Ramada Limited Monterey Carmel - Monterey

Hotel ist in einem mittelmäßigen Zustand, auch die Zimmer wirken abgewohnt . Empfang eher unfreundlich und desinteressiert. Frühstück wird in Miniecke eingenommen, Angebot mäßig. Ringsherum gibt es jede Menge Motels, die einen weitaus besseren Eindruck machen.

Terrible room, noisy, and not the best location. Also, after running the BigSur Marathon the hotel would not allow me to check out at 12:30p so I could take a shower... terrible service.

We choose to stay at the Ramada because it was near everything. It was just a short drive to wharf and Carmel. The hotel room was clean and the service was very knowledgeable and sincere. The hotel amenities were basic but they did the job.

The hotel was in need of up dating. The bedspread & blanket both had holes in it. the bathroom screen was ripped. the carpet need a good shampooing. The cont. breakfast was a laugh very little there. They cut the muffins in to quarters. I went 30 min after opening and coffee was gone must have on ly put out a small amount.

the place wasnt bad a placs to lay your head room was warm small ok i had a problem with the amount i paid for my room apposed to my son who stayed in room right next to me and he had a fridge and microwave i didnt i paid more them him and i reserved my room 4 days in advance

We had a 2nd floor room and could hear the people below us talking. Door frames were not dusted. Otherwise room was comfortable. Staff allowed us to stay additional 1/2 hour to check out after our son's graduation at DLI.

If you're traveling on a budget or just don't want splurge $250 on a night at some B&B when in Big Sur / Monterey / Carmel, this place is perfect. We had a room with two doublebeds that could have fit 4 people. The owners were very nice and let us check in early and drop off our stuff. They also didn't charge us the usual $5 (which is totally reasonable) […] for the 3rd person in our room. The beds and showers were clean and comfy and it wasn't loud, though we were pretty close to a main street. The room even included a small fridge and microwave and coffee maker. The only issue was the heating system, which blasts hot air to warm up the room quickly (much needed in the chilly evening), but the lower settings didn't decrease the blasting much, so we ended up just turning off the heat during the night. Location was easy to find, with convenient parking (included) right up front and just a 5-10 min drive to Fisherman's Wharf / Cannery Row / Aquarium. Mehr

Friendly staff but bad maintained hotel.

This hotel does not have Queen size beds, so if you get a double bed room, you have to contend with full size. They do have King size per front desk, but no queen beds. Place is really showing its age. The showers look like they where home repaired. The coffee machine, water resevoire was filty, I am not sure what was in there, but I went for coffee […] instead. Hotel was ok. Fireplace only had 1 fire log and was gone within 2 hours of lighting. Heater shut off randomly when being used. But it was fairly clean and the location was great in reference to the bay, Cannery Row and Downtown Monterey.

The hotel was in a very good location. My boyfriend my 16 month son and I stayed for just one night(new years night) it was. I thought the hotel would be more fancy but it did ok for just our one night stay there. The bed was a king size bed big enough for the 3 of us, very very comfortable.

close to shopping, close to diving and great price.

Niced and clean... except my husband forgot his cell phone charger and slippers... We didt want 2 drive back...

wouldnt stay in this hotel again.

Skip breakfast. Not worth it.

I found most things okay. But, bedspread had stains on it. Towels had so much bleach on them they made the bathroom smell of bleach (which they probably used there as well) for the whole stay, did not have cleaning service because of this. TV did not work and had to have staff come up and fix it. They were very pleasant. But really, these things should […] be checked. Mehr

My stay at the Ramada Monterey was perfect. The location was ideal - to everything i needed,... It was all was right there, soccer field, resturants, mall, movies. It's perfect for a 1-2 night stay. Ideal price if you don't have to have all the bells and whistles at a hotel. I would definately stay here again :)

Good value motel.Nice Beds clean rooms. The only disapointment was the pool was closed they said because the pump broke - closed the second day too, and they didn't offer a discount.

The room we got was excellent and had all the ameneties one needs. From outside the hotel looks a bit poor. You need a car to get to the interesting points of Montere and I doubt that you can get there by foot in 20 minutes as the hotel claims unless you run. on the whole good value for price you pay.

This place was good for the money. The hotel staff we encountered were nice and helpful. they don't charge extra for wifi access, thats a plus. The rooms were very clean, and suited our needs perfectly. The only minor concern I had was in the bathroom, some of the walls had mold discoloration, but very minor at this point. It seems someone may not have […] wiped so well for a couple days. All in all our experience was good. this place is located within a few minutes driving of everywher we wanted to visit. We would definitely stay here again given the oppurtunity and if the price was still right. The breakfast was also a plus, not your usual arrangements of stale donuts and old coffee. they had a nice setting of muffins, cereal, and fruit, on top of the milk and coffee. For people travelling on a budget this is a great place to stay. I loved the welcoming atmosphere. Oh and one more tiny complaint. the pool was closed and I wished we would have know ahead of time as we went out and got suits believing the pool would be open as it was still nice weather out for swimming. It was clean and inexpensive. If you looking for a place to put your head down that's no frills but clean and well kept give this one a try.

It was a very pleasant experience being at the Ramada in Monterey. The staff was very helpful, allowed an early arrival and late departure. Room was clean, bed comfortable, plenty of hot water, the convenience of an iron and ironing board, and other perks. I would recommend the Ramada and would stay there again when in Monterey.

Staff was not real friendly, but room clean and spacious, GREAT PRICE. Breakfast could have been better but muffins were fresh, could have have more fresh fruit. Would stay again.

But it's not a 3 star hotel........not a 2.5 stars.....more like 2 stars. Don't be fooled by the address...........it's right on Munras Ave hotel row. Great location.

Clean with nice hard beds and lots of outlets. Always struggle to find enough outlets for all our appliances and media. This had plenty. Just off the street so traffic noise was noticeable but not bad. Just right for our visit to the Monterey Jazz Festival.

Customer service was nice and polite, room was neat and clean except I found they only vaccumed the floor, got to check underneath small cracks of items or trash. The beds were soft and comfortable, no bed bugs nor any bugs around the room. Fireplace was clean and useable. I would thought that maybe 2 logs would be better than just one. If you get a good price, don´t doubt it, it will be good enough. There´s free parking and you can walk to the Fisherman's Wharf in 20 min. Hotel is clean and nice and breakfast (very simple) is included.

The door to my room did not lock when exiting for the evening. I went to the front desk to inform the staff, who replied "This is a safe area." and that there wasn't much they could do about it this evening. Fortunately, I wasn't leaving anything in the room of value, but still....

The room was extremely overcrowded, not enough room to empty your luggage. The bathroom was in disrepair, mold on windows and near shower. Breakfast was minimal at best. nothing was done to quell the beating of the child next door. would never stay there again.

The location of the hotel was awesome! We were able to get to Big Sur and Andrew Molera State Park and Julia Pheifer Falls withing an hour. The Hotel is right off the PCH 1 so access is very convenient. Also, Fisherman's Wharf is right down the street where you can sit across the harbor while enjoying a great plate of seafood. The rooms are very small and they tried to fit way too many pieces of furniture in it, Our room smelled like cleaning solution and was really nauseating upon entering the room. After a few hours it subsided, but the smell still lingered in certain places of the room. Towels had cigarette burn holes in them and they looked like they had been washed 1000 times in water and bleach. They need to get new ones ASAP! Bathroom was nice and spacious and clean. The shower was big, good water pressure and clean. Bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. Carpet is filthy, so make sure to keep your shoes on. All in all, it was fine to stay there for 1 night since we were out most of the day sight seeing and eating. Mehr

Monterey is magnificent. Great weather, the best aquarium, great restaurants. The Ramada Limited is a good location but poorly run. The woman at the desk didn't know how to get to the airport five minutes away, the room is not clean, and everything is very old. But, it's a good location and cheap.

GREAT LOCATION ! CLEAN, FRIENDLY STAFF. NO COMPLAINTS FROM US WHATSOEVER. OUTSTANDING SERVICE. WE' RETURN.

This place was disgusting, pillows were filthy and not very comfortable. Upon my arrival the tub had a layer of silt on the bottom from what appeared to be a drain unclog. Since I arrived at 11pm I quickly rinsed it out before my wife noticed it. Luckily it did drain. In the morning we all got up to take showers and all noticed that the walk from the […] bed to the tub created black foot prints in the tub... FILTHY place never again. Mehr

I woke up with a Tick on my arm. The Hotel and rooms appear to be clean. The next morning as I was showering off I found a tick attached to my arm. I suppose I could have picked it up elsewhere, but I think I would have noticed it on my forearm.

The room felt a little dirty (especially the carpet), the phone did not work, and ice machine did not work. However, the beds were comfortable and it was quiet in the evening. Close to the road but you couldn't hear a lot of traffic. It was fair quality, but decent for one night's stay.

We just needed a place to stay one night. It was close to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. It is a small place, just a few rooms, but it was nice. The bathrooms were newer. I would stay there again. We got a complimentary breakfast in the morning. That was nice. Easy check in and check out. Reasonable price.

We had a pleasant 2 night stay in Monterey. The beds were nice and firm, plenty of towels provided, small fridge and freezer and microwave in the room were convenient for leftovers. Amazing location across from shopping mall, movie theater and grocery store. Short drive to the wharf and the aquarium. On the down side, we did hear cars driving by the […] busy street all night, very thin walls and ceiling allowed us to hear the guests above us and we had a small plumbing problem that was quickly repaired. The Ramada Inn had clean rooms and friendly service. It was close to all the attractions I was looking to go to and attend. The staff even arranged to drive my friends and I to the location of our downtown wedding as it was cheaper than taking a cab. The hotel is old, the walls very thin. You can hear everything going on in the whole hotel. There is no noisy AC in the room to cover that. Old furniture. Bath, cleanness of the room were ok. Pool area is dirty and rotten. Breakfast is almost nothing. Bread, Coffee and Milk were out and nobody of the personal cared about it. This property is extremely overpriced for what it is and the condition it is in. Other properties in the area for $10-$30 more per night are much nicer. The continental breakfast is stale danish, warm milk or juice and coffee. The Ramada Limited Monterey Carmel was below expectations. With the Ramada name, I expected a little higher quality a Best WEstern or Quality in but it was in the realm of a Motel 6. It was quiet. It was located in a great area

We stayed here for 2 days after traveling up on Highway 1 with the aim to visit Montery and Carmel. The hotel was very comfortable and clean. We had a huge room with a fridge and microwave. The wireless network was strong although we had to keep entering in the password which was a bit of a pain. Breakfast was simple - toast, cereal, fresh fruit, muffins […] - but more than adequate. The hotel is located on the main road heading into Monterey next to all the hotel chains. This location us fine if you have a car but a bit of a walk to the main street if you don't. Mehr

Sorry but have stayed in ramada hotels and always found them to be fantastic value. Until now. From the surly and sulky welcome, to the crumbling paintwork, broken shower and frayed towels I can honestly say for an extra bit if cash, do yourselves a big favour and go elsewhere. It's a good 20 min drive to Monterey beach from here. I know its cheap, […] but I saw similar priced hotels offering a higher standard. I know this because we checked some out. Just FYI: the rooms have no fridges: decor needs an upgrade: near a main road out of Monterey so traffic noise can be heard. It just felt run down and ill maintained.
