das Bad war weniger sauber und das Frühstück war sehr teuer vorallem da der Kaffee aus dem Automaten kam bei Wurst und Käse konnte ich mich nicht überwinden es zu probieren das bedeutet ist man dort nur kurz und nicht auf das Frühstück angewiesen ist das okay aber für länger eher weniger...

Hotel ok, preis eher hoch aber infolge Ostern Hochsaison daher vertretbar. Frühstück nicht im Hotel eingenommen. Fahrradverleih via Hotel teuer und umständlich. Zimmer gut, modernes Interieur. Dusch + WC Glaswand. Glaswand Dusche rinnt, daher Wasser im WC und teilweise auf dem Boden, getrocknet mit Handtuch.

Guter Service, reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet. Zmmmer zweckmässig und saube. Zimmer auf Strassenseite sind ziemlich lärmig.

Das Hotel ist verkehrsgünstig gelegen, aber man muss ein ruhiges Zimmer nach hinten verlangen, sonst hört man die Straßenbahn die halbe Nacht. Frühstück ist in Ordnung. Es gibt in der Lobby einen Internet-Zugang ohne eigenen Computer.

Das Hotel ist super, würde es jedem weiterempfehlen! Die Zimmer sind schön und mit allem was man braucht ausgestattet. Auch die Lage ist sehr toll(sehr schönes Quartier)!Hat alles was man braucht in der nähe: schöner Park, kleiner Supermark, Coffeeshop, Museen... mit dem Tram welches fast alle 5minuten fährt hat man ca 20 minuten bis zum Zentrum! Vorsicht […] mit dem MORGENESSEN, es ist brutal teuer pro Person 20Euro :-(, auch ein Wasser an der Bar kann bis zu 7Euro kosten.-(!!!!!! Mehr

Nice area of Amsterdam. Rooms are noisy to the front of the street and as there are just old windows you may bring your ear plugs. My reservation indicated a room to the back ( 1 week in advance ) - but unfortunatly they did not received ??? Service could be better! Def. not a 4 Star - Max 3 Star. Not worth the money...

The hotel is situated close to the city center - just a quick strole through Vondel Park and then you are right in the middle of Amsterdam city. The hotel is a bit pricy and the service could be better - also there is no parking at the hotel and you have to pay approx EUR 28 a day for parking. We were initially given a room which was not what we had […] reserved and only once we had pointed it out to the staff were we offered a room in line with the specifications on the homepage. Stayed two nights at the hotel. Booked a superior room which was really standard. Walls need painting and carpet is fairly old! If this was the superior room I do not want to know what standard is. No minibar (but a kettle for tea)Bathroom was o.k. and clean. Breakfast was nice and the Vondelpark is close by (location is not central but o.k.), So pretty […] average hotel - but i was a bit dissapointed by the room. The Hotel exceeded all of our expectations, the location was great, and the transport links were also excellent, i would highly recommend this hotel to all

a little bit away from the hustle and bustle, but still not too far a walk to the centre, plus the tram line runs right next to the hotel and can take you right to the heart of the city

Great hotel off the beaten path but still accessible to the major areas via Tram #2. Also, the hotel rents really nice bikes that are super for seeing the local windmills or getting just about anywhere in Amsterdam. Great staff. Clean hotel. Highly recommended.

Cozy hotel, conveniently located - just 15 minutes from the center by tram -. Breakfast is good, I recommend to get it included. Very nice shower as well. Only drawback is the small size of the rooms, even for European standards.

In total, a very nice stay at Park Plaza Vondelpark. The park is located just behind the hotel were you can see the parrots flying and squaking lively. Only two minor things to bear in mind; 1) the room was rather dark due to a very small window and 2) the breakfast was complete luxury yet too expensive. Really enjoyed my stay in this Hotel. Receptionist spoke English and were very helpful. The rates were very affordable and good value for money. Positives: clean comfortable rooms, flat screen television with English channels, mini fridge, big shower, tea/ coffee facilities, room cleaned everyday with fresh towels, free wifi. We rented bikes in the […] city as was cheaper than the hotel but there is the option of renting at the desk. Hotel is on Vondelpark which we could cycle through every morning and come out at Hard Rock Cafe area, which had a lovley breakfast/Lunch restaurant called B&B (highly recommend if not getting breakfast at hotel). The neighbourhood was quiet which was good for getting sleep and with the short cycle to Leidseplein where there are numerous restaurants and bars (15mins walk) . Also the tram No 2 goes just near Hotel which brings you straight to central station, town centre and Leidseplein (you can buy tickets at reception) Overall really enjoyed my stay with Hotel Plaza and would recommend to all. Great hotel. Clean. Internet access. Tram close by

Park Plaza is a reasonable hotel with clean, sparse rooms and amiable staff. Located in Amsterdam South, it is not the best location if looking to be close to the city center or if looking for the comforts of a 4 or 5 star hotel.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. On the main tram line and close to Olympic Stadium P+R which makes getting around easy. Breakfast was delish and plentiful - good start to the day! Highly reccommend for a affordable & comfortable stay.

This hotel was very well located in a quiet residential area near the Vondelpark which was areal bonus to our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times and the hotel was very clean and tidy. It was also very convenient to the city centre by using the number 2 tram which ran frequently at a stop nearby. However, the so-called 'superior' […] rooms were on the small size and could be best described as 'functional' only. The most disappointing aspect of the room was the toilet and shower area which was divided from the rest of the room only by a glass divide. We would describe ourselves as 'liberal' but we felt that this feature was poor, especially when one wanted to do your number two's! In conclusion, I think that overall the hotel was good but not sure if we would return because of the above toilet arrangements. Mehr

Hotel's location is in a quiet residential area, far from the hustle bustle of the city center, if thats what you are looking for. Tram station is just a two minute walk and would take 5-10 mins to reach the tourist places which is very convenient. And about the room, its clean and comfortable, but can be better especially with an en-suite bathroom […] which is only separated by glass walls. So it feels like a toilet in the bedroom. And this was superior room so wonder how the normal one will be. Staff seems to be friendly although didn't have much interaction with them. Didn't try the food there, so can't say much. Overall satisfied with what we got, but the hotel standard is not same as the 4 star I've seen in other cities. Also don't expect any great views from the room, atleast the one we got had none, our window facing neighbor's wall. Mehr

Pretty clean, good area near park and tram and center. No minibar, some rooms not quite 4 stars. A good thing (despite other comments): bathroom has non-transparent walls, and NOT glass walls. Staff and breakfast ok. Nice city Amsterdam -worth seeing.

Overall this was a disappointing hotel. Plus points were that the reception staff were very friendly and obliging. The entrance area is modern and welcoming. I was able to use the internet free of charge. However, this hotel is much further out of the city centre than thought. It is a 5-10 minute walk to the nearest tram stop and 45 minutes to the jordaan […] or city centre which was not pleasant in the cold and rain. The room had comfy beds but no extra blankets and the heater did not work. The bathroom made a whistling noise when the light was on and the television intermittently turned on without warning. We did not have the breakfast as this was so pricey, but felt this hotel was not cost effective in general due to it's location and ordinary rooms for the price. Mehr

It's not a particularly modern hotel, in fact, we suspect it is a converted brothel. Pink doors with red lights above, very suspect. However, we enjoyed our stay. It's a very peaceful location and it's on the tram line to the city center. For the price, it's ok to stay for a couple of nights.

We have stayed at this hotel before due to the proximity to my son's home. However, it is on the #2 tram line, and only 3 stops to the museum district. There is a great bakery up the street 1 block that opens at 7:30 a.m. It is wonderful. Generally, it is a mostly a residential area, and closely related to Vondelpark for walking. Just got back; going […] again in September and staying there again. Some rooms a little small, tricky bathtub/shower (watch your step), room carpet a little smudged, but room kept very clean. Mehr

We recommend this hotel to those who travel lot and does not need to be in the center of the city. tram is expensive and long walking distance to Museum district. Hotel receptionists were kind but everything was "go into the web" and do it yourself attitutde. Our room did not have a bathtub and queen beds (single put together)when we specifically requestged. […] We were told because we booked it through "third party" this is what we get. Our room was the size of two queen size bed. Could not open suitcases but quiet and beautiful surrounding by Vontel Park. We were charged an extra city tax when our room was quoted a "all taxes included." Mehr

Hotel rooms cramped. I upgraded to "Executive Suite" a little better but not much. Nicer decor. Really felt squashed ih the room.

In terms of location, this hotel is excellently located for the museum quarter (10/15 mins walk away) and within 15/20 minutes you can be in central Amsterdam via tram. The tram stop is a few minutes walk away from the hotel. Vondelpark is also right next to the hotel. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The room we stayed in was quite […] tight in terms of space. The bathroom is separated from the room by frosted windows but you get used to this quite quickly. The bed was very comfy and we had a nice view of the park. Free wifi is also available. The breakfast buffet is rather limited and there is no room service or hotel restaurant on site (there is a bar which serves small snacks however). Overall, satisfied with the hotel, although as is the case with most hotels in Amsterdam, more expensive than I would normally pay for a similar type of hotel in another city. Mehr

I'm surprised at how well this hotel rates on travel sites, but that may say more about hotels in general in Amsterdam than this particular very average hotel which was nor good value for the price. We had a "superior" room, so I hate to think what the standard room looks like. It was clean but small and in dire need of some TLC. The hallway carpet […] was quite stained. The staff were courteous. The immediate neighbourhood is pretty quiet and uninspiring, although it's a relatively short walk to the main museum area, and a tram stop is very close. The highlight was being on the doorstep of the Vondelpark which is beautiful to stroll through at any time of day. Mehr

This hotel is featured at Vondelpark which is just beside Leidesplein, however the hotel is at the other end of Vendelpark and about 15-20 mins walk to Leidsplein. It is a relatively nice hotel - modern and quirky - however the bathroom was a wetroom which was just glassed off and not really seperate therefore there was little bathroom privacy. The […] rooms were very small, although i think this is fairly standard in Amsterdam! The room service were fairly insistent and impatient in the mornings to service your room, However the hotel was nice and in a nice, quite posh, are of Amsterdam with several nice Brasseries on the way from Leisplein and the No 2 tram passed every 10minutes or so daily, It was just a little more inconvenient later at night and when the trams stopped at 12/30am. I would recommend a stay if you prefer to be out of the thick of everything. I personally prefer to be a little closer but i guess you pay a little more for that priviledge. Mehr

We stayed at this hotel in mid-April and got very lucky with the weather. It was in the 70 to 80 degree F range all week. Being adjacent to Vondelpark was perfect. We rented bikes from the hotel and used them all week for sightseeing, etc. We had one problem with the shower mechanism, but a maintenance person repaired the shower quickly. The room was […] a decent size with two twin beds that we were able to move away from each other, as I was staying with a friend. The wireless internet connection worked very well and was reliable. I used it to communicate home and meet up with local friends. We did not take advantage of the breakfast, available each morning for a fee. We did visit the V-Bar Lounge for lunch and diner a few days, and it was great, especially the raised, outdoor patio. The neighborhood was beautiful, with a tram stop, restaurants, shops, the park, and cab service all close by. Mehr

First of all to get into the hotel with your Bags,you need to get to the high stairs in front of the hotel.Than to go to your room also going down the stairs than you can use a bad Elevator etc.There is a ( old ) lady at the front desk don't care to much to go the way to help you and give it to a jonger lady to help us.We are not to happy next year […] we will find an other Hotel around There. Great location - easy walking distance of the city centre through the Vondelpark, or you can take the Number 2 tram - stops very close to the hotel. Nice quiet neighbourhood. Hotel was clean and was very happy with the room. Windows aren't double glazed and the traffic could be heard during the night. Shower situated in very high-sided bath - not suitable […] for the elderly - wouldn't be able to step in or out safely. Breakfast was very expensive at €19.50 per person. We breakfasted out every day for €12.50 and breakfast was big enough for 2! Mehr

Please note that this hotel features an open bathroom layout where the partition between the toilet and the room is just partially frosted glass that does not reach all the way to the ceiling. I found myself using the common bathroom on the ground floor if I wanted some privacy. Room cleanliness leaves a bit to be desired, the carpet did not invite […] walking without slippers (not provided). The hotel is otherwise perfectly located in a posh neighbourhood, very close to the park, a tram stop, a supermarket and a limited number of takeout and fast foot joints. Note that public transportation in Amsterdam costs anywhere between 5 and 7 euros per day depending on the chip card that you purchase, and the hotel does require a tram to get to from the city center. Good value for money, staff friendly, Hotel clean. We really enjoyed our stay.

Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Bike rentals at the hotels are convenient and competitively priced. Room was comfortable although sometimes too warm. Internet worked great. Cozy bar for a night cap after a long day of sightseeing. Great value for the price!

We stayed at the hotel at the end of September for 5 nights. The hotel is very clean and modernly designed, and located in a nice and quite neighborhood near the park and not far from the city center. However, as for the service - this is not a 4-star hotel at all. To begin with, we had to take our luggage ourselves to the room - to get there we had […] to pass through a steep staircase until the elevator. The room itself was extremely uncomfortable. The bathroom and bedroom were in fact a one space - highly inconvenient for a couple. Furthermore, there was no mirrors in the room (other then one tiny mirror inside the closet), and the sink was situated outside the so called bathroom. when we got to Amsterdam it was already cold at night, however the central heat system was still set to summer mode, meaning that it was quite cold in the room. On top of that, we were equipped with two single and relatively thin quilts, although the room was ordered for a couple. It took us 3 days before we got a descent quilt, and the heat system was not set to heat the room throughout our stay, even though we asked for it repeatedly. And to top that, the hotel staff lost one of my girlfriend's shoes!! When we approached the hotel staff with that issue, nobody believed us. It got to the point where the hotel manager itself accused us of having an unusually untidy room, and that the shoe must be inside the room. When we checked out we insisted to be compensated in some manner, and about an hour after we left I received a phone call from the manager that the shoe has been found. The manager promised to send the shoe to our next destination via express mail, however, the shoe had reached that destination only 8 days after we left Amsterdam - we were already back home by then, causing us further inconvenience in our attempts to get the shoe back. In short - keep out of this hotel. This is by no means a 4-star facility, and the service was disrespectful to say the least. Mehr

Nice and clean hotel. The staff was very, very helpful and mostly friendly. One or two of the people at the front desk weren't as nice as they could be, but hey, no big deal there. The room was a nice size, and the shower was great. There was some weird wet spot on the wall in the corner of the room, but who cares. It wasn't moldy, just wet. The bed […] was comfortable and there was free coffee in the room. I wish the internet in the room was free, but it wasn't. I think that is the only real downside to it. The hotel is in a nice location if you don't want to be surrounded by obnoxious, drunk/stoned tourists. Nice and quiet location. A bit of a walk from the city center, but a street-car that goes to the city center is right out front of the hotel. So get on the tram, or if the weather is nice, walk through Vondelpark. Mehr

It was about 10 min from the center using tram number 2 . It turned out that it was in a really nice neighborhood with grocery shop, and all sorts of really nice quality restaurants and boutiques and really nice clothing stores. I enjoyed the neighborhood walking around and feeling like a local and visiting the park everyday with my kids to feed the […] ducks. The hotel itself was excellent quality with a big clean room and excellent breakfast! Loved it, worth every penny. Mehr

The staff of the Vondelpark was very helpful. They gave us options and tips for sights we wanted to see and even had tickets behind the desk to the Van Gogh museum that were sold out online. It saved us an hour of waiting in line. (no extra charge) The hotel is close enough to the museum district to walk there, though 2 main trolly stops are only a […] 1-3 blocks away (depending on which you need). The rooms are simple but stylish and clean and the location is far enough away from the city center so that the well-lit streets are quiet in the evening and all night. Mehr
