Stayed at this hotel recently and was very happy. The room was great and the hotel staff more than efficient. At the end of the day you normally get what you pay for and whilst the hotel was not cheap it was not overly expensive. Can`t say anything bad about it - It was all good

The Langdon Huntington is a beautiful property with an impressive pedigree. It would be lovely to just stay right on the grounds, enjoying the spa, the pool, tennis and fine dining. But we couldn't resist the absolutely amazing Huntington Gardens, Art Gallery and library, just 5 minutes away, or the Norton-Simon museum in Pasadena. Often overshadowed […] by nearby Los Angeles, Pasadena is a worthwhile destination. Best of all, when I challenged hotel.com's rate guarantee, they informed me the price had gone down even lower than I thought, and they refunded the difference to my credit card. We were greeted by a slew of people eager to assist us upon check in. EVERYONE was amazing. The hotel is beautiful. The courtyard serene with water and baby ducklings! My 2 year old son LOVED it. Upon checking in were explained we might need to stay another night but would not know until the next day. The delightful receptionist said that would not […] be a problem that we could book through hotels.com or directly with them just to let them know in the morning. We did need to stay another night. We went by the front desk and a DIFFERENT woman was there who said we could not keep our room we would have to upgrade (quite a bit I might add) and move to a different location. She was not helpful in the least. We went back to our room, got our belongings and stayed the night @ the Sheraton. Funny how everything could be going so nicely and ONE PERSON could leave you with such a bad taste for the hotel. I would think twice before rebooking their again. Why were the coffee pots located outside, at the parking lots, near the valets? and only until 9am? No coffee in the room. Add $25 a day to the bill - it's necessary to have a car in Pasadena, and there's no where else to park it, so you'll be paying for valet service. The spa and gym are lovely.

Beautiful is how I would describe this hotel. The building, the garden, the decorations are all elegant and timeless. I had a very comfortable and relaxing stay and would definitely go back.

The Langham is located in a beautiful neighborhood of Pasadena, CA. It is close to the shops of Lake Avenue and Old Town Pasadena with many restaurants, Bodega Wine Bar, and excellent shops. This luxurious hotel is steeped in the tradition of old Pasadena, with beautiful grounds and a pictorial history portrayed on the bridge crossing over to the cottages. […] We were graciously greeted at the front desk and the young people valeting the car were always courteous and upbeat. Each night we returned to our room with the bed turned down, the lights low, and soft classical music playing on the radio. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a luxurious experience in one of the grand old hotels of Southern California. Mehr

We stayed at this hotel because we were attending a wedding in the area and the wedding party was staying at this hotel. When we arrived to our room, our remote control did not work in room. We called the front desk and they informed us that they were going to send someone to fix the problem. No one ever came to fix our problem. The hotel only has valet […] parking. When we came back from wedding in the early morning, the valet attendant was not there, we waited about 15-20minutes so they can park our car. Since no one was there, we had to park our own car. Our experience here made us not want to come back to this hotel. It is expensive and not worth it if they give you bad service. Mehr

Beautiful, well kept up facility. Completely empty of people. Dingy bar, No coffee pot in room; God help you to find the restaurant, staff, hours or menu. They seem to just open the restaurants at their convenience. Staff means well, but are totally inept. Big management problem of some kind. I believe they think they are catering to the upper, upper […] $$ demographic, but the cars seen arriving are Mustangs, Toyota's Chevy's. They 'forgot' to mention that Valet parking is required and is $25.00 per day (I think they want you to tip the attendant on every parking request too. Mehr

I love this hotel! I will come here anytime I am in the Los Angeles area, because it is so special and beautiful. The service is excellent and makes the price of the rooms worth it. The beds are very comfortable and the view from the back of the hotel was lovely. The Terrace restaurant is a great place for breakfast or lunch by the pool. The whole setting […] takes me back to an earlier era. I am sold on this hotel. Mehr

We had an excellent stay at Langham. A few minor suggestions. The cream ran out in the morning and were not replenished and hotel guests seem annoyed by that leaving all the coffee on the counter. Similarly, the empty cups at the poolside were not replenished as well. Besides these minor instances, we were very pleased with the decos, service. Beds […] were very comfortable; room were very clean and grounds beautifully maintained. The fitness center is wonderfully equipped with machines, fruits, cold and hot drinks and towels. This hotel has everything. Very luxurious and comfortable. I stay in Pasadena several nights each month and the Langham is far superior to any other local options. Highly recommend it for business or pleasure.

The Langham is the absolute perfect place to stay in LA. The property is beautiful, the service top notch, and the location is just far away from the mess of downtown.

We had a wonderful time at the Langham Huntington. The staff was attentive. The decor was outstanding. The gardens were delightful. This hotel is a gem and worth the price by far.

Only complaint is the valet parking. It took them three tries to get everything out of the car. I prefer to park the car myself, due to my allergies. If the attendant has a dog or cat at home, it can make me allergic to the car. I would pay the same price for non-valet parking privileges. That said, they did a great job without the usual delays.

Nice location and great staff: attentive and well maintained grounds. A retreat within the city, feels like you are in the country.

I am a little torn about writting this as I feel like this place is my secret getaway spot in LA. It is perfect if you have business in Downtown or in the Valley. Not so good if you have business on the westside due to cross town traffic. If you want the same feel in a hotel on the westside stay at the Beverly Hills Hotel. I like the Langham/Huntington […] so much I have tried to stay here and drive over to the westside and it is torture. However if you want to do Universal Studios with the family and work in some culture with the Huntington Library or the Norton Simon while you are in LA this place is perfect. I love the new restaurant and the bar/lounge that looks out on the horseshoe garden. My other favorite thing is to go walking around the neighborhood the hotel is located in rather than going to the gym. Tree lined streets with amazing domestic architecture. If you love the architecture of Greene and Greene and Wallace Neff you will enjoy this as much as I do. If you are looking for a hotel that is more like a nightclub or you want to run into the reality TV celebrity of the month this is NOT it. This is a place to go to chill out. Some reviews have said the hotel is stuffy. I actually like the old world flavor of the public rooms. Not every hotel has to be a stripped down tribute to modernism. That said some of the furniture in the guest rooms in my opinion could use some updating. Other than that I think this place is perfect. Mehr

We had the view of a parking lot. They said its because we had asked for early check in, however check in time is at 3pm and we had arrived at 2:55! He said we can upgrade for additional fee to a cottage. We asked for a quiet room, the first 2 hours there was vacuum cleaner running right outside of our room.at the time of the check out, it took them […] 1 hr to bring a blow dryer to the room, there was non in the room! Finally my husband went to my moms room and borrowed theirs. Check o ut was at 1pm and I called them at 12pm. The bellman who helped us in the beginning asked if we would like to know bit about the hotel, we said yes thinking there will historical facts, he said, on the right side there are bathrooms, on the end of the hallway is the meeting rooms, and went on and on about the location of random things. We were tired from our travel that was an unnecessary information. The bell man at the check out, took it upon himself to open the zip of my bag to out something in there granted I was about to that but I found that to be incredibly rude. We showed him all the bags that were going with him, but he took it upon himself to take all the things including my purse so my husband had to wake around behind Him making sure he doesn't take anything that we don't want. The Langham is a lovely hotel, with the advantages (and disadvantages) of having been built in a previous century. Very few Los Angeles-area hotels have the sprawling grounds and lush surroundings of the Langham. Some elements are a bit worn--the hallways sometimes show signs of age and are a bit musty, but the rooms themselves are very spacious, comfortable, […] and tasteful. The beds are very comfortable, and the on-premise dining is fantastic. If you are looking for hip, you are in the wrong neighborhood--try the Viceroy in Santa Monica. Nice clean quiet room. Bed was one of the most comfortable ever at a hotel. Grounds were beautiful and located in a quiet residential neighborhood of mansions. Excellent spa and workout room.

The Langham Pasadena, once the Hunington Hotel, Not over the top luxury, just posh comfort. Room was both clean and comfortable; the bath bathed in marble but not excessive or tacky. Hotel staff were all attentive and responsive. Valet crew helped with travel times and directions. Hotel food was well worth eating. Dinner was inventive, well presented, […] and very tasty. All in all, seemless stay. My only complain is the valet charge and the room internet charge which were add-on's. Valet service is mandatory, who doesn't need an internet connection these days. Include these in room fee and stop with the "death by a thousand dings". Mehr

Just absolutely beautiful.

During our 6 nights stay at the Langham Huntington in Pasadena, we were very satisfy with the garden view and interior atmosphere of the hotel. Meanwhile, we feel disappointed with room cleaning service. First day when we checked in, we found the duvet cover has two dirty spots that kinds like bloody marks which was disgusting. Under toilet seat was […] dirty. The shower light was warn out. And the shower fan never works during our stay. After taking shower, the whole room were full of vapor. We have to open all windows to breath. We called room service and they only changed the bulb but did not repair the fan. They never give us explain about what was going on. Mehr

This was our first vist/stay at The Langham. We lived in Pasadena for about a year and moved away so we wanted to stay in the same area during our visit. We had heard very good things about this hotel and now are very pleased with our experience. The valet service was over the top and the friendliness of the entire staff was comforting. The room was […] awesome and always clean! The grounds of the hotel are amazing! The picture bridge, gardens, and pool area are all so beautiful. WOW! We were in town for a game at the Rose Bowl and couldn't have been more pleased with the hotel. The bed was dreamy, the staff was very courteous without being the least bit snobby and the Tap Room bar was classy AND fun. For the price, you couldn't possibly do better.

For the price i paid it was well worth it. Its a great place to go, especially if your trip is of romantic significance. The Langham has beautiful gardens and paths. There was too much for me to see in one trip. Highly recommended! when youve finally somehow seen everything there, dont miss beautiful pasadena.

Great hotel in a quiet location with acres of grass and trees. I would stay again. One problem - I asked for a wakeup call @ 4:00 AM, since I had to check into the hospital - Never received the wakeup call.

We only had one night as a work stopover, but really wish we could have had an extended stay as the grounds invite relaxation and the feeling you are worlds away.

We keep coming back again and again. - neighbourhood: quiet, well-to-do, off the rush of LA - free shuttle service to Pasadena - large pool - extensice spa facilities - service + hospitality: outstanding - recommendation: stay in CLUB level - best value for money as they serve food, beverages and alcoholic drinks from morning till 9 p.m. - recomment […] 7th floor as these have small balconies - we stayed in room 722 which is almost double the size of regular room, but closest to elevators which you can hear Mehr

A nice hotel in a great location, but not a five star. Perhaps the main building is nicer, but in the adjacent building where we stayed, one could hear people walking around upstairs and toilets flushing all night (think Motel 6). And the room service cart that stayed in the hall most of the day didn't do much to augment the ambience.

We arrived at the hotel after 17 hours of travelling and the reception and check in were first class. From the valet parking to being settled in the room took no more than 10 minutes. Dinner was a real pleasure as was the breakfast next morning. The hotel was an oasis of calm and tranquility and all services used were friendly and efficient. On leaving […] a problem was found with our rental car and the staff took the problem as theirs and made all the necessary phone calls and came up with the solution. The bell hops and concierge went more than the extra mile to ensure our inconvenience was minimal. We are returning for our last night in the US before flying back to Europe and I am sure we will return again. Mehr
