ausgesprochen nettes, ruhiges, komfortables Mittelklassenhotel mit exzellenter Lage und Sauna im Keller, die man nur für sich kostenfrei mieten kann.Sehr nettes Personal, tolle Lage. Alles hat gepasst.

Wir würden jederzeit wieder hier herkommen. Auch das Frühstück mit 22 € lohnt sich bei frischem O-Saft und Erdbeeren etc. Guter Service und nettes Personal! Da viel Regen am Wochenende wurde die Sauna mit Fitness genutzt, da war man privat und musste reservieren (kostenfrei) - sehr erholsam.

Sehr zentral gelegen, gute Verkehrsanbindung, trotzdem ruhig, schönes Zimmer, tolles Frühstück, sehr empfehlenswert

Ich kann dieses Hotel in Amsterdam nur empfehlen. Es ist Zentral gelegen - unweit vom Dam entfernt. Die Zimmer waren sauber - besonders das Badezimmer! Täglich frische Handtücher. Nettes Personal. Wir hatten die Zimmer mit Frühstück gebucht. Dabei handelte es sich um ein "Special Offer" = Zimmer buchen und Frühstück ist mit dabei. Bei den normalen Buchungen […] muss man 22,- Euro für das Frühstück bezahlen, was mir persönlich zu teuer gewesen wäre. Mehr

- Das Frühstücksbuffet ist umfangreich und frisch, jedoch relativ teuer. Es lohnt sich einen Übernachtungstarif zu wählen, der das Frühstück einschliesst. - Die Preisunterschiede zwischen Haupt- und Nebensaion sind beträchtlich. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist nur in der Nebensaison sehr gut.

Sehr gute Lage, alle sehr Freundlich, schöne Standard Zimmer mit guter Größe. Tolles Frühstück.

The Convent Hotel is located on one of the main streets in Amsterdam and within easy walking distance to the Centraal Train station and Dam Square-so public transportation is a snap. The one complaint about the staff is that they do not seem very knowledgeable about typical tourist activities in […] Amsterdam and we didn't find a concierge staff member to help with some of our questions. Our booking through hotels.com did not include the breakfast, which looked wonderful and was expensive, so we found a lovely little care within a block or two from the hotel for our breakfasts. Lots of tours seem to use the hotel, so the staff is very comfortable speaking in English with everyone.The entrance to the hotel faces the very busy street, but the rooms are all in the back of the hotel and are very quiet. We enjoyed our stay. I would suggest trying to get the breakfast included in the hotel price. Mehr

To be precise, this hotel had all the qualities I would want. It was in a great location to the sights of Amsterdam, the place was clean and comfortable. I felt safe and just outside was all the great restaraunts you could ask for. The best compliment is out of all the hotels in Amsterdam, I would select this one the next time I go back. All the staff were helpful and very friendly, rooms and hotel in general were clean and pleasant environment. The hotel is ideally situated just down from the central station, and it's an easy walk to all the key attractions. We would recomend this hotel to anyone visiting Amsterdam

Very good location, quiet clean rooms. No safe box in the room, must adjust the heating. I made early reservation so the price was good

Well situated Hotel for all acess to Central Station and central Amsterdam. Rooms are on the small side but the comfort of the beds make up for this minor problem. Reception staff were excellent and most helpful. Highly recommend this Hotel

We arrived to a fan fare of happiness from the Duty Manager and his colleague. This continued for our stay both morning an night. The hotel is in a good location a short walk from Amsterdam Centrale and an easy walk to all your desired Amsterdam treats. The room was fairly normal but very comfy. I stayed on a special deal, so I should have expected to get a small, slightly tired room. The bathroom was particularly poorly maintained in comparison the rest of the room and the hotel - a very scratched sink, old toilet fittings. However, with Rituals products to use (and plenty of them) I can forgive them for that. The bed is really comfortable […] with a lovely duvet. the rest of the room is a little old-fashioned (a chintzy chair), but then I knew this wasn't a design hotel. The location is perhaps what makes this such a gem. It's perfectly walkable to and from the station (or if you're lazy, there's a tram!) and it's a short walk to the main canals and the delights of the Jordaan. Breakfast wsa prohibitively expensive, starting at €15... Definitely worth considering, if you're looking for a good location at a reasonable price. Just don't expect cutting-edge Dutch design. Mehr

This was a terrific hotel with very friendly and helpful staff in a great location 5 minutes walk from the central train station and right across the street from a tram stop. Also, just a few minutes walk from Dam Square. Really nice.

Good hotel with a great location. No problems with any aspect except had a room which backed on to a noisy air conditioning unit outside. Would recommend it overall, unusual bar, staff courteous and helful

Good rooms, good checkin/out. Convenient walk to Central Station, rest of Amsterdam. Our room was lucky?- an opening window onto a neighbors garden. v nice to have fresh air.

We had 3 nights. Arrived by train from the airport to Central Station. It was our first time to Amsterdam and we wanted a hotel that we could walk to. Certainly were not disappointed. Easy 5 min walk with bags. We walked around the city easily from here. Hotel staff were great and got us into our room as quickly as was possible as we arrived at about […] 8am after a long flight from Sydney. Would definitely recommend. Mehr

This hotel was fab, the staff were so friendly , breakfast was plentiful and very nice, room was excellent , my only moan was the water wasn't really hot so my bath atempt was no good, and as it was cold and wet outside I wanted a hot bath, but no moans about anything else we had a lovely stay and would defo go back again

The Convent Hotel Amsterdam is an ideally situated hotel within walking distance of Central Station or just a couple of tram stops. The rooms are excellent very clean and one of the largest and most comfortable beds I have ever slept in and this was in an ordinary room. We visited the convent hotel last week of June. The location is the best and also the staff that are very help full. The room is ok with old style furnitures , not my type but acceptable. However the Hotel charge you for everything you do from using the TV. Yes even if you like to watch the news channel you need to pay few euros per day . Also we had […] a toll free number and the hotel charge you even if you are calling to a toll free number. outrages!!! The hotel was very clean and pretty close to Dam Square and first impressions were very good and the reception staff were very pleasant. The bed was very comfortable and the room overall was large enough, however it was very dark. The outlook from the widow was an alleyway which I have no complaints about, however as there was little natural light, […] better internal lighting needed to be provided. My eyesight is not too bad but it was virtually impossible to read anything comfortably unless you were in the bathroom which was a bit brighter. Mehr

The Convent Hotel is in a great location 10 minute walk from station. The staff are more than helpful and very polite, the bar is cosy and a great breakfast selection in a clean and pleasant dining room with fresh fruit,cold meats/cheese and english breakfast. I would stay there again and recommend this hotel.

Excellent location, but the hotel is in need of very serious repairs, Old and muggy place, save your self the anguish and go else were. I will rate this Hotel at a maximum of 2 stars

Close to everything. We walked to Red Light District, to Dam Square, Train Station. Lots of restaurants. Hotel staff helpful and friendly. Room a little small by U.S. Standards and we had a lot of luggage since coming off a cruise, but that would be my only complaint. Bathroom was large and clean. A little tricky getting into the raised tub if you were […] short, need better placement of hand rails. Beds comfortable, room clean. What surprised me was that we went out Monday morning to find a breakfast restaurant and they were all closed! Ended up back at the hotel, which was finem but restaruants around were less expensive. But all-in-all this was a great choice in hotels! Mehr

We like the hotel at the rate we paid. It is close enough to the central station (though hard to walk to with luggage). Staff are generally friendly. Just one little blemish - the room key system was down until almost midnight. No big deal, just a little inconvenience. G&K

The Convent hotel is in a great location. The room was very comfortable a very large bed. Bathroom good size with nice toiletries. Tea & Coffee making facilities. Very good breakfast .Lovely bar for a drink at the end of the night. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

This hotel was at a fabulous central location. Easy location to most places. tram stop just outside the door. Easy to find from Central Station. Staff really helpful. Allowed us to check in early. Business centre with internet access good. We had a quiet room. Duvet and pillows exceptional.

Very nice hotel, well sited.Straight across road from Central Station and about a 5-10 minute walk. Excellent breakfast and dining room. 10 euro's for a whisky was a little steep but apart from that, highly recommended. Was raining hard when we were there and they lent us umberella's

Good hotel,very convenient for central station. Excellant breakfast & the beds were one of the most comfortable I have slept. Minutes from bars & restaurants.Five minutes from Dam square. 10 minutes from red light district. would definately recommend this hotel,& would use it again.

A straight forward hotel. Very decent quality room, close to the central train station. Friendly front staff.

What I loved about the location of this hotel was that it was close to everything, but not in the heart of all the touristy spots...which in itself brings the tackiest stores, restaurants with the worst food, bad pints etc. The location was great, the rooms were modern. Good location near train station (can easily walk from it), with clean, quiet rooms. A great find.

Lovely hotel just a short walk from central station and a few minutes walk from Dam Square, well situated. Room was clean but bathroom very small and needs upgrading, the bed was very very comfortable with a lovely feather mattress topper and soft pillows which led to a good nights sleep. A mini bar but no safety deposit box and the view out of the […] window was on to a brick wall so you were never sure of what the weather was doing. Overall a nice hotel and we would go back there. Marketed as part of the 'MGallery' collection, which makes it sound rather design-ish, which it is not. It is nice enough, but rather classical in its fittings, which look like they were last updated more than a couple of years ago. Clean and nice enough though - nothing really bad to say about it. The location is great, one of my favorites in Amsterdam. […] Close to everything, but feels a long way away from the shadiness of typical Amsterdam tourist areas.
