The location of this hotel is great! It's just a short walk across the street to get to Disneyland. A few complaints though.....the maid left our door unfastened one day. When we got back at midnight, we just pushed on the door & it opened. Also, the are stingy with their soaps. They didnt even replace the one in the shower....so 7 of us had to share […] one little soap for everything. They did keep our luggage on the day we left so we could go to Downtown Disney. Mehr

The bathroom floor was dirty. Found corn kernels on the floor. The bathtub had black spots on it. I could feel the springs on the bed. The hotel was across the street from Disneyland which was very convenient. The hotel was very nice and we were able to get in our room before 3p.m.

The hotel could do a better job at keeping it clean. It also needs to join this century and get rid of the nasty blankets! I am sure they don't change any of these between customers. There is crime/dust accumulated in the corners of the bathroom floor. I'm a bit of a germ-a-phob, so unless it's spotless, it grosses me out. My room was on the 2nd floor […] which meant we had to carry the strollers up and down and one night the mgr came out to help me. That night was late and our key didn't work but he ran and fixed it. I didn't have any parking issues but it wasn't that busy so my car just stayed in the same spot. The closeness to DL was its major plus!!!! It is a few min walk. Mehr

GREAT location ... Very close to the entrance for Disneyland and California Adventure. Access is from Harbour Rd, but recessed from the road, it's actually behind a Denny's, so it was also quiet! We were able to easily walk to Disneyland and then head back to the room near mid-day to let the grand kids take their nap. Then we headed back to the park […] for more fun! I was initially put off when I opened the door to my room by the strong industrial disinfectant odor. It made me wonder what they had to hide. However, upon opening the window and airing it out for a few hours everything was fine. They didn't appear to spray again while we stayed so the odor diminished over the four days we stayed. This is no four star […] hotel (or maybe even three star motel) but it was a comfortable bed, clean enough and quiet. The breakfast is pretty slim but the walk to Disneyland can't be beat. We came back every afternoon for a rest with the kiddos and even tried out the pool and hot tub which were clean and relaxing. My first impression of "uh oh, what did I book, turned into a good experience and I would return." Although walking behind the Denny's can look a bit suspect, I think it keeps this hotel amazingly quiet for its location. I really didn't hear a thing after everyone returned from Disneyland after the fireworks. Everyone in the front office was pleasant and helpful. I've stayed at multiple motels in the area and for location, comfort , convenience and price this one falls right in line. Never having to take shuttle or bus back and forth to the park is a real benefit. Mehr

The only thing I wasn't pleased with was the $8 per day parking charge I had to pay at the end of my stay!

Checked in Friday, checked out Saturday. Hotel is very close to Disneyland entrance. Not enough parking for hotel, so they provide valet to stack cars on top of each other. ;) Very nice staff.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Del Sol, the rooms are nicer than you might think from the outside. The location is a 7 minute walk to the main entrance of Disneyland and California Adventure.The fridge and microwave were a nice touch. The beds were comfortable and the room seemed quite clean. We were put off by three long black hairs on the bathroom wall […] and were not offered a discount at checkout. The valet parking seemed strange and unnecessary, and there is an extra charge for parking. There is a Denny's restaurant directly in front of the motel which is convenient but we did not eat there. It was a bit noisy in the morning with excited kids running past the room but what can you expect beside Disneyland? There is a continental breakfast offered, but only until 9 am so we missed it. The location is the best thing about this motel. Mehr

Not a bad place, great location.

We have stayed at this hotel the last 2 times we have visited Disneyland.. It is so convient being right across the street from Disneyland and the rooms aren't horrible..

Very average hotel, with poor continental breakfast included. Across the street from Disneyland, a three minute walk, its best feature. Overall good value, but quoted rates do not include a separate parking fee.

parking space was tight and not very happy about paying $8.00 per day for parking. Feel as much as we pay for the hotel room per night parking should be free to their guests. Other then that was a really decent hotel and very clean.

we where not happy to heard that they are charging a parking fee when we stay there before and never paid for parking fee, also the bathroom in the room that we stay was very small ,the checking in was at 3pm and when we made reservation with hotels.com it said the checking in was at 2pm and they say that the website was wrong and they never got it […] clear. so before you make a reservation with hotels.com read all the pages. For the convenience of location, this hotel is great. It's not an upscale resort - pretty basic accommodations, but service is good and you can't beat the location right next to the crosswalk to Disneyland. You should be aware that the rooms actually are several hundred yards back off the street, which is nice, as it makes it a bit more quiet. Dennys […] is right in front of the hotel, and several other eateries are within easy walking distance. We stayed in the "family room" that includes two queens as well as a set of bunk beds. There was still plenty of walking space around the beds, and we slept three adults and three teenage girls pretty comfortably. Although this is an older property, it's fairly well maintained, and our beds were very comfortably firm. Would highly recommend for a family with kids or teens - there's also a small outdoor pool and hot tub, which we didn't use since we'd forgotten our suits. Would definitely stay again. Mehr

Initially we took the 1 st floor and was a horrible night due to sounds from top floor as well as from out side. Requested for moving to 2nd fllor for the rest of the days and had nice time, no sounds. Sound sleep.

Stayed there before with free parking now there is a parking charge. Parking is very limited and they have a valet that will park your car for a fee if there is no parking The valet cones off about 6 stalls so they can charge you extra for that service. For the price of the room plus the parking, you can get a better deal somewhere else on that street […] where the parking is free and offers more ammenties Mehr

I was more than a little annoyed when I arrived at the hotel and was informed there was an $8 per day parking fee, even if you are staying at the hotel!!! For having to pay about twice what I would for an equivalent hotel a block away, then getting gouged another $18.72 ($8 a day + taxes & resort fee) I am thoroughly unimpressed. However I will admit […] that if you are willing to completely waste money in place of convienece, then by all means stay here because it is a 2 minute walk to the park entrance... Then again Maybe I'm just cheap and would rather walk, and spend my IN the park, than on a bed just like any other I could have slept in. Mehr

Only thing not excellent was the "comfort" of the room. Small and typical Motel 6-type room, but who needs a comfortable room when you are at Disneyland all day? Kids appreciated the pool and jacuzzi for a break from the park during the day. Also beware that the cost of hotel parking is in addition to room. Prices are not consistent; we paid one price […] the first night, then prices dropped to half the day we were leaving. If your travel plans are flexible, call motel directly to see prices for multiple days/weeks to get best value. Mehr

First the good. Location is great, right across from the main Disneyland driveway (but there are several I can say that about). The room was a decent size. They gave a coupon for Rainforest Cafe for a free kids meal and priority seating. The bad. There is no elevator. We had a room on the second floor and had to stop by the car every night to drop […] off the stroller and unload stuff and then carry sleeping kids up the stairs. Strike 1 We came back to the room about 2 in the afternoon one day and the room still wasn't made up. That wasn't a problem but what WAS a problem was that I put up the do not disturb sign for nap time for my 2 and 5 year old and the maid still knocked on the door. Twice. The first time I ignored it but when she knocked again 2 minutes later, I answered the door and pointed to the sign and she apologized but said they don't pay attention to it. ??!!?? Strike 2 And finally, on check out day, we asked if we could leave the car just slightly longer. Posted 11 check out and we asked if we could leave the car until 2 at the latest. They said absolutely no later than 12. And we're not talking peak season. We checked out on a Tuesday in late September. When we left, we double checked the parking ticket and it actually said we must vacate by 2 but they told us they'd start towing at 12. Strike 3. There are a number of hotels with the great location on S Harbour near the Disneyland main entrance and most are similarly priced. I will go to one of the others next time. Mehr

To whom it may concern, When I plan my travel to Anaheim California, The only hotel I will ever stay in is the Del Sol. They have always been very helpful with any questions. I have told several people about this hotel and now this is the only hotel they will stay at. Thank you Del Sol!!!!! Karen

Very close to Disneyland, Denny's is just steps away for decent dining. Room is ok for this price range of hotel.

I stayed at the Del Sol for the first time and I was very happy with my stay. The room was big, a/c worked well, and beds were comfortable. Housekeeping was terrific! Did a great job keeping room clean and well stocked with towels, cups, etc. Location was excellent, barely had to walk to get to Disneyland entrance. Would definitely stay again!

We had no major problems with the hotel. It is very close to Disneyland parks. Room was cleaned up everyday but never vacuumed in the 6 days we stayed. Parking was a problem sometimes. Breakfast needs more selection.

I stayed here two years ago and was really impressed with the service. This time, I was really turned off. Upon check-in, the lady at the counter was grumpy, which was unexpected. Then, we arrived at the breakfast room the next morning just after 7, it was still locked but the lights were on. Just then, we see the same lady walk in and serve herself […] coffee and breakfast but walked right by us. I figured she would put her coffee down and then let us in, but she never did. Finally, I went into the office and asked if anyone would let us in, and she told me "the lady was running late, and would be there soon" Everything was set up, and it was past opening, but we went outside and waited anyway. A minute later she let us in, but I was really put off by how rude she was about everything. Seriously, who does that? Mehr

The hotel was close to Disneyland and a short walk away. Lots of food choices nearby. Sink and bathtub were slow draining and not very clean. Cars were packed in and had to be moved when you wanted to leave.

The hotel was a perfect walk to Disneyland, but when I saw huge roaches in our room the first night I was terrified to stay there anymore. I was booked for three days and only stayed one. Sorry but bugs are one thing I wont handle for a short walk to the park.

This is a typical 2* hotel, but our room was huge, had a fridge & microwave, a small but nice looking pool, valet parking for around $9/day and was right across the street from Disneyland/California Adventures. We had a bit of a mix-up with our reservation that was not very gracefully handled and left my daughter and friend locked out of our room, […] napping on their reception area vinyl couches, for about an hour (without much of an apology), but I chalk that up to the person on desk duty. All others I encountered were polite, helpful and accommodating. Mehr

We were extremely satisfied with our stay at Del Sol Inn. Our room was spacious and clean, and the grounds and pool area were well kept. The location of this hotel is awesome - right across the street from both parks. It literally took us 5 minutes from our room door to the park entrances. Situated behind a Denny's, there are many other convenient food […] options including IHOP, Captain Kidd's, Tony Roma's and even McDonalds, which alone saved us a bundle by not having to eat in the parks everyday. The pool and hot tub were basic and nothing fancy, but they were clean and we enjoyed them thoroughly. Parking is limited, but the valets do a great job fitting everyone in, and whenever we needed our car there was minimal wait time. As for the parking fee - well worth the price, considering valets took care of parking and retrieving, not to mention there was always one on duty to keep an eye on the cars. We will definitely stay here again the next time we plan a Disney trip! Mehr

A clean, safe place at a reasonable price were we were really close to Disneyland. Parking is a bit of a pain and you have to pay, but we never used our care during the whole stay because we could walk to whatever we needed. If you need something close, a fair price and a clean room with a fridge and microwave, this is it.

The location is PERFECT for Disneyland. It is right behind the Denny's that is DIRECTLY across the street from the main entrance. It is easily within walking distance and I was making the walk with a 2 and 6 year old. Their "continental breakfast" kinda sucks, but the Denny's $2, $4, $6 Menu more than makes up for it. Able to feed a family of 4 for […] $20 and then go straight to the park! Will never stay at a nother hotel! Even had a travel crib for our 2 year old...COMPLETELY Satisfied!! Mehr

Parking is a reall problem but is handled as best as is possible given the lack of space. The valet/self parking employees were more helpful about surrounding area than the front desk personnel. These are adequate accomodations.

Most of the Harbor Boulevard hotels have come to a certain accommodation level somewhere between an Econolodge and a Holiday Inn Express, so there's not a lot to say about the style of the property except what distinguishes it from its sister hotels up and down the street. Google maps is a great way to see exactly how convenient a hotel is to the Disneyland […] Resort. You basically have two ways to get in - one from the west and one from the east. On the west side is the Disneyland family of hotels and Downtown Disney, so staying on that side you have to go through all that to get to the parks. On the east side, the pedestrian entrance is directly across from the IHOP at 1560 S Harbor Blvd, and when I say directly, you cross the street and you are walking into the front door of the IHOP. The absolute CLOSEST hotel is the Best Western Park Place, followed by the Desert Inn, then you have a tie with the Tropicana Inn and the Del Sol. It's actually closer to the park entrance from any of these hotels than staying at the Disneyland Hotel! I was at first skittish about the hotel for some of the reasons cited in other reviews. It's not a chain, the reviews are varied, and it just looks like it's in a weird place, set back from Harbor Boulevard behind Denny's. The good news is that my fears were unfounded. We had a quiet room with a well-maintained, satisfyingly consistently rumbling air conditioner. Microwave and Fridge in room, tube TV with good Dish network channel reception (SD, and oddly the locals were fuzzy.) Front desk was responsive. Bed was firm and comfortable. Iron and ironing board worked. Safe worked. Didn't use the in-room coffeemaker because we were right next to the breakfast room. Breakfast begins at 7, and is very limited, but serviceable. The big, big issue with the hotel is that they do not have enough parking. Which is *fine* if you plan ahead, and especially if you're spending your whole time at Disney. When they fill up, they start valeting cars. Mehr

The hotel ws directly across from Disneyland about a 5 to 10 min walk to the main gate! And the hotel staff were very friendly and accomadating and the maids were very efficient in cleaning up after our teenagers!

Del Sol was in a great location, right across street from Disneyland. Room was good size and clean other than a misty smell. The down falls were, there is an $8 a night parking charge, your car has to be valet parked and they move your car constantly, cause there is hardly any parking. The room was misty, need some baking soda on the carpet, probably […] from people coming from the pool wet. Mehr

wonderful stay, first time at Disneyland and it is very easy to get to the parks and restaurants, we did not have to move our car at all. continental breakfast is o.k. but there is a Dennys and Ihop very close.

Our room (2 queens) was spacious and clean. My only concern is there is very limited parking. I encourage you to stay there...just keep the parking attendant aware of your plans if you are leaving early in the AM as they start moving cars into the parking lot for those that are leaving, and you do not want to get blocked in.

The Del Sol Inn was a great location if you are planning on takingyour family to Disneland. I have read the reviews and did not know what to expect. We could hear the next room sometimes when they would sing or laugh. The room was a little hard to find since it was behind the Denny's. But overall the room was what we wanted. Close to the park with a […] microwave and fridge. It was close to all the restaurants on Harbor street. I would stay again. Mehr

This is a fine hotel for families. PROS: Our rooms were big, quiet, and clean. The beds and pillows are really comfortable. The hotel is only a walking-distance to Disneyland and close to restaurants (especially buffets)! CONS: Breakfast is not quite good or appealing. They do not provide artificial sweeteners, like Splenda, Sweet and Low, etc. […] Their decaf coffee tasted horribly sour. There are no waffles, boiled eggs, and milk. Mehr

First time I came to this hotel was in 2007. Came back in 2011 and it seems a bit remodeled. I loved it and would stay again. Its walking distance to Disneyland Resort and Garden Walk.
