Das Hotel ist sauber , die Mitarbeiter helfen einem stets weiter und man sieht ständig jemanden putzen! Das Frühstück besteht aus Toast , frischen Waffeln Kaffe und Säften , also völlig ausreichend für einen ersten Snack. Das Hotel liegt 15 Minuten von Manhatten entfernt , es fährt alle 5 Minuten ein Shuttle Service direkt zum Times Square für 3 $ pro Person. Der Shuttle fährt bis tief in die Nacht. Ich würde dieses Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen.

ausgesprochen nette und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter, liebevoll bereitetes Frühstück, Lobby wird gerade renoviert, das beeinträchtigte uns aber in keiner Weise. Zimmer sehr klein, obwohl wir Deluxe-Kategorie gebucht haben, dafür aber sauber und ansprechend gestaltet. In unserem Zimmer waren die Schränke leider sehr alt, aber ausreichend Platz im Schrank. in der 31. Straße, direkt an der 5th Avenue ist man schnell in Greenwich Village + Soho und -wer mag- auch am Times Square. wir haben alles zu Fuß erreicht. Die Umgebung wirkt sehr sicher, auch als Frau allein.

Das Hotel Wellington liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe der interessantesten Sehenswürdigkeiten. Außerdem ist der Metro-Anschluss direkt vor der Tür für weiter entfernte Ziele. Die Doppelzimmer sind großzügig, gut ausgestattet und ruhig. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
Sie werden bei der Anreise herzlich willkommen geheißen und erhalten einen frisch gebackenen Schokoladen-Cookie. In die großen, komfortablen 2-Zimmer Suiten kehren Sie nach einer Sightseeing- oder Shoppingtour gerne zurück. Sie wohnen zwar äußerst zentral, die Zimmer sind aber überraschend ruhig. Jedes ist mit 2 LCD Fernsehern - einer im Schlafzimmer und einer im separaten Wohnzimmer - ausgestattet, so dass Sie sich nicht um die Fernbedienung streiten müssen. Machen Sie sich in der Mikrowelle Popcorn, nehmen Sie sich aus dem Minikühlschrank ein erfrischendes Getränk und machen Sie es sich vor Ihrer Lieblings-HBO-Sendung gemütlich. Dank des WLAN-Internetzugangs, der in Ihrer Suite gegen einen Aufpreis, in der Lobby kostenfrei zur Verfügung steht, können Sie auch im Internet surfen.

Sehr schönes Hotel, unmittelbar am Times Square. Wegen der großen Suites (2 Zimmer) sehr gut für Familien mit Kindern geeignet. Die Zimmer sind trotz der lauten Umgebung relativ ruhig (gute Schallisolation)

Das Hotel liegt zentralst in Manhattan und ist ein idealer Ausgansgspunkt für die Besichtigung des "Big Apple" - liegt direkt an U-Bahn-Station, die U-Banh bringt einen schnell und kostengünstig in alle Stadtteile!
"Jederzeit wieder"
Top-Lage direkt am Times Square mit U-Bahn-Station gleich neben dem Hoteleingang bzw. gegenüber ist einfach genial. Unsere Suite reichte platzmäßig für 4 Personen und war in einem guten Zustand. Zimmer wurde täglich gereinigt. Das Einzige, das uns abging, war eine "Garderobe" für unsere Jacken - musste man halt mit den Kleiderhäken an die Türen bzw. […] Kastentüren hängen. "Bequem"
Das Hotel is bequem gelegen am Rande von Times Square. Es bietet sehr geräumige Zimmer ausgestattet mit grossen Flachbildschirmfernsehern. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist fantastisch! Sehr empfehlenswert.

Das Hotel hat die beste Lage für einen Besuch in New York! Direkt am Timessquare, mitten drinnen im Geschehen. Besser geht es nicht. Die Zimmer (34. Stock, Minisuite) sind geräumig für 3 Personen, perfekt, vielleicht ein wenig abgewöhnt, aber alles da, volle Ausstattung. Wir können dieses Hotel jedem empfehlen der sich ein paar schöne Tage in NY machen […] will. Ideal auch für Familie mit Kind, man würde sogar 4Leute unterbringen. The stay was fantastic! We love the DoubleTree hotel in Times Square! So convenient and pleasant. The only problem was that the curtains in the living room did not close all of the way. We needed to use the pull out bed in the couch and it was very bright in the room when trying to sleep. Otherwise, everything was great. Thank you!

"Convenience and Comfort in Times Square"
The Doubletree in Times Square proved to be an excellent alternative to the Marriott Marquis, within which my business conference was being held. Almost directly across the street from the Marquis, the Doubletree offered a scaled down, comfortable alternative to staying at the Mega-Hotel in which most of the conference-goers were residing. At check […] in, we recieved the standard complimatary Doubletree warm cookies (yum), and the excellent news that we were to be upgraded to a King corner room, directly overlooking the lights of Times Square. The view was absolutely breathtaking. Our room felt like it was right in the middle of the action. The lights from Times Square were so bright that we needed to close the triple shades on the windows to close all of the light out throughout the night. We ordered room service, which was pretty mediocre in quality, taste and portion size for the cost - but that is to be expected in NYC. The space in the room was excellent for a mid-town hotel. The suite configuration definitely allowed for a roomier feel. I would recommend this hotel to others. Mehr

The Doubletree is right in the center of the TSQ attractions, we walked everywhere! service was excellent, the doormen are always helpful with taxis & limos. Our concierge was very helpful with show tickets. The hotel was clean and we had no issues in our room, which was quite large. We had one meal in the restaurant, which was not stellar. Service […] was good, but the food was average. Wish it had a hot tub & pool, but the location makes up for it. I will definitely stay again. Mehr

"WOW!!!"
Our family (two adults and two teenagers) spent four nights at this hotel the week before Christmas and it was fantastic! It was amazing to be in the heart of Times Square during this time of year. It was close to all of the things we wanted to do (rockafeller center, central park, all of the store windows, etc..). We walked everywhere and the places […] we couldn't walk to the subway was only two blocks away. We had a wonderful time. The staff at the hotel was awesome and very helpful about finding restaurants, tickets to shows, directions and subway routes. The suite was very comfortable and we had room to spread out a bit. Our view from the 32nd floor was very cool, looking straight out to the wonderful billboards of Times Square. I would definately reccommand this hotel. Mehr
"Doubletree Suites NYC - fine for families"
We chose this particular hotel because of previous reviews and honestly we were happy with the result. A family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids aged from 14 down) - this hotel was central to everything in NYC. Although we thought it would be a little more family orientated - wasn't really - we found that we were within walking distance from everything from […] the Empire State Building and down to Central Park. The staff we had reason to talk with were very helpful (in particular Michael on the front desk) who paid particular attention to our daughter who had allergies.. What didn't we like? Well we weren't particularly fussed with their restaurant - but it didnt matter - all you had to do was walk out the door and you're in Times Square - you just go somewhere else! All in all - we were happy with our choice and would stay there any time... Mehr

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Nice rooms with a very comfortable atmosphere. Staff requires a room key to enter into the building in the evening which is an added safety measure. Will stay again!

The location and standard of the hotel was excellent.We had two rooms for a family group of five. Everyone felt very safe and the presence of staff checking access to the hotel at night made us feel even more secure. The only negative at the hotel was the charge for use of the wi-fi which could be accessed for free from a number of nearby locations. "Good stay with bumps in the road"
Pros:Excellent location and great 43rd floor room with fantastic view of Times Square. Easy to get to shows. Helpful staff and great consierge services. Cons: Housekeeping was a joke; lucky to finally get room stocked with essentials: towels, bathrobes,coffee. Trash sorting was a pain with some guilt not sorting. Receptacles were small. If they are […] trying to get "green" - leave towels that are hung up to dry for use the second day. Instead, towels were replaced anyway. No need to change linens everyday either. Carpet vacuuming done once during our 7-day stay. Heating was working in the bedroom, but no heat going to the living area. Television was confusing and difficult to operate. Many cable problems while viewing. WiFi was extremely slow and locked up on several occasions. Hotel was of no help and got transfered to AT&T technical support who couldn't address the internet problem. 1st floor security was rigid in requiring identification for access to lobby and room floors. I felt like it was TSA and would require a body search. Chocolate cookies? What reward do diabetics have? Re Warning:hotel resturant "Gingers" was way over priced for food and service. Not much of a healthy selection and little options. Breakfast menu was limited and the buffet was "unappetizing." Some resturant staff were indifferent and appeared to hate their jobs. Mehr

WOW, what an amazing location. Times Square felt like the center of activity and the hotel was directly located in the center. You are in close walking distance to Rockefellar Center, Empire State Building, Toys R Us and John's Pizza. Our hotel room had plenty of room for our family(two boys). They slept on a queen size pull out sofa and we had a separate […] bedroom with king size bed.This hotel was recommended by a friend and I will never stay anywhere else when we come back to visit NYC. Love this hotel! My husband and I love staying here right at Time Square when we come into the city. We love getting a room with a view of Times Sqaure. The rooms are very nice and always very clean. We love all the room you get in the rooms. The warm cookies are a plus too!

"Perfect for a family with children"
We stayed four nights in a suite and could not be happier. The separate living room area was perfect for the kids and 2 televisions was a convenience. Location is amazing at the heart of time square. Very clean, safe and all staff was polite and accomodating. Beds are very comfortable. Took the train to Penn and a 5 min cab ride got us to Double tree. Will […] definately be back. "Hilton Time Square - Can't Beat Location"
Lots of space by NYC standards. Sofa bed was unusable - very thin mattress with springs sticking out. Room could've been cleaner - found random hairs and didn't clean under beds very well. View was ok on 34th floor. Staff was great. Supposed to have free wifi in lobby but repeated tries were unsuccessful. Ended up paying to use the business center which […] had very slow connection (and charges by the minute.) Overall very good. Mehr

"Great hotel, great hotel, hurricane friendly"
My wife and I stayed in the Double tree suites on times square in Aug/Sept 2011 while on a honeymoon around the world. The hotel was very well placed close to all the action on times square. All the rooms are suites and they had a nice clean and modern feel to them.The staff were all friendly and helpful. We had to stay in our hotel for about 36 hours […] while NY city shutdown during Hurricane Irene but it was fine, we had everything we needed in the hotel with free internet in the lobby, 2 big screen TVs in our suite and a kitchenette where we could prepare food. "Too Much Noise"
I would have enjoyed my stay much better if not facing Times Square and a lower floor. Times Square is very noisy and the black out curtains really don't block out all of the lighting. I would stay here again, but not in a room facing Times Square. Hard to sleep with so much yelling, taxi honking, etc. Lesson learned.

Excellent location, right in the heart of Times Square - rooms were clean. Curtains kept out the bright lights and you couldn't hear the noise. Whatever we asked for (extra blanket, toiletries) we received right away. The bed was very comfortable. The pull ot couch did not look comfortable, but my kids didn't seem to mind. We didn't get a room with a view but we didn't stay for that anyway. Need to pay for parking and getting in and out with CAR with luggage was hectic but the bell hop service was very good. We wanted a home base to walk around and see the sites in Time Square and this location was perfect for that. I would probably not take my car next time. Great hotel. Downsides were that you had to get to 3rd floor for lobby and then take a second elevator to your room. I would have liked free wi-fi and free breakfast like we get at chains which are much less pricey, but can't really complain. Loved the hotel and location
Very comfortable bed, friendly staff, great place to go with kids. I was surprised how quiet our room was, and the blackout drapes work great. We enjoyed our stay, and the kids loved the cookies from the lobby!
