Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis bei dem man keine Kompromisse eingehen musste. In Laufnähe zur Mall, Bars und Restaurants ebenfalls in der Nähe und die Zimmer sind geräumig und sehr sauber.

Sehr großzügige Zimmer Bestens gelegen Ruhige Atmosphäre in zentraler Lage Nicht weit zu netten Kneipen

Das Hotel hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Leichte Klassikmusik berieselte einen im Empfangsbereich. Die Rezeptionisten waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. In den Zimmer konnte ich keinen Staubkorn entdecken. Das Hotel macht einen konservativen Eindruck, womit man aber sehr gut klarkommen kann. Die Lage des Hotels ist ein wenig außerhalb der Hauptattraktionen, […] aber sehr schnell zu erreichen mit der U-Bahn. Die Station befindet sich ca. 10 Gehminuten vom Hotel entfernt. Insgesamt kann ich dieses Hotel nur weiterempfehlen, weil die Zimmer sauber waren, komfortabel, das Servicepersonal freundlich und man die Chance hat sehr schnell durch den U-Bahn-Anschluss zur National Mall zu gelangen. Sehr angenehmes Hotel in guter Lage, sehr positiver Service: Gratisinternet im Eingangsbereich! Liegt 5 Gehminuten von der U- Bahn Station Dupont Circle entfernt, also sehr verkehrsgünstig! Kleiner Nachteil: Sehr weiche Betten! In Summe sehr zu empfehlen!

Bathroom was fairly cramped and just had an old hotel feeling, would probably chose Marriot or Hilton next time, you know what you are getting ...

Have stayed there so often that most of the staff know us but this last time, we ran out of hot water so now a little uneasy the next time to see if we will have hot water.

They actually charge for internet, that is so "lame." I would understand this in the 20th century, not in 2011.

While the location of the hotel itself and the neighborhood was convenient for our one-night stay, the cleanliness of the room left something to be desired. Mystery crusty-white stains on the carpet (room 302, just inside the door near the nightstand), cracked bathroom tiles that pinched one's feet, and a thermostat that didn't quite take the chill […] out of the room. The staff was also a bit indifferent, not very helpful when asking about the neighborhood/directions et cetera. Valet parking for overnight was very expensive!!! It snowed overnight, so when it took the valet 30 minutes to get the car in the morning, we assumed it was because he had to clean it off a bit. It was a disaster! Snow and ice everywhere and the seats were soggy with it as though he knocked all the snow into the car! Oh-and by the way, they charge for wi-fi! Who does that anymore!? The room was spaceous and the price was right, so I suppose we got what we paid for. Really the most off-putting things were the stains on the floor and the price of parking, though I suppose it wouldn't be cheap anywhere nearby. I'd reccomend, but with a few caveats. Mehr

Great hotel, well priced, and a great location. Excellent!

This is a lovely hotel, conveniently located, but most of all, with a wonderful staff that really "gets it", when it comes to the word "hospitality". This was a special family trip to see the Army-Navy game, celebrate a birthday, and enjoy a special tour of the White House.

Me and a group of friends all got rooms at the Churchill to celebrate New Year's Eve recently and had a great time. It is a boutique hotel for only a marginal cost above what you would pay for a Hilton or Marriott. The location is within a brief walk of the DuPont Metro and the Adams Morgan night scene, making it very convenient. My only discrepancy […] was the fact that there were no trash cans in the hallways so if you filled your room trashcan there was nowhere else to put your mess. This ended up with pizza boxes and other trash sitting on the floor in the hallways near the elevator. I'm quite sure this wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't during a holiday such as New Year's Eve though. The location, service, and very fair price made this a great stay that I would recommend to anyone. Myself and my friends will gladly stay there again. Mehr

Room was beautiful and spacious highly recommend !

We had a lovely stay, the room was spacious and beautiful and the bed was VERY comfortable. I could have wished for a slightly larger bathtub but that was minor. Staff were all very helpful. We got a good rate online, probably wouldn't have stayed there at their regular rate

Good location , but an older hotel that feels old. Resteraunt was under construction and staff was too thin to handle all requests in a timely manner. Can be a good value at the right price.

At first entering hotel, you realize this is something "special". The ambiance (European feel of room). It has a warm and "cozy" feel/historical presence/great & convenient (walking location). Most importantly:- The hotel staff were superior in every way. They were warm, caring, intelligent, very helpful. "They couldn't do enough for us". We "highly" […] recommend this "historical" hotel for the reasons mentioned above. We plan to call it our "home away from home" next time! We rate this hotel A++ ! Mehr

Classy old hotel nicely upgraded. Some feat7res still need upgrading, but overall very nice. Great location near DuPont circle area. Staff nice and accomodating.

This is always a good choice in DC. Just up Connecticut Avenue from Dupont Circle, Lots of dining choices all around. Comfortable and spacious rooms.

I only spent two night in the beautiful built hotel and I enjoyed it. It was just a short walk to the metro and many places near by. The one part I disliked was that they had a restaurant but it was not open but did not let the guests know. Also, I was not able to get room service for the fact that the restaurant was not operating. They should place […] a note in the guest room books letting the guests know. Mehr

We stay at this attractive boutique hotel when we visit our kids in DC. The location is great, just above Dupont Circle, near the Metro and right on a bus line. It's a charming old building with gracious rooms and very helpful staff.

I really liked everything about it. The staff was friendly and efficient. The bed was very comfortable. I could walk to DuPont circle, where I wanted to be. When I booked the room I thought I would be closer to to the Circle but the walk was not bad!

Staff were very nice. I had a nice view looking out over Connecticut Avenue and a spacious room. The hotel does have a little bit of a worn feeling like it's past its golden age, but it is still very nice and clean.

The Churchill has seen better days. It's shabby and rundown now. It has few staff there; you can call the desk three times before anyone answers. The restaurant was being renovated and there was absolutely no food or drink to be had in the hotel. (Well, soda but that's sugar) I have stayed there many times and must say its slide is sad.

The Churchil is an unassuming hotel, a nice exterior structure, large rooms and decent decor. Between this hotel and any other compeeting brand Marriot, Hilton, I would say that the Churchil has a lot more character. Noted, its an old hotel, bathrooms are dated and dont expect too many modern comforts although you do get a flatscreen. Friendly staff […] make for a pleasant stay. This would be my second stay and it was also ok, so I recomend it. Note, its an uphill walk from Dupont, its a little far if you are not a walker, but ok for most. Mehr

Facilities and staff are great, we would definitely go back. The metro station is 5 blocks away from the hotel which wasn’t good in our case because of rain and we didn’t have a car.

I stayed for one night at the Churchill for a business meeting, and was very impressed considering the low rate I got!

The Churchill is a quaint, comfortable hotel in a great location on/near Dupont Circle. It is close to shopping and great restaurants (within walking distance). The rooms were well-appointed and stylish, albeit a bit smaller than those in newer hotels. The staff was friendly, yet formal, and very helpful. I would stay again.

Perfect and very reasonble. But...in need of a serious vacuum to remove previous occupants hair!!!

Price offered by Hotels.com was definitely a positive.... very good value for the price and location. Hotel itself was fine and the room, though large, was not well designed. Bathroom somewhat small but more of a problem for my wife than me. Only drawback is that the restaurant was not open for a sit down breakfast in the morning. The staff was accomodating […] though unclear on question of avaialbilty of breakfast. Mehr

excellent hotel!!! unless the location is not very convenient if you do not have a car. but the taxi fare in DC is not high, so try cab if you wanna go to georgetown area for shopping. for elsewhere, try metro

Good price, good location. If you like to walk to the mall, then this hotel fit your expectation.

The Churchill is very tired and at first I wondered what I had done, but the location saved it as did the room size. It needs a decent overhaul but you get what you pay for, I'd gotten a good rate when I booked. Not having room service available forced me to go out one night when I didn't feel like it which ended up being a good thing as my view was […] a brick wall. Good walk into the city but a bit remote if you want to be in the center of things. Great for access to Dupont and all the areas nearby. Mehr

The Churchill Hotel is old however we were surprised by the size of the room and the overall cleanliness. One drawback was lack of parking. The options were park on the street if you can find a space and risk being ticketed or park at another hotel a mile away which we did. The parking cost $32.00/night.

I would definitely recommend this hotel. It was beautiful, great service, and an excellent price. Also, a very convenient location. The only complaint I had is that the hotel parking was a little bit pricey, but there are several cheaper garages nearby.

The Churchill was a great old hotel, clean and comfortable, but $10/day for wireless is absurd.

Stayed there for New Year's and it was nice. Rooms were bigger then expected. Had a mini refrigerator too. You can tell the building is older, but the furnishing was up-to-date. Parking was the only let down for us, did not pay the 38 dollars for hotel parking, but lucked out with street parking close by.
