Das Hotel hat die 4 Sterne voll verdient! Wir würden das Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen. Das Frühstück ist vergleichbar mit jedem 4 Sterne Hotel in Deutschland. Die Zimmer sind sehr modern und entsprechen auch absolut dem Standard eines 4 Sterne Hotels in Deutschland.

Für unseren einwöchigen Venedigbesuch suchten wir einen idealen Ausgangspunkt und haben ihn im Hotel Ai Pini gefunden. Auf dem kleinen parkähnlichen Grundstück (etwas kleiner, als die Fotos vermuten lassen) konnten wir unser Fahrzeug die ganze Woche sicher abstellen. Ca. 15 m vor der Hotelzufahrt befindet sich eine Bushaltestelle und mit der Linie 7 kann man ohne Umsteigen direkt zum Busbahnhof in Venedig fahren, wo sich auch die Vaporettostationen befinden. Die Busfahrt dauert ca. eine halbe Stunde - der Bus ist je nach Tageszeit relativ voll. Vom Busbahnhof in Venedig kann man in ein Vaporetto umsteigen oder nach Überquerung der nächsten Brücke direkt die Gassen von Venedig erkunden. Im Hotel konnten wir auch die Kombikarten Hellovenezia für Bus und Vaporetto erstehen. Diese kostete für sieben Tage fünfzig Euro pro Person und hatte sich bereits nach dem zweiten Tag gerechnet. Das Personal im Ai Pini ist absolut freundlich und sehr hilfbereit - angefangen beim Empfang bis zum sehr guten Restaurant (empfehlenswert). Es ist jedoch ratsam, die etwas größeren Zimmer möglichst mit Blick auf den Park zu wählen - darin kann man sich aber sehr wohl fühlen (auch wenn es keine Zimmer mit Balkon gibt). Alles in allem als Ausgangspunkt für Venedigbesuche sehr geeignet.

Unser Zimmer war sauber und gepflegt . Das Hotel wurde wohl erst frisch renoviert,. Die Einrichtung ist adrett gestaltet und gemütlich . Lediglich unser Zimmer war etwas klein ,für unseren Zweck aber vollkommen ok .Das Personal ist denk ich über jeden zweifel erhaben . Freundlich hilfsbereit und angenehm. Zur nächsten Buslinie sind es lediglich 3 min Fussmarsch . Tickets für Bus und Vaporetto können gleich an der Rezeption gelöst werden . Das erspart lange warterei an den Schaltern in Venedig bzw beim Busfahrer. Wir können es nur empfehlen
Lage
Hotel Londra Palace befindet sich mitten in Venedig. Folgende Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar: Chiesa di Santo Zaccaria, Markusdom und Seufzerbrücke. Zu den weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe gehören: Markusturm und Basilika San Giovanni e Laterano.

Die Bar: Gläserne Säulenbar mit sechs marmorgrünen Tischen und Lederstühlen. Der Hauscocktail "Laguna" wird mit frischem Kiwisaft gemixt. Ein "Bellini" dagegen wird aus frischen Pfirsichen hergestellt und ist nur im Sommer erhältlich. Das Angebot umfasst 45 Whiskey- und 20 Grappasorten. Auch alkoholfreie Getränke wie Kaffee, Tee, Kräutertee und fünf verschiedene Arten von heißer Schokolade sind erhältlich.
Der Lido, eine schmale Insel mit langen, schönen Stränden, bietet zahlreiche Freizeitmöglichkeiten. Auch ein Golfclub ist vorhanden.The Lido is a 10-minute boat ride from Piazza San Marco (St. Mark’s Square).

San Marco ist das eigentliche Touristen-Venedig. Der Piazza San Marco ist bekannt für die Tauben, den Markusturm, den Markusdom, den Dogenpalast und teure Cafés und darf bei einer Stadtbesichtigung nicht fehlen. Die schönen Aussichten auf das Wasser sind legendär, und nirgendwo sonst in Venedig warten so viele Gondeln wie hier auf Passagiere. Während der Saison ist der Piazza mit Tagesausflüglern dicht bevölkert, während nur ein bis zwei Ecken weiter die Straßen ruhiger sind und es noch mehr Museen und Paläste zu entdecken gibt.

"Lobby and Dining was nice. But, the room no."
We traveled 3 countries in three weeks and stayed at 7 hotels and this hotel was the most expensive and we used all 4 star hotels. This was the most uncomfortable hotel room & has serious deferred maintenance. The HVAC system did not work. The room was probably over 90 degrees on days that it was 70 degrees outside. We had to open the windows to sleep […] and we were attacked by mosquitos.We complained and there solutions was to come up an turn the system back on heat the room again and close the shutters so that we couldn't get any air in from outside. Oh, and the sheets were like sand paper. The lobby and the dining/restaurant/bar of the hotel was very nice. Mehr

Fantastic location in Venice. Easy walk to St Marks. Vaporetta stops right outside the door which made the whole city very accessible. Staff very helpful and pleasant.

My husband and I recently departed from a cruise and had the pleasure of staying two evenings in this wonderful hotel!! Not only was the location perfect but the staff was excellant!!! The staff greeted us with genuine hospitality, assisted us with our questions, arranged for us to visit Murano, dining reservations and so much more!!! The breakfast […] each morning was excellant especially the beautiful area which we ate outside gazing at the amazing sites! The room was sparkling, the bathroom extremely clean! The hotel was very nice. The room could have been a little bigger but had an excellent view of Isola San Giorgio Maggiore. Breakfast buffet was very good and the service very attentive.

"Londra Palace in Venice - Highly Recommended"
When visiting Venice you want to be in the old city where the action is happening. You also don't want to be in some obscure hotel which it takes you 3 hours to find trudging up and down stairs and bridges with your luggage. You've probably heard some of the Venetian horror stories of trying to navigate around tight little streets badly marked and numbered. […] You just don't need that. Londra Palace is on the Grand Canal, visible from the water. Suggest you do as we did and get a Water Taxi transfer from the airport. Google online and you'll find a few options - we used Viator and it was great. Airport to the front of the hotel in 15mins. Londra Palance is perfectly located a very short stroll to St Mark's square and becomes your base camp as you explore those easy to reach and very cool sights close by; then as you get more used to Venice and using water buses etc, you venture further out but its always so easy to navigate back to St Marks square and Londra Palace is right there. We stayed in a Deluxe Room with Lagoon view and it was fantastic. Large, spacious, beautifully decked out. I loved everything about the room. The bathroom was especially nice I always think that's an important factor. The staff were professional and curteous the whole time. Everything associated with the booking on Hotels.com went perfectly - booking was ready and waiting when we checked in. The manager at reception showed us up to the room and personally explained the amenities of the room and the hotel and workings of breakfast which was a nice touch. Breakfast was brilliant served in the room and patio on the front of the hotel looking towards the Grand Canal. The staff were all very pleasant, warm, welcoming, friendly and helpful. The front desk helped us with making some dinner reservations, pointing out a few must-see things including opening times and dates etc. and giving us a map. I would absolutely recommend Hotel Londra Palace to anyone - in fact I've already done just that to Mehr

After reading various reviews I was a bit concerned with how my experience at the Londra would play out. All I can say now that it's over, what is wrong with you negative reviewers. I felt that every employee did all they could to accommodate my wife and me. The hotel is old, but what in Venice isn't. The room we stayed in was small but very well maintained. […] I love that the room had sutters on the windows which blacked out the entire room. The bed and linen was excellent. The included continental breakfast and service was wonderful. All in all, unless your're expecting a 5 star hotel, Londra is a solid choice. Mehr
"Beautiful, great location & excellent service."
This is a beautiful hotel located in a great location, just a few short blocks from St. Marks Square and adjacent to the San Zaccaria Vaporetta stop. Located on the Riva Degli Schiavoni just behind the Victor Emmanuel Equestrian Statue, it provides views of the cathedral of San Zaccaria, the lagoon and San Giorgio Island. The room was not only elegant […] but clean and comfortable as well. The included brunch was outstanding as was the service at this elegant small boutique hotel in Venice. Just returned from Venice. We had a wonderful stay at the Londra Place. The location was great. The staff were all extemely helpful and friendly. The room was in perfect condition. While a bir expensive - it was one of the best hotels we ever stayed in.

The accommodations, food and most of all the staff are absolutely fabulous!!! Our room was posh with an amazing view overlooking the Grand Canal. Fabulous view, fabulous guest room, FABULOUS hotel.
"Londra Palace - Fantastic Out of Season Base"
I had not been to Venice since I was a back-packer and this experince could not have been more different! Londra Palace is located right by the dock where the motorboat taxis ferry tourists from the airport to the island - so access is amazingly easy. We went in December, so there were no crowds at all to compete with - I imagine this would be more […] of an issue in summer. Very nice staff, without exception. We were particularly charmed by the barman who stayed up especially to serve us and chat to us as we the only people in the bar that night. Position is absolutely great - St Marks round the corner, shops, restaurants all within a few minutes reach. Hotel itself is in good nick, rooms very comfy and the view from the rooms at the front are to die for. No English language TV, but that was not one our priorities for our holiday!! Would highly recommend this hotel - it fully lived up to its promise. Mehr
