Das Mediterranean Inn liegt etwas außerhalb des Zentrums Seattles in der Nähe des Seattle Centers (mit Space Needle). Es ist bequem per Bus (tageszeitabhängiger Preis zwischen $2,25 und $2,50) zu erreichen. Gleich nebenan ist ein Starbucks, dessen Kaffeeduft in die Lobby des Hotels zieht. Unser Zimmer war mit einer Mikrowelle, Spüle und einem Kühlschrank sowie großen Flachbildschirm ausgestattet. Leider hatte es keinen Safe, was aber nicht schlimm war. Das Bad war sauber und groß. Leider ohne Fenster. Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer ging in den Innenhof des Hotels. Schade aber nicht so schlimm, denn die Dachterrasse des Hotels erlaubt einen Blick über Seattle. Die Angestellten des Hotels machten einen netten und hilfsbereiten Eindruck und haben uns auch um 4 Uhr morgens bei unsere Abreise geholfen. Das Hotel verfügt über WLAN und ein Business Center. Das WLAN ist für $5 pro Tag nutzbar und kann mit einem Fahrradausleihprogramm (in Summe $7,99) kombiniert werden. Im Sommer bestimmt sehr sinnvoll. Das Business Center ist kostenlos nutzbar (ebenso wie die Drucker und Faxgeräte darin). Außerdem verfügt das Hotel über einen Fitnessraum und diverse Münzwaschmaschinen und Trockner). Noch etwas zur Umgebung. In unmittelbarer Nähe (3-5 min zu Fuß) sind diverse Restaurants, Kneipen und auch ein Kino. Ebenso wie ein Safeway Supermarkt.

Komfortable großzügige Zimmer, unseres mit komplett eingerichteter Küche. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet mit Obst, Joghurt, Müsli etc. Minishop und ebenfalls ein kleiner Starbucks sind auch im Hotel vorhanden. Die Lage ist der einzige Minuspunkt für uns gewesen, da sehr weit vom Innenstadtbereich entfernt (zu Fuß ca. 25 Minuten). Ebenfalls direkt an der Interstate gelegen, somit 24 Stunden die Autos zu hören.

Die Vorzüge des Hotels sind eindeutig: 1.) Die ausgezeichnete Lage für Reisende die möglichst schnell (ca. 200 m zu Fuß) vom Hotel bis zu Check-In Schalter kommen möchten. Wegen der Kürze des Weges geht das sogar zu Fuß bei Regen ohne Schirm! 2.) Die unmittelbare Nähe (ca. 250 m) zum LightRail Link zwischen Flughafen und Seattle Downtown, wobei die Tageskarte ca. 5$ kostet. Fahrtzeit ca. 35 Minuten. Ansonsten war das Hotel älter in der Ausstattung (ungefähr 70er Jahre Bauzeit) mit einigen Upgrades (z.B. zwei neue Flachbildschirme). Das Standard-Zimmer (Bad, Schlafzimmer, Auftenhaltsraum) war sauber. Die Lounch und der Frühstücksbereich des Hotels gepflegt. Das Frühstück war hingegen nur Durchschnitt, so daß man eher in Seattle Downtown frühstücken möchte. Der sehr Nahe gelegene Flughafen bietet diesbezüglich auch nur wenig an. Einzige Kritikpunkte meines Zimmers auf der Seite zum Flughafen war der laute Straßenverkehr des 'Internationl Boulevard' for dem Hotel (der Fluglärm hingegen war gut erträglich). Und die Klimaanlage, welche in Seattle aber selten nötig wäre, wenn man das Fenster öffenen könnte. Das ging zwar mechanisch problemlos, aber bei dem Straßenverkehr-Krach ... Ich würde das Hotel dennoch weiterempfehlen. In der Summe war es rund.

Die Innenstadt von Seattle erstreckt sich entlang des Puget Sound vom historischen Pioneer Square im Süden bis zum schicken Belltown im Norden. Dazwischen reihen sich Bürogebäude, Einkaufsgalerien und Apartments in Backsteinhäusern an den grünen Boulevards aneinander. Hier befinden sich das Kongresszentrum und Pike Place Market, wo Lachse fliegen können. Gäste sollten auch unbedingt die futuristische öffentliche Hauptbibliothek besuchen. Die Zwillingsstadien Seattles und der International District liegen südlich von der Innenstadt.

Das Hotel Five liegt unmittelbar im Zentrum. Der Service war sehr gut und ich habe mich die fünf Tage, die ich in Seattle verbracht habe sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Hotel ist ein Designhotel, das von außen relativ unscheinbar ausschaut aber innen sehr schön gestaltet ist. Ich kann dieses Hotel sehr weiterempfehlen. I have stayed at Hotel 5 in Seattle twice now, and both stays were very enjoyable. The staff is helpful and firendly, the location is perfect for my business which took me as far north as the Seattle Center, and as far south as the Stadiums. A short walk or cheap cab fare, and all areas of downtown Seattle are easily accessable. The cafe located in […] the building was also quick and convenient (not to mention, good). I have business in that area of Seattle, a few times a year, and would definately consider Hotel 5 for my next stay. Mehr

I stayed here in April 2012; the hotel seemed to have been recently renovated, and I enjoyed my stay. Only two drawbacks: 1. The walls are very thin-- when other people were opening their doors, it sounded like they were opening mine! My neighbors weren't too noisy, though, so this wasn't an issue. 2. "Hotel FIVE - clean, fun, good price"
I stayed here for a few days on a downtown business trip and was quite satisfied. It's located within walking distance of various tourist sites and restaurants, and only a 5-10 minute walk from the convenient train to the airport. My room was clean and comfortable. The only minor complaint was that my keycard became demagnetized twice during my stay. […] On both occasions, the front desk staff fixed the problem without difficulty. Not terrible, not good just ok. Bathroom doors don't shut all the way everybody goes to the bathroom with you, not pleasent. Smelled like paint, water service was interrupted for 6 hours, hot water in tub was only warm not hot. Is a couple of blocks off downtown and the EMP. "Under Construction/Next to the Ice Machine"
Would of been a better trip had they not parked me right next to the ice machine which was making loud noises every 5 minutes between the hours of 3 am and 7am. Hotel itself isn't terrible although there was a decent amount of construction going on in the lower floors while we were there.

we stayed for 4 nights and the staff was awesome. Rooms are ultra modern and everything is top notch. Only major complaint my wife and I had was the ice machine was right outside our door and very loud during the night when it was filling up or dumping ice cubes on at a time. "Close to attractions"
This hotel is located in the Belltown neighborhood and is close to all the major attractions of Seattle. The Space Needle is just a few blocks away and the Pike Place Market is about a 10 minute walk. Shopping is very close and there are good restaurants nearby. In regards to the hotel itself, they are under construction right now so the 2nd and 3rd […] floors were closed off. We stayed on the 4th floor and our bedroom window faced 5th Street. The Airtrain tracks were on our side of the building but I didn't feel noise was an issue. I actually didn't hear any street noise. I could hear when our neighbors took a shower or there were people in the lobby but that's about it. The condition of the room was okay. I really liked the decor but felt that some of the remodeling was a little lacking. The bathroom door slides and was actually off the tracks so we weren't able to close it. It wasn't a big deal for us being a couple but would have a liked a regular door. The shower door was also messed up in that it didn't close all the way which made water leak on the floor. We ended up using a towel as a mat so we wouldn't slip and fall. With other reviews, people complained of the room being too small but I felt it was fine. The bed was comfortable except that the mattress was on rollers so whenever you tried to sit up and lean against the headboard, the bed ended up sliding away. A little annoying. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its convenience and friendly staff. Mehr

"Wait a minute..."
I thought this hotel was great, however wait to stay there until they are done with construction. Although they leave a letter in your room saying the noise won't be audible, it is and it's terrible. Great service, great room, great location, but still under construction and too loud!!!

I'm not sure what they are going for but I thought the decorum was odd. No microwave or fridge in the room. Overall the bathroom was clean and well done in regard for their remodel. Bed squeaked and the floor lamp was awkwardly placed; it didn't really fit. Overall I liked the place. But some of the amenities were lacking. Cold showers on a cold morning...not good. A little hipper than it is practical in its design and layout (rolling beds, sliding bathroom doors that wake everyone up at night, pretty but dim lighting, etc). Staff was friendly and helpful.
"Hotel 5 is like sleeping in an Ikea"
The hotel was fairly nice trending towards modern and environmentally friendly. The furniture was straight out of Ikea. No cable, painfully slow internet. The shower was fantastic. A little far from the Washington State Convention Center for what I needed. Very clean and nice staff. Not horrible, but I probably wouldn't stay there again.

My girlfriend and I stayed there in August of 2011 and had a horrible experience. Even if there wasn't an issue it was over priced at best. You pay for the location, but I would have rather stayed at the W for the amount of money they were charging. The room was small and cramped. The TV wasn't great and there was no refrigerator. The bed was fine. […] We noticed that the door didn't lock around 4pm and told management. They said they would look into it. We asked them around 10pm and they still hadn't gotten to it. We complained and after my girlfriend was in tears they agreed to move us to another room. I won't go into too much more detail but the staff was rude and very unaccommodating. Booked this hotel and had an excellent stay while in Seattle. The hotel is in a great location, awesome view of the Space Needle, close to everything and the hotel staff is extremly friendly. The room is very modern and well decorated. House keeping wasn't the greatest as they left a box of pizza in my room through out my stay but I guess they thought […] I was going to eat left over pizza that was days old....Other then that, I highly recommend this place. "Funky Decor - Convenient Location Hotel 5"
We were looking for a hotel close to the attractions downtown Seattle, and this popped up as a "Deal of the Day". At first, the funky decor looked a bit much, but when we got there we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the features in the room. "Great (but small) rooms!"
This hotel is GREAT. The staff were super nice and friendly, room was beautiful and clean, and the location is perfect. Being only two blocks from the ride free bus zone, you can take public transportation through downtown and to Pioneer Square really easily. Only 2 downsides- $15/day for parking (with in and out privileges) and the rooms are on the […] small side. Also- if you're a shy bathroom person, be aware that the modern style sliding bathroom doors don't close shut completely and are always open about an inch... Mehr

"great decor"
Liked the decor of the hotel. Very bright colors. Nice staff. Didn't eat at the restaurant. Walking distance to the main downtown area, the space needle and restaurants. No pool etc. Not all floors of the hotel were remodeled but the floor we stayed on was great! Would stay there again.

I very much enjoyed my stay at Hotel 5. I was close to downtown shopping and Pikes Place. My bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the price was reasonable. I would definitely stay at Hotel 5 again.

"Fun and contemporary in convenient location"
HotelFIVE has a great modern feel, love the fact that it has hardwood floors, Kurig coffee maker in room, very comfortable linens and furniture! All around cleanliness and atmosphere was great! I wish the hotel staff would have been a little more friendly, and welcoming, but you cant win them all. Wonderful location, and with just a few block walk you […] are in the heart of downtown Seattle.. Pikes market, space needle, aquarium, and lots of great dining places and shops.. the renovated rooms are clean and cute, however, this hotel is still being renovated. make sure you stay in a wing they are not working on. also, the walls are paper thin - you can hear everything in the rooms around you.

Our overall stay was fabulous! The room was clean and had great style. Location of the hotel was close enough to the shops and restaurants around town but not too close to where you would not be able to sleep. "Hotel Five - Good Location"
The location was very good. The staff was friendly. The walls are thin but when I complained to staff about our noisey neighbours, within 10 min. our neighbours were quiet and no further problems. Would stay here again.
"Enjoyable Weekend Visit"
Spent last weekend at this hotel (formerly the Ramada). They have remodeled this hotel extensively, and it is better in every way than the previous Ramada. $15/night valet parking on site was helpful ($15 is cheap for the area). Nightlife surrounds the place, even late at night felt safe in the neighborhood. The room design was a bit strange. Only 1 […] window, and it was in the corner of the room, around 2' wide by 4' high. Didn't allow much natural light in the room, used electric lights during the day. The television wasn't centrally located between our 2 queen beds, it was on the desk at the end of the room near the window. Not a big deal if you don't enjoy watching the TV as you doze off. It's not a fancy downtown hotel, and it doesn't carry the fancy downtown hotel rates. If you're looking for a clean room, fun part of town, decent area on a budget, Hotel 5 is tough to beat. Mehr

Stayed there 10/11-10/13/11 and loved it! First hotel that I stayed at which had hardwood floors. Loved the fact that it was clean, unlike carpeting. And oh so close to Top Pot Donut/Coffee Shop :)
"clean & nice staff"
i really liked my room. very clean and modern. the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. my only complaint was lightings--they use energy conserving light bulbs and the room was too dark. i shouldn't complain too much if it's for the environment, i guess... had to take cab to get to/come back from downtown. it was only $6, so not too bad.

I would come back here in a heart beat! Hotel FIVE was a perfect location, easily walkable to Pike Market and the downtown area but a couple blocks away from the heart of the tourist hustle and business traffic. The room was great, updated and wonderfully decorated, very retro. We traveled up from Sacramento, this place was by far our favorite. The […] shower was wonderful! The cafe downstairs was a bit greasy for breakfast but tasty. We had a room on the 5th floor, the monorail ran directly by our window. It wasn't too loud, ran every 10 mintues but stopped running around 11pm. That may be a bit annoying if you wanted to sleep earlier. Overall a good price for the two nights we stayed, wish we could have stayed longer! Mehr
