Bernini Bristol - A Sina Hotel - Rom

Very nice hotel, not cheap, but we paid extra for the convenient location and because it had a jacuzzi & sauna. The front desk staff, porters & concierge were very good. The breakfast was staggeringly overpriced and the serving staff were apathetic. They couldn't be bothered to itemize our a la carte breakfast and seemed inconvenienced when we didn't […] want to pay (expensive!) a head for a buffet breakfast. The spa facilities were nice and we used the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi on 2 of our 3 evenings. However, the miserable women in charge initially refused us towels on one occasion and then gave us a hand towel each reluctantly. We weren't warned but there was a private booking on the Saturday night so we were refused access that evening. We were also made to change in our room rather than the changing rooms in the spa! The spirit of Basil Fawlty still lives on... When I raised these concerns with the excellent lady on front desk (who handled my complaint superbly) she was suitably concerned and rather embarassed and explained that the Spa wasn't run by the hotel. Wish I'd known. So, by all means go, but don't visit the spa unless you're ready to argue for what you want! Mehr

Beautiful hotel close to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. The service was excellent. The concierge arranged for a wonderful cooking class for us and was helpful with other arrangements as well. The rooms were larger by European standards and ours had a small terrace which was lovely. The bathroom was a comfortable size as well. There a is rooftop restaurant/bar […] with an incredible view. The perfect place to relax and enjoy the vista with a glass of wine at the end of the day. I found all the staff very accommodating and friendly. Locationwise, it is walkable to all major Roman sites. It is the busy Piazza Barberini but no traffic noise issues in our room. There are cafes very close on the Via Veneto. We had a great time. There was some confusion an a small hiccup mat the time of check-in but the manager made everything ok immediately. The hotel is centrally located and just about everything is walking distance. The train station is close as well. There is a subway stop outside the hotel and we took it a few times. We felt very safe. I haven't been […] to Rome in many many years therefore I had several questions for the concierge. They were wonderful and very helpful from making me aware of all the points of interest to making dinner reservations at a lovely restaurant in the hills that overlook Rome to finding me Olio, napkins, and silverware at 2am. I would absolutely stay there again. Umberto and Massimiliano were wonderful and a huge help. Mehr

This hotel was a 5 star hotel

This hotel lives up to its reputation. Check out the hotel's website for photos that represent the decor accurately. I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the room; it was larger than I expected but room light fixtures can use upgrading. The location is perfect. The concierge is ready to assist in arranging tour guides to reservations for dinner […] at restaurants of choice. Should you stay here, you must have dinner at L'Olimpo Restaurant in the evening. The food is delicious, the service is impeccable, and the ambience...well, what can compare to overlooking the Vatican Palace amidst the moon and the stars! Mehr

An elegant and gracious hotel. Excellent location, comfortable room and very professional staff.

Very close walking to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. Taxi service right outside door. Great Location. Very friendly staff. We had two rooms with three in each room. Plenty of space in rooms. Air conditioning worked wonderfully.

We had a wonderful stay at the Bernini Bristol. The location was excellent - the "hop on hop off" bus stopped right outside the door. The roof terrace was a great place to enjoy our evening drinks. The buffet breakfast was fit for a king. A great experience in Rome.

the location is pretty ideal but for the price...the hallways need to be updated more and large flat screen TVs in each room with more modern amenities! Service was very good except for walking in with 3 bags and no one even offering to open a door for me!!

Great staff and great restaurant, but 2 major issues befell us on this trip. First, one in our party used the restroom at the rooftop restaurant and actually got locked in the room, rescued only after having to kick the door to draw attention. Second, the air conditioning didn't work in the room, during an incredible heatwave. A staff member responded […] quickly but all he could do was check that the controls were set correclty, which they were -- the AC was simply not working, and nothing could remedy it that night. So we sweated it out (literally), eased very little by opening the window (which served mostly to bring in street noise). The mystery me to me was how the matter was not known to management. Is it possible the air conditioning just stopped working after the last guest left and before we arrived? I find that hard to believe, but made a point of mentioning it at checkout. This is by all appearances a good hotel, but I don't think a 5-star rating is warranted if the room is too hot to sleep in and guests get locked in restrooms. Mehr

Great location. This is by no means a five-star hotel.

Great location, walking distance to many of Rome's sites. Front desk staff and concierge were very accommodating and friendly. View from the restaurant on top floor was spectacular. Housekeeping staff promptly brought additional requests to room.

Kjempebra hotell som ligger svært godt til i forhold til opplevelser i Roma. Var veldig fornøyd med hotellet, det eneste som drar ned er at sengene var litt for harde. Ellers super service. Har aldri opplevd at rommet blir ordnet 2 ganger om dagen før. Og så fikk vi sjokolade og en oppdatert værmelding til kvelden. Veldig bra hotell :-)

Accueil chaleureux, situation de l'hotel hyper central, tout à pied, conseils du concierge pour bons restos excellent, chambre propre, belle, service de nuit, petit déjeuner pas de pain frais seul bémol. Super séjour à refaire dans le même hotel.

地下鉄の駅がホテルの前にあり、観光には便利だと思います。部屋は広く、調度品がクラシカルな感じでとても落ち着きました。ただ、一歩外に出ると人通りがとても多いので、静かな雰囲気を好まれる方には少々不向きかもしれません。フロントが小さく、チェックインの際、かなり待たされたのが残念でした。

ベルニーニ駅出てすぐでスペイン階段へも1駅。歩けます。大変便利。

Vi valgte hotellet ut fra beliggenhet, beskrivelse og omtale. Vi ble ikke skuffet. Dette hotellet har god kvalitet på rom og service, og det ligger veldig godt plassert i gå avstand til alle historiske steder i Roma. F.eks 10 minutter til Spanske trappen eller Trevi fontenen. Til Vatikanet tok vi Metro og spaserte gjennom byen tilbake. Hotellet ligger […] flott på Piazza Barberini med to flotte Bernini fontener, cafeer, Metro stasjon og Taxi ved døren. Vi valgte et litt oppgradert rom som lå i 6. etasje med fin utsikt, og romservice 2 ganger i døgnet. Vi mener så absolutt det var verdt prisen, og vi kommer gjerne tilbake til både Bernini Bristol hotel og byen Roma! Mehr

Hygelig rom med flott utsikt over plassen. Til tross for 30 graders varme i Roma var rommet deilig avkjølt. Takterassen var nydelig. Betjeningen var innom rommet 2 ganger pr. dag, skiftet håndklær og redde opp. Meget vennlig betjening i resepsjonsområdet. Kommer mer enn gjerne tilbake.

Läget var jätte bra, gångavstånd till det mesta man vill se. Mer ett affärshotell än myshotell. Tycker inte det var värt priset, ganska slitet och ingen direkt charm. Vi föll för terassen när vi bokade men det var alldeles för höga priser för att man skulle äta och dricka där. Frukost var inte tal om att kosta på sig. Ett kokt ägg 60 kr? Nej då var […] det bättre att gå över gatan och ta en cappucciono och en croaissant för 20kr. Mehr

This is definitively not a 5 star hotel. Everything is on average level. The room was rather small, and the bathroom has hade hanging and dropping fitings. The breakfast was OK, as best, but no fresh vegetables at all. With outside temperatures at 25~27 degrees C. (May, 2010), when I have asked the front desk manager, why the air conditioning is not […] working, his answer was that it is still winter time! When I have mentioned that I will claim to the travel agency, thay have started the air conditioning. Mehr
