Santorini ist teuer, so auch das Hotel im Vergleich mit 5Stern Hotels in Mitteleuropa. Das Hotel bietet vom Ausbau / von der Ausstattung her meines Erachtens keinen 5Stern Komfort. Unser Apparement war schön, jedoch eher spartanisch eingerichtet. Die Lage und die Freundlichkeit des Personals macht den Aufenthalt zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis!

Wir haben tolle Tage in einem sehr individuellen und geschackvollen Hotel verbracht.Hat wirklich alles gestimmt. Aussicht einfach ein Traum.Einmal im Leben muß man dort geohnt haben. Wir hoffen sehr, dass wir nochmal hinfahren.

Das Hotel Anemomilos Suites in Thira, liegt ca. 5 Gehminuten vom Zentrum entfernt. Waren vorher auf Naxos um dann später eben nach Santorini mit der Fähre zu fahren und die letzten 2 Tage zu relaxen. Am Hafen sahen wir einen älteren Herrn mit dem Hotelschild: Anemomilos Suites, den fragte ich dann, ober uns mitnehmen könne, da wir keinen Transfer zum Hotel hatten. Er meinte klar, kein Thema. Es stellte sich heraus, das es Stavros war, der Besitzer des Hotels ;-) Stavros ein sehr uriger Typ, lustig und überaus freundlich. Am Hotel bekamen wir sofort einen Rotwein, den er selbst gemacht hatte, lecker. Desweiteren gab er uns einige Tips, für den Aufenthalt. Dann wurde uns das Zimmer gezeigt und der Dachpool. Frühstück muss man extra ordern. Am nächsten Morgen, sah ich vom Balkon aus, eine Angestellte und fragte, wie es aussieht mit Frühstück, 15min später klopfte es an der Tür und die nette Dame brachte uns ein riesen Tablett mit allem was dazu gehört, aufs Zimmer, genial. Wir waren rundum zufrieden, Gesamtpaket Top & der Preis unschlagbar. Vielen Dank an Stavros und Familie.

Thira, die Hauptstadt von Santorin, besteht aus einer atemberaubenden Ansammlung weißer Häuser, die in den Felshang 300 Meter über der Caldera gebaut wurden, welche durch einen Vulkanausbruch vor 3.600 Jahren entstanden ist. Besonders im Monat August zwängen sich unzählige Touristen vorbei an Juweliergeschäften, schicken Boutiquen, pseudo-traditionellen Tavernen und Cafés durch die engen Gassen. In Thira befinden sich auch die angesagtesten Nachtclubs von Santorin. Wer besonders sportlich ist, kann im Zickzack die 580 Stufen zum Hafen hinunterlaufen. Für die weniger sportlichen Urlauber stehen Esel oder eine Seilbahn zur Verfügung.

wir wollten unsere hochzeitsgäste dort unterbringen....nachdem wir haare...blutflecken auf der decke...morschen kühlschrank etc vorgefunden haben,mussten wir leider umdisponieren.eine schöne aussicht alleine genügt nicht um tolle tage zu verbringen!

The hotel is physically gorgeous and the views are magnificent. Service is exceptional and personal. We were here for only a short stay but Mill Houses was truly exceptional. We would stay here again in a minute!

I cannot say enough good things about the service at this hotel. The staff are wonderful, the view was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this hotel. There are a lot of steps but well worth it for the view.

hotel is located on many levels on the caldera (cliff). my room required a descent of 103 stairs, and a climb of the same number. BUT , if you are willing to bear this inconvenience, you will have available from you front porch some of the most beautiful sunsets anywhere. personnel are most accommodating. pick-up from the airport is included, as is […] a glass of greek champagne with a plate of strawberries upon arrival (or any time up to departure). if you don't mind the climb, this is the place for you. reasonably close to most major sights and the bus station where you can hook up with anything on the island. My husband and I were welcomed at the airport by Nenad and whisked away to the hotel. From the moment we met him at the airport to the moment he dropped us off he provided us with top notch service and made our stay unforgetable. Wow, what can we say?! We were treated to the best accommodation and service at Mill Houses. From the airport pickup to the extra touches such as a bottle of wine and Greek sweets for Christmas, we were treated like royalty. "Mill-Houses - A fantastic Place"
We had a wonderful time staying at the Mill Houses during our honeymoon in April 2011. Everything from the first point of contact to our leaving of the hotel on the last day was excellent. Everyone was friendly and made us feel at home. Nenad was fantastic. He was very efficient, friendly and always available. Thank you, Nenad, You made our stay memorable. […] Manolis and the rest of the staff at the hotel were great too. The room was nice and the amenities provided were adequate and good. We were also given a fruit basket without us asking for one while checking in. This was great considering that we had yet to have our lunch then. Breakfast was delivered promply every morning and was sumptuous. Will definitely spread the word around among friends and relatives who intend to visit Santorini. Thanks everyone. Loved the location - great caldera views and a short walk to Fira. Good restaurants nearby. Loved the service. Wonderful breakfast. Helped with transportation to and from airport. Thankful for service with luggage. Also liked the available wifi. Hot water in shower lasted only about 5 minutes.

The hotel is located in Firostefani area which is the nearest to downtown Fira. Very well-maintained, charming interior. Excellent service and breakfast. On a sunny day, you can have breakfast on a pool terrace while enjoying the view of caldera. Overall a nice experience. Staffer Sean was extremely friendly and helpful. Beautiful view, nice breakfast. Good location. Airport pickup was a bonus. The only complaint would be the musty smell and mold on the bathroom walls. I would recommend asking for a room away from the pool (especially in busier months) and not cave like as I think that contributed […] to the mold. Great location on a cliff side in Firostafani. a short walk to Thira.Each room with a balcony and great view of the Caldera. The rooms are neat , clean and comfortable with a small kitchenette where you can make your morning coffee or tea or even a sandwich.The breakfast was more than ample and served in your room if you ask for it. We preferred eating […] in the cafe as it was directly above our room. For the elderly, the many steps down to the reception and many more down to the rooms may pose a problem. Our stay at Hill Houses in Santorini was absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed every second of it. From the drive in to the view every morning and evening to our beautiful cave room and cave bathroom. It was so unique and special. The staff are all so friendly and personable they really make you feel at home and very special. They go out of their way to […] make your stay a wonderful one. The breakfasts were fantastic, very filling and the view just takes your breath away; as you sit on the edge of the caldera eating breakfast and enjoying the spectacular view, you really are in paradise. The walk from the street level down to the hotel is a bit of a trek but I just kept thinking I'm working off that big breakfast and working on my gluts!! You do need some energy to walk down and back each way, but we were in no hurry, we're on holidays after all. The hotel is beautifully situated and so stunningly decorated, especially at night with all the lights and candles. You feel like your truly in paradise. It's so fantastic we would stay again and recommend Mill Houses to our friends and family. You won't be disappointed, everyone needs a little slice of paradise! Mehr
