from Union Square. The room and ammenities are not fancy by any means, but are at least clean. The room itself had a decent size and the view was stunning. I recommend this hotel to everyone who value location over everything else.

The hotel was in a good location, convenient to everything, room was clean and housekeeping and maintenance staff were very friendly. Except for one member of the front desk staff, they were not very friendly and we did not feel welcomed. I would not be returning to this hotel if we get back out there.

We stayed at the Grosvenor Suites for just three nights, but we enjoyed every moment there! The view from our room was spectacular! The charming bells of the cable cars provided us with a warm wake up in the mornings and the city lights gave us a gentle glow to lull us to sleep every night. The place was spacious and bright, with so much closet space we could never have used it all! The parking rate was a bit high, but it was very secure. We had our two year-old with us, so we had to bring a car. If she was older, we'd just have gone without a car, and would have done just fine. The beds were comfy enough (although a bit itchy, pillows could use some work, too), and the kitchen was so nice to have. It's just a few walkable blocks to Chinatown, a fun cable car ride to the Wharf, and a nice walk to Union Square. We'll definitely be back to beautiful San Francisco, and I can tell you that we'll definitely be guests at the Grosvenor Suites again! *One little thing* We had to carry our daughter's stroller up and down stairs to get to/from the elevator each day that we didn't take the car. Not a big deal for us, but it's worthy of a mention for those with limited mobility. If you are driving, no worries then, because the elevator lets you out at the garage so you can just drive on out.

The girl at the front desk was unfriendly and unprofessional.

Room was relatively large and hotel is in a good location for the rate, but the room seemed dirty and worn. Site listed the hotel as having been renovated, but it looks like it was 10 years ago. The breakfast is donuts, juice, and coffee. The computer room is a computer in a cubby hole off the lobby. Staff ranged from exceptionally helpful to ignorant and careless. Also note that the hotel is nearly at the top of Nob Hill - most areas of interest are steeply downhill, so bring your hiking shoes!

more room than i expected, very clean

The location is wonderful -- about a block from the street car. However, the negatives outweighed the positives. My room was very warm & without any thermostat control. On Day 2 of my stay, one of the two elevators was out of service. As there are about 18 floors at this property, the wait became significant. Every day I was there, my electronic key failed & each time, I had to return to the front desk to have it reconfigured. I don't know if I'd stay there again or not.

Could not get Internet access for nearly half a day. The hotel could use cleaner and better laundary rooms. Service overall was very good. Great room for the money and a good location for me!

We had a really enjoyable stay at this hotel. Great location, great sized rooms, great city!! There was nothing really to moan about. You do have to pay for parking, but at least you get parking in the city which is very useful. Staff were polite and helpful. Would definitely go back.

The Grosvenor was a economical place to stay on Nob Hill - close to many things in which we were interested.However, the price of parking at the hotel was outrageous compared to what other nearby hotels had to offer. That would color my choice the next time I plan to stay in the City. The included breakfast was a nice way to start the day, although I would have preferred coffee fixings in the room as well.

Very disappointed with this hotel - the staff was outstanding, but the amenities were terible. The closets were bigger than the kitchenette - the room was extremely small. The lobby was a tiny desk - the neighborhood is great, though. Can walk to a lot of different attractions.
