This is just a room, would stay here again if we needed to, but it is by no means worth $100 a night, more like $70 to $75.

The hotel is in a great location to go shopping or grab a bite to eat.. The rooms are a little outdated but clean. The toilet in the room we stayed at was not anchored down, the heat was off, which made for a chilly night time arrival. Bathrooms need a bit of a makeover along with the linens, but overall, great place to crash for a night.

We stayed here the other night, and I left happy. The beds were comfy. The rooms were clean. I wish it had been 2 queen beds in the room, because sharing the double bed with my five year was a tight squeeze. The staff was very friendly!! The breakfast was pretty good. Standard fruit, cereal, waffles, muffins, bagels etc. we enjoyed the indoor pool! […] And the location was great!! Right in down town dover! Which is a great little town! Overall great hotel! We stayed in the pool house area at the beginning of Nov. Althought we didn't have time to use the pool, it looked to be very well kept and inviting. Parking was convenient and free. The rooms were very clean. Breakfast included enough choices so that we could start our day off right. We did have a problem in that the air conditioner broke down. It […] would not shut off. Since the outside air temperature dropped down to the 40s, it was absolutely freezing in the room when we came back in the evening from our conference in Durham. The staff was excellent in their response! They came quickly and tried to correct it. When they could not, they moved us to another room. Knowing we were tired from our day, they In fact, let us keep the keycards to both rooms so that we did not have to worry about moving all our things from one room to another late in the evening. It's a given that things will go wrong in the hotel business. What matters is the response to it. We were very pleased with the staff's respone. Mehr

The location of the hotel was perfect for our family reunion. Lots of restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream shops close by. The only downside was our room was formerly a smoking room, prior to the hotel going totally smoke free. Our room had a slight smell of smoke and so did the clean towels.

I was very pleasantly surprised that our room was as comfortable as it was. The outside of the hotel is nothing to look at but was well maintained. The room was very clean, as well as the bathroom, and the bed (we had a king-size) was extremely comfortable. There were soaps, shampoo and a hair dryer and iron and ironing board available, as well as a […] safe, if needed. We walked up and down the street and wished we were staying longer to take advantage of the restaurants and cafes nearby. There is a Dunkin Donuts nearby as well. We were visiting for the UNH Family Weekend and were lucky that an opening came up at this hotel, which is about 10 minutes from Durham. Mehr

Beds were very comforable, noise level low, convenient to walking Dover Center (which is a lovely downtown). Pool area clean and breakfast choices reasonable

Conveniently located for our getaway. Right in the middle of a Durham, a lovely small New England town. Lots of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Very friendly staff.

The room was clean and the staff was great. The rooms are small. It is noisy in the evening because you can hear other guests. For the price, I would recommend Days Inn. Good location to walk around and go to dinner. Easy walk to the Childrens Museum for guests with children.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for many area beaches which all seemed less than a 1/2 hour away. The room and the beds were extremely comfortable, although the carpets do look tike they need a good cleaning, or perhaps it's time to have them replaced. I LOVE […] the pool and spa tub! The breakfast and the home-made waffles were delicious! I also like the young man that works at the breakfast bar as he is very thorough, and helpful! Mehr

The carpet area in front of and beside one of the beds was soaked-likely from a recent stain clean up(you could see ithe reddish stain the light of morning). This was unpleasant for my son who walked through it several times. I let the front desk know and the response was "thanks I will make a note of that"-she was eating her breakfast!

Great location. Walking distance to many good restaurants and night life. Also just a short drive to Portsmouth NH, Kittery ME and even Freeport ME. We have stayed here many times before and have always been pleased. Dover is a nice little town with some little shops and several good restaurants. Although the property is a little old and tired, the rates were great. The staff from the front desk clerks, to the maid were very accomadating. There are several coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance.

This is an older hotel in good shape. It was quiet, good parking. The pool and hot tub were clean and nice. The furnishings are nothing spectacular and the decor ok but not dirty or in disrepair. My family and I came into town pretty last minute and got this hotel for a pretty good price. I was very impressed by the staff who were really kind. The room was very clean and the pool and hot tub were great. It had snowed at the time and the parking lot wasn't the cleanist because of it which caused a major shortage of parking spots one night (some […] jerk had taken up two spots) The area was really nice but not much in walking distance so I was glad we had a car. Other than the fact that the room did not come with a microwave or a frig, the bed was cozy and the room was overall nice. They do not have more than 6 of the movie chanels and you can see all the other shows and movies in the Guide, but you can't watch them. I would have preferred only having the option to see the channels which I could watch. The […] bathroom toilet was not 100% clean which I wasn't that thrilled about and I was hoping that the staff would notice it without me saying anything. Top rim of the bowl and a few hairs. I was able to clean off the hairs with some toilet paper, but the toilet should have been clean before my arrival. Other than the tv and the bathroom the location is great. Your a few minutes from the freeway and you are down the street from Hannafords and the other restaurants. Also the coffee shop "Coffee on the Corner" is really good. The Days Inn in Dover was fine. The rooms were spacious, roomy, and clean. The bathroom was a bit small but most importantly it was clean. The price also includes breakfast that is enough to get you going in the morning. They served waffles, bagels, bread, boiled eggs, cereal, juices, and fruit. We got in late and left pretty early so I can't comment […] on the cable or internet since we didn't use either. The person who checked us in was friendly and offered great advice on the local area. Room was clean and roomy. No complaints there. Not an noisy area. Found ALL staff friendly, manager especially so, and helpful. Good breakfast provided, clean area. Good restaurant next door, very convient. Good location. Flowers on table in our room!

This is not a 4 star hotel but the staff tried hard, the room was clean, and I had no problems. I stayed there the night before the Pumpkinman triathlon in nearby South Berwick, Maine and it was everything I needed. I'll happily stay there again next year. Check in and Check out... simple, quick easy, wish more hotels were that fast! Room was a little out dated, but ok. Some small ants in the bathroom was a little strange & didn't really give me a warm fuzzy feeling though. It was your standard inexpensive hotel, not the worst and not the best, simply "ok". The room had a slightly "stale" smell to it […] that most inexpensive hotels have. Overall it appears that the housekeepers did their best to keep an aging hotel room as clean and fresh as was possible. Breakfast was not very good, the milk must have been "shelf stable boxed" milk (tasted horrible)... and the other food wasn't very good either, we ate somewhere else the second day. The pool and hot tub were nice, clean, & well maintained. No problems there. The weeknight stay at the hotel was nice and quiet, the weekend night stay at the hotel was fairly noisy (a lot more people were there that night) with traffic, and "people" noises most of the night. Location was convenient, but not sure if we'll stay again... hard to say. Mehr

We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel to spend one night, near the outlet shopping in nearby Kittery while on our way back to Ontario. We arrived after dark during heavy rain, and I'm not sure we would have found it if not for the GPS. Our room was quite dated, not the cleanest, and we could hear the TV from the reception area below us. But […] beds were comfortable and we slept fine. The continental breakfast was better than most, thanks to the waffle irons. The kids managed to burn off some steam in the indoor pool and hot tub. The night staff on duty when we arrived were a little rough around the edges, but the morning staff were extremely friendly and professional. We booked this place because we knew we were just staying one night, and didn't want to pay much. The location is great, and we actually could have walked to the wedding we attended at the Rivermill at Dover Landing. However, there was a lot of hair on the bathroom floor (that certainly wasn't ours) and the bathroom in general seemed to be not the cleanest. […] I don't mind outdated but dirty is just not cool. We were running late though so we didn't bothger to ask to switch rooms. If you're just looking for a cheap place to spend a night that is in a very safe area then I would say this might be a good place for you. Otherwise, continue on to the next place. Mehr

The price was good, however room could of been cleaner. A lot of dust on curtains, floors(carpet) was worn and towels were dingy and not white as it should and could be.
