The location is a little dated for an Embassy, however this older style Embassy is much better than the new style. The breakfast and manager's reception were excellent. They need a bigger or clearer sign to help identify if from the highway. The service was also good. We needed a new remote for the TV and they brought it right up. The beds were also […] comfortable. We stayed at the Westin a week early and recommend the Embassy over the Westin. Mehr

We enjoyed our stay at the Embassy Suites. The room was clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was fairly good and copious. The pool was nice although the hot tub left something to be desired. It was not very clean and the switch had a faulty ground which caused a small shock on two occasions. The staff in the Ruth's Chris inside the hotel were very helpful. The room was nice and spacious.

We stayed at this Embassy Suites two years ago and were very satisfied. However, this time was VERY disappointing! When we pulled up, the first thing we saw were overflowing trashcans. We stayed two nights. The breakfast area was very dirty both mornings. There were no clean trays, forks, or coffee mugs. The food was very common. There were dirty dishes […] literally everywhere the second morning, even sitting in bins between the plants! I would definitely NOT stay here again. Mehr

This is a great hotel - free breakfast, free cocktails at happy hour and a Ruth's Chris attached. The rooms are big, the staff is friendly. My sheets weren't clean, however, twice when I came back to the room so I had to call to the desk and have them change them but for the most part this is a great hotel.

Overall, our stay was pleasurable for New Years Eve! Rooms are nice and spacious. In addition to they have a free manger's reception and breakfast that made this stay a definite plus. When in Birmingham again this Hotel is definitiely where I will stay again.

The continential breakfast was superb. Better than Golden Corral. IT HAD EVERY THING!! It was very impressive. Location well it was ok middle class area. The hotel was on a hill so people that are afraid of heights might not like this hotel. The hotel was quiet and strick rules that I loved. Breakfast area not very clean. Understaffed. Also under staffed during the evening drink/snack time. Looks like it is planned to make people not want to wait to be served long line for a beverage. Shouldn't offer if you can't deliver the goods. Takes a satisfied customer and puts a negative thought as they arrive and leave. When you rent a multiple […] bedroom room shouldn't then be charge a per person charge on top of rate, chances are you have more then two people if you need multiple bedroom room, you think???? Mehr

The embassy suite was amazing it was beautiful,the staff were great ,the room was perfect very cozzzzyyyyy.The hotel had a nice resturant on site,and great tasting made to order breakfast included wow what a great honeymoon.the stay was amazing I recommed this hotel to all.

Excellent hotel, spacious rooms, freindly staff. shuttle service much appreciated, breakfasts were perfect. good stay for a family.

The room needed a major updating. The cost of the room was not worth it. Now that Birmingham has a new Embassy, we will go to the new.

The service was great at this hotel. The staff were friendy and accomodating. The mattress on the pull out coach needed replaced or have a thick mattress pad to place on top.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The Hotel was conveniently located to the downtown area and some historical sites.

The location is great for the downtown Birmingham area. It is easy to find and assessible to all the hospitals in downtown. One problem we encountered were the number of guests staying in each room. The room beside us had 8 kids with the oldest being ten. The noise was loud. They should have placed them away from other guests.

The service was terrible, with the exception of Nitosha (breakfast supervisor). I have stayed at many Embassy's and have always had exceptional customer service. From the time we called to reserve reservations at the steakhouse Chris Rich until we left after our 3 day stay the service was terrible. Employees were rude at check-in, the food at Chris […] Rich was awful, steaks not cooked properly and then burnt we we received it back, shells in the crab cake. I will NEVER stay at this Embassy again and not so sure I will choose Embassy for any of my stays. Mehr

It is time for a renovation to that hotel. The seating in the lobby was substandard based on previous stays at other Embassy suites. I was also offended that you all allowed PETS. This was the recommended hotel for the convention I attended and was very close to the venue, however the open floor plan with all the rooms opening to the center of a common area and pool made for a very loud evening. We loved the Steak house on site and the complimentary happy hour in the atrium!

Every Embassy Suites I have visited has been awesome!! I love this chain of hotels. This particular one has a great pool, shuttle service and Ruth Chris restaurant in the lobby which was very very good! If you are visitiing Birmingham for business or pleasure, this is the place to stay because the Shuttle will take you within 5 miles and everything […] you need is within 5 miles...even the movies!!! Great room, very nice. Had one of the best breakfast meals on the road yet. Didn't like having to pay for Internet. Nice neighborhood. Very convenient to downtown.

One of our best experiences in hotel stays!! It was perfect for what we needed. The staff was very nice and helpful. The food was great! We were not familiar with Birmingham, and the hotel was difficult for us to locate. Once we were there, though, we were very pleased.

the Hot tub was more of a warm tub, think baby bath water.

Very nice. A little tricky getting in and out if you are not familiar with the area. Would stay here again.

Have stayed in numerous Embassy Suites. This one was a disappointment. The location is really hard to find.and easy to get lost. The room had toilet problems from the start. This has been seen by others. Is this a systemic problem in this hotel? I don't know but it is disappointing and unexpected as was the response for service. Ruth's Chris was great,of course. The pool was great for the kids to visit and play. Everything was great.

We will stay here again.

MANAGER'S RECEPTION WAS SPARSE (JUST TWO ITEMS) COMPARED TO THE EMBASSY SUITE IN CINCINNATI (FIVE ITEMS OR MORE. I FOUND A ROACH IN OUR BATHROOM. THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED TO US IN YEARS... THERE WAS A TRAY ON OUR FLOOR (5TH) THAT WAS OUT IN THE HALL AND IT WAS NOT PICKED UP FOR THREE DAYS. ONE ELEVATOR WAS BROKEN DOWN THE ENTIRE TIME OF OUT STAY (5 DAYS). […] OUR WINDOWS RATTLED AND THE DOOR NEXT TO US SQUEAKED TERRIBLY WHENEVER IT OPENED AND CLOSED AND SINCE THERE WERE CHILDREN NEXT DOOR IT OPENED AND CLOSED A LOT! FOR THE PRICE I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED. I EXPECTED MORE. Mehr
