Das Motel liegt ausserhalb des Ortes und ist nur per Auto erreichbar. Es hat in Old Saybrook, einem netten, etwas verschlafenen Ort, keine Taxis. Wir wurden aber vom Geschaeftsfuerer zum Bahnhof gebracht, weil das Taxi vom Nachberort ausgebucht war. Das Peronal ist zuvorkommend und der Service promt. Es hat Raucher- und Nichtraucherzimmer. Alles in […] allem sind die Raeume hellhoerig. Da hat man Glueck mit dem Nachbarn oder diesen fast schon im Zimmer. Das Preis-Leistungsverhaeltnis ist sehr gut. Mehr

The hotel price was great for 2 nights. However there were a lot of college kids there the first night above us and they were very noisy. The hotel reaked of smoke even in the non smoking area, and there were cigarette burns in the blanks on the bed which was gross. Its old...the free breaksfast was nice, perfect for kids. I got a very good price on the room. I was apprehensive because the reviews of this place were terrible, but price, location, and the fact that it was pet friendly made it my best option. The room was sufficient for my one night stay. i ripped the bed apart looking for bugs and found none. It was clean enough that I felt comfortable. It wasn't great […] but it was not nearly as dirty as others suggested. There was an extra fee for my dog which had not been previously clear to me that I would be charged extra. The continental breakfast was the worst I have ever seen so I skipped it. If this location works for you and you catch it on a good price, I might recommend it as suitable for your needs and not terrible. Mehr

We were pleasantly surprised by how nice and clean our room was! We will definitely stay there again when we go back to that area.

This is a great hotel if you are in Old Saybrook. Only two things that they could improve. There is nothing in the room telling you about their wireless network-so I was unable to access it. And there was no counter space in the bathroom of the room I was in, but this is really a minor detail. I have stayed here in the past and will stay there again […] on future visits to the area. Hotel & room in nice condition for what I wanted. I wanted a reasonably priced room simply to visit a local friend, I didn't want elaborate, expensive frills that were not necessary. Hotel close to some of the popular interest sites, so it worked out well.

I did not need much more than a place to sleep , bathe & change clothes. This place satisfied those needs. It was clean, well supplied with soap,towels & toilet tissue. I did not need more. I was there for a day to attend a wedding and did not need all the frills of a resort or spa and this filled the bill nicely and the rates were reasonable. There […] was a coffee pot and coffee provided in the room, ample for 2 cups (no sugar or milk) & also a small refrigerator for cold beverages and snacks and a microwave. Pastries and coffee were available in the main office area the next morning,but I was looking for a more substantial breakfast and there was plenty available within a short drive in either direction. I would stay here again if I needed to be in the area. Mehr

While the staff that I delt with were helpful and very friendly, that doesn't hold a candle to the condition of the hotel. On the first night we had a room w/ 2 doubles that was awful: Musty/damp smell that wouldn't go away (though the front desk attendant told one of the people we knew that they could give us a dehumidifier), cobwebs on lamp shade, […] TP holder that was broken off of wall in bathroom, bathtub had some mildew and looked like it wasn't cleaned, smudges on pillowcase. When we got back after our event later that night, I went to the front desk and Ed, who was great, moved us to one of the rooms that had 3 beds. I was a much better room... didn't feel as dirty, didn't smell as awful - I was somewhat satisfied with this room. The second night, I had a King room which at first glance seemed much better... until I got back late that night I discovered blood spots on the 3 of the pillows (yes I was investivaging where I would be sleeping). That room also had a slight smell after being in it for awhile. The next morning at 8am I was up and out of there... I didn't even want to take a shower there. The location is easy but I'd never stay here again. Definitely has a straight Motel feel. Mehr

The hotel is old and I suspect it has a mold problem. The room had a musty odor. The bathroom was dirty. The beds were unusually high and impossible to sit on while resting your feet on the floor. On the plus side, the staff was very cooperative and moved us to another room which was marginally better.

not the best place to stay, kind of old but affordable place to stay in if your not going to stay in room for along time. prolly wouldnt stay there again, also there was hardly any shampoo and nothing extra in room either!

The hotel was convenient and we did not have to book 2 nights (which is required by most area hotels). We were in town for a wedding and wanted a hotel that was close to the reception. This is definitely a no-frills hotel, but the room was clean.

The hotel is a nice one. The only minor complaint is about the bathroom. It's a little too small, and the light switches are outside the door. Would be nice if they were inside, and the room was a little bigger and had a shelf or table to put necessities on. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the area.

Other than the blood on the sheets and the front that couldn't understand english everything was great

Despite recent reviews, my stay at this hotel was very pleasant. The staff was extremely friendly and my room was very clean. The room was a little small and there wasn't much to do in the immediate area, but it was close to the beaches and main street Old Saybrook. I will stay there again...especially for the price.

This hotel was actually pretty good, especially for the price. The room was clean. The front desk clerk was super pleasant and way friendly at both check in and check out. We were in and out in a matter of minutes. If you're in the area and just need a place to stay, I definitely recommend.

It was exactly as it said "you pay for what you get" but it was a lot dirtier than expected. There was something brown smeared across one of the matresses and hair on the pillows..it was disgusting, I'll be spending a couple extra bucks to stay somewhere else. But on the upside there was a large flatscreen tv a minifridge and excellent wifi. Besides […] all that the service was so friendly it's was unbelievable! Mehr

Room was so stinky that we even wanted to cancel our stay in the motel and go somwhere else. Air conditioner is old and noisy. Stuff however was extremely friendly. But we would never stay there again.

I thought Days Inn was a good hotel and read some good reviews. We stayed in room 207 for a wedding in the area. Upon initial entrance into the hotel, our noses were stung with the smell of cat urine. It made our stomachs turn. The beds were hard, the toilet had a small leak and would run at random times throughout the night. Also, I would not walk […] on the carpets without something on my feet. Between the smell of the room and the nasty purple carpet, I just had a nasty feeling about the entire situation. Therefor I will never stay at a Days Inn again unless I read 100% from reviews. Mehr

Very nice people. The overall condition of the hotel needs attention but my room was clean and comfortable. For the price it was acceptable.
